Altuet is a small earthen village undetected and perched in the cliff-ridden valley between the two great mountains. Streams and waterfalls rush all over, leaving a never ending hush of nature whispering into all people of the valley. The population of Altuet is 200+, with traders often visiting for it’s good metals and interesting native plants that offer interesting yields. The town could grow and expand to new limits, but the people are humble, and choose to keep their home as it is. Those who wish to move to greater heights generally are encouraged to travel, but are expected to come home.
The land which Altuet inhabits is dominated by dragons. The people worship most of these dragons for their godlike powers and mystique. These dragons do not associate with humans, and the more important a dragon is to nature and the other dragons the more aggressive they are. Though, as there are classes with humans, there are classes amongst these dragons. The lowest dragons are those who are small (roughly one and a half meters tall and three meters long, when the great dragons can be the size of mountains). These tend to be looked down upon by even humans, but are generally avoided for they are still feared in a sense.
No dragon can die of illness or old age, but all dragons can die of external influences such as attacks from other creatures. Mostly all dragons are hundreds to thousands of years old, and their eggs take at least a hundred years to hatch.
Back to the village, the occupations are that of any small village: the blacksmith, the farmers, the hunters, miners, etc.. The traditions are very close to family, where the leader(s) of the household will operate the business, and those who need workers typically pull from their family first, then offer work to others who need work. The mines are the largest business, giving work to a large portion of the people, and owned by one person. One of the other successful businesses belong to the Vieves’. Azusa and Hakeem Vieves are both botanists who provide the village with many hard to find plants, and make medicines and drinks out of mostly everything, making them strong partners with the town’s doctors. They’ve chosen their first born daughter, Zora, as their apprentice, and she has received in-depth knowledge of all things plants from the day she turned eight.
Now, Zora is growing into a young woman, and her curiosities have grown beyond plants, and she is far more interested in the dragon lore of the town.
For this roleplay, I’d like to keep the characters mostly teenagers or young adults as cohorts with Zora,(me;0) but there is really no restriction on who you can be. I’d also like it if there could be a dragon. Not a great dragon, but one of the smaller dragons, to keep everyone generally on the same level (but if you've got a good idea for a big ol dragon than u do it). These kids can be of any family which you choose, feel free to come up with a profession which their family runs. In terms of characters I have a simple sheet you can use to tell me all I need to know. Questions are also welcome!

So, I have a dragon character already made, if it's all right with you, I could change him up a bit and drop him onto this. XD.
I love the idea, and would love to be a part of this.

If you'd like to take a look at me my dragon, I'd be happy to share my character sheet with you.

I really enjoy these types of roleplays and I'd love to join in. I was considering the fact that there seems to be water and streams everywhere and started to think about a fishers daughter living not too far away from the village. So if that would fit I'd like to develop this character further. But I'd probably take on this task tomorrow since it's quite late and when tired I usually get the worst (or the best depending on your point of view) ideas.

I really love and agree with that idea about the fishers' daughter. I don't want to make you sleep deprived, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you've come up with tomorrow, but if you have any thoughts now I'm open to discuss. :)

Okay, English is not my first language so may I ask that does descendancy mean I tell something about the characters parents and family? I couldn't find a perfectly descriptive translation for that word.
Sorry and thanks in advance!

I'm hoping to hear about your character's family and what they generally do. Looking back at the sheet now I see that it isn't a very good sheet, but I'll just change it later. Status among the town means how wealthy they are and with who do they associate with. It's a small town but there are some wealthier, snobbier families than others.

Okay thanks for clearing things up. I decided to star thinking about my character today anyway and overlooking what I said a few hours ago =D. Just trying to get started tho, I'll share my ideas tomorrow then.

#edit: Is this village located in a place with four seasons? If not then what is the weather like?

Four seasons and temperate forest!

