". . .You've met Giorno? He mentioned that he got roped into one of these 'incidents' himself, similar to how we were roped into Gotham. Hmph. . .I guess nothing is easy these days." Jotaro mused with a heavy sigh, digging one hand into his pocket and adjusting his cap with the other. "You can call me whatever you want, I don't care." he replied bluntly to Ben's question. It was clear as day that the older Joestar was on edge about the entire mission ahead of them.

Still, as he is Jotaro Kujo, it didn't scratch his eternally stony expression.

When Mason walked over and introduced himself, Jotaro replied with a silent nod, at least until he and Ben suddenly began prodding him for information on Stands. "Good grief. . .don't go asking for information thinking you'll get it so easily," Jotaro crossed his arms and scolded the two. With how quickly and dangerously Stand abilities have developed since Egypt, the subject matter itself feels like a danger to talk about so casually. However, Jotaro figured a conversation like this was at least more productive and less annoying than useless small-talk with Ben.

"Hm. . .considering it's DIO we're dealing with, I suppose it's worth knowing," Jotaro resolved, standing tall and looking towards Mason and Ben.

"To put it simply, a Stand is an entity of pure energy bound to and physically generated by a master, generally referred to as a Stand User. They can be considered physical manifestations of the User's 'fighting spirit', so to speak. A Stand generally appears as a figure hovering near the user, possessing abilities far beyond that of an ordinary human, which can range from having superhuman physical characteristics, to bending the very laws of time and space."

"Knowing what an enemy Stand User is capable of is half the battle. DIO is going to throw every assassin he has at us, and they're all either Stand Users or. . .something worse."

"Be prepared."

"Now, excuse me. I have to go talk to Giorno." Jotaro curtly finished his explanation, moving past Mason and Ben and exiting the mess hall, carrying the cold atmosphere out with him.

"Well, Mason seems to know a lot of people here. I don't really have anybody. I could use a friend, and we at least have something in common. My name is Macy. Might I have your name?"

While they were talking, Macy's eyes periodically darted away from Cordelia and towards the buffet. She reached a gloved hand out tentatively towards the platter of fruit, yet drew away instead of taking anything. Her body didn't need food to survive, yet it could still process it and convert it into a small amount of energy. However, she also felt that she shouldn't take food from a buffet meant for people.

"My bad, I guess we all have powers we'd prefer to keep a secret, friend or foe." Ben holds his Omnitrix up for a while.

"I'll be prepared, Jotaro," Ben briefly switches back to his stern expression briefly while Jotaro left. DIO was not a joke, it seems. Last time he was pretty easy to kill. It didn't seem to be the case this time.

"The last time I met DIO, he possessed the Stand known as 「The World」. It possessed the power over time, at a limit, able to stop it for a few seconds to move in frozen motion. If the DIO I met then is supposed to be weak compared to the one we're facing, worthy enough to be called a big threat, then he must have recieved some pretty nifty upgrades to his Stand."

Ben switches back to a tone more chipper as he turns to Rita. "Hey Rita, I'm Ben, Ben Tennyson. So, pretty pressuring mission we're having, huh?"

Rita soon left for the Armory.

As Phil entered the Armory, any sort of weapon he could imagine would be available to him, any sort of short-ranged or long-ranged weapon, boosted by magic or science in some capacity, whatever he could imagine. He was free to pick some weapons and go, or stick around and indulge in conversation while he was here.

"Logically, it must be because they don't know where this place is. Still, according to Commander Kirigiri, the Revanchist is at least in some part aware of Ollerus's and company's activities, so they could be preparing to spring our ambush, but we won't know until then," Doppo said to Libra.

"I was thinking we should check in with Kyoko, considering she's the leader around here and all..." Billy was rather intentionally avoiding directly speaking with his mother at this point, who he totally saw in the meeting room earlier despite her best attempts at trying to stay unnoticed. Markus and Simon may want to see her, but for now, Billy wasn't sure if he was ready.

Regardless, Billy led his friends back to the meeting room and made a beeline for the small crowd gathering around Kyoko Kirigiri.

GwnE91n.png

"Hey!"
he said, actually feeling a bit warm at seeing the Coalition leader. He had, after all, helped save her from that dark world, as well as joined her during that awful incident. "Have you met Markus and Simon?" he asked. The question felt dumb as soon as he asked it because of course, she hadn't, but perhaps it would be best they got acquainted now.

