The Last Heroes' Guild The Last Heroes' Guild [OOC and Meta]

I think Dragon, but they haven't been on for a few weeks so I guess me. Thing is I kinda set up my characters for a reply so I don't really know how to continue.
 
I'm thinking of a character in his late 30s, who used to be quite the adventurer. His name is Daniel. He was young, daring, and bold, and used to tell tales, some more exaggerated then others, of his heroic exploits. An incident during his last quest, one to retrieve a powerful magical artifact, made him decide to stop. He stopped adventuring, settled down, married, and put his magical sword, Dragon's Bane, away forever. Or so he thought. One day his daughter catches a mysterious disease, and he is drawn back into the world of adventuring. He assembles a team (Not yet determined who they are, most likely other rp'ers) and sets out to find a magical artifact to heal his daughter. He's old, scarred(He has a huge scar running along his face, mere inches away from his left eye), and usually hesitant to fight. He's reluctant to discuss personal history, and when it is brought up he becomes annoyed and defensive. His shield, though not enchanted, is extremely strong, forged from the scales of a dragon and forged by the master blacksmith that made Dragon's Bane.

Regarding his gear:
Dragons Bane was a sword forged by a mysterious blacksmith, given to Daniel when he was only 13. It became enchanted after he slew a dragon, and imbued it with the power of fire. It is a massive long-sword, and in the 26 years since it has been forged, not a spot of rust nor a hairs-breadth of a dent have appeared on it. The man who made it must have been extremely skilled, for although it is almost as tall as Daniel, it is light and well balanced. There is an inscription on the blade, yet no one has gotten close enough to read it and lived.

He wears a ragged cloak, patched in various places. It isn't enchanted, but he treats it as though it was the most powerful magical artifact to exist. He also wears a decent pair of leather boots, and the rest of his clothing (His shirt, his pants, etc...) although only average, is fairly decent. Underneath his shirt he wears an unnaturally light chain mail shirt, presumably enchanted. It is said that this enchanted shirt was forged from the scales of the dragon Daniel slew when he was only 13, but this is not certain.

He has very little knowledge of magic, relying instead on his enchanted sword. He does, however, have a small glass vial of a thick red liquid, and the lines to a mysterious ancient spell in his journal, a leather book with gold leaf and ornate designs on the front.

If anything needs changing, let me know what.

@Inconspicuous looks pretty good except what exactly does "The power of fire and ice" mean? Also you should know that this RP is basically on the brink of extinction...
 
Hey WiZ. I don't know why I added the ice part, I think I'll take that bit off. His sword, when he says a few spell lines, can be lit ablaze, and grant him slight immunity to fire (So that he doesn't catch on fire from his own blade). Also, I could probably help you bring back interest to this RP. Storyteller's Circle has quite a few new members, and I'm sure I could find a few that might want to start a new character here. Perhaps a new story arc is in order?

Hey, whoever is in charge of The Last Hero's Guild. I would like to post a new story arc in the story arcs section, mainly to get this rp back up! If you would prefer a pm, then I could do that.
