"EEEEEEEE!!!" Godiva flew right into their room, almost knocking into some furniture as she excitedly pulled her makeup kit onto the table and popped it open. "Okay! So, let me see what you're wearing! Whatever I do, it can NOT clash with your dress!"

"P-Pyry let Godiva do her makeup," Penelope explained to Georgia and Fledgling. "I'm good, Olive. Um...has anyone seen Mallory? I'm worried about her..."

"Huh? What about Mallory?" Rochelle poked her head out her room.

Penelope looked down. "I...I don't know... I know she's gonna be Jekyll and H-Hyde, but...she was acting kind of weird this morning."

"...huh." Rochelle was silent a moment, but shrugged. "I'm sure she'll be fine! You need to stop worrying so much, girl!" She returned to her room, and Penelope sighed.

"One more year? Ha! More like one more week." Aurelio shook his head. "You forget, Hunter, but Legacy Day is this Friday. Once you sign your name into the Storybook of Legends, your destiny is set in stone forever!"

"Oh...right." Daisuke's demeanor darkened. "I forgot about that."

Hoping to avoid the bleak turn this conversation was taking, Jay waved at Angel. "'Sup."

"..." Mr. Charming quietly listened to all Mallory had to say. "...I understand. Knowing the future that awaits you, the outcome of your story...it's rather terrifying. You think to yourself, 'Why me? Why must I endure such hardships, while others get a happy ending?' It's cruel and it's unfair, and you want to take matters into your own hands!" He paused for a moment. "You aren't the first student I've had who expresses such concerns. Ugly Stepsisters, Jack's Giant, Ichabod Crane, The Little Mermaid...I certainly can't speak from a place of experience, of course, but I understand how frightening it all is. But the awful truth of it is...once you reject your future on Legacy Day, you disappear. By any chance, have you heard the story of The Two Sisters?"

Hunter's eye involuntarily twitched upon hearing Aurelio speaking. He didn't like to fight, but this prick was asking for an ass whooping. "Oh yes, how right you are! My mistake. That's even less time you have to pretend not to be some stuck up, arrogant son of a....!" Hunter stopped himself before he got out of control. Ultimately he took deep breaths and calmed down. When Angel showed up, Hunter couldn't help but feel awkward. As fate would have it, someday he'd have to eat Angel whole, only for the woodsman to slice him open to get the boy out. An experience surely neither of them looked forward to. He awkwardly grinned and waved at Angel.

Pyry followed after Godiva with a calm steps. "Well, I was considering this particular dress." Deep from her suitcase Pyry pulled out a pastel green swing dress with a cute ribbon on the left side. From the way she presented herself Pyry's style of dress clashed considerably with the image she had at the school. "...Perhaps it is too forward?"

"Ah, Ms. Medici. I was just hoping to grab a bite to eat. I don't want to be any trouble. I just haven't had a chance to grab anything to eat all day. Of course, if you need any help setting up your big, fancy party, it's a hero's job to assist."

Hector was swesting bullets. His feet itched to run marathons away from the party. Of course, denying the invitation to a party wasn't something one did in front of the host.

"I've heard of it being common for future villains - acting strange as their time comes. It's the destiny they have to follow - the hero is always victorious and the villain always loses. And you know what happens when the story goes the wrong way..." Fledgeling says. "If you ask me, I think what she needs is a good school year to remember when she's experiencing her grim future.

❝ O-Oh, well... ❞ Crescent stammered once Rochelle offered to help her out with getting ready. Slight embarrassment flushed over here since she never really thought she would be needing to ask for assistance from people that weren't the family servants. With the brief moment that Rochelle peeked out of the room to check up on the other conversation outside their room, the princess took this as a chance to situate herself with a single deep breath. Once that was done, she worked up a smile.

❝ Sure! Well... I guess this is the first time I'm putting something like this on without help from my family. ❞

"Hey!" Jay stepped between Aurelio and Hunter. "That's enough, guys! Seriously! Now, we're all going to that party and we're all gonna have fun. Right?" It wasn't a question.

Aurelio huffed. "Fun is subjective..." But he aquiesced, going back into the room without another word.

Jay sighed. "Try not to piss him off too bad this year, yeah? As difficult as he can be, picking fights will only make him worse."

As she started readying the cosmetics, she asked, "Tell me about your skin! Is it oily, clear, combination...?"

Ludovica didn't seem to notice how troubled Hector was. "Actually, you may help." She picked up a small plate of sliced meat and offered it to Hector, her golden eyes studying him intently. "Could you tell me how this tastes? To my kind, everything tastes different than to humans."

"I- I guess..." Fledgeling's voice emerged from the peacock as its tail spread out like a fan in mild surprise of the teacher's announcement. Her head then turned to Georgia and Penelope. "Let's start off a great school year by making sure this party is the best party we will ever have!"