Makoto hadn't quite expected the bravado, so his earlier excitement waned a little as he tried to puzzle this girl out. While he had just spoken highly of people around her age being capable of a lot, a part of Makoto felt rather unsure about putting so much responsibility on kids like Severa. His mind wandered to Jennifer, Arya, and even Ruby, three young girls who Makoto had let down immensely. He felt personally responsible for the pain each had experienced, whether or not that was accurate.

yMe7liW.png

"Mm... Well." Makoto tried to not let his mood drop completely, or else Severa might think it was her fault. "I'm sure you're right! It's good to have such a strong belief in yourself. Though... who is your mother?"

It seemed that before Captain Falcon would state what he wanted from her, Kyoko was later approached by a familiar face, eliciting a warmer expression from her (as warm as she could normally be, at the very least). Billy Kaplan. It had been quite a while since they'd met... or not long enough, perhaps? Of course, even if just seeing him reminded her of the awkward friction between herself and Wanda as well, it was still good to see the young man again.

"Hello, Billy. I would have liked to meet under better circumstances, but at least it seems like you're doing well right now," she greeted him. When he brought up the two next to him, Kyoko shook her head, before directing her gaze to Markus and Simon. "I have not. I suppose you two are friends with Billy then?"

"Eh? Her name's Cordelia. She was the greatest Pegasus Knight Ylisse ever had! Everything she did, it was always perfect." Unlike everything Severa did, which was always horse dung. The Commander didn't need to know that, though. "She died once the stupid fell dragon Grima showed up and ruined everything. I was gonna go back in time to help stop him like the others but..."

But then I screwed up, got stranded in a hick town, and had to join up here to get out of it!

"...but then I wound up joining up here after getting...misplaced in time. Time travel is too complicated, you know? One wrong move, and you're WAY off course! I hope I never have to do it again!"

The captain himself gave pause, and for a moment, appeared as tempered as Commander Kirigiri herself. Folding his arms over his brawny chest, Captain Falcon sternly gaze in concentration at the eternal cosmos. His scarf, yellow-hued and a reminder of days forever gone, fluttered and swayed to the artificial winds created by distant plasma engines and proton accelerators.

"I have come for your help, and you, mine. We bounty hunters don't work free -- I am sure you know that. While ODMA, being my employer, has me covered in that regard...there is something I want from you, Captain Kirigiri." Captain Falcon declared, swinging his right arm like a mace with his gloved index finger extending outwards. The air itself shuddering at the man's motions, as if both speed and strength united into this pinnacle of human capability, the captain grinned wildly -- eccentric and a daredevil, yet, someone who seemed to have honest intentions but high demands.

"When this mission is over and done, I request your help." Captain Falcon spoke, his energy fading as his tone quickly shifted into seriousness. "Black Shadow and Deathborn, two infamous space pirates and pilots, run rampant in my world. For years I've trained to beat them in the F-Zero race, but when the Rift opened, they escaped. I don't know where they could of possibly went, but I worry they will soon be a concern to you if left unchecked."

Captain Falcon spoke, staring directly at Captain Kirigiri, a radiant glimmer shimmering from his ebony visor.

"But I think with the resources the Coalition has, maybe you can find them. I don't need the help -- I'll beat them and bring them to justice myself. When I return with everyone else and we have brought hope against all all that makes worlds cruel and malevolent, promise me that. Promise me that, Captain Kirigiri."

Upon the arrival of the rest of the group, Captain Falcon shifted to a light smile, letting his demeanor speak louder than any of his words -- the headstrong champion. They would be fine. They would triumph. He could feel the victory now.

"Greetings, the name is Captain Falcon."

The two women had slapped on a decent portion of food on their plates and sat down to eat. "Whoa, this isn't half bad! You'd think some military base would have ass food!" Ermes exclaimed as she chowed down.

"You really can't be mad or avoid him for our entire time here you know?"

Jolyne just scoffed at her friend when she took another bite from her food. "Just watch me. I'm not here for a Hallmark moment. I'm here to clean up these peoples mess and then go back home to finish our business."

"Your situation certainly sounds quite... difficult," Kyoko initially only said to the good captain, as though needing a moment to take in what he needed of her, "Indeed, bringing them to justice would be something out of our jurisdiction normally, given the directive we abide by, but if you truly believe that these pirates could pose a threat to other worlds -- wherever they might be -- then I'll... consider looking into it when this incident is over and done with."

She initially opted to not use the same romanticized language that Captain Falcon did, but figuring that that would elicit the best reaction from him, she figured she would have to.

