He used to be one of the World Governments leading advisers for a short while, until they decided that he was too powerful for his own good. With the help of his Incantar Stone and Runic Gloves, Merl has the power to create giants from boulders, bring suits of armor to life and even animate the dead. He usually spends his time animating mops and buckets of water to do his chores.
