P.S. Stoic, Hctib is around a bunch of Gnolls, not Kobolds.

Hctib didn't really know what to do now. He planned to steal the metal armor but he had no idea how he could learn to pilot or fix it. Hctib decided that he needed to consolidate more power and the forest was just the place to do it. The imp heard of certain methods and mutations that would let him talk to the creatures of the forest. He didn't really know what to do with a woodland kingdom but the idea of being the king of the forest just crossed his mind either way though the gaining power was always something he'd want.

The tiny green creature decided to first set up in the large hollow tree where he left his few valuables. The imp wanted to make the tree into a more comfortable nest but right now he had a limited opportunity to actually make contact with a Gnoll from the village. He started to claw at his frail body until crimson gashes ran along his body peeling lines of warm flesh from his limbs.

The Imp limped towards the Gnoll looking as pathetic as possible, his tiny body covered in dirt and streaked with red. The imp spoke in broken common with a thick impish accent "Oiz Need 'elp...." the creature said out of breath "Pleaz 'Ave Marcy.... Da Fowrest Iz Attack me...." he managed to get out before tripping over in front of the Gnoll hunter.

The gnoll was right where Hctib left him, seated upon the rock, gnawing at some jerky. He jumped out of his seat as he heard the grass rustling, fumbling to nock and arrow and pull it to half draw. His eyes darted around nervously, passing over the environment several times. There wasn't much large game in these woods, but wolves and the rare bear weren't unheard of.

As Hctib burst from the brush, the gnoll jumped backwards with a scared yip, and nearly dropped his bow. When he finally saw Hctib, he visibly relaxed and he put his arrow back in the quiver. He sighed, and chuckled, evidently not considering whatever 'attacked' the imp to be much of a threat. If it was something large enough to harm Hctib and not kill him outright, it probably wasn't too much of a threat to the gnoll, or so he thought.

The gnoll frowned, though, seeing Hctib's condition. He really didn't know how to help him. He wasn't a doctor, and hardly one for imps. "You're fine, little guy. I'll make sure no one gets you here." He said. "Wherever the hell 'here' is..." He muttered in addition. The gnoll sat back down on the rock, and motioned for the imp to sit down next to him. "I am Kaegroth." He said. "What is it that hunts you?"

Hctib didn't get the reaction he wanted maybe if he ate the rabbit he saw a while back and didn't look like a disgusting green elf then he'd have gotten some more pity but oh well he thought. He picked himself up then limped next to the Gnoll then sat next to him "Iz waz A WereLizard, I Bin Bit" the imp looked startled and started to breathed quickly "Da Lizard Curse Iz Flowing In Ma Veinz. Izy's Scared"

"The werelizard?" The gnoll asked quizzically. "What, some monster that's imp by day, lizard by night? I don't think such a thing exists..." He said, looking at Hctib. The imp was clearly in distress, and was wounded, but the gnoll highly doubted it was caused by some mythical were creature. Then again, stranger things were known to have appeared from mutations.

"Where did this happen? And when? I'm a hunter, I might be able to stop this lizard." Kaegroth said. He conveniently left out how poor of a hunter he was, but he could probably deal with some overgrown lizard. Maybe the imp would even help lead him back to the village. He would prefer not be stuck in the middle of the woods at night. Even though they weren't too dangerous, more than one person had gotten lost and never returned. He didn't want to be one of them. "And, uh, what's your name, anyway?" Kaegroth asked the imp.

Hctib looked panicked for a second realizing he didn't really think this plan through "Uhh Noo Da WereLizaard Iz Too Dan-gerouz. Izz huge It Waz faur feet Big wiff poison Teef" The imp tried to think of some other bullshit to prevent a search "It killed Mah Brudurz al tharty two af dem with knives" He then looked as scared as possible "Den it Laft to caz carnage to the Desart"

The little Imp looked limp "Mah Nam Iz Hctib... Cauze mah Mom tot I waz a Bitch" He gave a sigh then continued "Mah Brudurz an Me Waz travalling tah find a new life For Ahselvez" his gaze looked dreamy as if somewhere else "Life Az A Imp izt 'ard" The Imp's teary eyes met the hunter "Iz Sure Yah Tink I'mma Pathitic Worm and am Sure Yer rite...... Mah Brudurs wer Da Only peple I cared about An Der dead Now" His eyes now in full blown tears "Iz not know wat ta do Now wif Mah Life. Iz not 'Ave much To mah Name"

Kaegroth frowned. The imp, torn up and crying, was truly a pitiable sight. Kaegroth gave Hctib a sad, sympathetic smile. "I really don't know how to help you out here, Hctib. I'm just some gnoll lost in the woods with a sack of dead birds." He gestured to the pheasants. There was a gap of silence between them as Kaegroth was lost in thought.

"Hey, I have an idea!" He exclaimed suddenly, jumping off the rock. "If you could lead me back to the village at canton lake, I could get a shaman to help with the curse, and get you some food, too! It works out for both of us! What do you say?" He asked, visibly animated.
