"What are they gonna send after us? Well, to answer your question..." Skurge began to respond to Reiner, tossing aside the shake-weight once it became clear that Riesbyfe was not about to touch it, before suddenly a deep rumbling could be felt in the air, almost like a small quake, but the source of it was anything but small. Taking a pair of binoculars from his junk pile, the bearded Asgardian gazed upon the length of the bridge, seeing a peculiar sight on the other side.

"Uuuh... Well, that," he said, looking at the army steadily making their way toward the group.

"If I may..." Riesbyfe said, taking the binoculars for herself and looking through them, her brow furrowing deeply as though genuinely confused by what she was looking at, letting the others in the group take a look in the process. What they saw was...

"Upupupupupupupupupupupupupupupupupupu!!"

An army of robotic bears. An army of Monokuma Units.

"... Oh."

All sporting razor sharp claws and the identical malicious grin plastered across all their faces. And leading them in front was a markedly different looking robot, much taller and even more sophisticated looking than the others in a certain manner. He sported a more distinct appearance, and rather than crude bear-like claws, he sported actual weapons.

Its designation was HK-47, and it was considered one of the deadliest assassins working under the Revanchist.

Bang!

Even through the stampeding of the Monokuma army making their way toward the Observatory, ready to eviscerate whoever they liked, the sound of a piercing gunshot flew through the air, and it was only by a hair that Riesbyfe was able to lift her massive shield in time, the droid's blaster bolt deflecting harmlessly off the woman's shield.

... time to do this with style. Come on gang."

Cagliostro revved the scooter and straps machine guns to it, preparing to roam into battle. She spun around like a hurricane for a bit while riding it, and when she stopped, she was replaced by what I would assume is an entirely different person.

"Cypher Pink of the Cypher Rangers, reporting~ Ouroboros, come forth~! Become..."

Following this strange substitution, a great serpent was conjured, swirling around this so called 'Cypher Pink' and moving in synch with her, before merging with the green scooter, coating it with armour that matched the odd hero's colour motifs.

"Ouroborocycle~!" a sweet voice emerged from Cypher Pink's mouth, before morphing into a sadistic cackle, "let's CRUSH THEM TO NOTHINGNESS!"

6c1EVKs.png

(Pretend this looks aesthetically pleasing)

The Ouroborocycle, a serpentine steed most majestic and with beauty that would make a swan look like a raven, rushed forth as the gatling guns attached to it would continue to fire at the bear armada.

"These small fry are unbearable! I want the main dish!" she cackles in a despair-inducing manner that would make the bears feel at home, all while aiming to face the one established as HK-47.

The Ouroborocycle spins as it dashes.

"ARS MAGNA!"

A great, black sphere was created, sucking the bears in and spitting out circuits, scrap and bear dust.

"Who's next for Cypher Pink's lovey dovey treatment~."

❝ Interesting collection you have there... ❞ Lapis commented on the display of various items before them. There wasn't much that would prove useful to her as is, but these can be useful in another way. Casually holding out her right hand, the Witch would materialize a sword made purely out of a blue crystalline material.

❝ ... makes for a good reference point when I can create these crystals. This could work out. ❞ She glanced over to compare her handiwork to some of the combat swords that were a part of that pile.

"Who knows? Maybe we'll find out another day," Shirou answered casually, seeming somewhat pleased with Clark's confident response.

"Yeah, I'll keep that hunk of shit in mind in case I get a little lonely."

Shirou spoke without a hint of disdain in his tone despite his words, but still had to hold back a snicker. He gave the rest of the equipment a quick glance as well, but the way he was now he didn't really need any of it. Some of the others looked like they could make it more useful, so he decided to leave the pile of junk to them for now.

Seeing the army of... Mechanical bears (he's not gonna think about it too hard). Without hesitation, he gave the other a nod... Raising his hand to his face as he prepared to titan-shift.

X0b8hHO.png

"This is... A battle to save the world!" He said, and with that, he bit down on his hand... Hard.

A bolt of lightning struck down from the heavens, enveloping his body in a bright light, accompanied by a crack of thunder, and a piercing screech.

