"Yes, I hope Jane would lead the way, please," she said while she got out of her ship to take a look around. So far, who she assumed to be the 'citizens' of the stations were mostly enjoying the free food and waiting in line to take a bath a bath at the public showers. The charities seemed to be very invested in this area though.

Of course, charities aren't their focus. So Nuli, expecting Jane to lead decided to step further into the station, away from the hanger where all the charity stuff where. The inside of the station still looked old and rusty. The place wasn't built for being an apartment complex and there were several looted areas. Rooms that were originally for storage became people's homes and nothing that belonged to the station worked properly

Jane mostly ignored Vir chattering almost uncanny positive. It was almost as the electricity hadn't only taken away her memory but, also her ability to think realistically.

Jane nodded, "alright follow me," she said as she nodded at the woman and off she went in between the buildings. She hurried along in between the big storage buildings and small self-made chacks that were build at random against it. As they got deeper into the maze there were fewer people. Most of the people living there were at the port to benefit from the charities as much as they could but, here and there they encountered did encountered some people. Lot of them were human but, there were also Allurian like her and others from various other species. Some sat down against the building staring at them with hollow eyes. Some others who were clearly high on who knows what kind of drugs. Some were laying on the ground seemingly asleep. A little Allurian child ran past barely reaching Vir's knees. But, how different they all seemed they were all dirty, malnourished and not Janes family.

Jane continued on not, paying attention to any of them. From time to time she stopped to make sure she was still going in the right direction. Even in the short time, she was gone they had build new shacks against the buildings. Some had broken down and one storage building had partly collapsed. After what seemed like forever the girl stopped in front of the entrance of one of the storage buildings. "We lived here," she said as she pointed at the building. "In the front left corner we build some shelter with crates," she said pointing at the left.

Laytons stared at what was in front of him. A mess made by god knows what conflict, in god knows what sistem or for what reason. Maybe it wasn't even a war. Maybe it was something all together different. The cause of this mess made no difference. They were there, and were probably going to stay there for much longer.

Layton began to tapping his foot on the ground, impatiently. "Well, thank you. Now we know." he replied in a dead tone. "Now could you please show me where I have to go? The sooner we're done with this, the better." Layton started to cringe form the stench sorounding them. "I've just about had it with this place."

Vir looked at the poor that were located in the slums. SHe looked with her eyes at the allurings walking past them and some people that were laying on the ground. Deep within her she knew that they were dead... Vir kept herself hopeful. Maybe they will get help. Maybe the station will get back to the good old days. Maybe...

As they made their way to the building Vir nodded as she held her gun out. ''Alright. Does anyone have any gas grenades that can be thrown in?'' She asked. She then looked at the door, thinking. ''Layton, run straight through the door and jump to the ground. It should attrack whoever is in there's attention.'' Vir suggested. ''Then we will head in guns blazing and arrest who ever tries to capture you or interrogate you.'' She commanded.

Nuli looked around, there were no gas grenades, at least none on her, "Sorry, no grenades here." she replied. Then she gently tapped Layton's back and smiled at him. "Okay, I'll make sure you wouldn't die, go on," she said to him. Nuli had an idea that there was someone in there, she could sort of sense it. But she didn't know who was in thereof if they were dangerous. That's a risk that Layton would have to take for the team. Even though she's likely the toughest out of all of them.

Nuli then looked to Jane for a moment, "So. If things get a bit rough, you may need some help." She said and she handed Jane the handle to the energy sword. It had a button that could be pressed to activate the blade. Certainly a good intimidating factor.

"Alrighty then." he thought to himself "I'm counting on your support here. So if anything goes south,... you know what to do." he nodden and went off. He wasn't too worried since he still had his tranq gun and zipline gun. He casualy walked though the door and was prepared for anything. Or so he hoped.

Jane took over the strange object from the alien. She weighted in her hands, "What is this?" she asked as she found the button. She almost dropped it as the energy blade popped out of it. A little panicked she pressed the button again to make it go back. A little nervous she looked around if anyone had seen it.

