Galactic Legacy 5/5

If that's the case, I assume then their primary form of attack is pretty much to just rush at and break the enemy in a single push?

Cauterization does not negate their healing capabilities, but I will put forth that it does slow it down considerable, since they have to generate completely new tissue on top of fixing preexisting damage. And the idea of "overloading" their healing factory is very much a possibility. I suppose if one was going for that route, then perhaps with enough sustained small/medium arms fire, it could be done. As for how much damage, I'd have to figure that out, but I'm a fairly reasonable person when it comes to things like that.

The Keltans are not indestructible or unstoppable by any means, and they lack the scientific and engineering knowledge of most of the other factions. The main threat they pose is in army vs army ground conflicts, or boarding enemy ships.
Ah great, so exactly what the Forla specialise in.

Some of the clans are capable of using actual battle doctrine. Clan N'lullun, for example, are one such clan, along with Clan Rialoch, both of which were mentioned in my most recent post. But other than rare exceptions, the basic battle strategy is to force as many on-foot confrontations as possible.

They use weapons, both modern ranged weaponry and traditional melee weapons. One Warrior might be carrying a triple barreled, jerry-rigged close ranged particle cannon, the next a rapid fire rail rifle, and then the one after that might come charging in with two battle axes. There is no "standard load out" for the Keltan military. Each soldier picks and chooses what they take into combat, whether they forged it themselves, or stole it from a corpse.

Question! Do the Keltans feel fear in any shape or form? Is there anything that could make them afraid of something?

They fear disappointing their Butcher King, and they fear dying without glory, or without purpose. More than those, they fear the ire of their god, for they know that if they fail to satisfy its hunger, it will turn its teeth on them. Almost everything they do is fueled by a religious zealotism.

I've been focusing far more on their culture and historical backstory / lore than much else with them, so these types of questions are easier to answer.

So I assume dying with glory would be dying against an enemy. If that's the case, are there enemies that won't bring them glory? Or will they simply wish to fight and die in a glorious battle?

I kinda just realised how much the Keltan and the Forla are opposites. Everything the Keltan do is in the name of religion while religion itself is a foreign concept to the Forla. The Keltan have wiped out hundreds of species, the Forla have adopted them. The Keltan are ruled by one, the Forla many. The Forla are diverse by nature, the Keltan by conquest.

Glory doesn't mean just one enemy, or one battle. Since the Keltans have no written history, everything is passed down orally, through tales and stories and song. Glory means being worthy of having your life retold to others, many generations after your death. Very few Keltans ever find true Glory, but all of them seek it, feverishly at times.

Enemies that bring no glory are those that are already defeated. Their slaves, for example, or if they came upon an opponent who was already fighting a losing battle.

...it would seem to handle them would be best by baiting their zealous nature into traps or fighting them indirectly. to keep away and allow smaller damage be ignored till suddenly its compounded onto itself and then abuse it....mm i have an idea.
oh oh oh...

The average Keltan can dead-lift approximately six hundred kilograms. Since the Forlan use plasma based weaponry, I'm going to guess that it would take maybe six or seven plasma-to-skin direct hits to put down a Keltan Warrior once you factor in their asinine regenerative properties and the sheer density of their physical make up. Unless, of course, you score a vital blow to the cranium, or to one of their three hearts, then it'd probably be more like two or three shots.
and what would you say to the force of a spore rifle? i know it wouldnt be a "ONE PUNCH" scenario, but those do some considerable damage,

Seems so. Speed would also be key here and, for the Forlan at least, a wide range of the heavier guns available.

Should also speak on how it handles shielding, it could do well when dealing physical damage to a alloyed hull but fail to do much in way of energy-damage to a shield.

Sounds like they want a good fight not to just steam roll whatever they come across, take they may judge one prey over another pending on how well they put up a fight?
