Post your characters for Starting Over here.
Rules:
1. Observe site rules. Duh.
2. Don't copy someone else's character. If it's close to your idea, come up with something new or discuss with them first before posting yours. Maybe your characters are family, friends, or grew up together. Or even rivals. Work it out.
3. No real life face claims. Art only, and nothing M or XXX. I shouldn't have to say that.
4. Characters can only be between the ages of 13 to 23 unless there is a good reason for them to be older or younger. If that's the case please make it clear in their bio.
5. You can have up to 2 main characters at a time. If you want a new character, we'll work out how to organically phase one of the others out.
6. If you want to join but just as a "guest", you can send me a profile by private message and if approved, just hop into the game for a bit and shake things up. Think of them as the baddie of the week or the guest star if this was a tv show. Only do this if you're going to be active, though.
7. Romance and violence as well as dark themes are allowed. But keep underage characters out of it. Be aware of site rules and don't be overly graphic. Troubled pasts for younger characters are ok so long as any unsettling details remain vague.
8. If you drop out without warning, we're going to assume your character strayed from the group and got lost. If you stay gone, they'll be presumed dead. Conversely, if you just want a break, we can discuss handling the absence.
9. You can play NPCs and shape the plot yourself, just don't take direct control of someone else's character. I may interject about locations and backstory if no one else has input about it, but really I want us all to share this story and run with it creatively.
10. I'm in control of the timing. That's the only "GM thing" I will do. I'm reserving the timing so we stay on the same page and nobody gets left behind or in the dark. For example, if I say it's 1 in the morning, it's 1 in the morning until everyone has posted, then I'll skip ahead in time based on what the characters are doing. If everyone is asleep I'll probably skip to morning unless something interesting happens while they are asleep. Just take note of where and when we are and don't ignore other players.
