Side Story The Goddess II: Fate of the Old Gods

Mila's claws tore through the flesh of the final Demonic Beast as if it had been made of butter. With a screech, the bloodied and burned creature was tossed across the room. The Goddess watched calmly as its gurgling body rolled across the marble before coming to a sudden stop at the base of a nearby pillar.

The Goddess approached her fallen beast as it groaned its final breath. It lay silent and still. It's lifeless body barely flinched as the rain pounded upon its wounds. The Mother-Queen knelt by its side and gently touched its wound.

"My Blessed Beast..." She sung. "So pure and so simple... return to me..."

The Blessed Beast's eyes peeled open. The creature clambered to its feet as if nothing had happened. It delicately nuzzled its mistress' shoulder, releasing calm, metronome breaths as it rested. The Goddess stroked its cheek and brushed aside the last flicks of clay. She smiled and planted a soft, sweet kiss upon its forehead.

An emerald light burned in the creature's eyes.

"It's okay, precious..." The Mother-Queen coddled as she slowly stepped away from her pet. "The mean dragon won't be hurting you any more... she wound be hurting anybody every again, okay?"

Her eyes met Mila. Her demeanor changed completely.

"Idol of the Harvest!" She boomed. "This transgression shall not be forgiven!"

The Goddess raised her hand towards the heavens. The shattered shards of the fallen Savages, Angels and Dragons began to rise up from beneath the waves. They ravaged the city like a horde of locus flies before pooling above the Goddess. She clicked her fingers. The emerald could grew more orderly. She rose above the waves. She soared above the towers. With a mental command, she guided the shimmering shards to form an colossal, emerald cleaver. The weapon stretched high above the clouds. The weapons tip vanished in the flashing lighting.

"Your age is at an end, Old Gods!!" Her voice crackled like thunder. She released her hold over Atlantiades. "Your twilight has come!" The Goddess swung her sword from one shoulder to the other. Her great blade carved a clean wound through the heart of the tower. The chamber's two great halves slowly started to drift apart. "Your presume to know my heart! You presume to know what I'm looking for!" She laughed. "You're wrong! You cannot begin to comprehend what it is I'm searching for! You cannot begin to comprehend what it is I'm looking for!"

The Goddess swung her blade again. The tower was cut cleanly into quarters. The four parts began to drift further and further apart. The tower was coming apart at the Old God's feet.

"But you won't have to worry for much longer. You won't have to question or ponder..." The Goddess turned her blade over in her hands. She aimed its point down towards the earth. The raised her hands a little and prepared to plunger. "In fact... you won't be doing anything ever again..."

[BOOOM]

The air team rushed the Goddess. A thousand explosions burned the skies around her. She barely flinched. She slowly raised her blade again, her temper slipping.

"GNATS!!!" She screeched. "GNATS!!"

She swung her sword again. She cut a whole in the Old Gods' forces. In the wake of her blade, a white light lingered. With a swing of her great weapon, she had carved a hole in reality. 'Existence' rushed to fill the void she had created.

Behind the Old Gods, the Portal began to hum. It's radiant light grew brighter by the second. A handful of figures emerged from its glow.

Zamasu landed upon the edge of the tower. He joined his hands behind his back and puffed out his chest. As he approached the shimmering gateway, a handful of flying gods rushed to reinforce the tower.

"Reinforcements, at long last."

"Reinforcements?" One of the figures muttered. "Try refugees. We just lost Valhalla."

"Lost?" The Kai snapped. "How did you lose Valhalla?"

"The Goddess. She tore threw our defenses. She folded our realm in two! We're the only ones who escaped."

The Supreme Kai cursed an old, lost curse.

"Then we have nowhere left to run."

"You mean...?"

"The Goddess has defied the laws of nature... the laws of the divine... the laws of reality... She's appeared in two places at once. Valhalla and Atlantis. She's ravaged them both and barely broken a sweat... even now she toys with us..."

"I never thought I'd see the day..." Another figure emerged from the portal. "...that the Great and Powerful Zamasu acknowledged a power greater than himself. You're really going to take this on your back?"

"Trust a Saiyan to suggest we go down in a blaze of Glory."

"Trust a God to complain about a problem instead of solving it. You dragged me into this mess all those years ago, Zamas. You owe me. Take the refugees. Find somewhere to hide. Keep them alive."

