With that, Riesbyfe and those who accompanied her were off!

The Bifrost Bridge, also known as the Rainbow Bridge for self-explanatory reasons when gazing upon it, was a rather long stretch of land, and from the Observatory, one could traverse to any of the so-called "Nine Realms" of this universe, and beyond. Of course, the main priority was the Great Spirit residing somewhere else within Asgard, but more than that, there was little doubt that this area would be of great use to the Revanchist if they were to capture it. And needless to say, that was why they would have to make sure that didn't happen.

Upon reaching the Observatory at the end of the bridge, they were met by a bald man clad in armor, clearly an Asgardian from the looks of it, seeming to have been waiting for them. Giving them a casual wave, he walked over to the group.

"Ah, guessing you're the cavalry," he said, extending a hand. "Name's Skurge. And you are?"

Nodding, Riesbyfe shook his hand. "Riesbyfe Stridberg," she introduced herself, to which the man furrowed his brow.

"... I'll call you Beef instead. How about that?"

"What?"

"Anyway, I'll be helping you lot hold the Observatory. If the Revanchist is as fearsome as everyone else has been sayin', sounds like we've got our work cut out for us," he went on, before gesturing toward the corner of the Observatory, in which a pile of trash... or rather, "assorted items" lay.

Skurge-s-Stuff.png

"In the meantime, you're welcome to my stuff if you'd like!" He said, gesturing toward the pile shamelessly. There were quite a bit of some odd items in the lot, between an actual scooter, some combat blades, machine guns straight from Earth, a shake-weight, some nice status, and so on. Riesbyfe wasn't quite sure what to make of that, shaking her head.

"I-I'm fine with what I have," she responded, before letting out an exasperated sigh, "... I feel like I've made a mistake."

Reiner looked over the weapons they had in store, looking a little puzzled, but he nevertheless kept his composure... And formality, offering a rather stoic salute before he pored over what he could arm himself with.

HBYlRkn.png

"Reiner Braun. At your service. I'll protect this place to the best of my ability!" He said.

There was that salute again. While Reiner knew better, this still somewhat reminded him of the days he once served as a soldier... When he was tasked with defending the walls.

Eyeing the machine guns, he picked up one or two, looking them over... To try and get a read on how they worked; they were like miniaturized cannons almost. Ones capable of firing multiple shells at that.

While he would inevitably be using his titan in battle, he figured it wouldn't hurt having a couple of these on him, incase he needed them.

Then, something else occurred to him, as he looked up at Skurge.

"Do you have anything... Bigger? Something I can wield if I was... Say... 15 meters tall?" He asked suddenly.

It was a strange question for sure to most people... But anyone who knew about his powers, might have an idea what he was driving at here.

Interesting. So most of her group were magical girls as well. Shiz? No, Chise. Oh well, Reimu even forgot the names of people she met a few days ago, she doubt she would remember. Okay, so she was a witch in training, kind of like Marisa. She wondered what kind of magic they had there.....nah, couldn't be bothered by such boring and needles subjects.

"You're learning more then magecraft? And what are those things? Are they going to help with this mission?"

Meanwhile, the more interesting, and likely more powerful magical woman was none other then the leader of the vault. A defender of the Great Spirits, the lord of spirits: More prestigous then a mere witch in training. That was the kind of person they needed on their team. Powerful people with a powerful position, who can defend against the most strongest of enermies.

The last person, the one minority, the one male....Reimu couldn't really tell WHAT he was. So he was a superpowered form of...a random teenager? That was strange. Most people who had a superpowered form was already powerful enough to turn into a new form.

"So you're a random kid who can change appearances. What kind of...powers do you have when you turn, since I'm assuming you have no powers by yourself. How do you even change into this...Zaptain 'Merica?"

"I guess I'm supposed to recognize your eyes too, if everyone else is gonna do that without much prompt, but Blake... I do indeed remember that name. I don't quite have the memory to associate a face with that name, but I guess that's neither here nor there right now," Riesbyfe chuckled uncomfortably, almost feeling left out as Cagliostro and Clark drew attention to the apparent coincidence that they had run across a fellow Point Zero survivor's sister from the looks of it.

