Widowmaker then stood past Kiratta and introduced herself to the group as well.

"The name's Widowmaker. You don't need to know my real name." She exclaimed as she kept her weapon held out. "I'm not sure if Reaper let you in on who we are, but incase he hasn't then the less you know about us the better. Me and Reaper are a duo, a pair of operatives skilled in our crafts. You'll be glad to have us in your company. Also, don't mind my edgy partner over there."

"Widowmaker..." Reaper exclaimed in a minor fit of anger. "Anyways... That's us. Consider us your temporary allies. Once all of this is over, let's not cross paths again."

"Right. Well I like your woman companion a lot more than you, Reaper." Hector exclaimed.
"I agree with Hector. Widowmaker is more reasonable than you." Ephraim added.
"I like Widow more, she seems to be more sociable than you." Even Terra agreed with the group.

"Hmph. Whatever. Well, that's our introduction. Now let's get back to business."

Yang continued to stroll around the broken world, confused as to why she was there and why she was teleported to such a place. As a huntress of Beacon Academy, she was not trained for this sort of thing. As she continued walking around, she overheard the sound of someone yelling as well as a faint sound of combat, which got Yang hyped up. "Finally some action! Was getting bored roaming this place, whatever it is. Can't a girl just kick some butt in a familiar setting?" She then began running towards the source of the commotion.

Once she had arrived, she stood on a hill and spotted what appeared to be a young man... using Ice Powers? This reminded her all too well of one of her teammates, Weiss Schnee or as she nicknames her from time to time; Ice Queen. Standing over a hill top with the wind blowing her hair, she yelled out to the man.

mGGYaB8.png

"Hey! You happen to know this place? I got dumped here and am looking for some action!"

@Blacksmith

Corrin shook her head. She really didn't like Reaper, and this Widowmaker woman was a suspect as well. They obviously weren't keen on playing nice, and if they decided to stab them in the back the moment the coast was clear, there was going to be a battle.

But her teammates seemed to like Widowmaker more, so for now, she would trust them.

"One of our allies has gone missing. We suspect she has been taken by Ultros, a tentacle slime beast. We're following the trail. Any help from you three would be welcomed."

@Raynar Saassin @Agent Puncake @Steely

Cal had left by the time Widowmaker introduced herself, but he heard her - just barely - as he walked briskly away from the group. Out of the three newcomers, only the Kiratta girl looked at least halfway decent. The other two were more edgy mercs than, well, human beings. Judging from their flippant tones, he had exactly zero doubt that they'll stab him in the back the moment they're off the hook, no questions asked. Especially-

Slime. Fuck ton of 'em.

Cal cautiously peeked out from behind a fallen slab of concrete, standing almost on its own, half-supported by a section of a broken building. The slime congregated there, went all over the place for a bit... and the trail disappeared into the darkness between two derelict buildings.

Great.

After a bit of consideration, he disengaged one of his Iris drones and made it to hover near his hiding place, cloaked until it could detect friendly signatures. Then, he left his spot, sighed, and followed the trail once again.

@Raynar Saassin @Hahli Nuva @Steely

He looked up sharply at Yangs voice, an oddity in their surroundings. It was far too jovial, which said either a psychotic mindset or a coping mechanism for trouble. Neither really said much about his choices, but an inner voice that sounded suspiciously like an old friend in the police force urged him on. She was the first friendly person he met so far, or at least was inclined to talk. That alone elevated her heads and shoulders above everyone else.

So he made a conscious choice and jogged up the hill, letting her take him in as he did the same to her. He was a tall man, broad in the shoulder. His staff was hand carved, with repeated runes engraved along and around it. Over one eye, a scar would be seen and he avoided her eyes on purpose. Finally, he spoke.

"Kid, I got up this morning and the only thing on my mind was whether or not hot dogs constitutes breakfast. I have no idea where I am now, aside from the fact that green flash was most likely responsible. You a native?"

@Raynar Saassin

"Seeing as that's our only option at this point, we might as well." Widow exclaimed, nodding to Corrin as Reaper just kept silent. "So where's this trail of yours?"

"It's over here." Hector exclaimed, calling them over to the trail which appeared to continue to go on towards a pair of derelict buildings. "It seems to go towards those broken down buildings. This might be a trap."

"In which case, since you clearly don't care as much about us, I'll go in first and scope out the area. Thanks to my Shotguns, close quarters is my speciality." Reaper declared as he took ahead of the group and followed the trail, which resulted in an sighing Widowmaker.

