A wild Spearow has appeared!
Action: The Spearow was busy chewing on the trainer's hair until it noticed the trainer hold up a new treat for it to snack on. It sniffed the treat, but decided that the hair was a better treat then what the trainer had offered it and continued to chew on the hair.

Sera couldn't believe it! A pokemon that didn't want to eat her lovely treats!? But still, it was somewhat flattering, if not rather painful for the pokemon to begin chewing on her hair. She didn't want for the pokemon to continue though and so instead of bribery, she tried diplomacy.

"H-Hey there little guy...or gal...you like my hair? You want a cookie or-or a muffin instead?" She asks

Action: The Spearow listened to the trainer's words, but it paid them no heed. It was just content with just eating the trainer's hair. Anytime the trainer raised her hand to touch it or offer it anything, it pecked the hand away before going back to chewing on its prize.

Seeing as the pokemon wasn't responding the way she wanted to. Still the pokemon stayed with her so she must be doing something right.

"H-Hey there buddy, w-want to come with me then? Y-You can chew on my hair as much as you want, or if you'd like, I can make you stuff that tastes better then my hair." Sera said.

Action: The Spearow thought about what she said, and while it didn't care for eating anything else, it liked the idea of being able to eat this sweet treat whenever it wanted. The Spearow then sat down on the trainer's head, claiming her as its new nest.

Seeing as the Spearow had just sat down on her head, Sera didn't know how to react. She tried her luck and took out her crystal and pointed it at the Spearow, hoping to it to accept her offer.

Action: The Spearow seemed to have accepted as a glowing light encompassed the pokemon and was absorbed into the crystal. With the pokemon now in the crystal, the trainer's hair is now free from the Spearow's chewing.

Congratulations! You have successfully bonded with Spearow!

Please update your current team in your character thread. The Pokemon is now under your control and will follow you.

Now that Sera had captured her first pokemon she rubbed her head, and straighted out her hair. Now that she captured a flying type she needed a water type to handle all the nasty rock and fire types. Luckily the lake was nearby and she was ready to head out.

The day before had been an interesting first for Seo-Yeon, getting her first two pokemon in entirely different ways and starting her travels in a new area. Today, with clean clothes and a full night's sleep, she made her way past Lake Anteceon to the grasslands. Flowers dotted the landscape of green, granting various splashes of color. There weren't as many trees as she was used to, but this wasn't her home forest.

She sighed and streched, arms above her head. Her Chimchar strode next to her, constantly taking in the scenery. Though she had caught a Wooper the day before, she figured she should get used to her partners one at a time. Pyrrhus did an excellent job battling, but she hadn't spent a ton of time with him yet.

"So, see anything yet?"

The fire chimp grunted a negative.

"That's fine," his trainer said, "More time to get to know the area. There's plenty of pokemon around, I'm sure."

A wild Deerling has appeared!

Lvl: 1

Action: A hard and cruel fate has befell the poor pokemon. The Deerling tries its hardest to walk, but it's having a hard time due to its hurt leg. While it walked, the Deerling called out to its herd, but they were nowhere to be seen, obviously abandoning the wounded Deerling to its fate.

Pyrrhus suddenly perked up, catching his trainer's attention before gesturing towards a particularly thick patch of grass.

"What is it?" Seo-Yeon wondered. She couldn't see what he might be looking at until a flash of pink caught her eye. "A Pokémon?"

Then she heard a heart-breaking cry. She couldn't leave a Pokémon lost or hurt. Even so, she knew how dangerous an injured Pokémon could be. Slow and cautious, she moved closer until she could identify it as a Deerling.

Pyrrhus murmured in sympathy. It was obvious that one of the Deerling's back legs was wounded, the cut old enough to start drying and caking.

Seo-Yeon made sure her presence was known, keeping lower to the ground and keeping a soft expression on her face.

"Hello," she said quietly, "Can we help you little one? Where is your family?"

Action: The deerling saw the trainer and quickly tries to run away, thinking the trainer was a threat, but tripped when it tried to put any pressure on it's leg. It's struggling to get back up.

Seo-Yeon hesitated. She didn't want to frighten the Deerling any more than it was, but it needed help. She glanced at Pyrrhus. The fire chimp might not be the best choice. He was clearly concerned, but he was also selfish and blunt, from what she had seen. Being a fire pokemon wouldn't help calm the wild partial-grass pokemon either.

She pulled a crystal from her pocket and softly called, "Arethusa, come out." A Wooper materialized and cheered. Seo-Yeon shushed her and pointed out the struggling deer.

"Could you calm it down? I don't want it getting more injured running from me."

Thusa squeaked an affirmative, glanced at Pyrrhus, and bounded off to the Deerling. Mood now soured, the Chimchar crossed his arms and watched as the Wooper tried to make friends with the wild pokemon.

Action: The deerling was wiry of the new pokemon, but it wasn't able to fun away so it froze and kept its head low, hoping that it blend in enough with the grass for the pokemon to leave it alone.

Thusa hadn't seemed to noticed the Deerling's discomfort, coming right up to it and asking to play. Pyrrhus sighed again, frown growing, before he stood up and walked to Thusa and the grass deer. He shushed the Wooper, then tried to calm the wild deer.

Their trainer looked on, not wanting to interfere yet.

Action: The deerling saw the next pokemon walking up to it, and it tries to defend itself by kicking up some sand and dirt. When it kicked up the sand however, a shattered chip of a pokemon crystal flies up and hits the Chimchar in the head.

Seo-Yeon noticed the moment the Deerling started defending itself. She had seen similar actions before, when she scared wild Pokémon. This time though, her partners were in danger.

Thusa was getting upset about dry dirty getting kicked at her, but Pyrrhus got the worst of it. The pinkette ran forward as soon as her Chimchar got hit. It had looked like a rock or something, and she was worried about the damage it had done.

"Pyrrhus." She kneeled near him. "Are you okay?"

Chimchar gave a grunt. His eyes were narrowed, but the mark didn't look big or deep.

Seo-Yeon turned to the Deerling. "We aren't going to hurt you," she said, voice soft but firm, "Please, let us help."

She had some bandages that might help, but if she didn't calm the Pokémon down first, she would definitely get kicked.

Action: The deerling thought about for a bit, and it didn't really have a choice. The pokemon closes its eyes and tucks its lowers its head in fear of the trainer, waiting for it to do whatever the trainer was planning.

A relieved sigh escaped Seo-Yeon. The Deerling was still frightened, but at least not trying to fight. She'd have to be gentle then.

Slowly, she set down her pack and retrieved her container of water, a small cloth, and some bandages. She wet one corner of the cloth and wiped at her Chimchar's wound first. He gave several hoots of complaint, but she shushed him. His wound needed to be looked after, even if small.

She then wet the other side of the cloth and moved towards the Deerling, keeping her arms gentle.

"I'm going to clean that wound off first, okay? It will feel better soon, I promise." She kept up a stream of comforting words while she patted the dirt off the wild pokemon's leg wound.

Action: Once the trainer began to tend to the Deerling's wounds, the Deerling reeled back in pain, pulling its leg away.
