Ok so I've been working on a Pre-War history as well as a mini history of the war but I've run into a few snags. So instead of banging my head against a wall, I'm going to tell you my plan for your nations roll in the great war. The war itself was not just two sides, but a collection of simultaneous conflicts that engulfed the continent in war.
The first conflict was fought by @SedentaryCobra and The Tri-Tusk Tribe against the vampire empire, which at the time was the biggest faction.
The second, was the tribal wars of the desert. @ChelonianCommander at the time, your faction was widely divided and had multiple tribes claiming themselves the top dog.
The Third takes place in the southern forests. @Earth before the war, there were lots of factions that inhabited that southern area. You bide your time and after they destroyed each other, you simply cleaned up.
To fix the missing spot, I added a much larger faction to the east before the war that was literally eaten alive by the native reptiles, unable to properly defend themselves.
The last thing I've come up with was the northern mountain range was originally home to a native Harpy population. My idea for harpies in this world is much different than the typical. Men and women who are scratched by a harpy begin becoming one. The transformation itself is so painful, it drives them insane. They grow feathers and their bone structure morphs, becoming this ugly avian-human monster. @Mizzrym during the war your conflict with the harpies reached its peak.
@BrookeDi your faction was secluded from the war by its natural defenses. But, your people suffered the longest recorded winter in history. Many died to starvation and froze to death due to the harsh weather. Though your armies never fought, your people were decimated by famine and disease and frosty death.

Let me know what you think, tell me if you had something else in mind for your nations part in the war. Questions, Comments, Concerns are encouraged :)

@MossbergShotty
I dont mind the harpy war, learning how to beat them into submission, eat or use for parts is something i could see my folks doing, however, if any kind of war broke out or fighting that would reach the ears of my people body snatchers, kidnappers and things of that nature would shuffle in while stressing be unseen. IF that's something you could see/allow. if brooke never fought in the war itself i take she would open trade between folks around her or craft a task force to take some farm land, the land to her east and the lakes to west on my land would be prime targets. that said could pay some of my tunnel workers to make her some cave-farms to grow and eat yummy fungus lol or maybe some spider legs lol hehe. All on the nature of what brooke would think her folks would/could do if she agreed to this pre-war stuff, could even see my folks in abuse of it that would then lead to us breaking out into that major war.

Could even make contract exchange for yeti support when fighting the harpies.

The others, chel, earth you and cobra commander would have mixed feelings, punks stealing bodies and looting corpses doesn't really win you too many popularity points.

As for what rolled we played up to and during the war would kinda matter on what every one else is up to more so those 2 forces around me, we would on act of faith hounding folks that used outward magic and drag them to home for judgement and punishment. War breaking out would just make the zealous hunters go ape shit crazy, forces would give pursuit in mages and the spheres of power that protected them. So i guess it would be like a silent crusade. They would focus on trying to control mountains and then start to dig into them, enforce and construct artillery towers on the mountains while making the cave and tunnels made as much of a death trap as they could.

They would have no love for wide open spaces, smaller towns not built into a mountain are constructed as mounds and under earth buildings for travelers, never large scale operations. In the haze and fog of war they would branch and root in as silently as they could and in some cases literally undermine defensive points all the while stressing not being in a large above ground or flat land fight, they would want to fight near mountains and hills where tricks and traps could be used as their forces are often small and light.

For whatever reason, I didn't get any alerts on the main thread or when you tag me here the first time... I almost thought the rp is dead :v

Now I'm reading up on other faction and think of a way to believably survive and wncounter against them :p

@Mizzrym Hope you're ok with being our cartographer
I don't mind though i need the folks that don't have the means to work and would like my help to send me a message about when we can meet and talk things out, once all the maps are done a could make a large view of the map that flags roads and points of interest as well as place where the demons are spilling out from.

I'm currently in the process of claiming the last spot(I think) in the central riverlands.