"No!" The Kai growled. "I am the Supreme Kai! I shan't throw my life away in the name of some... some wounded mortal dogs! I owe you nothing!"

"If you don't have a choice, Zamasu. I don't like the idea of leaving these lives in your hands any more than you do. If these people die? Valhalla? Atlantis? They die with them. We're out of options. The Goddess' is at War with the Gods. If a couple of mortals slip through the cracks, she won't loose any sleep. Come back when they're safe."

"And what will you being doing, Mortal? What would you being doing whilst a God runs errands for you??"

"Me? I've got a Suicide Mission to complete. I'm sure the Goddess can't wait for our reunion. Killing a Fallen Angel? It'll keep her distracted. It'll buy you all some time. I'll put on such a show the other Goddess will see it in the Norse Realms."

The Scarred Saiyan opened the dam and let his power flow. He edge of his torn gi fluttered over the edge of his torn gi.

"Now stop arguing and go! Get out of here!"

Zamasu bared his teeth and growled as Gohan took to the skies.

"Bastard...." He turned back to face the Old Gods. "You deal with this!" He spat. In a flash of white, he soared in his wake.

A choice remained. Protect the refugees and flee, or die fighting the Goddess?

"All you need is a good lay..." Atlantiades murmured to themselves as they looked at the destruction enveloping them. If the situation wasn't as bad as it was the Goddess of Love would think the Goddess's temper tantrum to be quaint. Like a teenager that thinks they have all the answers. Either way, Atlantiades was not going to stick around and get themselves killed. Love was needed now more than ever the universe needed a bit of love.

Looking over the refugees and bathing them in a calming light Atlantiades did their best to help in the escape.

"Do not speak to me that way hypocrite! You just had your followers slay hundreds to thousands of innocents in the streets! Surely you see the flaw of considering the "pure pet" of yours worth more than mere mortals, or has your mind slipped that much, wretch?" Mila snarled over the rain. This Goddess was beyond crazy, she was insane and almost idiotic. She'd gladly tear apart the Goddess' beast again and again if given then chance.

As Zamasu and the Saiyan argued once the refugees arrived, Mila scowled as she turned her head to the green Kai then. Narrowing her eyes a rumble reverberated deep in her chest.

"If you keep complaining, I may just eat you." She hissed lowly to Zamasu before he left. Stretching out her wings, Mila hesitated for a moment. Should she help buy those who'd help the refugees more time? She'd rather live to help those who remained...and see the Goddess get her dues.

Mila snorted in amusement at Atlantiades' words, before moving to help the Goddess of Love in making sure the refugees escaped.

They may have lost this battle, but the war wasn't over yet. She wouldn't grow bitter from this loss, oh no. She had some fight in her yet, but right now those who still lived needed her now more than ever.

HABIT licked his lips, and in a flash teleported away. He wasn't bothered by the poison or the injuries or the bugs that he teleported away from, they'll pass.

HABIT wasn't assisting in protecting the refugees, he doesn't care about their lives, but he is making an escape. Why? Because he needs more shit to take on The Goddess.

[SHWOOOOOOOOOOM!]

A cacophonous boom ruptured the air. The looming steel shadow of the Emperor's battle barge was bathed in bright light, for every reason but the meteor that was soaring towards it. The massive plating on the ship's fore-end opened up, belching out a tidal wave of munitions across the surface of the inbound meteor. Booming, defeating claps of thunder accompanied the light show as the space rock was torn asunder with one salvo of plasma, it's building-sized remains left to scatter across the surface of Atlantis.

The battle had grown dire. The golden giants that had descended from the metal hulk found themselves overturned and overrun by the Goddess' forces, in spite of their seeming indestructible nature. When the Goddess had called the Old Gods forth to challenge them personally, the vacuum of space left in their wake had done no favors of the Emperor's forces; however, they still chose to persist.

He frowned. Wherever He was, a soft frown unfurled upon His ancient visage. How could He let this happen? In all his ageless wisdom, and the sum of all of Mankind's knowledge and might, the Emperor had never once considered the possibility of worlds beyond his world; or, rather, he never thought those words would threaten His own.

The Warp (and all of its abominable inhabitants) was a blight on reality. This, the Emperor thought, was so far beyond the threat of the Immaterium that it made the Gods of Chaos appear like starved mongrels fighting over the leftovers of mankind's collective psyche. It all began with a vision of a God-Empress conquering all of realspace with an army fashioned from her fervent, blinded servants. Like all visions, it came to the Emperor as a sudden, prophetic dream, just as he had begun to enact the construction of the Golden Throne.