It seemed that the blonde man accompanying them, Reiner, was familiar with this Lapis in his own right, but the silver-haired knight zoned out a little as the girl kept talking, and that was when she figured it was high time to get a move on. Their circumstances certainly sounded complicated, even without the threat of multiversal destruction.

"Anyway... I suppose if this is the count, are we all ready to move?"

"...Heh, pretty interesting Clark," Shirou smirked in response to Clark's apparent offer of forgiveness, though it had a friendly air to it. He wasn't quite sure what he was expecting from Clark, but not knowing was part of the excitement for him. "Well ball's in your court. I mean shit, I ain't complainin' if you don't plan to punch my face in. I said it when I got here, right? Looks like we're partners now."

"Yeah sure, let's get the fuck outta here before we recreate the whole damn crew."

"Let's be honest; if I was going to punch you, you already by in the ground by now, right? You're good, and you can hurt me, but I'm faster. Just one good hit. But like you said, Partners"

Smirking at Shirou, Following Riesbyfe, Clark we in awe when he enter e the observatory. As Riesbyfe sighed, Clark chuckled loudly.

Milla was not entirely sure what to make of Billy's powers, but they certainly sounded intriguing. Ever since she had assumed her duties as the Lord of Spirits and became acquainted with the multiverse, Mills had been endlessly fascinated with the kind of abilities humans from other worlds could display.

"I'm afraid we don't have much more time to talk," Milla said. She looked behind her, toward the end of the Rainbow Bridge. "Cosmo said that the vault lies within the palace that's just beyond the bridge. The fighting there appears to be heavy, so expect the worst."

Milla led the way, moving at a brisk pace across the bridge. It wasn't long before the palace came into view and the reality of the situation was clear. Robotic entities moved in droves in and out of the palace, firing laser blasts at groups of armoured warriors.

t7clcTF.jpg

Though the Asgardian warriors appeared primitive by comparison, their metal shields successfully blocked and deflected the laser blasts. The shields glowed a bright blue whenever they blocked something, as did the warriors' weapons whenever they attacked. The fight appeared largely even, as the Asgardian warriors were cutting through the droids just as much as they were falling to precise laser blasts.

"The vault is inside the palace," Milla said as magical energy formed around her. "We will need to cut a path through!"

Billy Batson/ Shazam

" Well, if I said the name now, I wouldn't be much help in the battle. I'll tell you after we are done or at least in a safe area... oh and not indoors," he replied back to her. He offered a weak smile at the girl. " Well, I guess since I can't explain them all since we have a battle, I can definitely show you," he replied.

Billy would fly up into the air, his cape blowing in the air and hummed a tune that was very similar to Eye of the Tiger. "
Hands... Lightning with my hands, lightning with my hands, lightning with my hands," he hummed. As he sang this, he would strike his lightning straight down towards the robot, across at certain points sending the bolts diagonally towards them in both directions and then off sideways to one side and then another. Once he was done being show-off, he would fly down and grab one of the robots, turning it into bowling and throwing them against each other.

Skurge gazed at Reiner blankly, blinking for a moment as though struggling to comprehend the younger man's question, before eventually answering. "Mate, does it look like anything here is 15 meters tall?" He asked. "I wish I had an axe or a gun that big; certainly wouldn't be letting anyone else use it if I did!"

To Cagliostro, he simply nodded and gestured toward his stuff again. "Do as you wish. Ain't like it'd matter if we don't survive through this."

"Well, let's not entertain the thought of retreating. Come what may, we ought to fight to the end, whatever that might entail," Riesbyfe responded to Clark, his joke either hitting the woman like a wall or flying over her head entirely, furrowing her brow as she spoke.

With another breath, the young woman pinched the bridge of her nose for a moment, as though needing a second, before looking to Skurge again. "Did you get all of these from Earth? Some of these items look rather... bizarre. Alien-like, even."

"Aha, you certainly have a fine eye for the finer things in life. The maiden knows more than she lets on!" Skurge laughed at Riesbyfe's words, before grabbing the shake-weight suddenly. "You had your eye on this thing, didn't you?"