The girl nodded at Layton holding the sword tightly in her hands. "Can't I come with you, they won't trust you with information about my family. At least I hope so," she said.

As Layton walked into the building the smell of unwashed bodies and piss would hit him in his face. He would find a multitude of people crawled together in corners and makeshift houses inside of the building. The wind mercilessly found its way in through cracks, making it not much warmer than outside. If he would follow Janes directions he would find the shack made of crates and cloth in the corner.

Two little identical boys peeked through a hole in the crates. They looked like they were barely 4 but, in reality, they just celebrated their tenth birthday a couple of months ago. They didn't say anything just looked at him secretly. They had the same wild ginger hair as their big sister and it was clear they must be family.

Vir sighed as she looked at jane. ''Exactly. We send Clayton first, if there is people inside, we will pop in and capture who eve ris inside. It is better if one of us gets captured than get two of us captured.'' She said as her eyes started showing off to herself the mathematical equations for propability of survival.''Y'see, if we assume there is 50% chance of death then we send Clayton in and there is only 50% chance of him dying. If we send him and you, Jane, then both of you have a 50% chance of survival. The chance of either one of you dying is 50+50%, which means there is 100% chance of either of you dying. Chances of BOTH of you surviving if this is a trap is 25%, because 50% multiplied by 50% is 25%. This is some basic math that was teached in the police forces.'' She explained. ''One person dying is better than two dying.'' She explained.

There was someone here, someone who wasn't too keen on this environment either. A human nevertheless but a very rough person. He was hiding right above. The magnetic suit allowed him to remain on the roof, only jumping down once he was behind Layton. "Aie, who are you?" he asked. A gun pointed directly at Layton but he wasn't very aggressive. "Aie, I recognize you. You're that dumbass that attempted to rub the Commerce Partnership with that Alurrian girl. Where is she, the boss been waiting for her." he said to him immediately

"Well nice to make your acquaintance." he said in a semi cheerful tone. "But before we continue, I recommend you don't call me a dumbass again."

Liàng Proton
"Okay you moron," He smiled, "I'm just looking for the short girl. Red hair, lives in this dump. The boss is very, very unhappy. I think she knows where to find hi,." He said to him

TheStreilok
"Oh really now?" he said as he turned around. But for some reason he had a smile on his face. "Lucky for you, I know where she is."

Liàng Proton
"Well good. Then send the message back. I don't care to deal with people. The boss is at his base and hurry. There are some clients who do love her kind." He said, and he used his suit to hover himself back unto the roof, "By the way, those small boys are worthless, she can have those back."

Blue winter rose
That moment a elder woman appeared could seen through the cracks of the shed, holding a younger child. "Come stay back," she murmeled as she directed them back into the shed.
[22:37]
"but, he knows where Jane is," they complained. "Is that so?" she asked. "Wiliam, he knows something 'bout our Jane" she notified her husband. And soon the father of the family positioned closer to the door listening carefully to the conversation outside.
TheStreilok
Layton moved twards them. Watching his step. "Hello there." he said in a friendly tone "And who would you be?" he narrowed his look.(bewerkt)