The situation of the galaxy was not entirely as he intended at that point. The legions held peace across the Imperium following the final steps towards ending the Great Crusade. Every one of his sons had played a role in securing this era of peace, shortlived as it may be. The Imperium of Man would see a period of progress and peace so long as the Golden Throne project will see completion on Terra. Once for all, the fate of Mankind would be severed from the Immaterium.

To make this happen, the Emperor must retire to Terra. He placed control of the front lines in the hands of his sons, but for their safety, he could not say why. The Imperial Webway was more than just a way to achieve real, safe faster-than-light travel for the Imperium.

It would be a stepping stone to accessing the Worlds Beyond. Something that most scholars to refer to as 'The Multiverse.'

The Emperor smiled bitterly - he achieved this goal, but in unfortunate circumstances. And now he would be forced to see this plan to the end.

Mila's claws tore through the flesh of the final Demonic Beast as if it had been made of butter. With a screech, the bloodied and burned creature was tossed across the room. [CLAAAAAAAANG!]

As the Goddess swung her blade with the intent to gouge out another section of the tower, a streak of golden light halted her advance. The ground surrounding the Old Gods and the Emerald Empress shuddered - nearly collapsed - beneath the weight of impact as her sword clashed against another blade.

"A fool I was to expect anything more from you," a rumbling, baritone voice shook the foundations of the tower.

The Master of Mankind appeared before the Goddess. The Emperor held his golden sword with one hand, turned downwards, and pushing back against the Goddess despite all the strength she mustered into her sword arm. Psychic flames leaped from the blade, scorching the Mother-Queen's emerald cleaver to little effect. She was no weakling, the Emperor thought.

"In all of my efforts to guide Mankind from the influence of religion, never have I ever encountered a 'God' creature as spiteful and petulant as this. The Gods of Chaos have proven more a thorn in my side than you will ever be, and I would not even be here if not for the fact you've come to muster an army of tainted faith that will wash over the Worlds Beyond in a storm of delusion and falsehood."

The Emperor furrowed his brow, the venom palpable upon his ancient face. "This, I cannot allow. Humanity deserves better."

The Emperor did no more than block the Goddess from cleaving through the tower, placing his clawed gauntlet against his sword and pushing back against her with greater force. The sound of rumbling footsteps heralded the arrival of several Legio Custodes - the golden giants that remained of the Emperor's forces - which silently raised their glaives and guarded the escape of the refugees.

Billy Batson/ Shazam

Billy had never been one to process things fast and it especially didn't help when things happened in such quick succession. The only thing he knew was that he couldn't let the Goddess have the sword. He wasn't the one who could smite her, but he needed to make sure the weapon made it. He knew that there was no pointing in fighting her. Honestly, he could tell from the second she had dociled her beast that this wasn't a fight they could win. He knew.

So he wasn't surprised when she started to break all the rules. But then again, he wasn't sure how stable the world was especially with the loss of the Great Spirits. But he also knew something else. You couldn't keep breaking every rule of the universe forever, the world eventually fights back and he had a feeling that this Goddess, the spoiled child that she was, would learn that to late.
"There's always more battles to be fought in a war. This was just the first. All I know is that we can't let her get this sword.... and we need to get it to some mortals."

The shimmering portal scooped up the remaining Old Gods and tossed them down a spectacular tunnel. Stars flickered and danced beside them as they soared across the multiverse. You could reach out and run your fingers through the warm nebula, the star nurseries. The wonders of the universe stretched out before you. The Fighting seemed so far away. Atlantis was worlds away. For one sweet, peaceful moment, all seemed right in the multiverse.

"Where are we going?" One of the civilians asked, his voice shattering the silence. "We've lost Atlantis, Valhalla... where can we run to?"

"And what if the Goddess is following us? What if she's...?"

"Yes, what if?" The Goddess taunted, her voice echoing down the wormhole. A splitting pain filled Mila's side. An old wound inflicted upon her by the Emerald Savages opened once again. A small, emerald shard forced its way out from between her scales.

The minuscule jewel slipped from her skin and fell backwards down the tunnel. In a flash, the shard increased its size a hundred fold. Another, identical copy of the Goddess began to soar after them, her hands pressed to her side, streamline.

