" I've never heard of a wolf skin before, but you kind of remind me a cute dog...." he replied, frowning when he said he couldn't pet him. He decided to totally- 100% respect- wait, what was Wade doing? "Sorry, Mr. Writer guy," he said, petting Keaton's ears despite being told not too.

Will continued to walk, summoning War Song and looking down at the path ahead. Her blade lit the way forwards, coating the area in a bright violet light.

"This city is empty. I can hear the cries of the dead in my heart. What evil could do something so callous?"

"A wolf Taguel, huh?" Severa stepped up to Keaton, looking him over. "The only one I know is a rabbit. You know any rabbit Taguels? Or is Taguel just the name the rabbit ones use, since you call yourself a Wolfskin." Yarne would probably be thrilled to know another beastperson was here...or, no, scratch that. If he knew Keaton was a wolf, he'd be terrified. Ugh.

Though Corrin's comment did earn a raised eyebrow. "Uh, my name is Severa, with a V. Not Selena. And do I know you?" Assuming she was this 'Selena' being referred or whatever. Hopefully she was. Because if Selena was someone else entirely...Gods, that'd be embarrassing.

Mason finally relaxed. Between Touma, Ben, Corrin, and Keaton, a smile returned to his face. "Thank you, Corrin. But more than just a sword, I have a friend." For a moment, he could block out the smell of the dead world around him.

"Friend of yours from home? I should visit your world sometime. Seems like you have some interesting characters. Nice to meet you, Keaton. I'm Mason. You're not the first wolf-like guy I've met."

Though when Wade began petting Keaton, Mason grabbed the back of his collar and tugged.

"C'mon, Wade. He said no. Do I need to get a spray bottle to keep you off of him?"

A tall, light skinned man strode in with the group as a replacement for men who were lost. Although, he was not too accustomed to this. No. Nope. Even after having done all of the "time-travel" back in Spain, seeing and meeting figures of the future that in his timeline, are people who weren't even born, it was normal to him. But this, seeing a city so dilapidated, and nobody even there except the group of newcomers that, to him, were also strange because of how.. different, they were, it made him shudder a bit. He looked at the sky, and yet at the entire scene in front of him and could only mutter. "Dios mío..." All Alonso was able to do was bless himself through a Sign of the Cross, and tip his hat to, what he felt, was the dread and loss in this place.

"This place... It is not Heaven, yet it is not Hell. What is it... Or how you say... Where are we?" He spoke through a heavy, Spanish accent characteristic of being from Seville.

Wade would frown at Mason and would pull him back. He did feel slightly bad about what he had done.

"
Sorry, had two dogs and lost them. One died for me ( which makes no sense since it was like me) and the other had to go back to the government. Turns out that I'm not over either of them. But a spray bottle might help. I prefer orange juice to water."

"H-Hey, look, I'm a healthy young man with all the time in the world to dream! Nothing wrong with liking cute girls, especially at my age!" Touma exclaimed toward Ben and Severa, though... come to think of it, the three of them were roughly around the same age, weren't they? How convenient. If the multiverse was a better place, maybe they could have been just normal kids attending a normal school, living a normal life. But circumstances were never that simple.

As the banter between the group went on, Touma let out a sigh and rested his arms behind his head, musing on what Deoxys had said.

"A mind void of vulnerability, huh? I wonder if that even is possible..." Touma murmured almost absent-mindedly, looking up at the desolate sky, "This place is nothing but complete evil and darkness, from how the Coalition describes it at least, and yet some people find salvation in that darkness. If people could shut away their insecurities so easily, there wouldn't be any use for this place..."

"... but then again, I've never believed in absolute good and evil. After all the people I've fought, even Othinus especially, I still don't. It's just a matter of perception, and some people..." The boy clenched his fist, determination returning to his face, "... need their delusions of some godlike entity saving them to be broken, so they can save themselves."

"That was very touching, Touma Kamijou. Did you rehearse that in your head beforehand?" The voice of Fiamma of the Right came from the comm link to say to Touma.

"S-Shut up!"

"I'm flattered you think so highly of me, human, but it won't do much to curry favor with me," Othinus's voice also chimed in from the comm link.

"A mind void of emotional vulnerability? Is that even... possible?"