Name: Cinderwyn-most people call him Cin or Wyn
Age: 16
Appearance: Average height, kinda skinny build, but he's actually pretty lean and athletic from walking all day, messy brown hair, bright light blue eyes that almost look silver, tan skin, some freckles. He has a round face and wears simple clothes that always are patched and well-worn.
Descendancy: No-one is really sure, least of all him.
Backstory: Cinderwyn grew up in the village, but even he remembers that he was somewhere else first, at least for a little while. He showed up in the village when he was still young (maybe five or six), and was taken in due to a coughing sickness that nearly killed him. He'd been dumped there by someone hoping a kid with the coughs wouldn't die, but unwilling to look after them if they survived. After he recovered, he was given a job shepherding, and has done it ever since. He doesn’t spend much time in the village itself, often straying far from it to find good grazing for the sheep. He works and lives in solitude, but he does come into the village proper for festivals and parties and visits the doctor or the trades for supplies at least once a week. He is still a little sickly. He doesn’t put on weight easily and if he gets sick, he really gets sick.
Status Amongst Town: Cinderwyn is a little bit of an outcast. He has no family, and due to his painful shyness and isolation, doesn’t know very many people. Most of the villagers think of him as a polite and helpful boy, who will always do a task for you and do it well, but still an outsider. He wasn’t born here, after all, and he spends all his time off in the hills with the sheep.
Other Notes: Just some personality and strengths weaknesses stuff, Cinderwyn is very shy, and doesn’t have much in the way of schooling. He is very forest clever though. He has seen dragons before-may even have befriended a little one (Glitch???) and knows how to survive away frm the comforts of the village. Anything he needs, he can make, and he is of a very temperate mindset, being able to take most upsets very calmly, never arguing. He doesn't talk much, but that's mainly cause he's inexperienced with people. And he probably has a massive crush on someone in the group.

Also, I have a noble char I can stick in to make up numbers if we need them but I'll stick one for now haha

Name: Spitz
Appearance: Spitz sits around a meter tall and appears to be somewhat young. The dragon's scales are a dark navy blue all around with the exception of a slightly lighter blue for his underside. Small dots and shapes align Spitz's forehead, back, forearms, and tail; Each of symbol glows as he is bio-luminescent. (Also, tongue, blood, and spit as well glows)
Descendancy: (Mother): Reina (Father) ???
Backstory: Spitz was hatched and raised by his Mother, Reina, in an small cave on the opposing sides of one of the two mountains that hid the small town. Years later, Reina had to forbid the dragonet from exiting the cave constantly as he'd begun to mature; Despite such warnings, this all changed one late night. Spitz had managed to slip out from his home and venture the area around the mountain with his Mother asleep and unaware of his disappearrence. During this time, Spitz had managed to stumble across the small village of humans littleways from their cave, which excited the youngin, and he raced back to Reina. Upon returning, Spitz found his mother quite literally almost torn in half as was barely alive from the struggle she had just endured.
Taking her last breath after attempting to calm the sobbing dragon, she uttered the one last final word: "Dulemoctow" Spitz stayed with her deceased body for weeks on end, mourning and contimplating what to do and where to go next before finally making up his mind to go and attempt to tell the humans what'd happened.
Strangely after telling them the story of his Mother's murder, many sermed to be quite ignorant of him; Especially when he mentioned the last word he was told "Dulemoctow". As each day went by, he'd begun to see a trend within many of the humans he'd talked to about this with. They always seemed to be fearful of him afterwards and if not, then he was often deemed a liar. These rude ways of treatmentment begun to eat awau at Spitz's emotions and grow on him. Weeks later, he'd begun to steal food and further on, objects that simply intriguid him. His personality had begun to erode away...
Status Amongst Town: Constantly looked down upon and hated. Spitz has earned himself the titles Rat Dragon, Overgrown Lizard, and much more offensive sayings. Few know his name and little to none like him.
Other Notes: (The color of his bioluminescence is an aquagreen. Also, all his bodily fluids have an PH/Acidity.(In other words, he's an Acid Dragon) Spitz can collect large amounts of saliva in his mouth and shoot it outwards, but he's very limited and slow in doing so)

(I'll be fixing and tweaking the post as im sure i'vemade a ton of little mistakes)

If you have that character typed up I'd like to see it, and if its not too much we can incorporate them if we don't get at least one more human on board in the next 24 hours :)