Whilst the speed of the Old Gods remained constant, the Goddess was slowly gaining speed. She was gaining on you.
Getting closer.
Closer.
Closer.

The refugees frantically clawed as the sparkling walls of the portal in a desperate attempt to propel themselves further. Their efforts were in vain. They flailed their arms madly, trying to do something- anything- to improve their grave situation. Death was on their heels. They could practically feel her breath upon their necks.

Whilst a majority of the refugees clawed at the walls, one of them was pounding his fists against them. Every now again, a flickering white crack appeared, only to vanish as swiftly as it appeared.

"We--need--to---get---out!!"

A choice presented itself.
Fall back and repel the Third Copy of the Goddess, or shatter the walls of the portal and be flung out into the wider multiverse.

Hissing at the pain as her wound was opened again, the dragon of harvests turned and with a burst of wind from her wings tried to meet the Emerald Goddess head on and stretched her wings out slightly in an attempt to slow her down and buy the others some time to get away.

"Emerald Thorn, you do not know when to quit, do you? Persistent. Annoying. Delusioned." She snarled, having gotten annoyed with her persistence at this point.

The Age of Gods would end with the Emerald Empire's fall, and if what the Thunder god said was true, they needed to get the sword into the right hands. Mortal hands.

A choice presented itself.
Fall back and repel the Third Copy of the Goddess, or shatter the walls of the portal and be flung out into the wider multiverse.

"No means, no. Bitch." Atlantiades snarled at the Goddess before focusing his attention on the portal. "We'll have to escape and consider the consequences later. I think I speak for everyone when I say we're done listening to her incessant whining!" With a heavy punch, the Goddess of Love slammed their fist into the portal. If it wasn't going to open the old fashion way a little love tap might do the trick.

Atlantiades' fist shattered the 'wall' of the wormhole as if it had been made of glass. In an instant, the Old Gods were sucked from the vortex by an unseen vacuum. Tossed like rag dolls, they were sent spiraling through space. Their flailing bodies parting the star nurseries. They shattered meteorites and severed shooting starts. With every second, they were soaring faster and faster. They obliterated the sound barrier. The stars around them started to melt and fade.

The Old Gods shattered a dimensional barrier. The blackened skies were replaced by thick, yellow clouds. They didn't stop. Burning across the sky at a speed beyond the speed of light, they shattered through towers and trees alike. They carved a dark path across the Otherworld before their momentum finally started to fade. They came to a sudden stop. Smoking and steaming, the Old Gods sat in a pile at the heart of a courtyard.

Their fists clenched in caution, two figures approached Atlantiades.

"Are you...?" One of the figures muttered, maintaining his guard. "Your energies... they stink of Atlantis..."

"She's here!" One of the realm's Watchmen cried. "The Goddess is here!"

Delayed by Mila, the Goddess struck the Earth outside the Arena's walls with a crack, the Dragon's throat resting in her hands. Conjuring an emerald hammer for her hand, the Goddess hammered a great, green nail into Mila's right wing, pinning her to the Earth.

"Another day... another realm..." The Goddess grunted, wiping a speck of dirt from her lip. "You cannot run forever, Old Gods! I will have that sword, even I have ravage the multiverse to get it! You are the deluded ones! Deluded to believe that you could oppose the Absolute!"

Her fury burned hotter with each passing second. Ever step she took shook the city.

"By the Kais..." Pikkon whispered to himself, his eyes wide and white. "I thought we had more time..."
He clenched his teeth.
"No matter. No time like the present. Mobilize!"
He roared, shoot a long, green finger in the direction of the advancing, growing Goddess. The Mad Deity must have been three stories tall by now, dwarfing even Mila.
"The Goddess is here! It's do or die! I want every soul in the Realm on their feet and swarming my position! The Afterlife must not fall!"
A second portal flickered to life behind the stumbling refugees.
Abandoning this new realm would not doubt lead to its fall... but it would protect the sword and save the Refugees.
"Their fates are sealed..." The Sword hummed. It's voice spoke directly into the minds of the Old Gods. "Yours are not. Keep running. Keep moving. Don't stop!"

ATLANTIS
When the Emperor caught the Goddess' cleaver, Son Gohan saw an opportunity present itself. Ceasing it, the scarred Saiyan sprinted across the flat blade towards the stunned Goddess. Exploiting the Goddess' confusion, he planted a swift uppercut upon the Warrior-Empress' chin.