This was unusual for Hunter, being this angry, and it began to frighten him. He let Aurelio go without another word and listened to Jay. "You're right man, I...I'm sorry. I guess I've just been stressed out. I'm not ready for legacy day...how the hell could I be?" Hunter spoke his mind finally, it was nice to let it out. But shook his head and put on a smile. "But there's no need to think about that. I've isolated myself for too long. Tonight is gonna be a blast, and I'm excited!"

“I wish I could do more to help her, but there are some dragons I can’t fight...” she said, biting the inside of her mouth. She changed the subject. “You guys look nice by the way, Penelope, Fledgeling.”

At Miss Shahrazad walking down the hall, Georgia would let out a small laugh and glance at her unarmored arm. “Ha ha, yeah. It’s kind of obvious.” she said, with a slight chuckle. “I was changing, but it takes a while to get the armor off and my roommate came in and then I got distracted by the commotion out here. It’s a work in progress, but, Nihil novo sub sole I guess.” she shrugged. She turned to her teacher. “ Are you getting ready for it, Miss Shahrazad?”

Mallory continued to gasp for air like a diver that had been beneath the waves too long, each breath a desperate act of clinging to life. Unable to pry her gaze away from Charming's, the despair in Mallory's face twisted with scorn until her soft eyes became as daggers. "I know the truth - I wouldn't be losing my goddamn mind if I didn't!" she shouted in retort, unable to keep a lid on her festering emotions in the moment. What followed was a long silence from her as she turned her head away with colour filling her cheeks, broken only the sound of her breath slowing. "...no, I haven't..." Mallory eventually answered Charming's question, quiet as a mouse.

Luckily for Angel, Jay dissolved the conflict before it started. Scratching the back of his head he spoke up again.

"Fun may be subjective but it doesnt hurt to try and lighten up at least once in your life." He told Aurelio with a frown. He tried enjoying his time family a lot because he knew how his story would end, and he hoped Aurelio could get that stick outta his butt long enough to at least try to enjoy himself at least.

Free food? Exactly what Hector came here for! Not only that, protein to keep his muscles strong. "Sure, no problem," he said. He inhaled the plate of food, barely stopping to taste it until the last bite.

The food was phenomenal. It was better than anything he'd ever gotten from the Castleteria before. Perhaps, even better, it filled his empty stomach.

"Tastes just fine to me. No need to worry. Could I get seconds?"

❝ Oh, I suppose this goes on first. ❞ Crescent tilts her head as she glanced over what she had in her closet, picking out a white robe that was slightly shorter compared to the actual kimono she planned on wearing. Considering that this kimono was specifically customized for particular occasions for herself, the princess figured that it would make sense to wear a nagajuban under the actual kimono, ensuring that the delicate silk fabric doesn't get heavily worn out.

Pyry sat down to allow Godiva to do her work. Sitting silently for a moment the future Snow Queen felt that she needed to speak up. "Since we are to be room mates for this year...as well as not knowing each other very well. I propose that we ask each other questions. I will start since I thought of the idea. What would you say defines your being?" If Godiva had expected an easy question of favorite colors or if she could cook, then she clearly didn't know Pyry.

With a huff, a shake of her head, and a long pause in-between, Mallory finally rose to her feet. "No, I'll-...I'll be fine," she confidently stuttered, wiping away whatever tears were left with her wrist, "I gotta go get ready for, y'know, but, uh, thanks, Mr. Charming," the junior doctor added, a genuine smile blooming across her lips after the storm had passed, "Sometimes you just need someone to tell you something you already know, eh?" the junior doctor awkwardly chuckled as she turned to leave for the dorms. "See you," Mallory politely added in just as hastily as she exited.

Godiva blinked, surprised by the question, but took it in stride in order to figure out a good answer. "Uhhh...I guess...happiness? Like, making people as happy as possible? I mean, with an endless war going on and all, I'd love to, like, one day reach a deal with the mice, but..." She sighed. "I guess I, like, can't, since the world kind of needs that war for us to exist." Finished with the blush, she moved on to the lipstick. "And you? Talk about your being...but you can't say cold!"

Mallory arrived just as Penelope had finished getting dressed in a simple, but pretty lavender dress. She had even put her hair up for the occasion. "Mallory! There you are...I was worried about you. A-Are you okay?"

"Hrm..." Pyry's dejected response was anything but ladylike. It didn't take her very long to give her answer, though maybe that had more to do with the fact that she wished for Godiva to color her lips with out them moving about. "I wish to be...content. Content with myself, content with my future...content with my mother. I do not need much warmth, because I know it's an impossibility, both in a figurative sense and a literal sense, but I wish at least to be at peace. Does that suit for an answer? If show now it's your turn to think of a question."