"It's a promise."

As Ollerus was approached by Willard, the blonde man shook his head. "If only it were that simple, hmm? But no, that would not be to our benefit. It cannot be conventionally destroyed, at least when they're separated like this; only when they are gathered together, and even then, the only one who would be able to destroy it would be someone who could dispel the magic emanating from it," he explained, before gesturing toward Touma, "And that is why the boy is here. His power, the Imagine Breaker, is the only power that can do it. I guarantee you, no other attempt of magic negation will be effective."

❝ How bothersome. Whatever, we can make that work for when the time comes. ❞ Willard let out an exasperated sigh upon hearing the answer that he expected to hear anyways. So their conceptual attacks wouldn't be of any use, but apparently Touma had the key of removing the problem. At least that was better than nothing.

❝ UNDERSTOOD. I can gauge that for this to be possible, protecting this boy is crucial to this OPERATION. ❞ ❝ ... what she said. ❞ Almost like her mind was set on this task, Dlanor made it pretty clear that she was serious about protecting Touma. All while Willard seconded that statement with a tired voice.

Even if Chise didn't use it, or knew how to, it at least seemed to have some magical capabilities, so it hopefully wouldn't hurt her to carry it for a bit.

"HUAAH YES! Is it Captain or Commander Kirigiri? What do you prefer?"

Abruptly, in the middle of whatever conversations were present, an eccentric, muscled blue-clad F-Zero pilot could be seen entering into the main lobby where a debriefing was issue. Ironically, the pilot himself was late to such a meeting, having been caught with a run-in with Zardock Raiders along the way. With flames encircling around his gauntlet hands briefly, the Falcon himself posed briefly for a moment before shooting up a confident, cocky grin.

"Captain Falcon, bounty hunter for ODMA, the finest pilot you'll see in every and any universe! I'm ready for any challenge, right here, right now!" the captain declared with a salute, calming down a bit to dust off his navy jumpsuit. "And from what I understand, you are the leader of the Coalition, correct? Or, rather, one of them." the man spoke, his voice carrying a sense of energy and arrogance. An arrogance that, given his stature and first impressions, was certainly justified.

@Ver @CrunchyCHEEZIT @Hida Tomonatsu @Central Lobby Chitchat @Anybody
The salute was returned with a two finger acknowledgement by Gaius, a smirk coming to his lips as the most flamboyant member of the organization popped in. Despite how the man might annoy other people, the thief couldn't help but get a kick out of his antics, and another partner from ODMA was always welcomed in his book. Especially when it seemed like everyone was getting rushed here at the last minute, no one fully up to date on matters besides possibly Kirigiri herself.

"Evening, Peacock."

And before he could strike up a real conversation, Falcon was already having a serious talk with the commander about personal matter. A sigh escaped the rogue as this occurred; should have seen that coming given the bounty hunter was usually business first. Oh well, nothing to do but roll with the situation of getting to work given how serious this situation was. Pulling another sucker out of his pocket and popping it into his mouth after unwrapping it, enjoying the lemon flavor for a brief moment, he shot the entire trio of Kirigiri, Giovanni, and Falcon a nod of respect as he began to turn to head off.

"Anyways, thanks for understanding my worry, Chief. I'll be heading to the Armory if you need me."

Prologue - Russia

Hmm, Multiversal threats, danger? Enemies? Russia had expected such serious situations, after all, he was in his fair share of dangers, and he knew, any problem can be resolved by his magic stick of pain! (AKA, a metal pipe).

Just smash it over their head, hide the body, and done! It was the best solution for just about everything. Russia smiled, he was excited for what was coming, he wanted to make some friends, and there were plenty of people here. And if he didn’t make make friends, at least he’ll be rid of some enemies. Even without everyone setting out to
————————
“Eh, It’s a bit crowded, but one more won’t matter! I’m certain!”
It seems, out of nowhere, a man appeared behind Doppo, a big hurking man with a strong Russian accent. It was kinda surprising no one noticed him earlier, but this guy had his secrets.

Russia, (by his twisted logic) had realised he was lacking some weapons, because even a magic stick wouldn’t be enough! In his hands, he was holding a large submachine gun, a AK-74, and worse, he was swinging it around as it was nothing. Despite his rather intense weapon of choice, Russia had a childish face, which completely contridicted his ominous and unsettling ‘feel’.

