World Building Group Thread (our RP name is a WIP) [OOC]

Perhaps the overlord is mortal, dies of old age, but often times does whatever they can to stay alive with the use of cybernetics, gene therapy, and organ transplants.

Heck I even just thought up an upper class who stays fundamentally alive forever by swapping their consciousness into a younger body, letting the older body dies while staying alive in their new younger bodies.

Eh, I'm not too much a fan of that, namely because I feel that there are many stories where the leader or ruling class works to stay alive forever in some manner at the expense of the serving classes.

However, I do like them being mortal. In a counter suggestion, what if each overlord worked to achieve something of eternal remembrance. EG, our current one seeks to be known as the the overlord who united/conquered the world in full. Another could have forged powerful health care builds. Another, still, could have put into effect a system of slavery in the empire. Anything that would go down forever in history. Failing to leave their mark on history, however, means that that overlord is stricken from history and forgotten.

Hey everyone, It seems it's been a bit since I posted here. I started college this month and that has taken a large chunk of my schedule.

I have, however busy I have been, a vague idea of my region if anyone wants to hear it still:
  • The region encircles the Polar icecap of the planet, and is a chain of frozen islands ending in a sub-continent. It will be called "The Chambrian Rift" and the subcontinent is "Chambria Proper"
  • Essentially it is full of savage, "evil" creatures
  • It was conquered rather trivially as a means of reaching the opposite hemisphere of the world in the Vergothian rise to power
  • Orcs, Harpies, Trolls... Those sorts of critters live there
I need to find some time to type it out properly, but since I've come upon a long weekend, what with the holiday, I may actually get to do it.