Ben ponders at Deoxys' words, then shakes his head.

"Well, I guess the best defense we can muster is a clear mind... or a steel mind... or a mind with happy thoughts only... well, either way, I'm gonna make sure whatever thingy's lurking here doesn't pop my entire rogues' gallery in my face...

... but if our fears end up manifesting, we'll just have to do to them literally what we should've done to them metaphotically - face them."

Ben's comment made Schala smile a little, giving her some much needed confidence that allowed her to keep her mind clear... At least for now.

"Yes. If it is unavoidable we must face our fears... We'll face them together." She said.

There was a brief pause as she flushed a little red at what Severa called Touma, mixed in with a feeling of confusion.

"S-Skirt... Chaser...?" She asked, suddenly seeming a little self conscious about the fact that she was wearing a dress.

Fortunately, she was saved from this awkward moment by the arrival of a newcomer, to which she instantly greeted with an answer to his question. Of course, she didn't know the full story about the Silent Earth, but she knew enough to at least give him an idea what they were up against.

"This place. We call it, Silent Earth. Terrible things once transpired here, and the Malevolence from those things must still linger in the air." She said, pausing a little as she looked over her surroundings, seeming a little fearfull again.

"But we must not let our own fears get in the way of our mission. We must find the Great Spirit here, and hunt down the Revanchist who seek to destroy it."

It felt somewhat relieving to just say this out loud, to remind herself of why she was here in spite of her fears and qualms. Though with Touma's speech about the nature of this world, she realized the answer to the question she had raised just a few moments ago was right there in front of her; this world was permeated with Malevolence for a reason.

Even if she wished otherwise, she doubted she could make 'good' memories or thoughts take shape in this place.

Thus, maybe it was better to just keep her mind from wandering into any dark traints of thought.

"You're right, Touma. Good and Evil are rarely absolute. And we shouldn't have to find purpose or salvation in a being more powerfull than us. That can only lead to disaster, in the end..."

She trailed off a little, her thoughts starting to drift to the Great Spirits once more.

They were what was keeping the multiverse intact, but she wondered what Touma thought of them. Were they also god-like entities that some believed could save them in his eyes?

It was a question she dared not to ask him, at least... Not right now.

Alonso simply nodded his head. He looked slightly confused. He understood though, in a way, what they were there to do, having been briefed before his arrival, and having received this brief explanation from the young lady. He was more so confused simply by just... everything. He'd never been in a scene like this and would soon know what it'd be like. Alonso nodded once again, this time to clear his mind. "Vale... Vale. Entiendo. I suppose, then our mission should be completed at once." Alonso was - is - a soldier, no matter his rank, and followed the orders of his leaders to further complete the mission. He was determined for this. Alonso straightened himself suddenly, bowed slightly, and spoke again "Alonso de Entrerríos, Capitan de los Tercios de Flandes, a vuestros servicios." Alonso then paused and relaxed for a moment, and shook his head, realising the mistake that not everybody spoke Castilian. "Ah... Sorry. Captain Alonso de Entrerrios, of the Tercios of Flanders. I am at your services... I admit, I am not too... great with English. Back in the Ministry, we were taught it when we were out on missions.. Pardon the confusion. Eventually I'll have to come out with it."

But then...

Ben would continue to learn the hard way. Alonso turned around, visibly annoyed for being called a bitch. "Vaya, y este personaje? Te deberia de meterte unas hostias, no pazguato?" Alonso refrained from speaking outloud, and in English to refrain from fighting Ben, and muttered under his breath before speaking to the boy. "And you, boy? You seem no younger than the peasants who'd be conscripted to fight for the Army." A case of mistaken communications, maybe, but to Alonso, he was always hot-headed.

@York @Crow

Ben's universal translator allowed him to understand even as he heard it in his native tongue. He figured that the Spaniard probably said it in his own language for reasons.

(Google Translate gives machine translations, pls help)

"To summarise a very long story, I'm sort of considered a hero back home, and it seems that I'm not the only one here," Ben's eyes shift to Touma, Severa and Schala. "In the past, heroes being adult role models were all the rage, but I guess all that inspiration gave rise to younger heroes who want to make a difference early. I've been in the biz since I was ten. It was a lucky accident, but it happened and here I am today.

