what's up everyone haha

i usually go by my pen name 'ryan patrovsky' and rarely let out my real name unless i warm up to you

i'm 20 and i'm from pennsylvania, and i found this site during a search for another role playing forum after freeyourselfroleplaying(.)com was abandoned. i was referred by a girl who last went under the username 'reliance', idk what her username is on here but i'm sure she'll recognise me by the 8-ball, please inbox me if you stumble upon this!

i've been roleplaying for a little over 13 years (yes, since i was 7!) sounds hard to believe lol but i tended to 'explore' the internet a bit and in doing so i came across kongregate, where i made an account and joined a roleplay room there
being in there taught me a lot about how to develop characters, how to create storylines, and how to use proper grammar, and i picked it up very quickly
i became a hit at the age of 12, and one of the best roleplayers there until i left to start expanding and exploring other websites
i never wanted people to know who i really was just cause i didn't want people to not roleplay with me due to my age, and because i didn't want strangers to know about me lol, kid stuff
found freeyourself at the age of 15 and was on there full-time for 3 years until i started losing time for it
then it died and i'd been longing to find another site that was similar or as active, as i didn't want to learn a whole new system and way of navigating a site, and i didn't want to be on a site that wasn't really welcoming or friendly to new people
and now here i am, hoping i've come to the right place

i do a lot of styles with preferences to spy/agency roleplays, gang/mafia roleplays, and the regular teen coming-of-age roleplays, but i'll pick up any plot with the right amount of prior googling lol

i also love romance, and usually prefer 1x1 roleplays as they are easier to follow for me, and they're just more intimate
but i can hold my own in a group public forum setting

i consider myself semi-literate, my shortest posts are usually a paragraph, and my longer ones are usually 2-3 (longest post ive made was 6 paragraphs long! i have sudden bursts of inspiration sometimes lol), that being said i'm not a big one-liner guy cause they're so hard to respond to

hopefully i get to meet some new friends, maybe come across some old ones (remember the 8-ball!), and talented people to create stories with! inbox me if you're interested in coming up with some ideas

thanks so much for the welcome! it's so good to find another place to express myself
the approval probation is going to kill me lol because i've been itching for a roleplay for what seems like an eternity at this point, but it's cool that they have this feature cause inactive accounts take up unnecessary bandwidth and that's kinda one of the things that killed the site i was on before
plus, nobody wants someone who can't behave themselves haha

Hey once your accepted, if you need a roleplayer partner, i'd gladly take on that mantle! I've been looking for plenty of people to roleplay with!

Welcome to STC!!! Usually I try to get to people a little more quickly, but what can I say. Life is insane right now. You probably understand that. If you're not in college more than likely you work full time. Spare time isn't as plentiful as it was when I was a kid. However, writing is still one of the best ways to cool down and have a little fun. I just have to ask. Do you have any pets? If you don't, what kind of pet would you like to get?

i do not have a pet, but if i could have one, it would be a dog

Very good. I love dogs. Just got one this spring. Been a while since I've had a dog and this one is a firecracker, but that's a good thing. I'm a little wild sometimes and he just thinks it's great when I am. Lol. What kind of dog would you get? A lap dog that always adores you? A fiery fellow? Hunting dog? Couch potato? Would you get the dog to match your lifestyle, or do you have a breed in mind with characteristics that you like?

definitely a big dog for sure
i'd probably get a female since they're more passive, like a great dane or something

a dog that's loyal and playful but can also kick some serious ass when the time comes
