Maria is a human barbarian that hails far to the north. What originally brought Maria to Caldonia is a mystery, and she was among the first to part ways after the war. She is an imposing and dominating figure with thick red locks of hair and piercing grey eyes. Though taller in stature than is typically deemed attractive in a woman, her striking features could once have been deemed alluring; however, her looks have grown marred by the feral state that grips her and the ragged scar that runs down the length of her neck from ear to sternum. Both hair and clothing are frequently wild and unkempt with her attire typically consisting of unflattering but practical leathers and furs. Afflicted with lycanthropy, Maria's war with her growing affliction has left what attractiveness she once possessed to slip away with each drop of her humanity. Even within her human state, the lycanthropy affliction seems to have taken root in her mannerisms and increasing instability. It is rumored that she now dwells within the barrens, prowling its borders. The few that have seen her say that she is cursed, a creature as wild and dangerous as the shadow beasts that roam the borderlands.

Though humanoid in form, Taima's features are unmistakably draconic in nature. She is an imposing individual, standing at about six-foot-eight. Her face is the visage of a dragon snout complete with a mouthful of vicious looking fangs and bony protrusions and in place of skin she has scales, crimson red. On her back she sports a large pair of wings, a symbol among her normally wingless people of a champion destined to one day lead them. Once a proud and noble heritage, these wings now serve only as a reminder of her failure.

Taima came into her prime during the peak of the elemental wars that ravaged Caldonia. Serving in the draconian army, she led her people to great victories at seemingly insurmountable odds and quickly became renowned as a hero and a legend. Unfortunately victory came at a cost. During a final stand against the primordials that had been unleashed upon the land, victory and salvation for Caldonia was seized at the destruction of the draconian homeland. Disgraced, Taima faded into a self-imposed exile far to the north.

Wren is a free-spirited catfolk with a lust for adventure, and this wily catfolk isn't quite ready to succumb to retirement.

Though her features are unmistakably feline in nature one should take care not mistake her for a cat, Wren is no more cat than a human is a monkey. However, characteristics of her distant ancestry still linger in her feline features, including clawed hands, slit pupils, feline ears and tail, distinctly pronounced canines, and a light layering of fur over most of her body.

Wild and mischievous Wren has a knack for causing trouble and getting in over her head. Though, having survived her escapades long enough to reach some semblance of maturity, she has learned to apply her talents professionally, rather than in a strictly recreational capacity.

Quillion Marcarius Barthus

A calm enchanter who always has a trick up his sleeve.

Description
age: 34
weight: 180 lbs
height: 5'11"

Quillin is a middle aged human, wavering between his prime and the weathering effects of age. His hair is thick and the once richly colored brown hair is peppered with gray around his ears and nape. He keeps it short so that it takes less time to maintain and is out of his way. His eyes are the color of dark, polished mohagany with long lashes. He has a masculine face that promises to age well.

Personality
Quill always has a purpose. He appears to many to be detached from the world and that isn't an unfair assesment. He likes to take a step back and analyze a problem before he solves it. He is slow to anger, and tends to be far too wrapped up in his own curiosities to hold a grudge or seek revenge. He isn't a fool to forget, however.

History
Quillin was a young boy during the war that ravaged the land. There was a time when his family had wealth and influence. His older brother resented him and made his home life as miserable as he could manage. Since Quillion was the younger son he decided it would be best if he left and requested that he be allowed to study at one of the last remaining schools of magic in Tiria. As in all things he has tried, he excelled and managed to form friendships with influential members of society. He found over the years that his passion lay within enchanting and it is a field that he is studying in an attempt to help cure the scarred land.

Vaena Caigins

A halfling thief with a fluid sense of morality and a wide streak of trouble.

Description
Vaena is a Halfling, and thus quite short, standing at a meager 4'5". Her bland brown hair is kept in many, small braids that she either braids into larger braids or pulls back into a ponytail (depending on her daily desire or need). Her eyes are a cloudy gray, almost murky in color and are set on an unassuming face, child-like face.
Personality
Vaena tries to take life as she gets it and turn it into something positive. She is more forgiving than most, understanding that sometimes tough times lead people to make tough decisions and do things that they might find morally objectionable. Her views on morality are also fluid instead of in black and white or even shades of gray. Quick with a quip and a jest, Vaena tries to laugh instead of cry.

History
Born after the world had been savaged by war to merchants, the first few years of Vaena's life was full of danger and boring adventure she just could not fathom. As the child of merchants she learned her letters, numbers, and the language of the main clan that they traded with for food and other necessities for the cities. She remembers her father telling her, "Vaena, in today's times, food is worth more than gold to men, but gold isn't bad to have either." Before she could become proficient in her education, Vaena's parents were ripped away from her in a bandit raid. Listening to her mother, and trusting that her parents would rejoin her, she fled towards the city and waited in vain for them.

Eventually she was taken in by the urchin crime boss and taught how to be a thief.
