"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Even an alien like me knows that one," Birdy exclaimed as she pointed her finger at Retrigan. "With the way you've been manhandling us around, let alone the honest working class of this world, there's no possible way the ends could justify the means!"

Resting her other hand on her hip, she maintained a sharp gaze toward the man. "A society's only as prosperous as its lowest rung. I can tell you that much from all the planets I've traveled to, and if you're gonna step on people like those farmers from earlier, you'll end up taking one step forward and then five steps back!"

"I do not recall such words from you, unfortunately," Golbez replied with a sideways tilt of his head. Indeed, he did not recall such thing, or so it seems.
"That aside, it is said that actions speak louder than words and most of the actions we have witnessed so far appear to be either vaguely hostile or overtly hostile, as far as the fellows with me have witnessed. Truly, I have no choice but to doubt," Golbez added, still maintaining the calm that he initially had.

Retrigan chuckled. "I can tell you don't understand what we're doing here. What I am doing here. I am eliminated class and building everything into a unity." The walls would open up and reveal what the assembly line really was.

"Cybermen," The Doctor replied in horror. Both walls were filled with Cybermen going along the line.

"Oh how did you know I was calling them that?" Retrigan asked surprised. "Yes this is the final step in our planets evolution. Removing all unnecessary flesh and becoming fully metallic! We won't need food or sleep and can share our expertise with the rest of the galaxy!"

"Mr. Retrigan. We have already face these mechanical monstrosities," Kirk remarked looking in horror at what was opening up before them. "The only thing they are interested in is the subjugation and transformation of every living being into more Cybermen."

For once Retrigan seemed to be lost for words. "N-no. No that's not what they are! Its us! The Cybermen are us! This is how we'll take our lives to the next level!"

"Here here!" A woman's voice now echoed through the white room as the blond woman from before emerged from a lift from the floor. "They are just jealous at what you've accomplished here!"

"Lenore!" Kirk shouted. "What have you done?!"

She smiled. "Just shared my expertise, that's all."

"We have secured all of that in our bio-exhibitions," The soldier replied. "It's not like we need those things. Anything we need we create. Food and drink you name it. We can grow it in labs. C-Can't you?"

"Kirk's right. They only care making more Cybermen no matter the means, and trust me from what I can tell it's not a pretty sight." Noah spoke to Retrigan, a little disgusted in all honesty.

When Lenore spoke and made her appearance, Noah scoffed.

"I think you're not that good at reading people. I don't hold any jealousy for this sorry display." He narrowed his eyes at her, hands balled into fists at his side with one concealing his switchblade, ready for use at a moments notice.

"You idiot, how naive can you be?!" Birdy exclaimed as Retrigan confessed his so-called partnership with the Cybermen. Now, the exchange only became that much sadder. All this time, he thought he was the king, but really, he was hardly more than just a pawn in the mechanical monsters' schemes.

As Lenore appeared before them all, the woman narrowed her eyes, glaring with eyes as sharp as daggers. "Whatever your game is, it's not the kind that anyone should be playing. Loss of emotion, of compassion, of free will... It's like they say, there's nothing enviable about it at all! At that point, they can't even be called alive!"

@Jeremi @Takumi @Chaos Sphere

"It's these terrible things again," he sighed in grave disappointment, "I had faith that you are one to be reasoned with, and what was shown before use is irredeemably saddening. Those vessels that were presented are devoid of conscience and emotion, and what is the purpose of improving one's quality of life if the people no longer possess the capability of perceiving it, puppet?" Golbez's voice changed from a formal tone to that of significant disgust, clearly having dropped off a considerable portion of the respect he formerly had. "It is possible, if you were to consider disposing of those metal goblins and started producing something else, I might spare your life in the foreseeable future."

A luminous pair of orb-like drones floated out from Golbez's cape like a duo of familiars and positioned themselves beside him, eyeing every single Cyberman with gazes unperceivable. He promptly began to position himself directly above the other two fellows, fully on-guard and ready to annihilate any Cybermen who would dare fire a single blaster shot. While the woman that had just appeared appears to be a new face for him, she does appear to be behind the Cybermen, judging from her own words and the response of those with him.

Wyatt Logan

Wyatt was silent for a moment. " While on paper that sounds nice, it doesn't help those things in the long run. Being able to create anything you need is a good idea, but not if it costs the planet its entire ecosystem. If you can do that, why would you need the Expansion?"

@Jeremi @Space_Candy @Yun Lee

Retrigan's face seemed to sour even more. "Cybermen are what we're meant to be! Excluding all of the pointless things like food or sleep. Efficency, that's what we were meant for. Efficiency! We'll share out gifts to others thanks to this." Another hole in the floor as a large pulsating orb emerged. "With this perpetual engine our entire planet will be able to fly across the galaxy with ease."

If the Doctor had looked shocked at the reveal of the Cybermen the orb almost had him topple over. "You stupid, stupid insignificant little man! What have you done?!" In a panic the Doctor ran up to the orb leaving Retrigan mouth agape.

"What is it Doctor?" Kirk replied still keeping his eyes on Lenore. "What is that thing?"

