The old seaman reminded Megatron of his biggest bruiser during the days of the war - the ever-loyal Lugnut, except less stupid, but both were the type to prefer a beatdown to a proper strategy.

"She is correct. Your tenacity is indeed a valuable asset that many causes wish to have within their ranks, Pyke, but like all other traits in a team, one needs to know when, where and how to utilise them. Otherwise, it could lead to our collective dooms."

Megatron, clinging onto the bars, attempts to peer his head out.

"They're prepared for us because they know us. However, we do not know them... yet. We are going to use our heads to figure their weaknesses and how they came to contain us. Then we hit them hard with every counter we can conjure."
Pyke stopped for a moment to respond, "Whatever you say, tin-man." He then went back to work.

After a series of who knows how many hits on the cell bars, he relented, perhaps for good this time. He was breathing heavily now, and he actually felt his body in mild pain and soreness. He didn't care, though, and disregarded Megatron's advice along with everyone who agreed with him. All he could think of was tearing out the guts of whichever captain he could find. "These bars must be blessed by the Bearded Lady or somethin'. No cell can keep me caged for this long," he said, almost in a defeated voice. "Damn it!" he suddenly exclaimed in frustration.

The visions were coming back, and so were the headaches.

You're not done.

Almost as if there were a parasite manipulating his mind, images of his death plagued his consciousness. He fell to one knee and held his head with both hands.

You're not done.

All he could see were the smiling, uncaring faces of his crew-mates and especially the captain as they cut his lifeline and left him to die.

You're not done.

He was just a tool to them: expendable.

You're not done.

He was the one who risked his life harvesting live sea monsters, and what respect did they give him? None.

You're not done.

They just saw him as a moneymaker. Meanwhile, the captain drank rum and got fat.

You're not done.

There were too many on that ship. There's no way he'd let them all survive. Now wasn't the time to give up. No matter how much steel stood in his way, he would not give in. A look of total madness appeared on his face as he continued to crash against the bars, continuing to add obnoxious sounds to the complex.

Candi smirked. "I know, right? It's so annoying. They could've at least woken us up if-" Candi suddenly stopped breathing for a second. "This isn't a jail, is it? I mean, no offense, you guys do seem kinda villainous, but they would've woken us up or something. This is someone who really hates us." Candi cupped her hands outward her mouth so that everyone would hear her. "HAS ANYONE KILLED ANYONE RECENTLY?! THEIR RELATIVES MIGHT WANT REVENGE!"

"T-That seems like a broad assumption. I highly doubt all of us committed murder around the same time. I know I haven't..." Ashe spoke in response to Candi's outburst but before he could get another word in someone else spoke up.

A dry laugh. Clearly he heard that, and her response was amusing. What soon followed from her mouth was even more amusing. Was someone this clueless to put the pieces together? Some may seem obvious and some may seem harder to pick out the wrongs that they've done. Nonetheless, it was easy to say that all of them had some dirt on their names to be thrown into these cells.

❝ You really are an idiot. You practically answered your own question. ❞ Nishiki grumbled in a low voice but of course, he purposefully made sure that she could catch his comment. It was only fair in his eyes to take a jab at her for how stupid she was acting. On the other hand...

❝ I'd rather wait for a perfect opportunity, which means not screaming bloody murder every possible second. ❞ He sighed, readjusting his sitting position against the wall behind him. Doing so, he glanced over at that bracelet on his wrist. There was still so much he didn't know about this situation, and he vaguely knew it wouldn't be any good to remain here for too long.

God, he's annoying. "Fine, I'll shut up..." she said, muttering a "if it means I won't have to hear another word out of your mouth." "What opportunity do you think is gonna pop up anyway? Do you think that the bars are gonna get rusty or somethin'? Whoever got us here has info on us, obviously. They probably know exactly what you're gonna do - plop onto your ass and wait. What if nothing comes up? You spend the rest of your life in prison. Doesn't that sound like fun?"

Candi sighed. "I'm not waiting for 'opportunity.' That requires luck and patience - and trust me, bub, I don't got either of those. So instead of waiting for opportunity... I'm gonna make opportunity!" She took a few steps back and kicked the cell with all of her might, sending a jolt of pain through her foot. She winced and hopped on one foot. "Damn... okay, waiting doesn't sound so bad anymore..."

