Revan seemed unperturbed by Billy's demeanor. "I know what you've been through," he said, choosing to toss Billy aside instead of choking him. When Libra's lightning impacted Revan, the energy gathered together and shot upward toward the ceiling. Revan's lightsabers floated next to him to parry Schala's attacks. He seemed to be focused on defense as his gaze wandered to check on the other fighters.

Xehanort popped into existence by Wade, choosing to knock him aside with his weapon before he could reach Chronos. Milla popped out of existence but reappeared the same time Xehanort did, coming up behind him. He turned swiftly, darkness pouring from his weapon, letting it shoot out and explode around Milla and anyone who was approaching him.

The kick to Bane's legs and Majima's blow from behind sent Bane falling forward. The man was about to slam into the ground face-first until-- there was a blink in existence and the man disappeared, as did Revan and Julius. Bane appeared again nearby next to Revan, who was currently locked into place, his lightsabers against Julius' blades. "Keeps... jumping!" Julius grunted.

An explosion of the Force sent him flying backward and Revan turned to look at Lapis. "Girl, you don't want to throw your life away for a meaningless act, do you?"

"We're trying to achieve the same goal, and I want to keep the strain from you as best as possible. There's been too much death already. I don't know you as well as I could, but I want to help with whatever you think is right." Chise spoke softly, she gave Lapis a smile as she tapped into her own magic and used it to release it into Lapis in an attempt to boost her own and give her more magic to work with. She tried not to give her too much at once, however, in case it didn't work as intended.

Hearing Reiner's words made her glance from Reiner to Lapis, concern growing as she did so. Her left hand moved to take place of her right, wondering if she could get her dragon's curse to come into affect along with her magic to ease whatever pain Lapis felt.

Chise bristled at Revan's words, narrowing her eyes at the man. Her hair lashed and whipped behind her a moment as if caught in a strong wind, before calming as if there was a gentle breeze.

"Do you care about other's lives now? You've gathered men and beasts like Lucas and Monokuma under you to do whatever they wished to other people in their idea of fun. If you wish to have the multiverse yet keep people like them under you, you're blinded." She nearly growled, but kept it at bay as she moved to focus on Lapis instead.

Even if Lapis lived and Revan wasn't defeated, it didn't matter as long as Lapis kept breathing.

"Nothing we have done up to this point is meaningless!" Libra cried, continuing to provide aid to Lapis. "If it means stopping you from taking another life...everything we've done and will do carries worth!!" He wasn't interested in a conversation with this monster. He was more interested in doing what was necessary to stop him.

Schala eyed Julius briefly, nodding at him as she understood what he was saying. Revan was manipulating the flow of time again, and her mistake with that shield of hers was not timing her magic better. It wasn't working against Revan before, but maybe, if she concentrated the spell, channeling it through her shield, she could create an opening.

This time though, it wasn't for her, it was for Lapis. Though she didn't know the true scope of that woman's magic, nor the toll it would take, Schala didn't have the time to consider the repercussions.

She had to make sure that effort wasn't in vain, she had to prove them wrong!

Quietly, she made eye contact with both Lapis and Julius, just for a moment, tapping her shield with her sword, then she turned back to Revan, smiling in spite of her apparent disadvantage, continuing to clash against Revan's lightsabers.

"Revan, no matter how meaningless it might be. I'll never give up. That has always been my way." She said.

Closing her eyes, she concentrated again, this time attempting to anticipate Revan's next jump in time. Perhaps this time, channeling her magic through that dreamstone embedded in her elemental shield, she might just be able to open a time gate, even for a moment. Just long enough for Lapis' spell to get through to Revan somehow.

Billy Batson/ Shazam and Wade Wilson/ Deadpool

Even while losing control, Billy knew what was important. He was going to find a way to get Chronos free. Nobody deserved to suffer like that- no man, no person, no beast, no Great Spirit. And even if it was a loop, he wasn't going to give up. Not now or ever. He would use all his strength to get to Chronos, deflecting anything with fire that tried to stop him.

Wade would do a flip to avoid the weapon and keep going towards Chronos. They needed to get rid of his advantage.

Why?

Her vision became blurry, obscured by distant memories.

Is everyone... wishing for the same miracle?

The shock of finding out that she was not dead when she should've been. It fades.

