Returning User Set Sail Again!

Captain Cannonfists

Nuisance of the High Seas
Captain Cannonfists sails the high seas once more! Not sure what made me want to come back, but that's okay 'cause I also don't remember why I left! I guess I just get a hankerin' to rp every couple of months, that probably counts as a bad habit because it's a bit tough to just jump right into things around here. Things can be slow sometimes too, but that'll hopefully change when the site gets more popular, and that ain't gonna happen if folks like me keep leaving, so here I am again! Looking forward to more good times.

I've left many rp sites and not gone back. The only rp site I stay on and that is my main site for all my Lore and characters, is Deviantart
So I kind of understand where your coming from
May I ask why did you leave in the first place?

Probably the slow pace of things around here, my desire to write is pretty inconsistent, so I like an environment where I can either be constantly involved in roleplay or can easily jump in and out. Storyteller's Circle has neither of those qualities for two reasons: The small size of the site means there aren't enough rpers to just jump in with a new group whenever your current one is on a break, and the lack of rpers making use of the site on mobile means most players have a pretty small time window when they're available. Didn't know people used Deviantart for rp though, is it usually like a thing for one on one or small groups, or do you get big projects over there as well?

As I said in my other comment, I'd recommend Amino. It is very fast paced and rapid with everyone on. It's basically the haven for text message fast rapid rpers and rping.
Thus not for me as I'm a lot slower but you may enjoy it

Now for Deviantart
Deviantart has a massive rp community but it's basically the Amino community on a slower schedule
Deviantart has countless rp groups and I'd say it's a lot more than Amino. I'm not in any of them but rp groups are HUGE over on Deviantart. Amino is more like rapid text rping. Devianart is similar but you'll see hundreds of rp groups with thousands in each one so they have a much higher emphasis on group rps

Hey there and welcome back :)

If it helps at all, the site definitely has continued to grow since you departed. We regularly sit in 2nd place on TopRPSites these days, have a steady influx of new users arriving daily, and our forum activity continues to grow day by day.

Some rough statistics for you. Of course, don't take these as gospel, they frequently fluctuate based on various factors and variables. But it should give you a rough overview of what to expect. We of course still largely emphasize a community driven user base rather than sheer numbers so you won't see the activity levels of some of the more massive RP sites, but you'll definitely find a steady growth.