"Perhaps waiting isn't such a bad idea for the time being at least. It gives us time to think up a plan.." Ashe suggested towards Candi as he thought this all over. He glanced at the cell across from him where Nishiki happened to be. Man he was getting some Sirius like vibes from this guy perhaps he's even worse than Sirius. Ashe would need to figure out a way to convince him that perhaps working together would be the better option.

The pale, suited man looming within Cell 18 cast a hollow glance to the steel, vertical bars keeping him contained from the rest of the facility. Unlike the actual animals shrieking from the other end of the cell block, the prisoner of Cell 18 did not even once consider forcing his way out.

Auditory evidence from the surrounding cells was enough to prove that action futile and pointless, even for someone like him, who could have effortlessly escaped confinement by now had he any motivation. There do exist boring talents such as escape artistry, after all.

Instead of doing something so meaningless, the prisoner remained staring through his bars, lightly running a pale hand against the cold steel and noticing a small bangle fastened to his wrist.

izuru-kamukura--3.75.jpg

"...?"

He moved his other hand to the small device, giving it a precise tug. It did not budge, because it was a monitoring device that hadn't been activated yet. The prisoner examined the bangle further, tilting his wrist around and giving it another look-over. The other person's comment about guards seemed to have found its answer, as this would be a logical supplement for physical guards, provided it has some tracking functionality.

How dull.

The prisoner dropped his hands back to his sides and loomed away from the bars, returning to his corner in the cell and silently running a hand against the dilapidated concrete walls as he waited for something remotely interesting to occur... or, perhaps a fitting opening to continue pursuing that goal.

❝ Now you see what I mean, idiot. ❞ Nishiki was absolutely deadpan once he heard the sound of her kicking at the bars that made up their separate cells. Using brute force was an approach that any prison would cover for in any case. Even if they weren't sharing cells, it was overwhelmingly frustrating to be in ears' reach from her at every second. He could wait for the perfect chance to initiate an escape, but he wasn't sure how long he could put up with this woman's idiocy taking place not too far from him.

Coming from the setting of underground crime, Nishiki knew that carelessly allowing himself to work with other people simply because they were in the same category of needs only spelled disaster. He had no confirmation if he was here because of that mysterious business partner drugging him in his own office or not, but it was his blunder to trust a suspicious individual in the first place. For the time being Ashe had decided to remain silent choosing to listen and observe what he could. He would look over the cells he could see across from him which in fact led to seeing the gigantic robot looking being. This being had been conversing with others he could only assume it could see and hear. Speaking of hearing Ashe could hear some banging close by and recalls hearing someone a female identify herself as the Goddess of death right next to the cell he was in. Finally someone another female had yelled from the cell on the other side from where he was currently. He decides first to focus on the robot that seemed to be suggesting perhaps a form of plan to go off of.

"I suppose that would be the most logical way to approach this situation. Those who did this clearly have an advantage against us so we'll need to plan accordingly.." Ashe suddenly spoke up towards Megatron in response considering it was best currently to at least form up some kind of plan here in the event that the people who imprisoned them do appear. Though being honest talking to a large being like Megatron was certainly something new. It honestly began to make Ashe wonder if this was some sort of dream.

Ah... The girl on the other side of his cell had spoken again. Seemed like a hostile response but given how mister grumpy suit had been acting this was of no surprise to Ashe. Still he knew that they all needed to work together if they were going to get out of here.

"A plan to escape would be nice. If only they hadn't taken our stuff that hammer seems like it would've been very nice to have in this situation.." Ashe spoke this time towards Candi in a much nicer tone given how Nishiki spoke to her.

Megatron turns to Hela for a bit.

"My Fusion Cannon is still present, it seems. Perhaps..."

XRF8OCY.png

Megatron charges his arm-mounted cannon at the walls the firepoint glowed bright...

... only for it to release a small, floating ember that dissipated.

He tried to shift the pieces on top of the cannon, only to fail.

"Everything indeed," Megatron shakes his head. He then turns to a side of the wall where he hears Nishiki's voice.