"MISS ME?" He cries, lighting crackling across his Dragon Punch. "IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!"

The Goddess slowly lowered her chin. Her face showed no sign of injury.

"As a matter of fact, I have..."
In a flash, she was upon Gohan. Before he could react, she took his head in her free hand. He could do but futilely scream and claw at her fingers. "I've been waiting for this day... I've spent so many sleepless nights dreaming of it. Oh... the things I'm going to do to you, interloper... False Saint..."

With a cry, she tossed the Saiyan back down towards Poseidon's tower. The force of his fall was enough to shatter it's top few floors. Sooner or later, the tower would no doubt crumble under the force of the waves.

The Goddess could have killed the Saiyan then and there. But no. No. She was toying with the Old Gods. Playing with her food.

Zamasu was the next Idol to rush the Goddess. A shimmering scythe in his right hand and a murderous spark burning in his eye, and swung his blade towards the Goddess' throat. She effortlessly dodged his strike. He tried to follow it up with a frantic kick. The Goddess ignored him and continued her decent. Zamasu's leg passed harmlessly through the Goddess' head.

"Do you truly believe that humanity deserves better, Emperor?"
The Goddess muttered, abandoning her sword in the rubble of the tower. "After all they've done? Before I came, they were but savages and war mongers. What has humanity done to earn your respect, Idol? What have they done that is worthy of mercy?!"

OTHERWORLD---> PORTAL
The Goddess raised her hand towards the heavens. She called forth another wave of emerald shards. They swarmed her hammer. It doubled in size and weight. Pikkon and his allied swarmed the Goddess.

With a single swing of her hammer, she scattered the advancing forces. Another white wave surged forth in the wake of its mighty head. The Goddess followed her strike through until her great mallet was resting upon her shoulder. She writhed her fingers around its long, winding handle and smiled.

As the Old Gods were lost in the portal's glow, the could see the orange skies grow darker. The flowing clouds turned crimson. The Goddess raised her hammer above her head once again. It's weighted head came crashing down. In a single blow, she shattered the heart of Otherworld. An emerald wave consumed everything in sight.

Even as their bodies were propelled forward at a startling speed, they could still see the great wave charging forth, hot on their tails. Even as they surpassed the speed of light, the Emerald Wall-- now blurry and hard to look at--- still lurked in the corners of their eyes.

Shazam's sword began to pulse and glow. It span around in Billy's hand and turned to face the wave. A stream of white light came rocketing forth from its tip.

BOOM

The light crackled across the surface of the Wall. The Emerald Massive began to slow. A moment later, it vanished into the black as the Old Gods soared across the starts.

"It's gone!" One of the Refugees cried. "We're safe!"

The smell of the burning Realm still clung to the Old Gods. One of the survivors shuddered.

"There was.. there was nothing we could have done..."
She whispered to herself. "What could we have done...?"

For a moment or two, the world went silent again. All you could hear was the hum of the portal and the groaning of distant stars. For a moment, the multiverse seemed whole. Calm. Complete. Almost peaceful.

One of the refugees reached out to touch the portal's edge. It danced around her finger like a rushing river. She smiled. It's cool touch was... relaxing. It was the first time she felt safe since--

"Oh Gods...." Another survivor muttered. "Oh Gods... The stars..."

You turn to face the portal's walls.
They were blinking out like old stage lights.
It wasn't gradual. It wasn't natural.
The stars weren't dying of decay. Their lights weren't growing dimmer.
They were being snuffed out like candle flames under wet thumbs.

"It's... impossible!" One of them stammered. "Just... Impossible!"

"I have crushed 3 realms in the last 3 hours..." A familiar voice shook the void. Whilst their companions vanished one by one, two lonely stars continued to burn bright. Their glow grew more vibrant. They adopted an emerald sheen. The Mother-Queen's eyes shattered the black. "I am Impossibility Incarnate!"

Her divine hands caught the walls of the worm whole. She twisted the tunnel as if she were shaping it into a shimmering, speeding balloon animal. The Old Gods were suddenly soaring in a different direction every second. They spiraling madly through an endless, empty expense.

"We will you lead me now, my sweet ones... where will fate lead us..."

The Goddess' laughter rattled down the portal. Her face flickered and flashed across space.

"What will you show me next, oh mighty Idols.."

The portals' crazed path was nauseating to travel down. You were the Goddess' play thing now, weak and helpless. And she was playing rough.