Some people call it fate. Others call it the correct sequence of events. I just appreciate that it happened and use my powers properly...

... eventually."

" So, wow, just wow, it took you this long to realize that the world isn't so black and white and that everything is shades of grey. Yeah, there is no such thing as absolute good ro evil, good on you for figuring that out kid. But yeah, more people need to be proactive in saving themselves, sometimes there isn't a hero to save the day and you got to be the hero or whatever. Also, anyone have trouble with their translations on the French guy? He seems to be dipping between English and French."

@Ver @HealThyWounds @York @Crow @Everyone else
"Castellano, you fool, or as the rest of the universe calls it, Spanish." There was a more noticeable hint of annoyance in Alonso's voice, yet he simply darted his head toward Deadpool rather than move toward him. "I despise the French. They've meddled with Spain and her Kingdom for far too long. Don't confuse me for one of those.. Gaznapiros. I would kill one if in sight.. Except the modern ones. Distrustworthy yet... formidable allies, when necessary."

@Lucky

"Yep! Lots of trouble with understanding! I definitely do not have any means to understand or translate Spanish! Ahahaha..." Ben's eyes dart around, his eye twitching as he says this despite the fact that he mentioned a Universal Translator in the device he is always seen wearing a while ago.

At least he was consistent with keeping up the act with pretending to not understand the spaniard.

"I'm a bit rusty with my history. How'd the feud start?"

"
See, I would be uninsulted if I knew what any of those words meant, but it seems that the multiverse translation is being a little fickle for me, generally, I can see a literal star or something to see the translation, but it seems nobody has the decent nature to do that anymore though. Okay, good to know that you hate the French, I don't think we have anyone French in our group, I'm Canadian, aye, if you couldn't tell from my accent and stuff," he replied to him.

" So, it would be helpful if everyone stuck to like English, American English. For some reason that has become the universal internet language, but you probably have no clue what he was talking about," he replied, looking around to see if there was a way out of this conversation though.

He took a deep breath and wondering what he was about to... oh, god, he didn't want to be here .

"
Oh look, anywhere but this conversation-" he darted over to Mason.

Before Mason could open his mouth and enjoy some philosophical waxing to appropriately work through some of the emotional distress he was trying to avoid, a loud-mouthed bodysuit-clad mercenary decided that he would get involved with the humorous portion of this very, very long walk and there would be no way out. But that wouldn't stop other writers from trying to make the tone more serious.

"Wade what exactly is your deal? You say it's just that you're crazy, but your language seems grounded just enough. Not grounded to the reality in front of you, but somewhere else. Honestly, that's probably the best, considering how Silent Earth works. But you just seem to go along with everything and not give two shits. When I try to act out, I end up either lashing out at people, sorry by the way, or getting exploded into glass. How do you keep that attitude of yours going? Doesn't it get tiring?"

"... Uh-huh."

Alonso was no superhero, yet he knew he was surrounded by them. In Spain, the people knew him after the Ministry of Time came out from hiding to help the United Universes. Here, he would be different, and would have to explain himself. Alonso, again, bows even shorter for Ben, and tips his hat down, and then up. "Alonso de Entrerrios. Captain of the Tercios of Flanders... Back in my time, they invaded Italy, home of General Spinosa.. the French would go to war with us for anything... The Eighty Years War, the Franco-Spanish War, the Thirty Years War... I was but a captain, leading a squadron of Tercios in Flanders against the Dutch, who were by far formidable foes.. And history shows..." Alonso makes a bit of a frustrated hand gesture, speaking of the losses of his actions during the grand war. "We lost to them, even with our most formidable army. Had we more help, we could have kept the Netherlands to ourselves, and driven to French and the English back to their Hell.. One day, I hope to see it true. But while they remain our allies, I serve at the pleasure of the King and won't harm them. We are allies, after all, no?"

" See, I would be uninsulted if I knew what any of those words meant, but it seems that the multiverse translation is being a little fickle for me, generally, I can see a literal star or something to see the translation, but it seems nobody has the decent nature to do that anymore though. "A clown in red clothing. An ungodly sight, and yet perfect to make His Majesty laugh nonetheless." He dismissed his comments and looked forward to Deadpool leaving the conversation anyways. Alonso could only grunt and mutter "Estupido.."
