Theo was about to respond when the ghost that had triggered this whole mess appeared and blocked the path. He was about to tell Grell that he would be careful or she would have to get in line with Deslin who would want to murder him first. He would look over Kylie.

He wasn't sure what to do as he appeared to be off the man's radar, but he cared for a lot of the people who were with him now. He wasn't sure how he felt about not being able to help. but he listened to the girl. " Okay, I got it," he whispered so not to draw the attention of the chaos ghost's service. Theo wasn't sure how he felt about being the hero again, but it didn't seem like he had the choice. He would take a moment to compose himself and rush carefully to where she had told him to go and did a slide to push the bottom button as he had been told by the ghost. " Mr. Ghost, please don't be a bad one, and help my friends, I hope this was enough," he said, hoping it would be enough.

Chapter 4 - Hello?

As Theo flipped the switch warning sirens started blaring through the entire basement accompanied by flashing lights.

“What is this loud blaring?!” Arioch looked around as Kylie tried to wrestle some control of him with her proton stream. The door to the containment field sprung open and out wandered a familiar figure.

“I do not often aim to hurt others…” Arioch was flung towards the wall with enough force to crack it.

“But to you I will make an exception.” Dear Lois stood before them much as she did before they found her charred remains. The switch flipped up again next to Theo as the sirens stopped blaring and lights stopped flashing. The door behind Lois slammed shut as she took a few more steps glaring at Arioch. “You ambushed me, murdered me in cold blood, by the hands of someone I thought a friend. You are a vile creature.”

Arioch laughed in response. “Yes, yes I am!” He melted into the wall before suddenly emerging behind Lois. ”I killed you once human and I will kill you again! I am as strong as I believe I am! You are no- urk!” He felt something crushing his windpipe as he was flung through the floor and beyond before vanishing from sight.

“I apologize for the floor…and the ceiling.”

With Arioch gone the others found that the floor returned to its original form and allowed them to become free.
“Lois!” Janine exclaimed in surprise. “How can you be here when we-”

“I’ll try to explain once we have solved the problem at hand. We are running out of time. Arioch might be powerful but his master I found out is a level far beyond him.” As she said that they could feel the entire building shake. “Oh no…” Lois made her way towards the steps that had now returned to their original shape. As they got up to the main floor, she pushed open the door to the outside where it seemed that the snow had finally stopped, and a clear night sky was now above them.

That was except…for the giant eye looming down on them, and tentacles. So many tentacles squirming about as if it was trying to break through reality itself. Lois looked up to the sky in horror. “I was too late…he’s here.”

“Who? Who’s here?”

“Shuma Gorath.”

Li-Ming had been kind of following the motions of everyone around her. She followed the team downstairs and was confused when Dear Lois appeared.

But when the tentacles appeared, she snapped back to the present.

"Mysterious Heroine, with me!" She shouted, grabbing her staff. Li-Ming would begin to cast a counterspell against the monster in case anything happened.

She had defeated both Diablo and Malthael, and she would not be defeated here, in this mysterious place by a demon she had never heard of before.

"Who is this?" She asked Dear Lois. "Exactly what are we facing?"

Hazel stayed behind everyone, hesistating from going down for a moment, partly from fear due to the new blood, or because of the remaining blood that was soaking her shoes. But when she looked back, what did she see? Darkness. And Hazel wasn't usually scared of darkness, but she sure as heck was now. Cringing at the squishy, wert sound of the blood that was soaking her shoes just like water, Hazel went down the stairs slowly to reveal...

The basement, with the ghosts? Well...guess that was better then the other...room. Hazel supressed a thought earlier when she considered breaking the safe open for the heck of it, but now? She wanted anything but for ghosts to pour out there like water. Hazel crounched down, and took some deep breaths, as well as talking her blood-bathed shoes off.

"So...does anyone know anymore about this Arioch? Or at least give me what you know about...it? He seems really powerful, and you know...kinda impossible to defeat."

Hazel took out her notepad, and started writing shakily. "Name: Arioch(?)"