"Something entertaining, I hope! Somewhere exciting! Somewhere worthy of my eye--"

Smarks flew from the edges of the portal. The started of small. They grew brighter by the second. The wormhole was fighting against the Goddess' might. It was slowly gaining ground. The Goddess' laughed suddenly stopped. Her brow grew tense. The tightened her grip.

"How dare you!" The Goddess hissed.

The portal slowly started to straighten up. A small spark danced in the distance. Was it a Sun? The Gateway to another realm? No... it was... a planet?
View attachment 5689
The Goddess jerked the wormhole to one side once again. The tunnel came crashing into a nearby meteorite. A wave of dust and stones washed over you. She yanked it to the other side. It came crashing into another floating ball of stone. The refugees desperately rushed to shield themselves to avoid the debris. The sword once again fought against Shazam's arm. It pointed itself upwards towards the planet. The sparks began to burn brighter. The portal adjusted its trajectory once again. The planet was coming closer by the second.

"How dare you!!" She screeched. For the first time in a long time, the Goddess was being overpowered. With the power of 3 new realms burning inside her... she didn't think it was possible...

The planet grew larger with each passing second. Flames danced across your bodies as you shattered the worlds atmosphere. Your bodies were starting to slow down now. The speed of light felt like a distant memory. Solid ground was coming closer... closer... closer!

With a final cry, the wormhole slipped through the Goddess' fingers. The skies of the nearby planet started to burn. Infuriated, the Goddess faded back into the black. Her eyes remained fixed on the planet below.

With a mighty thud, the Old Gods and the refugees struck the planet's sandy face. Their earth stung their skin. The sun burned their flesh. It was hard to see. Hard to breathe. But they were alive. The Goddess was nowhere to be seen.

Or were they mirages? A trick of the heat?

It was hard to tell. With each step they took, the distant strangers seemed to flicker and fade.

There were no structures to be seen. Only a set of distant mountains marked the lay of the land.
Beyond their immediate party, they were all alone in a strange land.
Only four civilians had survived the journey.
The rest had been lost, abandoned in Otherworld or scattered when Atlantiades shattered the portal.

Mila shook out her hide and turned to try and lick her open wounds before going to check the newcomers, eyes narrowed as she took in their numbers and tried to remember and file away everyone's scents.

"Is anyone seriously hurt?" She asked, keeping her wings pressed tight to her body. Any wounds she had she didn't let them slow her down currently, despite how tired she was now. They still had refugees to try and protect, even if their numbers unfortunately had gotten smaller.

Glancing down at Metodey, she tilted her head as she regarded him with squinted eyes for a moment. Had he always been with their group?

"You, who are you?" She rumbled, and if she had eyebrows in this form, one would be raised.

"Just a humble castaway, dragon!" Metodey choked, plucking at his collar. He threw his other hand before his face and shuffled back across the sand. "I'm a refugee from a lost kingdom, just like the others!" He gestured at the unconscious stowaways. "I mean you no harm! I bid you no I'll will!"

"Is that so, humble castaway?" She purred softly. Taking a moment to think, she tilted her head just a bit more.

"Good then." She hummed, leaving it at that for now as she went to check on the rest of the unconscious castaways. She kept him in her sights though and curled her lip, showing him her teeth as smoke curled from her nostrils.

"If you had any thoughts of hurting my companions or our charges, I'd tear you limb from limb and eat you the moment the opportunity would present itself. So I'm glad you do not wish any harm or ill will to them." She growled lowly, but was genuine in her words, tone becoming cheerful when she expressed how glad she was, her growl tapering off into a small purr once more as she spoke.

Metodey’s eyes darted between Mila and Atlantiades.
“Oh... of course!” He stumbled over his words. “I would never dream of raising arms against you, friends. My survival instinct is... too finely tuned for me to do something so foolish...”

HABIT’s keen ears overheard Metodey’s words, and his lips opened up to flash a smile.

His gaze turned to Metodey, and he sauntered over to his position. His rifle in his hand, pointed away from the group

“My main question for you is how the hell can you get us out of this mess. What can you contribute to us?”

"Of course the rat-man survived." Atlantiades folded their arms staring daggers at the man. "You are suddenly very humble for someone who literally stabbed me in the back not too long ago. Perhaps I will grab you by the throat and drop you from a great height? Rats aren't known as great fliers, after all."
