Backstory: Felicia was born in Moscow, Russia and spent over half of her life there, until her parents decided to move to America when she was twelve. Her life was relatively peaceful and ordinary, despite her troubles picking up English. She was two years into a degree in psychotherapy before she found herself abducted and thrown into some sick psychological experiment herself.

Personality: (Beginning of the rp, I fully intend to develop this character.) Anjali is hesitant in nearly everything she does. She has trouble speaking her mind, even to stand up for what she really believes in. She has a kind heart, but while it is in the right place, she often finds her judgement clouded by being too close to a situation. Because of all this, Anjali is easily swayed and manipulated. She's smart enough to realize it, but rather than stand up for herself, she keeps her emotions bottled up and becomes increasingly resentful of both the people around her for using her and herself for letting them.

Ability: Bouts of superhuman strength. These may last 15-20 seconds, though exhaustion is common after this ability is used. It comes out in moments of high stress. Will awaken in a small forested area West of the Lake.

Appearance: For the most part, refer to the picture. Anjali's family is from India, though she was raised in the US. She wears her hair just past her shoulders, usually down or in a low ponytail. She has a slight build and while she's healthy, she's always been a bit self conscious of her lack of curves. At the start of the rp, wearing jeans, a black tank top, hiking boots, and a blue flannel overshirt.

Backstory: Anjali has spent most of her life doing as she's been told. Her father is a single parent to her and her little sister, and his intense and controlling attitude shaped every aspect of her teenage years. She has always felt immense pressure to preform to his standards, academically and socially. Before the story, Anjali was a pre-med student at Harvard planning to go into surgery, a career path heavily influenced by her father's expectations though she wouldn't ever admit it. While Anjali wants to help others, she doesn't know if medicine is the way she wants to leave her mark on the world.

The one rebellion Anjali has kept from her father is her girlfriend, Ryann. Anjali is bisexual, but knows her father would never approve. The two have been together for two years and Anjali's family knows nothing of the relationship. At the beginning, Anjali considered dating Ryann a secret freedom, but lately, things have changed. Ryann has become more and more controlling in the relationship, often getting overly angry at Anjali over small issues. The last night Anjali remembers in the 'outside world,' she and Ryann had a fight that ended in Ryann physically hitting her, shoving her down the stairs of their shared apartment. Deep down, Anjali knows the relationship is unhealthy, but actually admitting it to herself is a different story.

Name: Isaac Yu
Age: 22
Gender: Male

Personality: Isaac is pretty laid back and openly charismatic when everything is normal, being thrown out of his comfort zone causes him to be cautious and a bit suspicious but also much bolder in turn, trusting his instincts in the moment over detailed planning. He's rather quiet around large groups people that he doesn't know well, not because he’s shy but because he prefers to blend in and get a feel for the situation/people before contributing in order to step on as few toes as possible and make his life easier. Once he has a grasp of what’s going on he’s outgoing and will often crack jokes. While it's not often that he will straight out lie he will withhold pieces of the truth if he doesn't feel the other person/people necessarily need to know, this is not with the intention to mislead or for his own gain even though it often looks that way.

Special Ability: Pathfinding: Your character can track someone or something for up to two miles. This is the only ability without side effects. Will awaken East of the lake.

Appearance: 5’9”, of average build. Has a respectable amount of muscle built up from track in high school and jogging every morning but you'd never see it through his clothing. Both of his parents are Korean, though only his father was born there. He has dark hair that’s got a bit of a stubborn wave to it which is usually pushed back out of his face and dark brown - nearly black - eyes. Otherwise, see img.
Current outfit consists of a knit navy blue sweater with a dark grey sport material t-shirt worn underneath, beige khakis with several pockets and black running shoes.

Backstory: Lives with his mother, father and twin sister Hana just south of the Canadian border near the coast in Maine, though more often than not it’s just him, his sister and his father - his mother being the head of a rather large company and having to travel all around North America because of it. He currently works 5 days a week as an electrition, having gone straight into an apprenticeship following the co-ops he did in highschool.
The last clear memory he has is going for an early morning jog, stopping by the docks to watch the sun come up and replying to his sister's text of 'want pancakes for breakfast?'.

Memento: A long since broken compass that he’s had since he was little.

Hm. This isn't a well balanced group. May redo my character concept. I was planning on doing something where she can only really start using her special ability as she learns to stick up for herself, but honestly, joking aside, flow of the roleplay is important.

Give me a day, Greener, I'll give you someone to butt heads with.

I'll still be sticking the RP thread up but we will wait for after your first reply- just to give people some time to simmer up some good ol' first posts. No rush on your character profile!

And honestly- I will be editing mine as well to adapt to make things more FUN for everyone. Expect some changes on Mirabelle's CS before I throw up the RP thread! C:
 
For Isaac I was trying to go with something more 'he'll blend 'till he gets a good read on everyone else/the situation but once he does he's more charismatic/out going' sort of thing. Guess it didn't come across that way, personality sections are tricky because I know how he'll react to things but that can sometimes sound a little contradictory y'know. I'll try and work on that.

Edit; This is more the part that I was going for personality wise;

That other part is more just throwing into the cautious/not too sure what's going on bit that he's going to find himself in with 5 strangers.

Edit #2; Edited Isaac's personality section. Hopefully that's more clear? I promise he's decidedly not shy and will not hesitate to speak up when confronted.

Yes! Him and Mirabelle are the only ones reasonably close to it besides Alistair, but he is way upstream.

I'll be making a makeshift map and sticking it to a tab in the RP thread for you guys as well!

I made sure to put "at first" in the description. The only reason she stays quiet is because her broken English embarrasses her. Once she finds out that no one minds, she'll speak up more.

I forgot to mention that there is a link to an OOC/Q&A thread in the first post now, oops- It is about 5 meters I'd imagine, and quite cold. Likely easy to cross if you find a fallen log or feel like getting your shoes/pants wet! C:
 
Okay, so would you all like me to rework the character? I don't want there to be flow problems with the RP, but if you guys think it won't be an issue I won't bother.

I honestly don't think that it will be much of a problem. I tweaked Mira's personality and I know several others have re-worked theirs. Plus I just really happen to love your character write-up c:
