In an attempt to reduce the amount of bears they would have to deal with, Lapis mustered up the power to produce a towering curved crystal wall in front of her and her allies nearest to the Observatory. Of all the times for her flask to be empty.

Scrapper closed her eyes the second she saw that mural, a horrible combination of grief and shame churning her stomach. Coming back here had been a terrible idea, but the nagging voice of reason in the back of herind was telling her that she needed to. She'd planned on saving her Asgard, back then, but failed miserably. Maybe now she had the chance...?

Of course, that meant opening the door first. She attempted to push it open, but doubted it'd be so easy. Maybe it needed a password? She started rattling off the names of all three runes she encountered on carvings so far, before taking a deep breath and, saying with a quieter voice, "...Valkyrie."

Titus' onslaught decimated the bear forces, tearing the little machines down as if they were actually stuffed teddy bears. Though as he did so, Titus would notice that they were a bit more...resiliant than they looked, and some of them required two hits to take them down for good. Said double tapping was provided by Jack, who had followed behind the Space Marine and finished the robots off when they had managed to survive. On the ends of both weapons was a strange fluid, icy blue and glowing brilliantly. "Almost like these bears are bleedin'..." Jack commented. He didn't feel all that sorry for them, though, as immediately after he swung down on another.

Meanwhile, Broly's attack shook the bombers. Though it wasn't enough to kill them on its own, the scream activated the bombs, which exploded and destroyed not only the bombers themselves, but any bears close enough. Heimdall had remained at the door, taking down any and all stragglers before they could do any damage. Between the four men, the army was decimated, unable to do any real damage other than the occasional scratch...though with armor and physique of these four, it didn't do much.

But even so, Heimdall sensed something else. Had there not been others among them? Where were-

And that was when he saw it. Away from the fight, on the other side of the pathway, was Ryan. He had been ambushed by a small group of the bears, only these ones were different.

Scrapper was starting to regret coming on this little excursion. But this thief gave her an opportunity: if she was so preoccupied with slaying these beasts, that left the door completely free. So, the Asgardian opted out of the fight, instead slipping off into the shadows of the sidelines to get to that door. Big guys like these would need some big firepower, right?

"THEY ARE FLANKING US WITH ABOMINATIONS."

Amidst a hurricane of squealing metal and flames, Titus was able to spot the opening in the allied defense as the disfigured 'mutants' hurdled over the body of one of his comrades to reach the door. The marine swiftly changed his focus, leveraging the weight of the Thunder Hammer to sweep over the few remaining bears that attempted to mob him, outright obliterating their top-halves with ease and creating a clear opening between Titus and the flanking creatures.

He gauged the distance. A split-second decision hatched in his mind, and his iron grip on the thunder hammer loosened. Now holding it with one hand, the Space Marine lumbered back by about a meter, managing to build momentum in the hammer as he slowly swung it back-and-forth like a pendulum with a single hand.

Then, it was in the air.

The hammer-wielding hand of Titus swung upward in a burst of energy, freeing the Thunder Hammer of his grasp at the apex of his swing, causing the massive hammer to go hurdling directly upwards, spinning as it went like a twirling baton. Like fluid, the motion in his throwing arm transferred to his other arm seamlessly as it began to lift upward in tune with the hammer's ascent. It was this startling movement that highlighted what made this hand different from his other hand.

Titus' gauntlet upon this raising hand was far larger than his other, looking more like an oversized metallic fist then an adequately armored gauntlet. Strangely, in the same way as his hammer, the fist was adorned with gilded runes of Imperial regalia that signified it as more of a weapon than a mere piece of armor.

The aerial hammer's weight didn't allow it much air-time as, soon after Titus hurdled it into the air, it soon began to plummet back down upon the Space Marine. He spared no glance to the falling hammer, and instead took a cautionary step back and folded the thick fingers of his oversized gauntlet inwards, forming a tight fist. It began to crackle and hum with cerulean energy, encased in a dazzling field of lightning.

The plummeting hammer was a blur for everyone else. What was he doing?

For Titus, the world stopped.

The hammer was in front of him, clearly moving but not fast enough to elude his senses. It was about a meter above the ground, prepared to slam into the Earth and send him hurtling away from the civilians he intended to protect. It did not do this, at least not yet; the world around the Space Marine moved as if he was viewing it from behind a wall of water. It was muddled into formless shapes and impressions of movement, but he knew what these shapes meant.

He waits for a moment, as his eyes draw a straight line that pierced himself, the hammer, and a trio of junk-ridden bears that primed themselves to surround Heimdall. Air filled his lungs, and his arm cocked back like a taut bowstring.

The wall of water subsided, and the world began to move as one - and Titus moved with it.

BOOM!

The Space Marine's charged fist snapped forward, slamming into the hammer's stony head just before it hit the ground. A thunderclap, trapped in a single unit of time, filled the arena as the two fields of energy clashed together, one supported by gravity and the other by Titus' sheer strength. The fist won the battle of kinetics, as the hammer's falling momentum transferred into blinding horizontal speed, spinning back towards the flanking monstrosities as Titus quite literally punched the hammer towards them.

The Thunder Hammer's spinning field of electricity thundered like a weapon that had always belonged on Asgard, turning into an unstoppable chakram of destruction that slammed through the Junk Monokuma's with no sign of slowing down. The aberrant bears could usually withstand gratuitous punishment; yet the spinning hammer obliterated several them in a single strike, rendering their bodies to hardly-recognizable motes of simmering dust and scraps of metal.

Titus' spinning hammer finally ended the path of mayhem when it impacted with a wall near Ryan's body, the old stone barely managing to avoid shattering like glass when the hammer's head embedded itself firmly into the solid body. The civilians standing behind said wall could feel the vibrations shaking the foundations of their safe space; fortunately, it stood firm and free of any impending threats.

Ryan, in his near-death state, was treated to the sight of a spinning death-hammer nearly taking his head off. The ground beneath him shook as something large, and heavy approached, the imposing silhouette of Captain Titus standing over his body and staring down at him through the glowing crimson eyes of his helmet.

At least until he took the helmet off, and his free hand reached over and tore the hammer free from the wall with a single tug. Titus stuffed the weapon away on his back, deciding that it had suffered more than enough combat for this battle.

3KtPj9v.png

"So, the Coalition is sending civilians to war now?" Titus spoke with a scowl as he scornfully looked down at the boy's body. He thought it a corpse until his ears picked up on a fading heartbeat in the boy's chest. By the Emperor, he's still alive?

"Breathe, boy. The Warp shall not take you yet."

Titus stored his helmet away on his belt, reaching out to grab Ryan by the arm. With one tug, he hoisted the wounded one over his pauldron-clad shoulder. It wasn't a very comfortable or flattering position, but it wasn't like Ryan was in any state to complain.

Titus gave the battlefield a cursory glance. The violence had subsided for the time being, save for the few bears had remained, but Titus was far too old to suspect that this would be the last wave. His thumping footfalls soon approached the Guardian himself. "Heimdall, are you wounded?"

Titus didn't wait for a reply, swiftly raising his storm bolter to crack off several explosive shots towards a trio of approaching bears as he spoke.

"We've thinned the horde for the time being, but they know where your people are now. We were only barely able to hold this position against this wave; I don't think we'll be so fortunate when the next one arrives."

"You have to relocate your people now, or we have to call for reinforcements," he urged, hoisting Ryan again. "And a medic."

Courier Six

James, known as Courier Six, approached the fight from an elevated position. Taking a moment to watch the battle as it went on. Most notably seeing a man in blue armor, almost like power armor, but much bigger. Like a man the size of a Super Mutant. Still, taking in the situation of the battle itself, it was clear that he was an ally. James grabbed his Anti-Material Rifle and loaded it with .50 MG Armor Piercing Rounds and chambers the first bullet inside the magazine.

He takes a moment to pick his target as well as the number of targets in the area. For now, he did not fire. Instead, he decided to provide cover for the Space Marine. Being ready to target any enemy coming near him or any other ally. He also had Maria loaded already. Yet, at times he wished that some of his companions were around. Like ED-E or maybe Craig Boone, the former NCR 1st Recon Sniper. Yet, he then noticed the injured individual.

This was certainly not his usual place, but he had learned much from his former companions and that was helping him a lot right now.

Ryan didn't really remember much, but being filleted by robotic bears- and the blood he tasted in his mouth. He closed his eyes, his consciousness slipping as memories of Aaron and him danced in his head. The trips to 7/11, jamming out in his bedroom, hanging with Adam. A small smile fell on his lips as the darkness consumed him.

He felt himself get lifted, still barely there as someone grabbed him.

Everything was dead quiet for a moment before it felt like the entire room started to shake as the door slowly opened in front of Scrapper. Despite it opening she could only see a pitch black darkness staring back at her.

As the door had opened one of the trolls fighting Bayonetta had realized what was happening and broke off making its way towards Scrapper with its club held high.

Before it could attack her a blast of powerful energy emerged from the darkness and sent it flying backwards.

From the darkness emerged a towering figure clad head to toe in armor. It briefly looked over to Scrapper placing its arm over its chest as a form of greeting before making its way towards the troll it had blasted.

"Friend of yours?!" Bayonetta shouted to Scrapper as she had placed the lonely troll she had been fighting into a torture rack of some sort. Where had she pulled that one from??

With the combined efforts of Clark's heat vision and Reiner's second wind, the giant Monokuma could do nothing but vibrate violently, its armor quickly giving way to the combined attacks until its core was exposed and damaged, unable to push back either of them with its attention divided. With that, its massive body fell off the bridge, sinking into the stream of water below!

At that point however, it seemed most of the bears remaining managed to break toward the Observatory, rushing forward and aggressively attacking those inside (though some still tried to overwhelm Reiner, trying to crawl up his body by digging their razor-sharp claws into his skin). Skurge was having a pointedly difficult time fending off the robots swarming him, so it was up to Riesbyfe to protect Lapis, bashing aside every Monokuma that slipped past the girl's crystal wall with her shield.

"Are you alright, young miss?! L-Linato, was it? Or Rapis...?" Riesbyfe said, mixing up the girl's two names just a little bit, "Looks like their numbers are letting up just a little bit, but even so, be sure not to let your guard down! Give it all you've got!"

...

Meanwhile, HK-47, still seemingly trapped in place, stared down at Cagliostro, still unflinching, if only because he lacked the capacity to do that much as a droid, following what he was ordered to do without any waver.

"Commentary: It is quite regretful that its true value was minimal in that case, but if not that piece of scrap, I still intend on making a trophy out of at least one corpse here," it said briskly, before activating what looked like a blow torch embedded inside his wrist as Cagliostro spoke, swiftly burning through his own legs to free himself from the rock casing, letting him slide prone on the ground, letting him narrowly evade the so-called fire!

Like a sniper taking position, he aimed his versatile rifle at Cagliostro without pausing for a single moment, seeming to try for a last all or nothing gambit, the droid quickly changed the setting on his weapon before pulling the trigger a few times, shooting explosive plasma shots right at the alchemist! Following that, he also followed up by throwing grenades with a free hand that rolled over to her position, but instead of exploding, they emitted a green gas that one could surmise to be poisonous, as though to hoping to coerce Cagliostro to get even closer or even further away.

Spreading his arms out, Clark pushed the bear's paws away from crushing him, Look at Reiner as tried head butting and grappling the bear, Clark pop out of the robot's hand, and tried to Heat vision it's body at close range. Hopefully distracting the bear and helping the titian.

It was a strange feeling... To be going through these motions he had initially practised to demolish a wall, and consequently get hundreds of thousands killed, would be used to help save lives.

This was the reason he had chosen to join Lapis today though.

He enjoyed this. He enjoyed truly playing the role of a hero, despite the circumstances.

Though as he watched the giant metallic bear slowly sink into the water below, he sighed in relief, believing the worst to be over. At least until the tremods he could feel throughout his titan body reminded him of the smaller mechanical creatures that were making its way into the observatory.

He got rid of one of their biggest threats, but there was still the small fry to take care off, and he knew full well his titan was too big to fit into the observatory.

WC7zBY4.png

"No... I made her a promise! I-..." Reiner's thought trailed off as he thought quickly.

Moving towards the observatory as fast as his titan body could carry him, he screeched to a stop near its entrance, taking a side swipe at HK-47 with his foot as he passed them by, quickly flashing both Clark and Cagliostro a thumbs up.