"While it is true that we all likely have a common goal, your skepticism is natural and understandable. Every possibility needs to be considered. And here's another consideration and another possibility - can you escape alone?"

"Well, in the plan-thinkin' department, do any of us have powers? I don't - only have a hammer and gun which I can't find. It would really help to have someone who could control metal right now," Candi said before turning to where she heard Niskiki. "And I agree with robot-guy. He pauses for a moment. Not that he was considering how to phrase his answer when prompted about escaping this place alone. The mentioning of powers was unfamiliar but yet not new to him. He momentarily lingered his thoughts to what he knew to be going on back home. That would easily explain those chaotic murders taking place. Aside from that, the more he listened to the others, the more it was becoming steadily apparent that some of them were with strange powers. Even then, no one appeared to have broken out of their cells yet, so those powers had to be restrained somehow in this setting.

❝ Oh I do intend on escaping alone. Unlike some people, I know when it's appropriate to make use of an extra hand or two, but that won't be so permanent after the fact. Survival of the fittest, or rather whose desire to escape is the strongest. Then again, this is all hypothetical, depending on so many factors here and there. ❞ Nishiki was fully content with that statement of being solo in this case. He wasn't simply beating around the bush with his intentions, especially if his implications were to be fully taken into account here. There was no need to hide those words, to sugarcoat them, when he knew that someone here could have the same thoughts as him.

Adjusting his sitting position on the floor, he couldn't ignore how much of a mild annoyance that strange bracelet was on his wrist.

Hela took a breath... and formed a Necrosword. She soon stabbed it into the wall.

The wall seemed to be no match for the blade as it poked clean through, Hela retracting it with an idea.

"If I can pierce that wall... perhaps I can bring the surrounding steel of the cell door in front of me down..." Hela thought aloud. Well, it was worth a shot.

Hela threw 6 giant blades into the top left and right corners, the middle of the left and right sides, and the bottom left and right corners. With a deep breath, and concentration... Hela pulled the blades to see if they would pull the wall in.

Dagran Prologue: Missing Puzzle Pieces [Cell #17]

Laying prone in his cell, Dagran awoke from the fog of unconsciousness with a groggy groan, brows furrowing at all of the noise around him that caused him to stir.

After a few moments golden eyes opened, and blinked as they tried to rid the bluriness from the edge of their vision. Slowly sitting, the man that the golden eyes belonged to stopped with an abrupt hiss of pain. Teeth gritting, a hand pressed against his temple. What happened? His body ached all over as if he had just gone through a long and tiring battle, yet he wasn't injured for the most part. Any attempt at remembering any current events that couldd have possibly placed him here earned a pounding headache. Had he hit his head or something?

Why couldn't he remember?

Had he failed his goal? Is that why he was here? These were no castle dungeons, those had been somewhat different than these from just a simple glance-and didn't have flashing red that seemed to make the pounding worse for a second, but with how desperate he had felt he was getting to reach his goal-and no, it wasn't the goal of making Zael and the rest of his motley crew of mercenaries Knights-the more he had wanted to become stronger.

He needed to be stronger, so no one else had to go through what he went through. That much he remembered. So why couldn't he remember anything else other than a few missions they've done here and there, as well as a few past events? Infiltrating the Gurak base, Zael and co's imprisonment and all of the work he had to do to help try and free them, Mirania's disappearance, the Haunted Mansion, the-

Another wave of pain, more intense than the last. This caused him to close his eyes for a moment before the pounding eventually subsided.

"Oi, do you lot really have to be so loud?" He spoke up to the more rambunctious in the group, whether he could see them or not. So far, when he opened his eyes again with clearer vision and the aching in his body lessening somewhat, he could see a rather odd man (one of the ones who were loud for the most part) as well as two young women. One looking no more than a mere teen at most.

Face remaining calm and stoic other than the way his jaw set as another, and thankfully smaller, wave of pain hit him, he felt at his side for his Traive, just for the reassurance that it would be there, only to find that the balde wasn't. Sighing through his nose, he leaned back until he was sitting against the wall. This was just great. No Mercenaries, no Lazulis Island most likely, so where was he if his group weren't nearby? He couldn't be back on the Mainland, he hadn't returned there in who knows how long.

