The Rapidash immediately moves to dodge the dark pulse but was immediately met with a barrage of Shadowballs afterwards. The pokemon began to dodge the attacks, but it notices something it didn't before. Most of the shadowballs didn't make an impact when it hits the ground. They were illusions created by the mightyena, its pack as well in fact. However in that moment of clarity, the real shadowball strikes the Rapidash Stallion in the side, causing it to get knocked to the ground. The Rapidash took some damage, but it wasn't out for the count. The pokemon stands back up almost immediately and began working out how to deal with this intruder.

The Ponyta doesn't really trust the trainer as it came closer to it, and throws off some Embers from its mane attempting to attack the trainer.

Melissa cursed. The stallion of the herd was no fool, and this could not possibly end well. She had her skills she could add. She'd have to try to calm the stallion herself. She ran toward the fighting pair, and when she was close enough, she called to the stallion, "Wait, please! We just want to help the foal and make sure it's alright! We noticed it was having trouble keeping up, and want to make sure it's OK. Please." She stopped and stretched out a hand in supplication. She knew most Pokemon understood human speech to some degree, even if they didn't understand it as perfectly as they understood other Pokemon.

“What are you doing? That thing’s angry! It’s not going to listen!” He calls out to her, just barely managing to ge tour of the way of the Ponyta’s embers. He wouldn’t lie, he wanted the Pokémon, but first and foremost he wanted to know if anything was wrong with it. Pointing a potion towards the foal, he manages to spray the Pokémon with the healing liquid, trying to see if it was simply weak or there was more to it.

Jason charged up another shadowball, the orb of darkness emerging from the tall grass near the Rapidash alongside seven others, one of which phases through Melissa. The Mightyena was given a task by his trainer, and he trusted him enough to do it by himself. He wouldn’t disappoint Jacob.

Melissa didn't know. All she knew was that if she could get the stallion to listen, they wouldn't need to hurt it. And it was what she was good at. She had been a key member of Team Rocket due to her ability to convince Pokemon to do what she wanted. But then again, they hadn't been angry wild Pokemon. "Just hurry up with that Ponyta. We don't want to hurt these guys." Then she turned her soothing voice back on as she continued to tell the stallion that they were only here to help, not to harm.

The Stallion wasn't listening, but if it was it didn't really care as it snapped at the female training, biting down right in front of her to spook her. The Mightyena fires off another shadowball which scores another direct hit on the stallion. The Pokemon gets knocked down again, but this time it had a harder time getting back up. The Pokemon was slowly getting weaker, but showed a lot of endurance after taking two shadowballs. The lets out a loud neigh, calling to the rest of its herd and the lead Female charges forward at the Mightyena with a Fire Spin attack. The fire swirled around the copies, missing the Mightyena but it served the purpose of 'culling the herd' so to speak as 5 of the 8 images were struck and had no effect.

The Ponyta stumbles and but this time gets back on its feet a lot quicker then when the trainers saw it as it tries to get away. The pokemon calls out to its mother who was still infatuated by the Mightyena at the time, but the cries of its baby snapped the Rapidash mother out of its infatuated state and it rushes to its baby's side, running up to the trainer and rears up for a Stomp attack on what it assumed was an attacker.

Jason sends another burst of heart shaped energy towards the lead female, trying to use Attract in order to keep her away from him as he dealt with the stallion. Slinking back into the tall grass, Jason and his remaining copies let out a Dark Pulse, the wave of shadow emanating from their position as it mingles with and overwhelms the flames of the fire spin, hurtling towards the stallion.

“Woah!” Jacob calls out as he dives out of the way of the stomp, earth breaking beneath the force as he rolls onto the ground. Pulling out a Park ball, he rears it back. “I was trying to help your foal. You try that again and i’m putting you in the ball.” He tries to explain, fully expecting the rapidash not to listen as he subtly plucks Anna’s pokeball from his belt.

Melissa ducked out of the way, backstepping out of the reach of the stallion. This was not good. And now Jacob was in trouble as well. "Pikachu, calm the mother." Pikachu nodded and began speaking to the mother Rapidash. Melissa turned her attention back to the stallion. He was badly hurt now, but that didn't seem to matter to him. If she could just get this to stop, to get the herd to listen. They didn't want to hurt anyone, they just wanted to help. And it was going so horribly wrong.

The Stallion prepares for another attack at the Mightyena, but it stops when it hears something off in the distance that the other Pokemon pick up as well. The sound of large wings on the wind. The Stallion lets out a loud call to the herd and the remaining female tries to lead the foals away from the area when a flock of 8 Staraptors emerge from the sky and all dive down towards the Stallion. The Flock flies down with great speed before immediately slowing down to a stop, creating a large gust of wind that slashed at the Stallion Rapidash like razors.

The Attract hits the mother, but this time it didn't have much of an effect as the pokemon's motherly instinct was strong as it also began to encourage its child to move towards the other foals, which it does with less trouble then it was having then before.

“Staraptors!” Jacob shouts, turning towards Melissa and Jason. “Jason, Dark Pulse! As wide as you can make it! Melissa, they’re all together! Unless that pikachu’s just for show, blast them!” He orders, pointing at the gathered birds wan he quickly follows after the foal. Catching up, he continues to spray the potion on the Pokémon in the hopes that it will be able to move faster to safety.