As if to say "I got this".

The whole time he was running, he attempted to slap at the bear creatures on his titan body. And though he knew it would be inevitably compromised, he tried to keep them clear of his nape, shaking off as many as he could along the way.

The magic Cagliostro had cast certainly helped in this endeavor, as it amplified his regenerative abilities, buying him precious time to try to shake off those robots as he ran.

Once he reached the entrance of the observatory, he let out a defeaning roar as he took a risk, popping open the armored plate around his nape as he leaped out of his titan body, allowing it to fall backwards onto the swarm of metallic bears surging into the Observatory, hoping to buy those inside some time as he used his 3d Maneuver gear to grapple his way over the Monokuma's and join the fight against the bears inside, beginning to open fire with his machinegun.

UQ1YV5b.png

"Over here, you bastards!" He shouted defiantly.

Seeing the barrier Lapis put up, and how badly Skurge was being overwhelmed by the bears, he sought to draw their attention towards him. It was a risky move, especially after he had transformed into a titan not too long ago, but Reiner seemed intent on making sure the bears did not harm those inside the Observatory too badly.

Even if his breathing seemed a little unsteady, and there were distinct markings around his eyes... He was determined to keep fighting, as hardy as these bears might be.

While the crystals would not veil HK-47, they grew and hardened as they were generated on the Rainbow Bridge as walls and barriers.

"You know, I was thinking the same thing. I wonder how your head will look in my collection."

Cagliostro raised the arm containing the 'flame', creating a double-layered frontal shield that blocked the bullets. When the explosive shots came, the first shield layer seemed to be scrambled, which was when she opted to generate the melanite-like structures that erected from the ground, the spiky crystal emerging as well as walling the explosive shots as Cagliostro commanded the solid barrier to move towards HK-47, with any pieces that chipped off from the explosions regrowing rapidly, towards HK-47.

Cagliostro stepped back when HK-47 unleashed his poisons.

"Tch. Ouroboros, devour all!"

With that, two serpents, crystalline in body and ethereal in aura, burst from the toxic clouds as they spun about, devouring all the poison gas before it could spread across and affect Cagliostro and the others.

80px-Ability_Arcana_Evolution.png

They circled around Cagliostro, boosting the attack and defense of her and all surrounding allies, and also boosting the power and critical hit ratio of dark elemental attacks, provided they had any. These Serpents then growled at HK-47 as a similiar 'flame' to Cagliostro's appeared at the entrances of their mouths.

Npc_zoom_3040120000_02.png

"Tsk tsk tsk. Are you ready for a real show from a real genius? Ouroboros, let's do this!"

Ouroboros' two bodies in addition to Cagliostro unleashed a triple blast of false flames, creating those crystalline structures once more with blasts that worked their way towards the droid from three different zigzagging directions as opposed to directly aiming at him, the only directions not covered being those that the still-growing crystals have already covered on the road!

"Grughh--grugghh--GRAAGHHH!"
Broly snarled like an animal, sizing up the new threat. Something about the new units seemed to infuriate him. He didn't like the way they looked at him. He didn't like the way that look threatened him. He didn't like the way they jeopardized his hopes of returning home. He couldn't allow them to live. He couldn't allow them to get in his way. He couldn't let them breach the fortress. He couldn't---

"GRAAGHHH--ARRGGHH--GARRRAAAAAHHH!!!"

Consumed by a blinding fury, Broly lacked to the capacity to focus on Heimdall's protection or Ryan's rescue. All he could do was carve through the horde the best he could, using what little sanity he still possessed to draw the fighting away from the doors. Grabbing two of the SWAT bears- one in either hand- Broly clotheslined his was through the first line of troops, before throwing his captives into the nearest cliff face. Next, in a flash of white light, he came to a sudden stop, transferring the energy of his charge into a mighty clap. A rippling shock-wave soared across the clearing. Scraping a mighty arm through the rocks at his feet, he sent a way wave of stone and dirt tumbling towards the bears on his left flank, followed by a frantic downwards sledgehammer punch towards those on his left. He finished his combo with a heavy, earth shattering ground pound.