"Sigh... Jumping in instead of scoping out the area first." She exclaimed as she plopped her mask down and scoped out the area. "There are numerous people inside of that building. Or things, whatever those monsters are. And one that appears to be an octopus and... a fish in a suit of armour?"

"Yep, that's Undyne." Ephraim responded to Widowmaker's Question.

"Well, if I were a native, I wouldn't be asking for directions, now would I?" Yang commented. "Well, I don't know who this Green Flash you describe is, but he sounds pretty cool. Anyway. Name's Yang, Yang Xiao Long. But you can just call me Yang, it's easier that way. I'm a huntress, which basically means I get to beat up evil monsters and protect the world, or in this case, my world."

@Blacksmith

Corrin used Omega Yato to cut down a piece of debris that was blocking their way. She scanned th ebuildings, taking note that there were indeed monsters located within. Time for a plan.

"We're going to need to split up. One party tackles the monsters while the other confronts Ultros."

He shrugged. "You'd be surprised how often I forget the way in my old apartment." At the rest of her explanation, he looked mildly interested before saying brightly.

"Those were words! No context whatsoever, though if you didn't experience a green flash of light like me..." His voice trailed off as he frowned, instincts from the mundane and magical sides working on a theory. A moment later he asked.

"Does the name 'Chicago' mean anything to you?"

@Raynar Saassin

The tiny drone de-cloaked and flew in front of the group, beeped a few times, and flew into the buildings. Whatever it meant my that, it probably means that Cal's in there, somewhere, and he probably needs some serious reinforcement.

Kiratta used the lack of attention deposited on her to properly analyze those who they had just met with. She wasn't one to accuse others of being weak or antiquated for their looks, though most of these new bunch appeared to be in a bit of a disadvantage, specially since she and her two unlikely companions were armed with ranged weaponry. Of course, they could easily be hiding greater powers or abilities, so she wouldn't just treat them as inferiors just yet. After all, she was certainly the one with the least offensive power out of the entire group.

When they mentioned hunting down some Ultros by their 'trail', she simply followed the group, watching their surroundings with the corners of her eyes. The area was eerily quiet for now, save for their chatting, something that left her tense. She didn't like this place one bit, that was obvious. It simply reeked of smoke and death, and the atmosphere was one of constant threat. Still, her musings were interrupted as she caught sight of a small drone popping into view, in a similar fashion to how cloaking devices worked for stealth-based ships. Her eyebrows furrowed together as it beeped, its odd language sounding somewhat familiar thanks to her knowledge of drone beeping and communication patterns. From the little sounds it made, she guessed that it was here to relay a distress message of sorts.

"Hey, everyone..." She called out a bit louder, to make sure everyone heard it. "Does that droid belong to anyone you know? I couldn't fully get understand what it relayed, but it sounded like a distress signal. Whoever owns it must be in trouble."

Chaotic world this place was. With all the fire, explosions and mass death, this once was a very beautiful place to live. This destroy city was once brussling with life. The population was around seven million, mostly put of around middle-aged humans. The place was a cultural haven, with many different tourist attractions from statues, pieces of artwork, famous buildings and bridges, all of it made up the identity of this once gorgeous centerpiece of what was a once proud nation. Then in a flash of light, it came tumbling down. Literally.

It was a bomb that started it. A well placed bomb in the capital building, killing several very important officials in office, and in that confusion, in came an army. They didn't invade right away, they were put in places that would keep them out of trouble until the time was right. It was meant to allow any civilian evacuations from the city in case this was a terrorist attack. It was around dawn that the army finally invaded. The city had roadblocks and their own military patrolling the streets, but they were truly prepared for the might of the invaders.

A battlefield between two sides became three in less than an hour as another army joined in the fight. Then another. And another. Pretty soon monsters started showing up, and within a month, a city made off cultural diversity became a war zone of pure brutality. For one individual, it was a beautiful sight.

Standing in that capital building, someone in a black suit looked over the still burning embers of the street the building was located. A fight had occured there only a few hours ago, but like the rest of the city, what remained were bodies. He was proud of his work. As he stood there, he recieved a message. Something important had come up. "The Doctor has arrived."

Now the show could truly begin.

In the meantime however.........

Down below the building of were the main group was, two men were finding themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. See, the two met by fighting off Nazi's who happened to have claimed a part of the city as their territory. And that territory was were they were teleported in.