"We don't, other then the stuff we found in the books about Lords of Chaos. We also know there's a master, but that's about it." Kylie was interrupted by a sound. A tapping sound that seemed to be getting louder and louder coming from inside the containment unit. "It's not supposed to do that..."

"Seems like that happens a lot," Ethan replied to Kylie's remark about things not supposed to be happening, stepping forward in front of Grell and the little girls as if in a protective manner, just in case whatever was inside happened to be unfriendly.

He didn't quite know what he planned on doing after that, but it seemed that before he was able to really decide, Theo made a move for him, trying to beckon it, so the man let him do that and see what happened.

"Theo, I swear if you get possessed I will strike you down myself!" Grell hissed, glaring at the young from behind Ethan. The death and killings were all behind them now, were they not? If sonething so stupid and senseless happened to restart it all... Grell frowned, remembering how everything had finally started to go right once that little plastic menace was eliminated, only for Solomon Grundy to show up, and...!

To Theo's question the tapping had no turned into a banging. "It's definitely not supposed to do that." Kylie readied the proton pack and followed Theo towards the containment unit, since she was the only one with any real expertise with it.

"Foolish." As they just made their way to the unit Arioch would float out from the floor blocking the others path to the containment unit. "Why do you persist? Like flies you continue to swarm around me yet you have no power. Give up now and let His will be made." He handed out his hand to the gathered group clearly waiting for someone to see it his way.

Grell's apprehension turned to irritation. "Will you give it a rest already?" She rolled her eyes. "I mean, really, for someone who works in the name of chaos, you're incredibly dull! 'Join me or die'...you realize you'd need to do far better than that to convince anyone to join you!"

"Then," Grell and the others started to feel their feet followed by their legs sinking into the floor. "You die through pain and agony!"

Meanwhile on the other side Thuro and Kylie seemed to be off the man's radar for the time being. Seeing what was happening Kylie turned towards Thuro as she flicked a switch bringing power to her proton pack. "I'll try to get his attention and help the others. There's a switch on the bottom side to the left that gives it power, we have to shut it off. The biometric scanner's not going to allow anyone except senior Ghostbusters to access it but a power influx might be enough to get to what ever is doing that banging out of the unit." Having said that she fired towards Arioch to try and help the others hoping Theo could do what she had told him.

Simon couldn't hide it anymore. He was afraid.

Afraid of what he would find inside of that unit, afraid of what Arioch, or whatever else it might be would do to him, but as Arioch appeared in front of them, asking why they persisted... He suddenly felt a renewed sense of confidence washing over him.

"I... I don't know! But... What I know is you won't stop me from doing what I have to! Whatever is inside of that unit... We-... I... Will stop it myself!" He shouted.

But even as he prepared to fight against Arioch, the switch to power off the containment field was flipped... And thus, the monstrosity it held within was revealed, the true 'mastermind' behind this.

Arioch was merely a pawn... This creature, the one Lois called "Shuma Gorath".

There was no time to explain its nature, as it had already arrived... But Simon didn't care.

Something in him stirred.

The same feeling he felt when he had dreamt of Sophie jumping off of that building, and saw a monstrosity rise.

The same feeling he felt when he had faced that twisted version of himself in one final 'dream' that would change his life forever. A dream that had turned out to be a psychosis that cost two officers their lives.

But right here, right now... He wasn't going to make that same mistake.

Dream or not, he was going to... Finish this.

"I... Will... STOP YOU!!!" He shouted suddenly.

And with that, he began to open fire on Shuma Gorath, emptying his entire Glock Magazine into the creature without a second thought.

But in all likelihood, this wouldn't do much, and he would have to think fast... He would have to improvise, but in this moment, he simply wasn't thinking, at all.​

" Simon, SIMON, we can't go fight something we know nothing about," he said to him, hoping that his block was successful and hadn't hit many organs.

Li-Ming knew knowledge was power. That's why she gained so much knowledge. So when an idiot started attacking before she could begin gaining that needed knowledge, Li-Ming was visibly slightly angry. "Tch." She vocalized. Seeing Theo move forward to tank the bullets, she cast a spell on both him and herself.