"It's...it's a time bomb, literally," The Doctor replied with trembling words. "It's called an entropy bomb. When it detonates it has enough force to engulf the entire planet make time past a million years causing everything to wither and die in seconds."

"T-that's absurd!" Retrigan protested. "It's an engine. A powerful one that will-"

"Who gave it to you?"

"Well, Ms. Lenore did."

The Doctor turned to face Lenore who had a large smirk on her face. "Guilty! In my defense he kind of chose to read a little much into what it actually was."

"Why are you doing this Lenore?" Kirk asked her. "The woman I knew would not go this far."

Lenore scoffed. "The woman you knew? Captain, you never knew me. You murdered my father in cold blood and locked me away in a mental institution!"

"That is what this is all about revenge?! You are murdering entire planets turning them into these, into these murderous machines!" Kirk motioned around him. "Why not come towards me directly? Why sow all this destruction?"

"Because of this!" She remarked victoriously. "This reaction. You are the reason why all these people have to suffer."

As this was going on Retrigan finally seemed to realize that he had been tricked. "What is the meaning of this? You promised these were only tools to help us see our true potential how could y-" Retrigan didn't have time to finish his sentence as Lenore pulled out a pistol that caused a massive hole in his torso and causing him to fall lifelessly to the floor.

"You talk too much."

"To help others of course!" The soldier replied. "Every species in the wider galaxy would surely be thankful for the aid we can bring them!"

"You know, old man, they say if you say orange slowly enough, it sounds like gullible! Why dontcha try that out and leave us to clean up your messes?!" Birdy exclaimed to Retrigan as everything was laid out to all of them, and the stakes were suddenly raised with each passing minute thanks to Lenore.

"And as for you, lady... I dunno what your beef is with the cap here, and really, I don't think I care very much!" She said, gesturing toward Kirk. "You know what they say about airing your dirty laundry. Someone's bound to throw your own crap back at you!"

I don't think they say that at all, Tsutomu's voice chimed in.

To Kirk and the Doctor, Birdy clicked her tongue. "So, any bright ideas? I assume feeding 'em and the Cybermen some knuckle sandwiches won't cut it for you in particular, Doc."

@Jeremi @Takumi @Chaos Sphere

"Alas, Retrigan, you are an intellectual potential wasted..." Golbez grimly watched the corpse drop on the void-white floor. "As for whoever you are, vengeful woman, your actions are too drastic. If this devolves to utter chaos, your mind will be occupied with regret for eternity in the discovery that all of this will be squandered effort and resources," Golbez began addressing Retrigan's killer, the orb drones beside him moving cautiously in apparent reaction to the significantly broader sphere.

He took a glance at the Doctor and the captain behind him to check for any plan other than Birdy's. "Should we ever mutually decide to smite these adversaries; we should at least be cautious not to blow up that magic ball you called an 'entropy bomb', provided there is no other choice," Golbez added, further upping his guard before focusing on carefully analyzing the formation of the enemy.

@Jeremi @Takumi @Ver

"But don't you have enough? Answer me this, pal: why do you need EVERY spot of land? Huh?" Sasara poked the soldier's forehead with his mic. "So what if some people wanna live like they always have? You'll be able to help people with what you've already got! You're telling me the only options are to join up or die?"

@Jeremi @Lucky @Space_Candy

Wyatt Logan

Wyatt shouldn't have been surprised that the man was lost in his own military propganda as he had been the same way for a while with his own job. " I think you are so focused on the wrong thing. Sure, you might think you are helping people, but your way of life is not the only one. I learned that lesson overseas myself. Different ways of life isn't a bad thing, it's the best way to experience other cultures."

@Jeremi @Space_Candy @Yun Lee

"It's cost effective? Consistency? I dunno what you want me to say!"

As the others were grilling the soldier, Abin Sur would try and get the others attention. "I believe whatever the final stage of this was, has begun," He pointed towards the city where a pillar of light was starting to expand from the center of the city.

Meanwhile...

"Don't touch it!" The Doctor snapped at Golbez as he examined the bomb. "One false move will set this thing off and when that happens who or what we're fighting is irrelevant."

"Yes, isn't it grand?" Lenore laughed. "I never realized how easy it was to manipulate people! You just have to dangle the tastiest thing they can imagine on a hook and watch them swallow it all up."

"Why are you doing this?" Kirk asked. "We know what Retrigan was planning what are you planning?"

"A funeral. Yours in fact. All of this was done as a final funeral dirge fit for your ego."

Kirk took a few steps back in surprise. "You doomed an entire planet just to get me?!"

His sudden outburst made Lenore falter for a moment but the hardness and anguish quickly returned to her face. "O-of course! It's what you and anyone associated with you deserve! Speaking of." The lights on the entropy bomb suddenly started to blink more rapidly. "I have strung you on long enough. Farewell, Captain Kirk. You will not be missed." Before anyone could react the woman would vanish through a teleportation beam.

"Lenore! LENOREEEEEE!" Kirk shouted into the air in vain before running towards the Doctor. "Can you stop the bomb?"