Blue winter rose
The husband tensed up stepping outside of the shed using a stick clearly limping with his right leg. "And who are you?" he asked as his wife had pulled back in a corner of the small shed together with the rest of the childeren.
TheStreilok
"I asked first." Layton stated
Blue winter rose
"Only fair you answer first as well right," the man answered grinning. "You know where our Jane is?"
TheStreilok
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't. Either way I'm not telling you unless you tell me your name."
Blue winter rose
The man grinned as he looked up at Layton. The man was barely a head bigger than his daughter but, because of his his facial hair, sharper facialstructure and the fact his body looked more wornout in general it was clear he was older. Older almost then he actual was. "I am her father, Will," Wiliam answered giving a shorter version of his name.
TheStreilok
"Pleasure to meet you, Will. My name is Jon." he stated plainly. "You must be Janes father. Am I correct?"
Blue winter rose
The man nodded, "Yes, nice to meet you, can you tell me where she is?" the man asked. then a tiny blond girl stepped out of the shed, if she leaned over a bit she would easily be able to run through Laytons legs if she wanted tp. "you know where Jane is? and Erica? and Sophy?" she asked staring fiercefully at the Layton. "Go back inside,' William said as he pulled the little girl behind him.
TheStreilok
The little kid made Layton stumble. "Uhh, yeah... I do." he answered. "I'm guessing Erica and Sophy are also yours?"
Blue winter rose
The man smiled weakly and nodded, "Yes, they are, can you bring me to them? Are they in good health?" he asked
TheStreilok
"I'm sorry to break this to you but..." he paused for a second "I only know where Jane is. The other two, I don't know."(bewerkt)
Blue winter rose
The man took a deep breath and nodded, trying to remain strong. "Where is she?" His daughter had clamed to his good leg looking up at him. "Are they coming back?" she asked. "Yes, yes they will, soon," her father answered as he pet her head.
TheStreilok
"Look, I don't know. Jane never mentioned them before. Hell, I don't think even she knew they were missing."
Blue winter rose
"You spoke with Jane?" he asked hopeful.
TheStreilok
Layton let out a laugh. "Spoke? I've worked with her." he said with a smile "Quite the story, I must say."
Blue winter rose
"You did? Is she save?" he asked worried. Behind him Shayla apeared at the door entrance, Still with a baby in her arms another kid even smaller than the girl clammed at her legs and the twins stood right behind her.
TheStreilok
"Safer than she would be in this shithole." he said, amused "No offense, of course.". It was his time to ask questions. "When did Erica and Sophy go missing?" he asked with an inquisitive look in his eyes.
Blue winter rose
William glanced down, "I know, a day after Jane disappeared. Damnit I should have never let her go, but, you know her no stopping her," he added grinning.
TheStreilok
"I see..." Layton said, in dee thought. "Do you know who might have done it?"(bewerkt)

Blue winter rose
The man glanced at the exit, "friends of the man that just left, he was there as well" he said in anger. "They came at night said something about an unpaid depth and dragged my daughters along with him. At least they are not keeping guard anymore. You aren't part of them right are you?" he asked.

TheStreilok
"I already told you, I work with your daughter." he added. Casually, Layton pulled out his communication device, sending a direct message to his team. "All is good. You might want to come in here" - the message said.

"That said nothing," Wiliam said shaking his head as he stared at the communication device of the man warry.
-----
Jane moved her weight from one leg to the other unable to stand still, staring straight at the entrance. As the communication device of the others made a sound, she looked up ready to run in magic sword in hand. "Is that Layton what does he say what does he say?" she asked inpatient.

"You've got mail" said the monotonous ai as her eyes got a message. Vir checked her eyes as she opebed the message. Vir smirked as she closed the mail. "Problem solved. We can go In now."Vir said as she walked up To the door, only to stop few moment before. She turned her head to look at Jabe." I think you should enter your home first before us. "Vir suggested.

Nuli took on a deep breath, so far nothing's happening, especially when out here. She looked at the door and forcefully pushed it opened. Even though it might have said 'pull' she still forced it open. Then she took Jane and immediately brought her inside the room. "Don't hesitate, delays can cost people their lives. Just step in and find out what's happening," he said to her.

Nuli could feel some of the radiation around her, and while the other room was more blurry, she can sort of tell that there were a couple of people there. "No worries, there's likely nothing dangerous." She herself stepped in and she sighed. Good thing her species isn't sensitive to bacteria, the hygiene isn't very up to standard.

Jane rushed into the building." Father" she called out as she ran into his arms.

"Jane, how are you?" Wiliam said as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Still alive and nothing broken," Jane replied as she hugged him shortly before kneeling down to hug her little sister. At the same time, the twins ran in her direction as well to greet her. The two of them hugged her that enthusiastic they nearly smothered the little girl already in her arms and nearly tipped Jane over.

