Maxwell Tethir

Maxwell hummed at his words. He.. thought for a moment that it might not be the whole truth. One doesn't normally get wounds like this by tripping and falling, but he realized he had no reason to doubt the mans words. It wasn't Maxwell's place to question the amount of injuries one might receive in their day to day, only to treat them.

"Alright," He said, with a brief smile. "Just, you know.. don't be climbing trees you're going to fall out of." He teased as they at last reached the edge of the crowd. Adoneus twitched and looked around, drawing Maxwell's gaze again with a concerned, doctor's eyes.

Before he could say anything further, though, he heard his name called out and he turned, finding the Grandmaster Raakshdos himself addressing him among the crowd. "Sir?" Maxwell asked, slipping into a more formal stance as he gave a less than perfect salute without letting go of Adoneus' arm. Maxwell could count on one hand the amount of times Raakshdos spoke to him directly outside of ceremony.

Then he turned and addressed Adoneus with a concerned Maxwell wasn't sure he heard right. Perhaps the weight of his colleague's death was softening that heart of his. Maxwell wasn't one interesting in delving into the minds of his commanding officers, so he simply kept his mouth shut and nodded at the Grandmaster's words. Raakshdos turned then and returned to the procession and Maxwell glanced to Adoneus.

"What do you think of that?" he smiled as he turned, stepping them beyond the Marketplace and towards the familiar vine covered wall.

Rythe, Into Avalon District, Cathedral of Eden.

After Raakshdos rejoined them, the procession had finally crossed the threshold into the core of the city. The looming cathedral stood just before them, down the road lined with the Wardens. They stood on either side of the street adorned in full armor, sword and shield in hand, deathly silent. Their faces stared forward, grieving yet resolute in their task; the soldiers stiffly saluted as the procession continued to near their ranks before dropping into their previous position.

Rythe reappeared from the crowd, entering into stride next to Raakshdos. "Hows the boy doing? He seemed stable enough under your guys' care."
He cast a concerned glance towards the hole in the group of people, where Adoneus was. While he was worried for him, there wasn't much he could do, being on the exact opposite side of the procession. Pitifully he admitted to himself that he was just making up excuses in his anxiety, but it wasn't exactly his specialty in talking to people... one on one. Frankly, it had been about a decade or two since he had truly interacted with the citizens of the city without relying on a proxy; it nearly terrified him to reintroduce himself into New Eden, especially in a situation like Adoneus'...

Artimeties seemed like the first one to arrive at the spot behind the book store he worked at, it was a nice little store with a decent array of books and sometimes other little nick-nacks but today the sky made it look haunting and the wind was so bad that it blew several rocks into the window of the place. "I Better not be the one to clear that up in the morning!" he yelled the wind not only strong but loud as hell. I hope dots ok. He knew her skills well but she was still blind and this.. storm or whatever the hell it is might be messing with her senses.

Dot finally reached the Marketplace, a scarf wrapped around her head and upper shoulders. She stumbled through her hand ahead of her making contact with many walls along the way. With how crazy the storm was, she had a hard time focusing on things around her. "This is freaking nuts." she mumbled, the only thing that kept her moving was the memory of the walk to the bookstore. After some time she reached what she hoped was the bookstore and called out, "Arty? Are you there? Arty?" she said with a bit of worry, she prayed luck was on her side in this storm.

Dot was on the side of the bookstore the wind blowing her hair wildly as a few rocks were launched at her. "Dot!" He moved quickly his Hunter instincts kicking in as he swiftly grabbed all the stones that seemed to have a mind of their own. He than grabbed her arm as gently as he could "We'll be safe inside!" he said not really believing it. But it was safer inside than outside, using his spare key he opened the door and after they got in and wen to the back of the store were the records were kept in a safe little room. "Ok call me captain obvious. But somethings not right with this!"

"Well, Captain Obvious, you are correct." she joked before her face fell serious. "Thank you, Arty." she said as she snatched off the scarf that was wrapped around her head, referring to the fact of him saving her life. She glanced up at him when she spoke, "Something isn't right, as you said. As I was walking over here, I could feel something changed, something off, something that was unnatural." She shook her head, thinking back of the dread that filled her. "I don't know what it is but the normal cycle of things has been disrupted."

"So their's a normal cycle? I always figured shit just happened because Aditi and or lucifer get drunk and decide *hay lets make this, happen!* " He joked back and than fell serious. "But i know what you mean that fog really gives me the creeps and i'm the guy who took the mission that involved a cult of jesters trying to summon a Clown form hell." That really was a weird one even for Artimeties. but this might end up being a close second.

Dot laughed for a moment, remembering the story Arty told her. "Yeah, I know." she said with a smile before looking back outside. "I just need to figure out what exactly is going on. I would think the funeral is over or close to over right now." So why aren't there people even making there way back or even a few people who didn't want to go at all. It was like a ghost town.

Arty deciding to poke his head out the door as soon as the wind started to calm down and saw that the fog had grown more dense and seemed to have a life of it's own... it was so dense it made the oatmeal that he ordered from the underground look not as chunky. "Ok. According to my deductive skills from the fog, the lack of people and the fact that this is all really scary.... i would say that zombies have risen from the ground and are attack the living."

"Zombies?" Dot questioned. Even with all the magic and mystery in the world, she thought that zombies was a bit off course from what could actually be going on. Though it did give more reason to her feelings. Decided to humour Arty and for lack of a better explanation, she sighed and nodded. "I guess that's what it is then." she sid, though she didn't do well to hide the disbelief in her voice.

Could hear the disbelief in her voice and just frowned a little. "yeah, so what do we do now ?" he was honest with this question. "think we should just rush the fog and see what we can find ?" honestly he would be crazy enough to do that but he wanted to make sure Dot was on board... i mean he expected her to be but she was more in touch with the world than he was an thus could tell if something was a (yes, eh, or a NOPE).

However after a wolfs Howl... that also sounded almost human coming from the crafters guild alerted the two Artimeties made his decision, in truth he wouldn't risk his life for some average joe that was in need unless they made it worth his while. But with this fog and the weirdness factor being at 11 he decided that this person needed all the help they could get. He than opened his space-hole. Named it himself. and grabbed Shadow out of it and changed back into his Bounty hunting gear with mask included, soon as he put it on his voice became deep and he could see Dot's aura. He than pulled out her attire she wore in the underground. "you left it after i got you at 11 times." That was a intense one! "also i was saving this for your birthday." Pulling out a large battle axe. A rather ridiculous battle axe with the coloration of light pink, blue, and a sickening green with the face of a jester smiling like a demonic… jester, engraved in the blades. "If anyone is cut with this they start laughing uncontrollably. Got it from those Jesters... I'm never going to see the circus the same way again but i figured this weapon would be your cup of tea."

Dot smiled as she slipped her gauntlets on. "Let's go then." she said with laughter in her voice. That was until she heard a howl and noticed Arty pulling things out of his holding spot, her outfit and a new battle axe. She glanced at it with her mouth agape. "So beautiful!" she said, as she changed into her outfit, slipping her mask and hood on. She reached for it, flexing her fingers around the handle. She had an extremely wide smile as she examined the axe. It was bigger and sharper than her other axe, and way more colorful. Taking a leather strap that was on the floor, tied the axe to her back flexing her fingers in the gauntlets' hold. "Now let's go."