"I'm sorry, Captain," The Doctor replied solemnly. "Once it's activated. All of these people..."

Kirk pulled out his communicator. "Captain Kirk to Enterprise. Come in Enterprise." He was only met with silence. "This is Kirk. Spock, do you read me? Spock!" Still nothing.

The lights started to blink even more rapidly as the white room shifted to that of a room of crimson. "Spock! This is Kirk! Can you read me? Spock! Spoc-!" With that their world went white.

Chapter 5 - Collision Course

Captain's log supplemental

Rummaging through the debris of the planet the Planet killer had targeted we managed to finally find the source of the calamity in the form of a massive information dump. After awhile of decoding from Lieutenant Commander Data and the Doctor we managed to track the Cybermen to their point of origin in our universe. Now we find ourselves in the middle of uncharted space looming over a lone Class K planet of fire and metal. Alone in the void. we are still trying to ascertain how it has a breathable atmosphere.

Picard, his main crew and the multiversal stowaways were all situated on the bridge. "And we are certain this is the place?"

"Oh yeah, me and Data figured that out pretty easily by the data you find. Nice job btws, don't know if I told you that before," The Doctor replied to the crew.

"Data, what can you tell us about the planet?"

"Not much, captain. It is mainly uninhabitable, yet there are clear man made structures trickled all over the surface. No energy readings except from a larger structure in the northern part of the planet. If we wish to find something then I surmise we will find it there."

"Life signs?"

"Scanners pick up none, but that may be due to interference."

Picard turned to face the others. "It would appear we have finally found what we've been looking for. I do not begrudge anyone who decides to stay behind, but if we can finally put an end to the threat that has befallen our universe. Then we shall try. Those that wish to join me and first officer Riker to the planet bellow, get ready. We expect heavy resistance if this truly is the den of the Cybermen."

Connor was happy to hear that they had finally found the center of all the problems in the universe. " These Cyber-men are giving bad names to all androids, whatever they be programmed or deviant- making us look evil. I will certainly join you down there on the planet to put a stop to them."

@Jeremi @Everyone

"I believe my presence in the operation would be highly appreciated. I'm willing to join along if that should be the case," Yamato responded with confidence, "I strongly hope that whatever is on that planet should answer all our questions and help us put an end to this Cyberman menace. But regardless, let us do our best and stay alive."

@Jeremi @Lucky @EveryoneElse

"Yeah, we've already gotten this far. No point in sitting this one out, especially if it turns out to be the crucial piece to getting us back home," Miguel nodded toward Picard. "Besides, you'll definitely need some muscle if there's gonna be a big fight, right?" He said, facetiously flexing his arm as he spoke.

"... Ahem, anyway, ready when everyone else is."

"Then we won't waste anymore time." Riker got out from his chair as Picard looked at everyone. "Energize." With that the group was teleported to the planet bellow.

The first thing the group was hit by was the heat coming from the lava rivers floating bellow them. The only thing they could see was a fiery wasteland all around them. As the scans had revealed the air was breathable and the light from the lava rivers showed them the way forward.

"Remarkable," Riker mused as he walked on the metal bridge. "How is any of this possible? A planet in the dead of space with no sun or moon yet here we are."

"Humanoid made, no doubt," The Doctor remarked. "Though I'd like to have a word with their decorator. This place doesn't scream homely, you know?"

Picard looked around with a serious look on his face. "The magnitude to construct your own planet..." He looked a head and pointed towards a massive structure in front of them. "Stay on your guards. Even if it's implausible, there is still a possibility that we are not alone down here." They could see a huge gate upfront, but there seemed to also be a smaller catwalk going towards the side of the structure.

"If it'll give us the answers we need, lead the way." Kiba spoke up. This was the final stretch it seemed. Maybe they could all get home after putting an end to the Cybermen menace. One could only hope.

It was weird, just looking at this place one would think that it'd be hot enough to burn them alive or something.

Then again, the place looked like a worse dump than what he came from, if you asked Kiba. His gaze landed on the structure Picard pointed out, before noticing the catwalk.

It seemed that there was another option, but he wondered if it was safe for their group to even cross.

@Jeremi @Ver @Chaos Sphere @Lucky @Everyone

"For a place that accurately portrays Hell itself, it's quite surprising that the air is surprisingly breathable. It is possible that this planet could be in some early terraforming stage, given that the Earth itself used to have a very similar environment as far as natural history is concerned," Yamato hypothesized as he walked alongside the group, "As for whatever that establishment may be, it is best not to enter the gate. Perhaps that small path leads to somewhere else?" Yamato gestured to the relatively small catwalk adjacent to the towering gate. Even though the catwalk appears to be less of a trap than the gate, one cannot really be certain about a monumental structure they met for the first time.

@Jeremi @Ver @Takumi @Lucky @EveryoneElse

Connor RK-800

" I am not sure how such a planet is possible. It seems to be deadly, yet inviting. It is strange that it seems like people could inhabit itself,"
he replied, looking at the giant gate and then back at the catwalk. " I shall test if the catwalk is structurally sound," he replied, walking onto it and balancing himself, analyzing as he said that.