"Calm down," Jane said laughing as she tried to find her balance back. But at that moment the little boy standing behind her mother ran in to hug her tipping her over. Jane smiled as she cuddled her siblings, "I missed you all," she said. " I brought something," she said as she pulled away a bit from her siblings and got back at her feet. The little children looked up at her excitedly for their surprise. "What did you bring?" they called all in once and in a slightly different manner.

Jane smiled at her younger siblings, "A little patience," she said than she looked at her parents. "Everything alright here, everyone safe?" she asked. As she spoke the family immediately turned silent, staring awkwardly at their feet. Only little Oliver didn't understand what was going on and looked a little confused at the others.

"What is wrong what happened?' Jane asked as she stepped closer to her mother. "Where are Erica and Sophy?" she asked panicked as she tried to glance behind her mother to see if they would be still inside.

Her mother protectively put one arm on Jane shoulder while she held the baby, Flynn in her other arm. "They were taken," the woman said, fighting against her tears. It was clear it took great effort to say the words.

Jane shook her head, "No, no they can't we need to get them back, who took them?" she asked as she glanced around at her family.

Layton shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose "Who took them?" he quoted Jane, "Who do you think?" the sarcasm in his voice was evident "The same fucking guy who you had buisness with. And now he took the kids it seemes." Layton akwardly paced around, somewhat worried. "Oh! By the way." he exclaimed "Remember that one guy who disguised himself as a troop when we first met? Yeah, he was here a moment ago. Almost blew my head off too." he paused to think, "It also just happens that he works for the same guy who took Jane's sisters."

Vir stood in the room with the others as she stood there glaring at the aliens that looked like short gingers. If Jane looked like a child, then the little kids looked like toddlers! How could something so small be able to have functional brains like hers? There were many questions related to Jane's species in her head that got pushed aside as the situation became dire.

Vir looked at Layton. ''Now. Is not a good time. To joke.'' She said to Layton as she added dramatic pauses to her words. There was a gentle.... ire in her. before looking at Jane and then at the parents. ''DId the person who kidnapped your relatives tell you if they plan on coming back here to take more of you? We could possibly wait for when they come here and then set up an ambush and use the kidnappers to get your relatives back.'' Vir suggested. ''Remember, remain calm. Only with a clear mind can you do most of the smart decisions.'' She said calmly. THen she remembered what Layton said about a shady dude. ''Where did this dude go, Layton? Do you know the direction?''

Nuli wasn't used to such conditions, even as slave things were much cleaner, to say the least. But, she did listen for a bit and began to think. This time, she ignored Layton for a moment. "Kidnappers have a tendency to kill their hostages after getting what they want. Or they'll set up some trap or defence if they're expecting something to find them." She was mostly just thinking out loud at this point while giving Jane some details. "How we react would be entirely based on the kind of person the kidnapper is though."

She did then look at Layton when he spoke, "Jetpacks would take in him, he'll either be going to a ship of hiding somewhere on the station." she said to him.

Wiliam sent Layton an angry look, making clear he didn't appreciate his jokes. Then he pointed his attention at the purple alien, "Judging by what he said I don't think they would kill them," he said. "They would be too valuable," he added choosing his words wisely as too not alarm his children. Not that they have seen too much misery already.

"Alright, why are we still standing here? Come if we hurry we might catch him," Jane said as she glanced at the others. "Do you want to help?" she asked.

''The man is taking the prisoners to the shipyard. He is going to sell them as slaves. WHat other use does a person living in slums have in the eyes of a criminal?'' Vir suggested as a baseless assumption.

Vir nodded at Jane. ''Ay, I think I can help you guys. You need someone with a weapon, after all.'' SHe said as she looked at others. ''Let's do some good for the people, alright?'' Vir said at the others.

"Slaves, they're small so manual labour is a no, they'll likely be slaves to the worse kind of people," she said and she began to think just a little bit more. She then proceeded to walk out of the area, "Come on guys, my ship has access to military routes we can get there sooner then they expected." she said and she quickly made it to her ship. "I just need to know where we're supposed to go"