Name: Fenrin Talier
Age: 18
Appearance: Tall and athletic, with a sword strapped to his side and swept back dark hair, Fenrin has a light tan and strong features with a pointed chin, a long, straight nose, prominent cheekbones and bright green eyes in a handsome face. He wears subdued clothes that have touches of his riches on them-gold embroidery here, lace ruffles there, silver buckles and brass buttons. He has a signet ring with a ruby that he always wears, and another with his family crest.
Descendancy: The favoured son of the village's mining overlord. They run the mines and do all the trade on everything that comes out of it.
Backstory: Fenrin is his father's favourite son and has fought his way to that position through ruthless manipulation of the workforce and the ledgers. He is extremely clever when it comes to figures and how to maximise produce. He is also a good trader and has managed to discredit and outsmart his siblings into his father's good graces. He is now in the position of taking over the business when he inherits, and no-one looks to challenge him.
Status Amongst Town: Fenrin's family are tolerated in the village. His father controls the town's major export and the workforce but also manages to keep the village wealthy enough that they need not worry about the outside world, and provides a lot of work. So they are tolerated. They are very wealthy for a small village and style themselves as nobles in touch with the workers.
Other Notes: Fenrin makes deals, and expects deals to be honoured but if he can twist words or avoid having to give anything up, then he will. He fancies himself amoral, but he will almost always, if grudgingly, honour deals. He is very clever, but sees people as resources. That means he knows how to use them, and how to make them useful. He is arrogant and very used to getting whatever he wants and never having to worry about what other people want or think.

This is my character sheet. I know a portion of this was explained in my original post but I just realized I should make an obvious reference point for Zora. :)

Name: Zora Vieves
Appearance: One of her defining features is her height. Most people in the village are relatively on the shorter side, and her family contains probably the tallest genes amongst all the villagers. She stands at 5'9". She has long, thick red hair and eye brows that often cover her face. From spring until fall she will remain generally shoeless. Her clothes are worn and dull, but she likes them that way since the dirt that gets swept up in them don’t bring down her look. She smiles a lot, and all of the time maintains a slight glimmer of contentment. She has a fuller figure but is still healthy. Her skin is very fair and and her face is defined, like her parents.

Descendancy: Her mother Azusa and father Hakeem Vieves are both highly skilled botantists who have inherited and added to many books written about the plant life of their world. They are one of the most intelligent and established families, though deeply rooted remain relatively small, since their occupation doesn’t need them to mate like rabbits.

Backstory: Zora’s nearly sixteen and is one of two children in her family. Her younger brother by only a year has gone away to travel by the opportunity given by their uncle, who has taken him in as the apprentice for the “away business.” She was close to him and missed him, but enjoys her own time alone too much to dwell on his absence. When she was much younger she and her brother were often criticized for their intense fascination with plants and the unknown, but as children her age grew to accept them, especially her, she became a more respected individual.

Status in the village: They are a liked and appreciated family though remain rather less involved with the town. They’re a nose-in-the-books group of people, and choose to be more focused on experimenting with new plants rather than join in the small festivities that occur often in the streets. Their contributions to science and potions in the village earn them a high key of respect.

Other Notes: She’s very much a loner. She knows fully well how to socialize and make good friends and joke a lot, but would rather do her own thing as an apprentice botanist. She isn’t insecure and when curious or knows what she wants, will be blunt.

Name: Casse Ravenot

Age:
16

Appearance:
Outer:
Casse is quite skinny, but she is not as weak as she looks. She has built some muscle from working in her family’s garden and walking to the village and back. Only the food shortage keeps her from gaining the look of a well being, healthy young lady.
Casse’s long, reddish brown hair is almost always tied up to a high ponytail. A few strands of hair set aside her dark green eyes. Her face is narrow and has a hollow tone to it. Casse has the hands of a gardener, dirty and a few calluses around the palm.
For clothes Casse usually wears worn out dresses that reach down to her knees and with no sleeves. She sees these types of clothes as most practical for her work. She also likes to tie a rope around her waist which makes the dresses not so tight to her torso.
Inner:
Casse has grown to be very responsible after spending years following her parents’ lead and guidance. She does not often engage in interaction with strangers; not because she’s shy or introverted but because she has little to no time due to work at home. Because of her lack of experience Casse can be a bit awkward in social situations. Casse always wants the best for her family and drives to make their life better. She doesn’t give herself to anyone easily but if that happens, Casse has learned to work for her community’s best and will go to many lengths to pursue it.