Not only that, but there definitely weren't people who looked quite like some of those across from him that he could see. Deciding not to question this situation anymore for now, he simply took in his surroundings with furrowed brows. Not fimding anything that stuck out, it'd seemed he'd have to wait for now. Patience was key here, and hopefully his answers would come in time. Resolve set, the moment he was freed he would find his way back and reach that goal he set for himself. He just had to. He couldn't really count on Zael to take such a path towards revenge, no, the man he considered a Brother, although he'd make a fine Knight, likely wouldn't...whatever that path had been.

Lucy looked around the place more, and it seems that most people have awoken. Irritating. She was what people called a loner, and for good reasons as well. She hated 'humans', and it seems most of the people here were humans. Sure, she was past her phase of killing any human that came near her, but it wasn't like Lucy would suddenly like them.

If only she had vectors. Then she would get out, and that annoying girl who could be heard from many cells away would be dead. If that girl had asked if someone had killed, then she would find out for herself regardless.

She did have a valid point however, they were all in a prison, and all of them must be bad people, unless someone was framed. But Lucy? She didn't deny that she was a serial killer.
Thus, she spoke quietly and monotone, but still firmly.

"So, a prison. Have all of you commited serious crimes to be here, I wonder?"

The designation rolled from Izuru's tounge as a name normally would, but it was no identity of his. It was a mere designation given to him by his 'teachers'... like a scientist labeling a bottle of chemicals. Sinestro's following questions earned an empty stare from Kamukura.

It seemed as if he had many different answers, but only a single word slipped from his mouth.

"Everything."

His dismissive glare focused on Sinestro, responding with an equally blunt query. "Do you think I'm going to be of use for your plans?"

"If you cease talking in riddles, then perhaps..."

'Everything'. That single word had peaked Thaal's interest. Was it a bluff? A mere show of strength? Or perhaps his strong words matched his potential? Needless to say, he was intrigued

"Forgive me for not taking you up on your world. I will be in need of some proof... it is clear now than none of s have acesses to our Higher Abilities or weapons, so I doubt you'll be blasting through the walls between us. That said, I offer you my faith, but in doing so, I demand yours in return.

I have a Great Plan- one that will surely allow for at least half of us to escape- but to do so, I will need to you to he upfront with me, Izuru. I will need your to follow my orders. I will need you to be prepared to fight with your full strength and with none of it. I will need you to submit to the Will of Sinestro, lest you fall into the less fortunate half"

Candi groaned and reached into her pocket. It looked like they hadn't confiscated her lollipop, at least. Putting it in the side of her mouth, she sighed. "Well, bub, it sounds like unless we can break this thing with sheer mindpower, we're gonna be pretty useless... Unless our asshole captors decide to pay us a visit. But there's no way. That type of thing only happens in books," Candi continued.

Standing up, she then leaned on the side of the wall she thought her apparent ally was behind. "I might as well give ya some info. If we're bustin' outta here, we're gonna need to trust each other, and you seem pretty trustable. Unless it's a trick to make you look trustable, which would be untrustable. Ah, hell, whatever. The name's Candi Cottonswirl. Nice to meet'cha."

"It's nice to meet you!..." Ashe happily spoke after hearing Candi in a way relieved that she seemed to trust him as trust will be very important going forward.

"I'm Ashe Bradley and I will also trust you. After all trust will be key to us getting out of here..." Ashe spoke to Candi deciding to trust her as well. He knew full well 5that things could go south quick so having someone as an ally would be very useful and he himself planned to help her as much as he was able to. Since it seemed the two had no powers what so ever they'd need to use other methods to make it through this ordeal.

Izuru blinked. A disinterested, detached blink, as if he was watching an ant crawl across the sidewalk.

"It wouldn't make sense for someone who is better than you at everything to submit to your orders, would it?"

The Ultimate Hope's voice wasn't boastful, threatening or carrying any mien of defiance as he shut down Sinestro's command. Instead, his tone was hollow. It was like everything he said was procedurally generated by a computer, as opposed to a human mind. "You speak highly of yourself as if you and I are equals... yet, when devoid of these 'higher abilities' you speak of, you rely on threatening others to do your bidding. Is that what your 'Great Plan' is going to consist of?"