The lightning arced off a number of the droids, causing them to explode. The Asgardians who took notice let out a war cry and many of the droids turned on Billy and the others now that they had been noticed. Milla let out an amused noise. "These should be easier than many enemies I've faced before," she said.

The magical aura around Milla coalesced into a ring of fire and the woman extended her hand to shoot out a volley of fireballs at the droids. The impact let loose a fiery explosion of heat and metal.

Billy Batson/Shazam

Billy beamed proudly at the fact that he had caused and he noticed the droids had turned on him. He did take note that meant he would have to be more careful. " I agree with you Milla. These are a lot easier to destroy than my own enemies as well," he replied back to her, as he would shoot more lightning at the droids

Billy just looked over at the scrap heap and smiled. It was a good thing that they had her on their side and not as their enemy. He wondered how much power she had if this was a small dosage of it

"Got it," he said, pulling his cape up to block the laser beams and then shooting lightning with his free hand.

"Whatever gets us where we need to go," Jack said, following the man. As the group started to depart, the Asgardian turned to one other, who pretended not to notice him.

"I trust your trip to Asgard went well," he said. "We were fortunate to find a Valkyrie willing to join our cause."

Scrapper sighed, turning to her fellow Asgardian. "What, was the me here unavailable? Or has she already achieved my goal of drinking herself to death?"

"It is not her time yet. It seems the world you come from is different than ours. Learning you had been displaced as you vanished in Sakaar's portal and were safe was a miracle."

"Especially considering what happened to Thor?" Scapper asked rhetorically, her tone lace with bitterness. There was a bit of sadness somewhere in there, but she seemed to realize it and quickly finished her part in the conversation. "You better get a move on, Protector, while you have people left to save." Taking a longer drink from her flask, she followed Cosmo along.

Jack wasn't sure whether to comment on the matter further. "She all right?"

"She is from another world, and was on her way to prevent Ragnarok when she and the Thor of her world were displaced. She made it safely to a city called Avalon, but Thor was not so fortunate. And neither was their Asgard." The man paused a moment, before urging the group on. "...She's right. We must move quickly."

He led them off the bridge and away from the city, opting instead to lead the group into a forest. The bugs from the bridge seemed to still be present, as the journey was undercut by their buzzing.

"You got a name?" Jack asked the man as they walked along. "Or you rather we call you Protector like she did?"

"Heimdall. As she said, I do everything I can to protect Asgard. I usually operate within the observatory, but when we learned of the oncoming threat I decided to evacuate the citizens and put the observatory in the care of another."

Heimdall stopped in his tracks, as if seeing something, though all anyone else would see were trees. "...I'm beginning to regret that decision."

The strange armored Karl Franz seemed to elude further investigation from Titus, as the space marine noticed squads of people beginning to mobilize. He'd leave Franz with a suspicious look, before turning away from the man and beginning to start after the squad that the boisterous emperor declared himself apart of; one charged with protecting the civilians of this world.

A rare sight for Titus, to see the ones in command show concern for civilian casualties. A comforting sight.

"That's noble of you, Heimdall," Titus' voice finally spoke as he informally joined the team on their walk to the civilian center, the towering armor-clad marine now walking alongside the 'Protector.' "Do you know if the enemy is making a point to target civilians? If the other fireteams draw enough attention, this may make our job easier."

Titus paused, realizing he hadn't even introduced himself nor stated that he was joining them.

3KtPj9v.png

"Ahem, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Captain Titus... formerly of the Ultramarines 2nd Company. I will be with your team for this mission."

The marine moved along with steely confidence, moving the bulkier of his two gauntlets to cock back the gun-like weapon fastened to his wrist. The metal in the gun churned, eager to unleash its contents at the squeeze of a trigger. "No innocent blood will stain the ground of Asgard. The Emperor wills it so."

Reiner nodded, realizing how absurd his question was... Trying to just pretend like he wasn't just seeing Skurge doing some rather suggestive motions with what looked to be some kind of weird barbell.

He didn't know what the heck it was, but he was a little afraid to ask.

"Of course. I suppose I'll just improvise." He said, eyeing Cagliostro and Lapis for a moment as he spoke.

He was confident in his group's abilities, but he didn't want to be left unarmed as a titan, it might not bode well if the enemy had something as big as him. Then he paused, suddenly remembering a rather important question pertaining to their reason being here.