"GUUUHHHHH------GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

With a howl, his Ki rose and overflowed, his Blaster Shell barrier leaping from his flesh and burning its way through the rising cloud of dust. From the barrier leaped a stunning green kiai razor wind, the volume of which was only matched by Broly's next scream.

"GRUUUUGGGGGGGGHH---GOOOOOOOOOOOOO----AWWWAAAYYYYYY!!!!"

Hela laughed devilishly, not even turning to the shinobi as bone matter burst forth from the ground beneath him, cutting off his line of assault. Hela's eyes seemed to glow as a kind of force emanated from her. It grew around her in a circle, catching everyone nearby. They felt a buzzing in their heads, as if Hela herself was inside them, gnawing away. Milla grunted in pain, unsure what this meant. "She is exceedingly powerful," she said through gritted teeth.

"That is true," Hela said. "And I see all."

eOTwhon.jpg

The woman moved at an incredible speed, forming barbed swords around her and tossing them at the group. Milla swung her sword to block what came her way but grunted when one sword cut across her shoulder. Many of the swords clashed with Reimu's barrier, threatening to destroy it.

Thor yelled and tossed his hammer at Hela, but she was quick to counter it. Her hand came out, grabbing it, causing Thor to reel from the sight. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out as he watched Hela easily crush the hammer in her hands.

"Pathetic. Move aside."

A great blast of energy emanated from the woman, tossing everyone into the air. Hela stepped forward casually to move past the group, swords spinning around her like a tornado.

"She's going for the vault," Thor grunted.

Maeve was a blur, dodging and slashing at her enemy. The troll's big and slow atacks were useless, as was his big spiky club. The thief ducked low and slid on her knees as she bent backwards and let one of the beast's swings graze her chest. The former Paladin was up fast, digging a dagger into the troll's heel and forcing him down on one knee.

She then climbed onto his back and grabbed two more daggers from her coat before stabbing them deep into each side of the monster's head. The troll dropped his club and let out a pained scream before falling over, dead. Maeve tore her weapons from her victim's brains before cleaning them off on his body.

"One down, two to go!"

Maeve's plan was sound on paper if not for the rock trolls durable hide. The first dagger strike to its heel drew blood but the thick hide meant it didn't go in that far.

She was however faster than the troll and as she avoided another attack and climbed up its back. Again the daggers hit their mark causing the troll to shriek out in pain. Realizing it wouldn't be able to reach Maeve by just using its hands it instead dropped to the ground back first in an attempt to crush her under its weight.

Maeve used the troll's momentum to kick herself off and zip free just as it came crashing down. She landed on its exposed torso and rolled off, reclaiming her daggers and twirling them in her hands.

"Rock trolls? Nobody said these were rock trolls! How can I eat a rock!?"

Wolf grunted as he stumbled backward from the sudden change of terrain. He planted his right foot on the ground and caught himself, keeping his weapon taut in front of him. His face remained relatively unphased as the buzzing invaded his mind, finding it to be merely a trivial form of Terror. He tightened his grip on his sword as Hela got closer to the vault, realizing that if she obtained what was inside, then the mission would be a failure. Even if it meant death, he would not disappoint the Divine Heir.

He tried to move forward, but had to halt himself suddenly in order to deflect the swords that threatened to take his life. He masterfully deflected each one, vibrant orange sparks flying off his weapon. He continued his pursuit, apparently not understanding the implications of how easy it was for Hela to destroy Thor's hammer. As he was tossed into the air, he stabilized himself again and managed to land on his feet harmlessly like a cat. He wasted no time, sprinting toward Hela in spite of her sword tornado. "Face me..." he muttered in contempt, quickly sheathing Kusabimaru and drawing the cursed sword from his back-- the Mortal Blade. A thick, red mist plagued the air around it as it was lifted from its sheathe, a unique trait of a sword that can hurt even those with immortal blood.

Sekiro slowed down in order to focus the attack, angling his strike on the left and placing his synthetic hand against the blade temporarily. As he did so, the mist's intensity rose, spitting a wrathful, crimson substance like an erupting volcano. Wolf removed his hand as it reached the peak of its power, and he followed up by swiping the sword to the right, slicing through the air (and presumably Hela's blades) several feet in front of him. The slash would leave a mark on the air itself for a few seconds as he prepared yet another strike and slashed a second time in the opposite direction.