"Diamond Skin." She said, gesturing with her staff, hoping the bullets would disintegrate upon hitting their now hardened skin.​

....There really wasn't much Hazel could do, really. She had spent all that time hiding behind the others. After all, she was just a little girl, what could she do physically? Sure, her negotiation skills were top notch, but...yeah. Nothing she could do. She flipped Arioch off behind the guard of Grell, but that was it, she clung on to others after that. Then, she saw Dear Lois, and although she was scared, that some brain monster had somehow came back and was strong enough to fight back against Arioch, she realised quickly that the brain abomination was on her side. Hazel finally got back some of her bold courage that she usually had. She stepped out from behind the others, putting on a facade of bravado.

Only to see.....THAT. Dear God. Hazel didn't back down though. That thing was just an eyeball, and it hasn't done anything, it was just an eyeball octopus. Maybe it was the type of mastermind who let his chess pieces do all the work, and had no power themselves. Just like gang leaders. HAzel stared right into its large eye, and stepped forward, fakely smirking. She was scared, but come on, being scared was weak.

"....Is this thing able to speak and listen to us? Or will we have to get through it by blunt force? Through its eye?"
Hazel turned around.
"Does anyone have a spare thing I could use to defend myself? I don't really care what, just as long as I can maybe kill this thing with it."

"Friend might be a bit strong since we hardly know each other, but hey... Enemy of my enemy is my friend," Ethan said coolly in the face of Dear Lois's return, laying witness to her seemingly making short work of Arioch.

And then... his so-called master appeared, once they were led outside.

And what an ugly motherfucker he was.

"And I thought I'd seen it all," he grunted, his brow narrowed as he bore an expression between some degree of astonishment and determination to put down this so-called lord of chaos. He was about to follow Simon's lead and fire at the massive monster looming from above with his own handgun, but Theo's more cautious warning caused him to stay his hand, at least for now, causing him to think for a moment about just what this master was even doing here.

"But... What is he doing here? Is he waiting for something? The way he's watchin' us is giving me the jeebies..." Ethan murmured uneasily to no one in particular.

"It looks like it's still trying to break through." Kylie replied looking into the sky. "Maybe there's still time to stop this?"

As Kylie was talking the group could hear the phone calling from back inside the firehouse causing Janine to run back in to pick it up. The group could hear her shouting from inside before she rater quickly came back. "That was the Ghostbusters. They've found something that might stop this."

"Four spirit anchors placed around the city," Dear Lois replied. "Sorry, but time is off the essence."

"I was going to say that and that the Ghostbusters and everyone else is already heading to the places, but they could really use the help."

"It appears we should split up and destroys these anchors in an attempt to stop this Shuma Gorath to pass through completely. What are these locations?"

"I know you don't know any of these places, but they seem to be in Time Square, 550 Central Park West, where picked you guys up. The New Yrok City Public library and the Sedgewick Hotel...huh crazy that they all seem to be in locations tied to the Ghostbusters. So now we got to split up and go help out. I dunno how much help you'll be against the ghosts but I bet you can all smash some trinkets."

The path seemed to be clear, now everyone just had to decide on where they should head next.

Only to see.....THAT. Dear God. Hazel didn't back down though. That thing was just an eyeball, and it hasn't done anything, it was just an eyeball octopus. Maybe it was the type of mastermind who let his chess pieces do all the work, and had no power themselves. Just like gang leaders. HAzel stared right into its large eye, and stepped forward, fakely smirking. She was scared, but come on, being scared was weak.

"....Is this thing able to speak and listen to us? Or will we have to get through it by blunt force? Through its eye?"
Hazel turned around.
"Does anyone have a spare thing I could use to defend myself? I don't really care what, just as long as I can maybe kill this thing with it."

"Friend might be a bit strong since we hardly know each other, but hey... Enemy of my enemy is my friend," Ethan said coolly in the face of Dear Lois's return, laying witness to her seemingly making short work of Arioch.