“Приве́т! It seem I have not introduced myself today. I’m Ivan Braginsky, and I hope we can all be friends! Well..you’ll be working with me no matter what, so don’t cause any trouble for me, otherwise, I’ll have to make you behave though some uh, ‘creative’ ways. I really don’t want to do that, I don’t want any blood on my uniform, I just cleaned it.”

Even with his childish, pretty high pitched voice, it was clear what ‘creative’ meant. Something something torture. Russia didn’t want to cause any trouble or harm his friends, espically when they first met. Unfortunately, he doesn’t realise some of his horrific actions are cruel, and even now, he still doesn’t. Being a ‘friend’ of Russia was treading on thin ice!

I mean, I couldn't really get Tommy or Teddy to come, though I really don't blame them. We're all kind of... dealing..." He was not really sure where he was going with that comment, so he just sort of awkwardly trailed off, averting his gaze away from Kyoko. He looked then to

Makoto tapped his chin in thought upon what Severa said. It sounded a little odd, as time travel was not a concept Makoto was very familiar with. Truthfully, it was not something he ever wanted to deal with, not just because of the potential complications, but also due to the fact that it felt somehow wrong to mess with the natural progression of time.

"You know, the name Cordelia does sound a bit familiar," Makoto said. "I don't remember exactly why." The thief cocked a brow as the guy he hadn't really spoken to waved to him, returning the favor politely before noticing what caught his eye about him. Having spent years wandering the lands, Gaius knew the look in that man's eyes from seeing it in the eyes of children; a desire to have some candy to cheer themselves up. Pausing a moment as he thought with a hum, it occurred to him that it probably wouldn't hurt to share to be build some confidence... as long as he kept a good supply for his own needs.

Ruth returned to Chise's side after a moment, handing her a blade that gave off a rather pleasnt feeling to the faerie. It was a dagger of sorts it seemed. Even if Chise didn't use it, or knew how to, it at least seemed to have some magical capabilities, so it hopefully wouldn't hurt her to carry it for a bit.

"We're members of the MEU, so I guess?" Ruth spoke up. He didn't look to deep into the connections of the two once one of it's memebers had talked to Chise. He was, at first, a bit skeptical but eventually came around.

"Lindel... where have I heard that name before? Doesn't sound like a very common name," Grandpa Max adds. "Looks like this place is getting a bit crowded, but I guess I can stay a bit longer before I pass some equipment to Ben. It'd be nice to know some new faces before we get together for the mission."

Turning to Russia, he introduces, "I'm Magister Maxwell Tennyson. Just Magister Tennyson or Max will do. Good to meet you, Ivan."

Jiren leaned against the wall of the meeting hall, letting the air cycle through his lungs. He had been working with ODMA for so long, he had almost forgotten what simplicity felt like. For the first time in years, he had a specific target. No longer would he have to scream of justice into the void, or try to push for progress in the face of some endless war. Perhaps it would be like the old days. Though there had never been ‘good days', and he could never have seen it at the time, the years he had spent with the Pride Warriors felt somehow... Homely. In spite of all the struggles and hardships, and in the face of impossible odds, having someone to guard his flank always filled him with a sense of warmth and purpose. Not that he had ever needed protection – not since he was a boy- the Team seemed willing to die for him anyway. Maybe he had been wrong about it all. Maybe he should have stayed in his own world and tried to find a place there. He vanquished such thoughts with the bow of his head. No. Those days were gone. Every moment he spent thinking of yesterday was a moment wasted. There were more important issues at hand.
Gods.
Toppo wished for a time when. He didn’t have to think about such beings. It was strange to think that a few decades ago he would have scoffed at the idea of a higher power. The forces of nature would never bend to save men. There was only him. There were only the Pride Warriors. That was the first lessons Jiren had taught him. It would prove to be the first of many. When the oppressed and downtrodden looked up to the stars, the Pride Warriors would be there. The would be the force of nature they begged for, ready to break the chains of fear in a series of swift strikes. Liberty. Freedom. Justice. This was the creed be had once believed in. The creed that had given him the power the lead his family through the darkest nights and bring them together in the brightest days... The days before the Gods. The days before their corruption, their interference and sin were some of the sweetest he could remember. But memories were all they were. He could have smiled at the thought of the simpler times, but he lacked the will. He had a job to do. The both did. They had Gods to kills.
And if there was one thing the world needed less of, it was Gods.
Toppo caught the eye of his old friend from across the meeting hall, only for his gaze to be dodged by Jiren. He had recognised him- there was no denying that- but it was as of he couldn’t bring himself to look him in the face. Lost in the blackness of Jiren's eyes, Toppo was filled with one dark thought forced its way into the centre of his mind; the idea that connection they had once shared was now long gone. Jiren was a changed man, reborn in the fires of his last great battle. The heat of passion and fury that had once burned so brightly within him had been replaced with an unnerving stillness. He had abandoned the traditional red jumpsuit he and Toppo had once shared, and was now clad in the threads of his new allegiance: a grey cloak branded with the crest of the OMDA.