The miracle to keep what we hold dear...

The comfort of spending time with Abel and Gnar. It fades.

... and to prevent the end that threatens to take everything away.

The despair from her futile attempt to prevent the magic god Othinus from affecting the Metaworld. It fades.

Was my second life... as a Witch... a blessing...

The progress felt when following Lambdadelta through the multiverse as a voyager witch. It fades.

... or a curse?

The dread crawling up her back from the lives lost for her own to continue. It fades.

Will this even work? Or will I have done this in vain?

The helplessness drowns her upon failing to use her Miracle magic to take down that airship during the encounter with Dhaos. It fades.

... Unlike Revan, I don't have all the time in the multiverse to contemplate whether or not I'm making the right move here.

The abstract painting of her life flashing before her eyes. It fades. Fades back into reality.

Everyone was counting on each other. Supporting each other. Banding together. All against the very threat that was deathly close to everything as they knew it. Regardless, this was a huge burden being put onto herself, but knowing this, Lapis wasn't in much visible pain as before. Even when the skin on her remaining arm and her neck were starting to crack, thus revealing the radiant blue crystals that made up her body.

A tight tug is felt from her chest. Reiner's words struck her with the harsh reality of the actions she was doing. Once she does this, there's no undo button. No reset. No going back. She knew what the cost of using all of the remaining Miracles bestowed to her as a Witch was going to do to her. But... the stakes were too high. If she didn't do anything worthwhile now, then they were going to pay an even higher price for it.

There was no time. The Witch of Miracles couldn't even vocalize an apology that would repay for the guilt she must be stirring up in Reiner right now. She did say upon the beginning of their collaboration that she would keep him safe under Beatrice's request, but here she was, metaphorically throwing her responsibility as a chaperone for him out the window.

All she could really do... was show him an apologetic smile, as much as doing that now seemed really unfitting. Maybe it's also a blessing in disguise that she was nowhere near any of her allies from the Metaworld, and even Abel himself. There was no telling on how the news being shared to them would even do...

Lapis takes a deep breath. Sadly, there was no time to think this further, especially with the mastermind behind it all having the gall to speak to her after all that he's done.

❝ You... you don't know a damn thing about what I've been through. You don't know what kind of lives we all had, are having, and will have! ❞ Her hand moves from clutching her chest to holding her lance's hilt, two-handing the crystallized weapon. ❝ I've decided long before this that my life was meaningless, even after defying death once, and maybe twice. Regardless... as much as I'm... pretty sure that the original Witch of Miracles just shoved her responsibilities onto me, a girl who didn't know any better, before ultimately kicking the bucket... I started to realize I could at least be a little more than a meaningless life. ❞ The glyph faded away as her crystallized lance was radiantly projecting an extension of itself from her Miracle charges. ❝ No one gets to decide if someone else was useless or not, meaningless or not. Maybe... just maybe, one life not kept an eye on can lead into a tumbling domino effect. ❞ Her grip tightens on her lance, she steps forward once as she raises the crystallized weapon.

O2ku0ZZ.jpg

❝ I'll gladly use what you call "my meaningless life" to grant these Miracles. Granting inspiration for those who gathered here to stop you! This alone... is my one and only wish! From a life that miraculously lived after death! ❞

Syncing up with Schala's efforts to further support her, along with making use of the extra mana from Chise, and the revitalization efforts from Libra, Lapis charged forward with the burst of adrenaline fueling her the strength to carry out this attack. Even as she closed the distance, she knew that waiting until she was close enough wasn't exactly... good enough. Utilizing the magic charged into the lance, she swung at the air in the direction of Revan, sending a wide arc of magical energy his way.

One swing. A loud crack echoed from her left shoulder. Her charge momentarily slowed before she began to pick up the pace again. What even was the Miracle she was thinking of when performing these set of attacks again? It had to be something that had the faint chances of happening normally without her Miracles, something that could happen as long as the chances weren't zero. Even if it were a mere 0.1% of happening... Even if it was giving a brief opening for the others to actually get their attacks in.

So in short... she was going to use all of the Miracles she had left to bank on that chance of gaining the battle advantage against Revan and his lackeys. If only she had more Miracles left over from the situation regarding Othinus... maybe she would've been able to bank on the chance of resolving this entire conflict, but unfortunately she didn't have enough Miracles for that alone...