And then... his so-called master appeared, once they were led outside.

And what an ugly motherfucker he was.

"And I thought I'd seen it all," he grunted, his brow narrowed as he bore an expression between some degree of astonishment and determination to put down this so-called lord of chaos. He was about to follow Simon's lead and fire at the massive monster looming from above with his own handgun, but Theo's more cautious warning caused him to stay his hand, at least for now, causing him to think for a moment about just what this master was even doing here.

"But... What is he doing here? Is he waiting for something? The way he's watchin' us is giving me the jeebies..." Ethan murmured uneasily to no one in particular.

"It looks like it's still trying to break through." Kylie replied looking into the sky. "Maybe there's still time to stop this?"

As Kylie was talking the group could hear the phone calling from back inside the firehouse causing Janine to run back in to pick it up. The group could hear her shouting from inside before she rater quickly came back. "That was the Ghostbusters. They've found something that might stop this."

"Four spirit anchors placed around the city," Dear Lois replied. "Sorry, but time is off the essence."

"I was going to say that and that the Ghostbusters and everyone else is already heading to the places, but they could really use the help."

"It appears we should split up and destroys these anchors in an attempt to stop this Shuma Gorath to pass through completely. What are these locations?"

"I know you don't know any of these places, but they seem to be in Time Square, 550 Central Park West, where picked you guys up. The New Yrok City Public library and the Sedgewick Hotel...huh crazy that they all seem to be in locations tied to the Ghostbusters. So now we got to split up and go help out. I dunno how much help you'll be against the ghosts but I bet you can all smash some trinkets."

The path seemed to be clear, now everyone just had to decide on where they should head next.

After his initial state of panic passed, about the time that Theo got in the way of his bullets, who surprisingly didn't take any damage. It was however only after he calmed himself that he realized why; for a few seconds, his skin had hardered into a substance impervious to bullets. Thanks to someone else who had cast a spell, or at least, that's what he thought happened.

Sighing in relief, he quickly reloaded his glock one more time, and holstered it.

Hearing Hazel mention something about needing a weapon, he thought about it for a moment, contemplating handing over his pistol... As he was a little worried he might actually end up hurting one of his friends with it, but then, giving a young girl a loaded gun probably wasn't a good idea either... R-Right?

"Here. You might need this." He said, managing an awkward smile as he handed Hazel his switchblade.

It was pretty easy to use, kind of like a swiss army knife... If there was just the foldable blade, and well, the blade was bigger anyways. It was a little difficult parting with a trusty weapon just like that, but he figured he could always replace it later, or just ask for it back if all else failed.

Besides, there were more pressing matters at hand.

"If that creature hasn't arrived yet, then we still have time... ... I'm going to destroy the anchor in 550 Central Park West." He said, nodding to himself a little as he thought about it.

It was after all where they had first arrived, and while he wasn't keen on traversing an Apartment Building, he figured if it was to stop Shuma Gorath from entering this world... It was worth it.

He would rather find a way to prevent such a monstrosity from ever entering this world than to face it head on, but of course... He wasn't afraid of fighting it too if he had to. Not that he had anything to fight it with anyways.

Rubbing his left hand lightly, he prepared to head off to the location they had first arrived here at, one hand palming his cell-phone in his bag. It wasn't good for much in a place like this, but it should provide him some light if he ever needed it.​

Monika couldn't help but take a step backward when she noticed the freaky, one eyed, monstrosity that appeared in front of them, while some of the people in the group wanted to fight the the thing, more levelheaded people were able to dissuade them. When she overheard the plan was to head out into New York to find some kind of "Anchor" and destroy them, she couldn't help but become curious on what this city was really like. After all, she had only seen a few select areas. The name Times Square stuck out to her, perhaps she should go there.

"Really, Grell, a hotel? Surely we have more pressing matters right now than to shack up there," Ethan said to her with a suggestive smile, electing to accompany her to the Sedgewick Hotel. With a worn breath, the man went on, pocketing his hands.