Descendancy:
Casse’s mother is a fisher and father takes care of their small vegetable garden and business in town. Her mother guides Casse with fishing and she takes care of the vegetables with her father. She also gets some contact with the villagers when her father takes Casse to go buy supplies with him.
During winter when snow and ice cover their lands and all fish have escaped to the sludge of the stream, the family is short on food. Until spring arrives and the ice melts away, they get only the occasional unfortunate fish that catches the hook. As their garden is dead at winter too they must use their food storage from summer very sparingly. The shortage of food forces Casse’s father to visit the village more often. Usually during these times Casse goes with him because there is no reason for her to stay home.

Backstory:

Casse has lived her entire life in a cottage by one of the streams, where her parents settled down decades ago. She started gradually learning fishing and vegetable gardening skills with the guidance of her family. She has also picked up some useful knowledge about wild plants and berries, but really just the basics since her family does not use them as livelihood.
When Casse was younger she used to wander around the village more. She made a few friends there and got to know her way around. While her duties at home grew she was not able to access the village as often anymore. Now she visits the village itself very rarely outside of trips to various stalls for equipment.

Status Amongst Town:
Casse’s family is not wealthy at all but they manage with fishing and their vegetable garden. They do get some money for their needs from selling a few of the fish they have caught. Usually they work this out by selling the fish to a merchant but in fall Casse’s father sets up a booth for selling the fish himself. This way they get a bit more money that they will need during cold winters.

Other Notes:

//I kind of touched up on her personality and such earlier so if I figure out something else I might add it here. For now this slot is empty though.//

So I got insperation and created Melany. I hope you like her. I wasn't completly sure if her story would fit inside of your world.
Name: Melany (20 years old) (the people in the village call her dragon girl)
Appearance: Melany is long and slender. She has long messy orange hear, green eyes and pale skin that never really tanned with lot of freckles. She wears multiple layers of clothes to keep her warm in the mountains and sturdy shoes. Her clothes are pretty worn down and dirty. On her back she wears an old backpack were she carries al her stuff in. She also caries an knife around for things like cutting meat in pieces.
Descendancy: Orphan of traders. Adopted by the dragon: Nela
Backstory: Melany’s parents were traders coming along the little village. Her parents became ill and they stayed behind in the little village when the rest of the group travelled further to the city for the winter. Sadly, they didn’t survive their illness and little Melany was left alone. Not wanted by the people in the village she grew distance of humans. When the little Melany was walking on the market trying to find something to eat. The little hungry girl managed to steal an apple. Unfortunate one man did notice. He laid his hand on her shoulder and whispered “This is the first warning little girl.” And then he let her go. Scarred and feeling guilty the little Melany ran away from the village into the mountains, were she always felt more at home. A middle-sized dragon got sight of the little girl running away from the humans and came down to the little girl. At first the girl was a little scared for the dragon but fastly that fear went away and the dragon became like a mother for the girl. Over the years Melany came more and more distant of the humans and only came to the village when really necessary.
Status Amongst Town: The people in the village don’t like Melany. Since she basically only comes into the village to steal what she needs and leave again. However, they don’t dare to interfere, scared to anger the dragon. (Some miners saw Melany with the dragon and spread the word). She has some friends among the dragons but always remain a bit of an outcast since she is human.
Other Notes: Melany is really on herself and don’t really talk with other humans. Not that she is shy she just doesn’t trust them and nobody really would talk to her. She might talk to another human if she would meet one alone and is sure that he/she is not going to hurt her. With dragons she is a bit more comfortable although she remains reserved. She can run fast and learned to climb rocks pretty well over the years. She is also good at stealth. Because she lived with the dragons for so long she doesn’t know a lot about the human traditions and habits. She does have basic knowledge about plants and survival skills.

How many characters are we allowed to have? As I was hoping to make a human character and a dragon ((I shall join the dragon party!)) but I am totally cool with just making a human character is necessary!

Two are totally fine! As long as we've got our human numbers up everything is A-Okay!