GTSJ4OJ.gif

A massive body manifested out of thin air... Bone... Muscle... And its signature armor plating.

gy0jFUf.png

Towering at a massive height of 15 feet, the armored titan let out a defeaning roar as he prepared to charged the army head on, his sights particular set upon that mechanical beast that almost hit Riesbyfe were it not for her shield.

❝ That looks like fun. ❞ Lapis sounded very unamused by what they were supposed to be dealing with. Either way, there wasn't much room to complain about that. It just gives her more reason to take care of them. Picking up speed by running towards the commotion, she tightened the grip on her crystallized sword, taking aim at the one robot that stood out from the rest. Then, she threw the crystallized sword like a javelin, aimed for HK-47. Regardless if it hit or missed, she tapped some magic into the crystal sword midair, having it burst into a spiky crystal projectile that would do a number on the Monokuma bots.

"An armory, eh?" Scrapper strode up to the markings to get a better look and see if she could tell what they were...granted her vision wasn't too blurred, of course.

@Jeremi @Minerva @Hahli Nuva

Luckily, Scrapper was perhaps the only one in the group capable of deciphering the runes.

The runes sprawled across the right archway translated into salvation.

While the ones on the left translated into destruction.

"Penny for your thoughts, luv?" Bayonetta strutted up to the woman with a coy smile on her lips, though Scrapper couldn't be quite sure if that smile wasn't always there. "Did you perchance figure something out?"

Reimu sighed, and turned her head to the scene of battle. She had only briefly nodded in acknowledgement to Billy and Chise's statements. They appeared to be impressive and powerful abilities, but Reimu had no interest in words. Actions were the only thing that mattered. Flying to the scene, Reimu stopped, and stared harshly at the metallic enemies before them.

Artificial, fake, lacking a soul, these robots were little less then murderous dolls. Reimu had never encountered such things of the outside world, Gensokyo was a land of magic. Could her spiritual attacks even work on amortal beings? These...things weren't natural at all, a blight to spirituality.

Protect...the Asgardians. Well, then. Reimu took out a spellcard, and called out its name to activate it. The earthly medium that was the card dimmed its power, it took no preparations, and Reimu guessed that easier use was a good trade for lost power.

The spell card activated, and suddenly, a barrier appeared in several areas, protecting those who hid behind it. Reimu began to take her spell cards out, ready to battle. She wasn't a Hakurei, protecter of the Great Hakurei Barrier, after all. Now, time for the offensive.

"Persuasion Needle!"
Activating another spell card, a stack's worth of long, red needles appeared behind Reimu, and in her hands. She began throwing them at the robots, indiscriminate. These needles usually had spiritual power behind the physical power as well, but Reimu wasn't sure if they would really...work with robots, so she just went with throwing sharp things instead.

Gun shots empowered by his stolen Holy Relic flew towards a number of the bears, as well as a single bullet aimed for the robot who'd shot at them. In addition, a number of chains appeared out of Shirou's right arm, seeking to ensnare and tear apart any of the Monokuma units it could find.

With the combined efforts of the Asgardians, Milla, Billy, and Chise, the droids thinned considerably, but there seemed to be a lot more milling about outside the immediate area. They were like cockroaches milling about, crawling over Asgard like an infestation. Milla felt satisfied when she saw that Reimu's attack was the addition they needed to make a path inside the palace.

Z05lggk.png

"I sense that there is something we may be missing," she said, turning her head to the others. She then jumped forward, bisecting a droid in two. Water danced around her blade and shot out, throwing more droids away in a wave. "These are just the foot troops. Something bigger is likely waiting."

Milla led the way inside the palace, coming into a grand hall where the fighting was more hectic due to the close quarters. Gunfire, lasers, and cries of war echoed around the group. The palace structure was holding strong, even as lasers peppered the room.

There were less Asgardians inside, but the droids were focused largely on one man in particular. Clad in fanciful armour and wielding a large hammer, the man shredded through the droids easily, throwing his hammer around the room and causing lightning to arc from droid to droid, destroying them. He paused for a moment and turned to Milla and the others, looking intrigued.