"Is just name," Cosmo's voice echoed into Maeve's head as he avoided a club swing from one of the trolls. "Cosmo think not made out of rock, but still hard to pierce, da?"

"If you are having problems getting to the good parts luv,"
Bayonetta stood triumphantly over what seemed to be the lower half of one of the trolls. "Aim for the squishy bits."

"I can tell. Thanks for telling me the obvi-"
Reimu's snarky comment was broken along with her barrier, as she fell to the ground after getting more then grazed by a sword. Although the rest of swords luckily missed her, Reimu understood this 'Hela', and just how malicious and strong she was. She must be a Goddess of death and evil. Can that even be considered divine, or was she now just an exceptionally powerful demon?

Neveraless, Reimu had to defeat her. If she couldn't defend that Great Spirit, dare say, this world, or maybe even Gensokyo, would go into further chaos. But how? That was the question. Reimu could feel Hela's powers radiate, over power Thor's power. Reimu facing her, was like if a normal human tried facing Yukari.

But she had to try. Reimu activated a card: Fantasy Nature. Basically an intangiability spell with a time limit. This was Reimu's true nature. That carefree, eternally casual way of going through life? It was also capable of going though reality itself. Reimu hovered up. She seem tangible, but was unaffected by anything in the field.

"And we can't let her go for the vault! So we have to make her stop! Come on, we have to distract her, or break her armour or something! Does she have even have any weak points?"

"Ahaha! This sure is a real mess. But it's kinda fun, ain't it?"

Shirou kept the same smirk on his face as things seemed to turn for the worse, his chains whirling around to capture some of the bears close to him and rip them to pieces. His gunfire continued exploding into needles to continue to whittle down their numbers. Making use of Lapis's wall, it was pretty easy to aim at them and funnel his weapons at their choke points since they had to bypass that first to get to them.

To that end, he actually fired his gun a few times at the edges of Lapis's wall. This time his bullets weren't possessed with the power to pierce and harm, but instead transferred a property of his to the edges of the wall. Chains would erupt from the areas of the wall that had been shot, lashing out and dragging in the Monokumas like a jellyfish trying to eat. Once it pulled any to the wall, the wall would open up into an iron maiden, crushing the bears that it had taken hold of.

It wasn't long before the entire army was completely demolished, leaving only gears, scrap, and the occasional ball of stuffing. The army here had clearly underestimated the men who had undertaken this mission...or perhaps they didn't care. After all, the abominations had laughed as they had been destroyed. Perhaps they had achieved their goal after all? It was hard to say.

Heimdall turned to Titus as he was addressed, pullong his sword from a bear's broken body. "Save for a few scratches, I am fine. What matters is that the people of Asgard are safe...but that young man, he needs help immediately."

"We got us a doctor around here?" Jack asked, looking at the blue liquid on his bat with a grimace.

"I am sure we could heal him...but it is as Titus says. We need to evacuate the civilians immediately. This attack...I get the feeling that whoever is behind it wants these people dead." Heimdall looked up out into the distance, as if searching for something. "The observatory. They are nearing the end of their own skirmish. If we could lead the Asgardians there, I could evacuate them to Bifrost until this is all over." Heimdall opened the doors, revealing hundreds of people within huddled together, no doubt terrified of what they heard outside. "We have a small window of time now," he said. "Let us hurry."

"Can't say I've ever seen him," Scrapper replied. "But if he can take care of the rock trolls for us I won't complain."

Hela chose to not acknowledge the shinobi, even as he built up his attack. The goddess' overpowering aura allowed her to see all around her, and so she was hardly surprised that Wolf's blade cut through her swords. Her hand shot out like a bullet, grabbing the blade before it pierced her. The overwhelming force of the blade clashed against Hela, causing her aura to pick up in intensity and create a bigger burst of energy around her.

Milla held up her arms to block the force weighing down on her. "There's something more to her, something pushing her beyond her limits!"

Thor growled and ran forward, but was pushed back when Hela tossed Wolf aside with a flick of her wrist. The woman only laughed as she lifted her arms and created sledgehammers that pounded the ground around her. The floor crumbled and she fell below. "We must follow!" Milla yelled, jumping after along with Thor.
