The sci-fi world touching a medieval settling? How would that work?

I probably also should have mentioned in my previous post I am also for fantasy settings. As for the Medieval Sci-fi setting I could see that going one of two ways myself, We keep a purely medieval world and just sci fi the tech. Energy bows and Lightsabers (Not literal lightsabers). Or incorporate key aspects of Medieval settings into a more generic sci fi setting. I'm sure its' been done though I'm more familiar with similarities to the Roman Empire and usually are done on a bigger scale than a single world though. Any thoughts on either idea or other ideas?

I can't really see the first working out that well, but the second one I can see pretty well. Kind of like a Final Fantasy, 7 onward, type of situation maybe.

That sounds awesome actually. My vote is with the medieval sci fi.

So when people say Medieval Sci-Fi, all I can think of is Medieval Kings and Lords with plasma guns, space ships and cool things I can build with it all. If that is close to what people are also thinking, I am also in for a medieval sci-fi.

I was thinking more of the Final Fantasy kind

I'd guess perhaps size? Is this going to be only one planet, a system, a galaxy or multiple galaxies?

I'd say no larger then a system, but that's just me.

I agree with keeping it to no larger than a system. However, I am in favor of a single planet.