Three more attacks. She had to be quick before her first attack was disregarded or handled somehow. So if doing three separately wasn't quick enough...

Aware that she wouldn't be able to move after pulling this one off, Lapis leaps back after charging forwards, morphing her crystallized lance to three separate shards. Everything was already prepared the moment she put all of her own magic into these crystals, all that was left to do... was to discharge these crystals. All three of them at once. And that was what she did.

Three highly potent beams erupted from the pointed tips of the separate shards that levitated in front of her. One beam each for their enemies, meaning Revan, Xehanort, and Bane. These beams curved when necessary, as if it were weaving purposely to avoid friendly fire with her other allies.

As those beams erupted and radiated brilliantly, Lapis felt an excruciating rupture coursing throughout her body. Her vision blurred again. She had no idea what happened too clearly after her beams were launched out, but others could see that she was fractured apart to the point that one of her legs instantly crumbled into small shards and soon even smaller shards upon making impact with the ground.

I did it... didn't I?

The light in her eyes started to fade, just like how her memories faded out of view. Out of mind.

I can't tell anymore... I can't see how this fight ends...

The only other thing she could feel besides a numbing pain was a fresh and watery feeling trailing down her cheeks.

I can't even properly say goodbye like this... or see anyone before... well... lights out.

The blurry mess of light and colors began to fade.

I... I wish I lived a little bit of a different life, but this... this is fine. I'm fine. Everyone else will be fine.

The blurs continue to fade.

My life... was... meaningful... after... all...

Everything faded away. The Witch of Miracles, Lapis Lazuli, Rinato Dormi. Her life faded away.

❝ Gah! Can ya not with the goddamn time-space cheating bullshit!? ❞ Majima exclaimed out of frustration, retracting his demonic arm to normal length after realizing that Bane was blinked over to Revan's side. He was thinking about going all out with the demon powers he has on his belt. Maybe that'll leave them for a shock. Besides, this time if he does this and goes out of control, Lapis is around the corner to use her fancy snazzy magic to revert the demon shit from corrupting his humanity.

That is, until he realized what Lapis was up to. He didn't understand a lick of Miracle magic stuff, but whatever she did... it was a harder blow than how Bane punched him in the gut.

❝ La... pis? ❞ The yakuza gasped out in pure shock as the crumbling body of the Witch roughly made a thud to the ground, and that only stirred him to rush over to her side.

❝ C'mon Miracle Witch lady, that was just a super powerful magic attack you can recover from, right?! ❞ He lightly shook her body, but simply putting his hand on her shoulder caused her remaining arm to crumble into crystal shards.

❝ Fuck! Didn't mean to do that! Er... we need big ass heals like... NOW! ❞ He cursed, carefully backing away. He wasn't even sure if this was a good time to just drop the fighting for now, but losing someone this powerful like this right now was NOT a good thing.

The air rippled and cracked with energy as Lapis made her first strike. He looked ready to brace for the assault. There was a shimmering in the air as if reality itself was fighting against itself. Revan let out a grunt as if something was going wrong, only to be impacted by the swing of Lapis' lance. The man flew backward and landed on his feet, but his armor and mask were cracked now, the man heaving as if the attack had done some definite damage. One of his lightsabers landed on the ground next to him, broken.

The man threw his mask off and stared Lapis down with a glare.

The light of Lapis' attack shone brilliantly, lighting up Revan and his allies. The beams cascaded around the room, zeroing in on the enemies. They were about to strike the three men when Revan cried out. "Enough!"

The beams froze into place. The world stood still for just a moment. Cascading lights shone brilliantly, frozen in place like beautiful crystal monuments. Then--

Explosions. The attacks impacted, causing the entire room to shake and rumble. The light was blinding. Soon though, the shaking stopped. The battle ended. The three men could not be seen.

Makoto blinked. "Did we...?"

Julius shook his head. The three men appeared, having escaped destruction. Revan regarded the room, watching as the fire of battle had left them momentarily.

wdfvR6s.png

"Did I not say that her sacrifice would be meaningless?" he asked. The man raised his hands. "Time is on my side... All of time was at our disposal!" The air in the room grew thin, as if something was building up. "An infinite storage of power and strength that has been ours for the taking!"