At his command Jason reacts immediately, a circulars pulse of shadow hurtling through the air to impact with the flock of staraptors. Quietly the Mightyena wondered where its partner was in all the confusion.

Melissa rolled her eyes. He wasn't kidding when he'd said he wasn't much of a team player. She'd been part of a team. But he had a point. "Pikachu, use thundershock!"
"Pika!" Pikachu leapt into the sky, away from the herd, and uses the move she was told to on the Staraptor, doing her best to keep it away from the herd.

The thundershock and the dark pulse hits their mark, and strikes two of the flying pokemon, only for them to immediately disappear, leaving only six left. The Starraptor(s) didn't really care much as it focused on the Stallion. It flew at speeds faster then the eye can see, causing all the illusions to disappear. The Rapidash looks around to find the Starraptor but was struck on the back of the head by the Flying pokemon. The repeated attacks were slowly chipping away at is health as it tries to stay up as the Aerial Ace seemed to do more damage then the Shadow Balls. The Lead Female quickly runs up to the Stallion and tries to keep him from falling over.

The Potion didn't seem to do anything on the Ponyta, but the trainer didn't have much time to fully see the results as the Rapidash kicks trying to keep the trainer away from its young.

Melissa bit back a curse. Pikachu landed on the ground and came running over to her. Together, they got in between the Staraptor and the stallion. "Pikachu, you know what to do." Pikachu nodded to her and attacked the Staraptor that was attacking the herd. Melissa quickly knelt, fished into her bag for a potion, and drew it out. She had to help the herd get out of here. Once they were gone, there was nothing that could be done to help them, but this was in a way their fault. So she had to help.

“Guh!” Jacob spits out as the hoof impacts his chest, sending him flying backwards. Instantly a howl could be heard from Jason’s direction as a shadowball comes hurtling out of the bushes and towards the rapidash, the dark Pokémon following suit as he pounces upon the back of the flame horse Pokémon, another shadowball beginning to form between his maw.

Melissa bit back another curse. "Well, this is going so very well. Please," She looked at the stallion. "Let me help you." Pikachu was still fending off the Staraptor.

The Mightyena prepared to fire off its Shadowball but it was suddenly stopped, as if its jaws here being held shut by an unseen force. The Starraptor turned around for another attack pass but it spots something in the grass and instead flew towards it.

"What is are these interlopers who interrupts thy mission? Thou interferes with thy task of great import. Explain thyselves!" Said a male voice before a man wearing what looks to be armor and clothing that was taken straight from the medieval ages. The Starraptor lands next to the man and just above him is a Duskull waving its arms at the Mightyena. "Thou speak to a noble member of the Order Signet."

Melissa looked up, turning around. What was this person wearing? "I'm sorry, and you are?" She reached for her Pokeball. Her Gardevoir would be helpful, though it would be even more helpful to have her entire team.

"Thy identity is of no import to peasants such as yourselves. Thou must only know that thou interferes with thy task. If thou do not leave immediately then thy shall be forced to take action!" He threatens and holds up a third pokeball.

The mother Rapidash throws off the Mightyena and looks forward to see that it's foal was near the Rapidash that was taking care of the group of Foals, which put its mind at some relief until it saw some rustling in the tall grass before several spherical objects flew out of the grass at the herd's young. The Mother quickly used Agility to bolt into the group and headbutts one of the spherical objects that was heading towards its young. The object opens up and sucks up the mother like a pokeball would before landing on the ground showing that it is made out of some sort purple crystal, unlike any pokeballs known in the world. The other foals and their caretaker suffered the mother's fate as they were also hit and sucked up into the strange pokeballs. The only one that wasn't captured was the Shiny Foal as it nuzzled the ball trying to get its mother out.

From the grass out comes a women, wearing the same outfit as the man. "Foolish Pokemon. Thou were too occupied trying to escape what was in the air, thou did not notice the threats on the ground. Still, three days of tracking made thou a worthy capture." She said, picking up one of the balls. She hears the Ponyta letting out small crys for its mother and looks at the fire pokemon. "Oh? It seems thy had missed one. No matter, thy have many Arcane Balls to spare." She said and takes out another purple pokeball.

Melissa didn't know who this person was, but what they were doing was wrong. She stepped up, between the foal and the stranger.

Jacob throws his hands up in the air at the arrival of others. “Great! More people to deal with.” He says exhasperatedly, jus the in time to watch these interlopers seemingly capture the majority of the herd with ease. “Hey! What do you think you’re doing?!” He shouts, absentmindedly spraying Jason with the remains of his potion, the Mightyena standing straighter.

Standing up, he storms over towards the woman. “You can’t just capture an entire herd! Do you know how that could impact the environment of this place?” He berates as he clicks the button on Anna’s pokeball, releasing the Tsareena into the world. Quickly gathering the general idea of the situation, the imperious grad spokenon focuses a look upon the woman whilst wisps of darkness began to trail from Jason’s bared teeth, the Mightyena looking towards the duskull.

"Jacob. Go find a Park Ranger. Whoever this is, they're trouble. And we can't stop them by ourselves. Plus we need to find a way to release this herd. I'll keep him occupied." Melissa was calm and collected. She tossed the Pokeball containing the Gardevoir, declaring her intention to fight.