A sigh.

"Ah... how boring."

"Your abilities, your thoughts, your plan, and your existence is boring to me. Do what you must. Either way, I have no intention of getting involved."

With that, Izuru dismissed Sinestro with a wave of his hand. He'd direct his gaze to the other inmates in the cells across from him, now that he's taken the opprotunity to notice them, including that blue-haired boy. They, too, appeared to be predictable as Thaal Sinestro is - cocky, violent, domineering, scheming... many things to that effect. A cauldron of putrid smells that bubbling beneath their ultimately unremarkable exteriors.

But, Izuru Kamukura would continue watching them regardless, because boring people are still capable of demonstrating that unpredictable battle that he seeks a conclusion to.

"Chris..."
"That damned Chris..."

In the cold, swampy, and damp cell, there was man mumbling to himself as he went in and out of consciousness. The last thing Wesker remembered was a battle against Chris Redfield. The bastard injected him with something before Wesker retreated to his plane. He was to release Uroboros before everything went dark. With his vision beginning to return, he began to hear others around him. He slowly woke up, his beastly eyes now visible to those who could see him. He felt his disgusted surroundings as he tried to lift himself up. Realizing he was surrounded by a red light, Wesker could finally see more of his surroundings. He found his glasses on the floor, wiped them clean to the best of his ability, and then put them on. To the best of his knowledge, it would seem he had no weaponry on him. "What is this...where the hell am I? Chris, that bastard, where is he? Argh!" The more he tried to think about the situation, the more his head hurt. He looked up and noticed the woman across from him. There was a strange device on her arm. Taking a look at himself, he noticed a similar brace on his wrist. As he listened to those around him, it was clear he wasn't surrounded by saints exactly. Confused, and mostly out of options, Wesker decided to speak up.

"If any of you would like to tell me what the hell is going on, I might actually be grateful. Then again, it's in your best interest to be on my good side."

For a moment, Sinestro allowed himself to laugh, losing himself in a heartbeat of thought. Once his breath was caught and his eyes pried open again, he found it in him to continue to humour his fellow inmate. A sinister smirk sat across his lips.

"Oh, you truly have misread me, Izuru. Every single word that left your lips was hilariously incorrect. You forget who it is you are talking to. I am not a maker of threats; I am a maker of promises. And I promise that the moment you fall asleep I will crawl into your cell and strangle you myself. Powers or now powers"

"Do not presume for a moment that you understand the smallest slither of the potential I possess. I do not intend to make an enemy of you. Nor would you of me. Yet continue to insult me with your prattling and I will make sure that they are the last words you speak"
His face contorted into a scowl

"I understand you now. I can read you like a weather report; you feint power, you feint strength. Yet with these bands around our wrists, you and I are equal. Perhaps at full strength, someone of your supposed potential might put up a fight, but even then you wouldn't last long. Nobody conquers Thaal Sinestro. I have wielded more power than you could ever dream of wielding. I have stared gods in the face. I have conquered death more times than you could imagine. Call me boring. Call me dreary. But behind these old eyes lies the soul of the Universe- no, the Mutlvierse's Greatest Survivor. And unlike you, my greatest power comes not from my abilities or weapons... my greatest strength of all..."

Taking his left wrist in his right, Thaal snapped his wrist in one swift, sleek motion.

"...Is my will... My indomitable will!"

With his bones dislocated, Sinestro tried to slide the screen across his now malleable hand and remove it from his arm. He had no natural abilities to speak of, and had no means of escaping the cell, but the agony he hid behind his flawless facade was enough of a show of power to reaffirm his position at the top of the food chain. He would keep the bracelet on his person. He would keep in tact. If he could remove it from his broken wrist, then he would savour the tool to bludgeon his captors with when the time came. He would not be undermined by Izuru's attitude. Sinestro was undermined by no man.

Envy scowled at the noise reverberating through the corridor of cells, deciding they had had enough, they walked over to the bars, and just screamed, "SHUT THE HELL UP, ALL OF YOU!" They didn't think they would actually stop, but it was worth try.