Revan snapped his fingers and the room stopped. Everyone but Revan's allies were frozen completely in time. Mid-cry, mid-battle, everyone appeared to be a statue. All they had was their last fleeting thoughts.

But nobody could hear it.

She was a statue, after all. Statues don’t talk.

Billy Batson/ Shazam

Moments, there were moments that defined a whole life. Where everything started and ended and for Billy, he couldn't just find one. Because each of his moments, each and every single one of them ended in heartbreak. What defines a soul and a person? Was it their best moments or their worst moments? Billy had lived a lifetime of both and he was only..... fuck, 14. Or was it 19? Did age really matter now? In those years alive, he had been neglected, abandoned and unloved, searching for a woman who didn't love him. Sure, he had found a family, but just as quickly as he gained them, he lost them.

He had a team before they died. He had a life before he had took it. He had all this power.

But at each turn, he would lose it all. No matter how old or how powerful, it seemed that only thing was inevitable.

That his life would be hell.

That he would die.

That he would only be a fleeting memory.

God, he hoped that his family, both the ones he found and the one he gained could save the day.

That was all he could do...… and he hoped that it was enough.

And he had to believe it would be.

Because the only other thing that could be possible is that the world would go on stupid and brutual......

Wade Wilson/ Deadpool

Wade had never been stopped in mid-battle or anything before. He would turn towards the screen. " You know, this looks really shitty. Though, I do have to admit that this freeze frame is kind of cool, kind of cinematic like a scene out of a movie, a really depressing movie. Like Infinity War depressing or is it more Endgame? I'm not sure, I just know a lot more people cried when Iron Man died when I did in my movie and I did it twice. Sorry, tangent, going off on one of those. But hey, I didn't die of-damn- what was that word called again inactivity? Yeah, I think that was it. It's a good thing I can monologue my thoughts aloud, otherwise, this would be weird.... though I guess it already is.... I'll be back. Oh wait, no, that's terminator. I need something better..... uhh… shit.... fuck….. biscuits..."

That was the last words that Wade got to say ….. even if it was only to the space between

It cried over the people Lucas and Monokuma could have been.

It cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried.

That was the last words that Wade got to say ….. even if it was only to the space between
Schala Zeal & Reiner
@Ver @Yun Lee @Capri @Crunch @Takumi @Jeremi @Minerva @Lucky @Gummi Bunnies @Ottonomous Ghost @Sark @Atomic Knight @Others?

Schala saw what Lapis did to herself, focusing as much of her magic as she could on Revan, hoping with all her heart she could somehow prevent him from moving out of the way, prevent him from stopping time.

But alas, a time gate never did open, and Revan moved out of the way.

With that, Lapis' last ditch effort failed, but... Schala, she refused to give up, no matter what.

"No... Her sacrifice won't be in vain! No matter how long it takes me, I... I will finish what we started!" She shouted.

Even as time froze around her, freezing her body along with it, that determined, bittersweet smile of hers remained on her face, even as Revan prepared to finish her off.

To the end, she stood firm in her beliefs, hoping upon hope that she could see them through, one way or another...

...

"Lapis!!!" Reiner shouted.

But it was too late. What was done was done, and with that, he saw yet another person sacrifice themselves in front of his eyes. This time, it wasn't even just for his sake anymore, but the sake of the multiverse.

As Revan was about to freeze time once more, and Reiner felt his life flash before his eyes, he forced back his own tears, gritting his teeth as he stood firm in the face of death too.

"I... Guess I'll be late... Kiyo..." He said quietly.

Slowly, for everyone fighting Revan, it would seem like their consciousness' would cease, at least until time resumed.

That is, it ceased for everyone but Julius Kresnik and Milla Maxwell.

"Your time manipulation comes from Chronos," Julius said, taking a few steps toward Revan. "The Kresnik line was gifted Chronos' power long ago. I'm immune to your tricks. It was to test us, but now..." Julius raised his twin swords into the air.

"It will be used to stop you!"

Julius slammed his weapons into the ground, causing a fluctuation in time that extended around the room. Slowly, everyone came out of their frozen state as their chronological existence returned to normal. Julius glared at Revan and began to charge him.

"This is for Ludger!"

"For Jude!" Milla cried, joining him in his charge.