"LEFT SIDE, LEFT SIDE!!" The Scottish man yelled, firing at a German group of four trying to flank them. He fired at them, but hit none; getting to cover before any could be wounded. "Shit!" He yelled again, reloading his weapon. Both were hiding behind two concrete pillars on the bottom floor. They were cornered in, and from a quick glance around they were trapped. They could only go up, but that meant death trap. The Nazi's could hold out outside and send teams up to get them, but then again, it would be like they were running low on ammo if that happened.

"We gotta go up!" The other man said, speaking with a southern accent.

"We do that, we're trapped inside! We should go below, see if there's a sewer system we can get into!" He answered back, firing off some more rounds; hitting a German approaching.

"And if there ain't one?" The southern man fired back as well, hitting some more Nazi's as well. "We go below and there isn't an exit, we're as good as fucked. We go high, we have some hiding places to take these bastards out." He suggested.

After a moment of thinking, he nodded. "Alright, I'll cover you! Get to the stairs!" The Scotsman ordered, laying down suppressing fire, as the Southerner ran for the stairway door near the back.

"That drone... it belongs to Cal!" Terra exclaimed as she recognised the look and design of said drone. "Split into two parties? Okay then... Whoever's going to take on Ultros will come with me. Everyone else would be better suited keeping his monster friends off us."

"I'm with Terra." Hector exclaimed as he walked over to where Terra was. "I'm more for dealing with single opponents anyways."

"I'll lead the party that deals with the monsters, leaving Terra's party to deal with Ultros." Ephraim stated as he stood separately from the group. "Who's joining me on the front-lines?"

"Me and Reaper will split up, joining both parties. This would be a better tactic than both of us going with one person so you can use us to keep regular updates on both groups. I'm with Ephraim." Widowmaker exclaimed as she took a side next to him. "I can pick off important targets from a distance with my Sniper Rifle."

"I'm going with the girl's party. You'd want someone with my stopping power and similar to our big axe-wielding thug over there, I work best against individual targets." Reaper then walked over to Terra and stood with her. His words caused Hector to argue. "I'm not a thug, edge-lord. Keep your thoughts to yourself, I still don't trust you yet." "Cut out that crap. There's no use for infighting."

"Corrin? Are you coming with us or are you going with Ephraim's party?~" Terra asked, looking towards Corrin with a smile on her face.

"Kiratta. Where are you going then? You going to take on this Ultros enemy or are you coming with me?" Widowmaker asked, looking towards the rebel pilot.

""She-cargo?" Nope. Don't know any place named "She-cargo"" Yang replied with a confused look on her face. Chicago was definitely not the name of a town or nation in the world of Remnant. "Sounds like a pretty cool place though. But as far as I'm aware there's no town called "She-Cargo" in Remnant... Anyways, who are you? You looked like you used Ice Dust there when I watched you on this hill-top." She asked, commenting on his ice-like abilities.

@Blacksmith

As the southerner was running towards the stairs, he would experience a bump as he had ran into what appeared to be a machine standing in the way. It was a tall droid coloured in orange and was holding what appeared to be a futuristic gun in it's hands. It began to speak towards the Southerner.

"Observation: It seems like you are trying to run away from something, meatbag. I also see that there is the sound of battle going on behind you as I recognise gunfire and conflict. Query: Would you like my assistance? I am more than happy to activate my Assassination Protocols and commence termination of hostilities."

@Bobby the Prussian

"He tried to assault you...?" Terra asked with a disgusted look on her face as she felt Corrin's disgust. "He did the same to me too... We were on a raft heading to a town when he wrapped a tentacle on my leg and tried to pull me into the river..."

"Yikes. That's not nice." Hector exclaimed with a similar look of disgust as he looked over to Corrin. "We'll definitely beat him up quite a bit for what he did to you and Terra. When we found you in his clutches, I cannot imagine what that was like."

Shen sighed and turned towards the Major. "Eedah-yuhkoh, woh gah raykoh. Woh dohmo gah mehoh." he said firmly in Sangheili, preventing Raynar from follwing the conversation. However, it was somewhat clear what the conversation was about that, that the Field Master was explaining the situation to the Storm Covenant soldiers.

"Tashee no-" started the Major, but was quickly silenced by the look on Shen's face. "...Gah kuhtahshee cheennsay jah mehoh, Chohkah." said the Major eventually, though clearly reluctant. A short conversation, also in Sangheili followed for about a minute or two. When the exchange of words was over, Shen turned towards Raynar.