"By the way... Do you know what this Revanchist will send for us? We should strategize while we have the chance." He said suddenly.

Now that they had a chance to plan, or at least so he thought, he figured it would be a good idea to take advantage of it. Improvising on the fly was an option, but not one that he wanted to resort to in a place like this. There was no telling if his Titan alone would be enough in battle without more information.

❝ Interesting collection you have there... ❞ Lapis commented on the display of various items before them. There wasn't much that would prove useful to her as is, but these can be useful in another way. Casually holding out her right hand, the Witch would materialize a sword made purely out of a blue crystalline material.

❝ ... makes for a good reference point when I can create these crystals. This could work out. ❞ She glanced over to compare her handiwork to some of the combat swords that were a part of that pile.

"Relax Reis. Everything's going to go well and according to plan, at least we can scooter out of this, right?"

Look at the scooter, Clark would use his x-ray vision to see how good of shape it was in."

"Who knows? Maybe we'll find out another day," Shirou answered casually, seeming somewhat pleased with Clark's confident response.

With his X-ray vision, Clark would indeed be able to see that the scooter, along with everything else, was in relatively decent condition at the very least.

"Not particularly, n--"

"If you need a warm-up for your arms before battle, this the perfect tool! Let me give you a demonstration!" He said enthusiastically, before turning it on.

Wriggle wriggle.

Lo and behold.

Riesbyfe looked like she was this close to disassociating but instead she looked away, holding a hand to her forehead. "Lord give me strength, I'm in the den of sin..."

"Yeah, I'll keep that hunk of shit in mind in case I get a little lonely."

Shirou spoke without a hint of disdain in his tone despite his words, but still had to hold back a snicker. He gave the rest of the equipment a quick glance as well, but the way he was now he didn't really need any of it. Some of the others looked like they could make it more useful, so he decided to leave the pile of junk to them for now.

Heimdall nodded. "I thank you for your service here today, Captain, as no doubt all of Asgard does, as well." As he resumed walking he thought over Titus' question. "You would think that, but I've been sensing something...peculiar about this invasion."

"What, you think Revan's got a trick up his sleeve?"

"I cannot say for sure, but the disturbance is strong enough that I wouldn't let my guard down. As it is, I do not want to leave the stronghold unguarded for too long. But we are almost there, at least. Just a bit further..."

"Alchemy, though I just started learning, so I'll rely on the magecraft I've learned as well as the abilities I've gained recently." Chise responded while holding up her left hand, the skin black as night. "I can lift about two people's worth of weight and my senses seem to have heightened, so I hope to help all I can in protecting the Great Spirit." She spoke, returning her hand to her side.

"I won't go into specifics, but maybe another time." Chise added. Now really wasn't the time, and tge magus doubted Reimu had much interest in her abilities anyway-though there would be time to show. at least some of the Sleigh Beggy's abilities no doubt.

I'll tell you after we are done or at least in a safe area... oh and not indoors,"
he replied back to her.

Hairtie safely put in a pocket, Chise's hair moved as she herself began releasing and absorbing large amounts of magical energy, the two green jewels in her staff glowed as she used it as a conduit. Glancing to Milla as she created fire balls against the droids, Chise then focused on a group of droids in her sights. With an incantation the droids would ignite in burts of flame. It was like trying to light a group of candles simultaneously-if she were pouring a lot of energy into potentially setting a house fire or something similar at least. She made sure to be careful of the Asgardians in the area fighting the droids as she put as much power into the attack in hopes of either melting the enemies or causing them to explode as Milla had.

tumblr_inline_p7gbj1MU4M1sjp02i_100.jpg

Following this, she created multiple wasps, and sent them out into the flames with hopes that they'd shoot out from the flames at other droids like a group of small highspeed balls of fire.

"You don't have to tell me twice." Chise replied to Milla with determination. Even when a bit out of her element like in the Othinus Incident. The young magus was, for the most part, trying to adapt with her magic outside of her world and hoped this so far was enough.

"An armory, eh?" Scrapper strode up to the markings to get a better look and see if she could tell what they were...granted her vision wasn't too blurred, of course.