"Yeaaaaargh!!"

Skurge joined the fray alongside the others, firing at the robot army from afar with his machine guns. Perhaps unexpectedly enough however, the bears were able to take a surprising amount of hits before going down, when some might have expected them to go down like rats. Over the group's communication link, transmitting from Knowhere, the voice of Ollerus, a certain Coalition Ally who had run into them during a certain earlier incident, could be heard in their ear.

"According to these energy readings, the army and their leader have been infused with a material making them exponentially stronger called... err..." Ollerus began, before the shuffling of paper could be heard over the comm link, "... Fuse."

"And just how is this Fuse material making them stronger?!" Riesbyfe replied on her end.

"Who can say? It just works," Ollerus's voice responded. One could practically imagine him shrugging in a noncommittal manner. "I'm just relaying what the actual Coalition members are saying while they're busy directing other areas. How should I know what Fuse is? In any case, they're just a little stronger than they ought to be, so do try a little better than your best, yes?"

"Easy for you to say!"

"It is, isn't it?"

To that end, even HK-47 himself seemed able to hold off the shots that came his way, particularly protecting his otherwise more vulnerable spots with his arm, before attempting to counter Cagliostro by firing his own deliberate sniper shots at her, and regardless of his success or failure, topped it off with a shot of carbonite energy from his wrist, a material like ice intent on putting a deathly cold freeze to the alchemist's steed.

"Commentary: What a quaint vehicle. Perhaps it shall be put to better use under my care!" The orange droid exclaimed in the midst of battle. From there, he diverted his aim to Shirou next, firing a handful of blasts at him next.

Meanwhile, as Reiner might have tried to get up close and personal to the leader, something perhaps a bit unexpected happened.

HK-47 was successful as Cagliostro was shot repeatedly, brain, heart and vitals, causing her corpse to fall off her steed as it bled, glass-like cracks forming where the wounds were.

But the Ouroborocycle, after being encased in carbonite, spun around as cracks began to form around the silvery casing, cracking it successfully as it continued to spin.

As it spun, it charged an attack above it, turning HK-47's attention towards it as it justified itself as a great threat, before the droid commander's feet were swiftly encased in a thick casing of rock that was from a different source.

80px-Ability_Nucleosynthesis.png

Emerging from where the rock casing was, HK-47, starting from the legs and up, would feel his atoms being shredded and heavy damage being dealt to his body. Additionally, the Fuse that was present in his body would slowly but surely be converted into a comparatively weaker crystal lattice sulfur.

Traditionally, it was used to give his allies a simple signal, even from long distances... Or draw the attention of titans, but right now, he was using it to buy himself a little time, even as he narrowly sidestepped Clark being thrown his way, being very carefull not to fall off of the bridge.

Concentrating as hard as he could... He prepared to try something risky.

His left hand suddenly hardened further, accompanied by his nails sprouting into sharp, crystaline claws. Though he had to be much more conservative with his powers... The time he spent in the metaverse had allowed him to further hone his hardening ability, allowing him to focus it on specific areas, while still maintaining his armor.

It was then that he felt something crawling up the legs on his titan body, and even without looking... He could tell what it most likely was; those robot bear things from before.

"Shit, they're swarming me! I have to shake them off...!" Reiner thought quietly.

If he could say something, he would... But in his titan body, conventional speech wasn't exactly possible. He would have to improvise.

Staring down the hulking Monokuma who was preparing to wrestle with him... He decided to try and kill two birds with one stone.

With one, swift motion... He charged forwards to meet the big bear with his own strength, putting alot of force into his movements as he attempted to shake off the smaller bears climbing his titan body.

Though he wasn't sure if even the strength of his titan was enough to push the bear back... At the very least, when he was locked into wrestling with this bear, he had an opportunity to take a swipe at the bear's eyes with his hardened, clawed hand. The distinct blue color made it considerably more durable than the armor his titan naturally produced, but would it be enough to overcome the kind of power this 'fuse' substance granted his foes?