"As long as this truce lasts, my men will not toutch you...But they will be under orders to kill you at even the slightest attempt at backstabbing." warned the Field Master. "According to the Major, the majority of the crew survived and is here with us. Some of the technology is still intact, but they can't get the ship up just yet...They're currently looking around the ship to see if any Huragok came with us. We know of at least one, but it may not be able to fix the engines on its own." he explained.

Welp, it was official. They weren't in Kansas anymore and if this place wasn't remotely connected to his world or hers, there was a chance this either actually was a portion of the Nevernever or someplace beyond it. Magic on a scale of that power and little fuss though made his hackles raise. Though at Yangs question, it did bring up one idea. He held his hand up and muttered aloud.

"Infrigi." This time, he drew upon the Mantle of the Winter Knight, curious if it would still be here. It was. He could feel his mind turning predatory, seeing only things to assert dominance or worse. He made it a point not to look at Yang under that influence and when he slowly, exhaled a stream of steam-like your breath on a cold day would come, as the mild aura of chilling winter retracted from his presence. In his hand, a crystal of ice would be resting on his palm. He looked at it and felt a little relieved. So long as he had the Mantle, it meant one more card in his deck and the possibility that Mab would try to find him. Aloud, he spoke.

"Not sure what dust is myself- From the way you refer to it, I presume its an elemental augmentation? Well Miss Xiao Long, allow me to introduce myself now." Letting the crystal drop from his hand, he looked her in the nose and leaned on his staff.

"My name is Harry Dresden. And I'm a wizard."

@Raynar Saassin

"Hmm." Raynar exclaimed, following the words of Shen carefully as to not end up pissing off both him and his fellow comrades. To think that a Spartan would be working with the elites, especially after they've eliminated a group of people close to him? He wasn't exactly in the best of moods to work with the enemy, but this time it was a necessity. "How about we take a vehicle or two and have a look around? Maybe more of your alien buddies are hanging around waiting to be picked up."

@Wyvern Rider

Yang was following his speech, word for word, making sure she paid attention despite that not being one of her strong suits in class. So what he used was not what she was familiar with. That's an interesting development to be sure, being able to control the elements without the need of Dust.

"My name is Harry Dresden. And I'm a wizard."

Once he had said this however, Yang shot him a look while putting her sunglasses on because reasons.

"Pfft... Hahahaha! You? A wizard? Like off of those silly TV shows and online video commercials? Hahaha... Haha... You're being serious aren't you?"

"No love potions, endless purses, parties or other entertainment." He added with what looked like a slightly wistfully amused expression. He then raised an eyebrow and added.

"Can't be more weird then saying your power comes from dust bunnies." That teasing aside, he sobered up as he looked around and added. "Actually because of my background, I've been trying to uncover what has been going on around here. To say nothing of why we're here. You meet anyone else on the streets besides me?" He listened carefully to their background as they spoke, one eye on the shadows.

"Nope. You're the only person I've encountered that was friendly. Although I wouldn't count those monsters as friendly." She exclaimed, brushing her hair back as it was starting to blow into her face. "Well, Dust Bunnies is a funny way of putting it, but I don't actually use dust. I have these gauntlets on my arms." She then held out her arms as a pair of yellow gauntlets were on-top her wrists. Upon closer inspection, it looked like several shotgun shells were inside them. "I punch things. So I got to look strong and awesome like a complete badass. Too bad I don't have my bike with me, kinda left it at the academy when I went out to do some training."

@Blacksmith
Harry eyed the gauntlets with a critical once over. The craftsmanship was excellent, artistic even but there was no disguising their purpose. What really got him was the shotgun shells, before he chuckled aloud.

"Well, whatever works. And I guess we'll just have to walk. Now then." He looked around from their hilltop viewpoint before he mused to her.

"....Pick a direction? Or try to head to the artillery lines?"

@Raynar Saassin

Kiratta pondered on her options as the others took their sides, all of them being somewhat suitable to the tasks at hand. She knew not of what this 'Ultros' was, but from what she heard, it was something quite on par with a Rancor in size. With that in mind, the task of taking out the minor enemies appeared to be more within her skill set. She was only equipped with a pistol, with limited ammunition and low stopping power. It'd work a thousand times better against multiple enemies than some large, certainly powerful entity.

Walking over to Ephrim's side, she nodded towards Widowmaker, taking her pistol from its holster. "I'll join you guys on the monster-hunt. I'm not exactly deadly, so I'll do better taking out smaller mooks." She glanced to every member of this hunting party, a questioning look on her face. "Uh... if it isn't much trouble, could anyone see if they can any flying craft around the place? I guarantee you I'll be a whole lot more useful using something on the air."