“I see you're sporting the team's colours, Jiren”

He masked his worry beneath his flowing moustache, the ends teased between his fingers

“Its... Been a long time”

“Not long enough. What brings you here?”

Jiren snapped, his gaze fixed firmly on the floors of the meeting room, his stare not breaking. Toppo was taken back by the frost reception, but by no means was he surprised. He had let his friend down one too many times to still call him brother... At least out loud. He felt a stone move deep within him, tipping the ball from his playing field. In spite of his growing strength, he felt increasingly powerless with every passing moment, as if Jiren's stoic soul was draining his spirits dry.

“Every since you left after the Tournament... I've been searching... I’ve seen the multiverse, from Earth to Ash. I had experiences valuable to the OMDA. They offered me a place with them. And when they told me you had been fighting with them for years I—”

“Should have said no. You shouldn’t have left Universe 11”

“I couldn’t stay there, Jiren. You know that...”

He released a breath of built up burden

“After... What happened...if I had stayed...”

“--Then you would have had to accept your fate- Your punishment. Where is your Pride, Toppo?”

Toppo felt his patience slip

“Where it always has been! I did what I had to do to protect my world, as did you! You can’t run from yourself forever, friend...”

“And you can?” His words remained still “You can run across the multiverse trying to find me, all to hide from your duties as...a Destruction God”

Had he not known better, Toppo could have mistaken Jiren's tone for disgust.

“I never wanted to hurt people, Jiren. I dont want to have to destroy the just. I came out here because... If we can kill one God...”

“No” His eyes snapped shut and his body grew tense. Now Jiren was the one growing weary with their... Debate “I won’t turn my back on Belmond. He’s a Destroyer. But he’s no better than you...”

“For what its worth... Warrior, I'm so—”

“No more. We won’t talk of it now. We have work to do”

As Jiren strode from the hall in search of space, Toppo willed himself to follow. He had travelled to Ash and back to find Jiren, and he wasn’t going to let him leave without saying his peace. But maybe Jiren was right... There was much work to be done before they could have the space to make peace.

“Brother...” Toppo breathed to himself “I didn’t think it would end up like this... Even after all these years... I had hoped for something... Different”

“'Big' doesn't cover it”

Jiren muttered in an empty voice, looming over the buffet table like a spectre. He wasn’t hungry. He was never hungry. He simply wished to keep an eye on the men he would soon be fighting beside... Or behind, as the case may be. For the most part, he doubted his interference would be required for a majority if the mission. He was more of a deterrent than a soldier any day of the week. Or at least, that was what his pride seemed to whisper in his ear.

“Eat well. There might be some time before you'll have the chance to eat agai-“

“Please, excuse my friend here. Jiren never was the... social type. My name is Toppo”

Makoto had been about ready to say 'the incident' specifically, but he was thankful Wanda had barreled over such awkwardness. Even so, the hug did not feel entirely right, even as Makoto reciprocated it. They were both feeling it, he could tell, and Makoto wished he knew desperately how to make the feeling go away.

"I've been... better," he said a bit cautiously, feeling as if he needed to be honest. A frown settled on his face when he realized the extent to which he wished to talk about. He figured he would have to hold off on the heavier topics, considering now was probably not the most appropriate time. "I'm just glad they authorized you to assist us."

Makoto then turned to the young girl accompanying the conversation and offered her his hand. "I'm Makoto Naegi, ma'am. You're not with the Coalition, are you?"

@Josh @Yun Lee

"Same, but I'm better than I was. Or at least I have hope I am. And I hope you will too."

Surprising, Wanda sounded confident as she lightly put her hand on the boy's shoulder. As looked at the boy, she knew something was wrong. It didn't take Women's intuition or her motherly instincts. Softly, she confotded him

"If you need someone to listen to, you know I'm here."

A soft smile still aloft her face, Wanda slowly slinked into the background of the current conversation the boy was having, Not adding anything, but clearly listening.
