New User Greetings! I am newbie!

Okay, so I know there's supposed to be some kind of introduction thread made if I want to be approved, so I will admit, I'm mostly doing this for that sake.

So, I'm a newbie here, obviously, and I absolutely love roleplay, particularly the text-based kind. I do tend to use the same two characters for roleplays, one of them just a regular girl (I tend to say she's me with a more interesting life), and the other is a demon and part of story I'm working on. There's six of the demons, really, but I always go back to the oldest brother.

Okay, sorry for the rambling. Feel free to talk with each other (and hopefully me cause I'm already ignored enough irl), just be nice and have fun!

Do you prefer 1X1 or group rps? Also do you have any genres that you enjoy? My own personal favorites are Sci-fi and High Fantasy.

I often end up in one-on-ones, but I will join group rps as long as it's not too busy and it's pretty easy to keep up with. And I honestly don't know about favorite genres, maybe I just haven't experimented with the varieties enough..

I used to have a demon character, too. I tried to make all of my characters a little different from each other, just to keep my writing skills honed. It's easy to get so caught up in just a few characters that I might start writing the same things for different stories. Still, it is also hard to keep up with a bunch of different characters. Even the other players can get confused. During one story, one of the other players called my character by the name of a character in another story we were writing. It gets confusing sometimes.

Yeah, and it can also get slightly confusing when a majority of the characters are all the same gender. My demons are all brothers, so the younger ones end up as side characters a lot and I try the best I can to discern one demon from another when two of them are in a scene, but I do doubt myself about it sometimes.

I've never tried a 1x1 RP, but it sounds interesting. Well, one of my old RPs ran pretty long and all of the other writers eventually left until there were only two of us, but I don't think that counts.

^ No worries over that. We don't expect everyone to LIKE writing these. I know I always hated doing them. (Secretly this is just a way to share my hatred of them, with everyone). All we ask is that people make the effort

That said, don't forget to also swing by some of our other community forums. Once you get some more posts up in some of our community areas, we'll be able to get your account reviewed for approval. I recommend browsing through the Main Lobby, Writer's Circle, or Creative Writing forums. All are great choices to look for threads that might interest you.

In the meanwhile if you need assistance with anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