"Though I suppose it's an ill time to be jesting... especially in front of the children like that," he said, uneasily gazing back at Jack and Serenity, before focusing his gaze back to Grell, "But even so, I shouldn't let a lady go someplace so dubious by herself, if you'll have me."

Though, if the two of them ended up alone at the hotel...perhaps she could get away with a little bit more.

.....Okay, to be honest, Hazel wanted the gun. She's heard of one, but since where she lived, guns were very much unneeded, and in fact, illegal, Hazel herself never saw one. Much less used one. Still, the weapon she got was no ordinary kitchen knife. Pressing the button to cause the blade to come out, Hazel swung it around a little recklessly, and smiled. It felt good to hold it, and to now hold actual power instead of having nothing but bravado? Hazel went back to being confident, and arrogant.

"Thanks! This looks greattt!"

Although she was busy swinging around her new weapon, Hazel heard what Janine and Kylie were saying, and thought about it. Uh...well...where she lived, there wasn't really a Times Square, nor a numbered street, and she had no idea what a hotel was. When she did her newspaper deliveries, it was always just 'Oh, just put it on the doors of the Black Complex, and then on the police station doors.'. What was this nonsense with numbers? There was one thing that she recognised though: The New York Library. After all, Hazel's own town had a library, and that meant she knew that a library actually was.

Turning around, Hazel put her hand on her hip, and smiled gleefully.
"I'm going to the New York Library to stab this time anchor thing! Anyone want to come with me-us?"

Destinations had been set and the groups were off. The bus was still outside, as was Janine and Kylie's cars after some quick telekinetic snow shoveling from Dear Lois.

Janine grabbed a few and head to the Hotel while Kylie took another while Janine took those that where heading to 550 Central Park West. Dear Lois meanwhile took the ones heading towards Time Square and the Library with her using her powers to fly through the city leaving Hector and a few others at the library before taking the rest to Time Square. It was time to put an end to this.

Central Park West looked even more ominous then how it looked last night when they arrived in the city. There was still heavy snow on the road but they made it through and stopped at the entrance. It was deathly quiet as they stepped out. "Seems like no one's gotten here yet," Janine replied as she looked towards door. "Considering the looming eye in the sky we can't wait." She grabbed her proton pack from her back and pushed the door open so that they could enter.

As they stepped inside the area looked like any other foyer of a large building. Janine's first instinct was to call for the elevator but considering the lights were out as well meant that the power was down in the entire building. "Oh no," she groaned looking to the stairs. "Seems like we're gonna get a bit of exercise."

After their little trip through the sky the library group stood face to face with a large set of stairs in front of them.

It seemed that the area had been barred off but they were on a mission so they couldn't allow that to stop them. As Hector opened the door a large open area welcomed them with lines and lines of books on shelves. "An impressive collection," Hector replied looking around. He conjured up a small fairy that he sent to look through the area. "Considering the scope of the area, I believe my familiar will be of help to find it." For now they could only walk through the library to find something that might send them to the right direction.

The parking area was quiet as Kylie pulled up to the entrance. "One of the Ghostbusters first cases happened here. Remind me to introduce you all to Slimer when this is all over." She readied her protonpack. "I don't know how much help you guys will be in case they're ghosts, but if you see the anchor, smash it. I'll try to do cover for you."

Well inside the place opened up to a lavish reception area. No living or undead that they could see. "If I remember correctly last time they were here the ball room on the 12th floor played a big part in it. So it's a good enough place to start at I suppose."

As Dear Lois landed in the center of Time Square it was utter pandemonium. Further in the open square the group could see the four Ghostbusters trapped in a battle with several ghosts that seemed to be protecting a large green statue swirling with ethereal energy. "Seems like the Ghostbusters need our help. Come, let's go and destroy that anchor and liberate this city."

Okay, maybe Theo had a slightly different motive besides destroying the anchor. The New York Public Library was also home to the original Winnie the Pooh stuff animals, and the one his family had come they had been out for cleaning. " I'm going to look by this table at the entrance," he said, looking for both the Winnie the Pooh Stuffed Animals and any clue where the anchor might be.