❝ Oh great, so that just means I have to put more effort into my magic after all! ❞ The Witch verbally expressed her dismay with that development involving their robotic foes being enhanced by Fuse. For a moment, she glanced at her prosthetic left arm, but shook her head. She didn't need to use that right now. She only needed to ramp up her magic. It seemed impossible to have an endless amount of Monokuma robots, so it was only a matter of seeing how long all of those would last. Even letting one get too close to the Observatory meant more trouble for them in the long run.

❝ ... cover me! I need a few minutes to charge up mana. I'm planning to take care of the small fry in one fell swoop, so we can focus on the bigger problems sooner than later! ❞ Lapis clenched one of her magically-charged crystals in her hand before applying it to her prosthetic left hand. By doing so, a faint glyph appeared in front of her as she held her left hand out, applying her own mana to charge up some form of powerful magic attack. Just like she said, she needed a few minutes before this would be ready, so she couldn't afford to break focus by defending herself at the same time.

Maeve caught her dagger and placed it back on her belt before following, taking one last look at the cave entrance. Was Destruction really the path they wanted to take?

"I'm betting we run into a huge monster or something. I hope it's a giant bird. I'm kind of hungry."

"Cosmo prefer no monster. Big or otherwise." The group continued down the destruction path where the cave like interior started to change into something more man made as the walls became smoother and with torches, which surprisingly were burning despite the fact that no one had supposedly been here for a very long time.

The path suddenly opened into a vast room full of smiting equipment. Anvils, hammers and furnaces, that again were burning. "I thought you said this place was long abandoned, doggy." Bayonetta replied as she stepped into the giant area.

"Cosmo was lead to believe so." With uneasy steps Cosmo ventured further. "Cosmo suggest beink careful. Not know what might happen."

As Heimdall said, it wouldn't take long for the forests to lead off into a passageway through a cliff, which seemed to have remained untouched until very recently. "The Asgardian citizens are safe within a stronghold," the guardian said as they continued on through. "They should be completely safe from enemy fire here."

They finally arrived at a large door covered in intricate carvings. "This is it," Heimdall said, opening the door. "Allow me a moment to check on them. Stay out here and guard the door for now." And with that, he was gone, leaving the group to their own devices.

Bzzzzzzz...

"..."

Bzzzzzzzzz...

"...hmph."

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

The insects from the bridge remained even still, now buzzing in the faces of the group gathered outside. Jack grit his teeth, trying to maintain his patience for as long as he could, until he finally gave in.

Smack! Jack slapped his arm, catching one of the bugs on his arm, before hissing and shaking his hand. "What the...huh?" He looked down at his hand, clearly confused. As he rightfully should be, as where one would expect to see the gross innards of a bug, sat a few tiny nuts and bolts. In fact...a closer look at the remaining bugs revealed that they were not actually bugs at all, but rather...

"Tiny bears with...video cameras? What in tarnation are these things?"

The door to the stronghold swung open, and Heimdall rushed out, a look of dread on his face. "I knew something was amiss," he whispered. "We were being followed this entire time!"

"Upupu..." A sinister laugh echoed through the cliffside, louder and closer than anyone would be comfortable with. From the shadows stepped forward more of those same bears, some of them dressed in military uniforms.

Bears in riot gear manned the frontlines.

Bears with bomb-filled backpacks lined the sides.

Bears wearing jetpacks and flamethrowers flew in the skies.

But the majority of bears were in no special clothing, but made up for it in sheer numbers. These bears made up an entire army, outnumbering not only the entire group, but more than likely even the Asgardians.

Heimdall drew his sword. "They're here for a massacre," he said. "Ready to slaughter every man, woman, and child behind that door in a complete bloodbath!"

"Well, they ain't gonna get that pleasure." Jack readied a baseball bat, eyeing the creatures. "I said I was gonna protect the people here, and that's what I'm gonna do!"

"Don't worry your little glass head, doggo. Maeve will protect you. Just stay out of my way, okay?"

The thief walked by Cosmo, passing him slightly and yawning a bit. Sure they started to venture deeper into the Destruction path but that just meant more spoils and even bigger rewards when she finished this mission.
