Oscar’s school for troubled children is located in Rye, England and was considered one of the greatest schools known in the 1930’s for curing the troubled. Their intensive therapy, the medications, and the friendly staff made the facility seem normal. But no one fully knew what they were doing inside the facility.
The outside of the facility was completely stone and brick and had a Victorian look to it. The inside of the building was dark and was only lit up by small lanterns and light from the windows. They had paintings scattered all over the building that did nothing but collect dust. The inside of the facility was wood and had a fancy trim that lined that lined the tops and bottoms of the walls with streaked oak wood floor paneling under there feet. There were large windows everywhere that made the building a bit brighter but they had their beauty ruined by having bars over them for fear the residents would try to escape. Wooden Doors also lined the halls, some for patience, some off limits.
There were two stories to the building . The top one for the girls and the bottom one for the boys. There was also a library that had a building to itself but was attached to the main building by a long stone hallway. The top and bottom floor were relatively the same. Both had the same hallways that were lined with door after door and they had the same lights that were placed parallel to each other from across the hall. And both always had paintings that lined all walls, and occasionally a marble sculpture mounted on a stone pillar. There was only the library and the 2 floors.
The library had many windows since it was facing towards the sun. The library was connected to the facility by the side of the 1st floor. The other part of the facility was facing away from the sun. The library had rows and rows of books each row almost touching the curved roof and all the books were faced towards the center. In the center there were tables lined up with wooden chairs. Under them was a long emerald colored carpet. The tables had bronze colored clip lamps that were ready to be used by the patients.
The facility rested on top of a hill the nearest village miles away but still in sight. The school was always looking for new patience.
