"I am... fine..." Mary hummed in monotone.
"We're getting out of here... we're going home... everything is okay..." She stopped for a moment and let herself breathe, before slowly lowering herself from the bench.
"The computer you're looking for?" She replied in a haze.
"It is through that door." She pointed towards the end of the hall.
"You will have to cross over a large hall to get there. It was dark when he took me through there. I do not know what's inside it. After that, there's an elevator, and a set of blast doors. The pass code to get in is..." She froze as she surgically searched her memories. There wasn't any trauma holding her back. No fear. No caution.
"444-6-2-6-1-222-444-44-66-33. Once you're through those doors, you will find Arcade's computer..." Mary smiled, but her eyes were blank. Empty.
"Brilliant..." Eli muttered, still restrained that his aggressive approach had failed.
"Now hypnotise her into falling asleep or something so we can go. We're wasted enough time here as it is..."

As Alice gazed through the small viewing windows on the first stasis draw, she could vaguely make out the top of Renfred's head, his eyes fixed upon the canopy of his champer. He did not move. He did not breathe. He was perfectly still, almost peaceful.
Chise seemed equally content in the second chamber. Her eyes danced beneath her eye lids. They fluttered as she dreamed sweet dreams.
Elias laid frozen in the third chamber, a black sack hanging over his head and horns. Large leather straps kept him pinned to his bed.
With the pull of a handle, Alice could wake them all up. She could
make sure that they were all safe....
"Alice... what are you doing?"

"You bastarrraaagghhhhh---" Warren's words trailed off into screams as the last of the spiders leapted onto his skin. He fells to the undergrowth and writhed about in the dirt for a moment or two. He twitched, jerked, then finally succumbed to the horde.

It didn't take long for the spiders to finish their mean. Before Warren's bones were cold, the spiders had already scurried back to their master.
"Damn, you really should have had a slice..." Ben muttered, licking his lips.
"We didn't exactly leave any left overs..." He kicked the cacoon his children had wrapped around around Warren. A moment later, it collapsed, revealing the outline of the handful of bones and the crippled wings that he had left behind.
"Hope you didn't need that guy's body for anything, friend. I mean, there's not enough of him left to make a good trophy..."
As Henry spoke of Arcade, a grave look crawled over Ben's skeletal face.
"Someone killed me? Who killed---" His words trailed off.
"---oh. I remember now. Yeah... That blows..." He sighed.
"There's something you will need to see, Henry Hart..." Ben's spiders rose from the earth bound Henry's legs. With a crack, Kid Danger was suddenly pulled underground...

Kid Danger awoke in a dark, underground chamber. It's walls and floors were all metalic and and clean, save for the few specs of dirt that had fallen through the ceiling with him.
Several large glowing medical pod littered the hall. A bloody medical table sat in corner.
"This... Is what awaits you. It's what awaited me... When I died..." Ben pointed towards one of the pods.
"Look inside. Look inside and see..."

As Billy cruised over the Clearing, a blast of chilling thunder would strike him out of the sky. He came tumbling down to the ground as a red bullet, striking the dusty earth with a crack.
"Billy-Buddy..." A familiar voice droned.
"You really didn't think this through, did you? I mean, come on!!" In a flash of blue, Arcade appeared behind Batson. He hammered his heel into the back of Billy's neck, and laughed as pain flooded the boy's body.
"You'd turn your back on me, Ringmaster? After all I've done for you? Kids! I never should expected so much of you--" He grinded his heel deeper into Shazam's neck.
"You see, now I've got to kill that darling family of yours. You brought this on yourself, kiddo!"
He raised his hands to the heavens and closed his eyes.
"You don't want my gifts? Fine! God giveth, and God taketh away!!! SHAZAM!!!!"
Lightning burned Billy's flesh, sapping him of all the strenght he had left in him. Arcade kicked him a dozen more times.
"I had such high hopes for you, you ungreatful brat!! Look what you're making me do!!! SHAZAM!!!"
Another blast of dark thunder came tumbling down towards the island, scorching Billy to the bone.
"We could have avoided all of this!! You could have gone on to such better things! But no!!! No no no! You had to throw it all away!!! SHAZAM!!!"
"SHAZAM!!!"
"SHAZAM!!!"
"SHAZAM!!!"
Dark lightning hammered the boy over and over again. The only thing loudered than the cracking thunder was the laughter of the madman who had summoned it.
"End of the line, Batson!! You've died on this Island once already. I won't make the mistake of saving you twice!!!"
[BOOM]
A tree struck Arcade's body and shattered to splinters on impact. The madman didn't flinch. He slowly turned to face his attacker.
"Superboy..."
"That's Superman, to you, Asswipe."
"Sure it is. I guess you're wanting to throw your life away too, huh?"
"Sorry. Made a promise to a friend that I wouldn't. "
"I'm sorry, kid, but you're going to have to break that promise. But first, I'm going to break your back. Then your fingers. Then your neck and then--"
"Wally! Now!!!!"
A blue bullet scotched past Arcade, sending the splinters of the fallen tree flying in all directions. The Flash grabbed Billy, threw him over his shoulders, and laid him down in a ditch half a kilometre from Arcade.
"I've got him!" The Speedster cried.
"Really? You're risking your life to save him?"
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?"
Arcade rolled his eyes.
"I guess I've just have to save him for later..."