Revan did not respond with any sort of witty remark. He calmly raised his remaining lightsaber and plunged it into Chronos. The Great Spirit cried out and disappeared. As he did, Julius' armor disappeared and he stumbled off his feet. Everyone again felt as if they could not move. Time was not stopped, however, as only their feet were locked into place and their senses were dulled by Revan's power.

"What little Chronos had is gone now, and so is your power. What I have absorbed from him is still mine, however."

Revan leaped forward and took Milla by surprise. He grabbed her by the throat and held her in the air.

The battle between Xehanort and Kyosuke had been fierce. Two expert swordsmen had clashed against each other, putting all their might into a battle that represented two warring factions. Their battle had taken them outside of the office and into the halls. Xehanort was slumped against the wall at the end of his rope. Kyosuke stood staring at him, breathing heavily and holding his sword tightly.

"It's over, Xehanort," he said. He felt bile in the back of his throat. Kyosuke moved his sword over Xehanort's head.

"Is that what you think?" said the elderly man. He sounded exhausted but unconcerned. "Do you think this is it?"

"No." Kyosuke shook his head. "But we do know you set up explosives like those other Revanchist agents did. Trying to kill Volt, Shadow, and Muzét... we have disposed of your weapons. Your plan failed. Soon, our attack force will end Revan's life."

"Huh." Xehanort smiled, which put Kyosuke ill at ease. "Confident in them, are you? Really, Kyosuke, I expected more of you. So foolish to think the explosives were the real threat."

"... What?"

Revan held Milla, slowly crushing the life out of her. "No," Makoto said, his voice barely above a whisper. "It's not over. We still saved some of the Great Spirits."

"Did you?"
Bane asked.

Holographic displays appeared around the room, showing Knowhere sitting somewhere in space. The scene doubled, showing what appeared to be some kind of space object.

Makoto was not entirely sure what he was looking at. "Commander Shepard said that was... missing. It's a space station..."

"And a weapon," Revan said.

The apparent weapon began to build energy at its tip. Blue light shimmered and exploded outward. A laser was shooting out across space.

"You've lost, Munakata," Xehanort said. The man began to laugh. Feeling a complete rage, Kyosuke yelled in anger as he plunged his sword through Xehanort's chest, killing him.

As the elderly man's body began to fade away, Kyosuke made a run for the prison cells. Once he got there, breathing raggedly, he saw that Jade Curtiss was gone from his cell. Doopliss was still there, staring at him and clutching the bars of his cell. "Where is he?!" Kyosuke demanded of the duplicitous ghost.

"I-I don't know!" said Doopliss. Kyosuke looked about to plunge his sword through this creature as well when Leia's voice came over his communicator.

"Kyosuke, something is seriously wrong!" she cried.

"What's happening?" Kyosuke replied, spinning around to look around rapidly. He felt like he was going out of control.

"Something's coming right at us! It just appeared out of nowhere!"

"What? How far is it?"

"I--" Leia's voice was strained. From what Kyosuke could hear, the girl was too shocked to even speak. "We're about to be hit."

Kyosuke's eyes went wide. "Leia, are you--"

Kyosuke's vision went completely white. A horrible cacophony of noise blew out his eardrums instantly. All the man could feel was horrid, searing pain. It was over in seconds.

Makoto could only hear static through his communicator. Everyone watched as the laser blasted through Knowhere, destroying the entire space station instantly. All that could be seen was destruction and space debris as the holographic images were closed.

It was then that Revan dropped Milla to the ground. She was dead. Alvin cried out wordlessly, slumping against the ground.

"All of the Great Spirits have been eliminated," Revan said. "We have the power of Chronos and no counterbalances now exist to stop me from using the full extent of that power. Do you see now?"

Makoto shivered, falling to his knees. He hugged himself, eyes wide. His whole body trembled. "N-No... No... No, please..."

"I wanted you all to see the truth. I wanted you all to know that the multiverse could not possibly be in more capable hands than I. Whatever I decide for you in our new reality, know that it will be for the best. I will always remember your final words."

Revan snapped his fingers. Unlike before, time did not just stop, it completely disappeared. Everyone and everything disappeared. Reality ceased to exist.

It was gone. It was all gone. All that was left was the void. Cold, empty, lifeless.

Nothing.
