It was a new year. Summer was finally, finally over, and she was finally on her way back to school. Though, in all actuality, the young blonde hardly considered Hogwarts to be 'school'. It was practically home, for all intents and purposes; even despite all of the hardship she and all of the other students had faced in their years here. No, that didn't matter one bit to her. After all, all families have problems at one point or another. Obstacles that, regardless of their feelings for one another at certain times, they always come together to fix!
And oh, did she miss her family.
Admittedly, it wasn't like she had been completely isoldeated from this unbiological family over the course of the summer. No, she had sent countless letters and even visited a choice few people occasionally. But more importantly than anything else, she had been constant company to Sam, who was her number one priority. She adored all of her friends, sure, and she treasured Rio with all of her being. But Samael was of her own flesh and blood, even if only partially, and was also the most prone to needing protecting. So it was he that she stood by above all else, and kept a constant teal eye out for. Naturally, any who dared pick on him quickly learned why they shouldn't as well.
That didn't mean she wasn't excited as all hell to be back again, surrounded by friends and fresh faces and more. Much had changed since Voldemort's fall, but she was sure that everything that had transpired was putting them on the path to improvement. But regardless of how bad things had gotten in the past or how much better they were going to be come the future, she bounced in her seat for the entire ride all the same, unable to keep from bombarding both Rio and Sam with commentary and questions from where she sat near them both. After all, they were the two most treasured men in her life; it wasn't as though she'd ever stray far.
Except she kind of did just that come morning.
Intentional it was not, but Isolde had crashed and burned after arriving in the dorms all the same. It would've been nice to get to see her brother or Rio after the ceremony and all to at least utter a good night and a couple of I love you's, even without a hug attached, but even without her brick wall of exhaustion it wasn't as though she was a rampant rule breaker. She wouldn't have snuck out, which also meant she wouldn't have slept late. Even if the idea was probably tempting to some, she had different feelings on the matter. The longer she slept, the longer it was before she could catch up with her friends.
So come morning, she rose early, blew through her classes with anxious and eager but otherwise attentive airs, and tried really hard to not explode due to the extended periods without contact with--
"...Rio? Sammmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyy...?"
Hm. It was lunch period, wasn't it? So why was it that when she walked into the Great Hall that there wasn't even a trace of either of her two most treasured male companions? Confusion lit in her heart for the briefest moment, but flickered out like a dying flame, replaced immediately by worry. It was certain that the pair was fine, but after everything that had happened around this place in the past...
Her mind was set. Any intent to eat was gone, if it had even been there in the first place(she preferred using lunch hour to study anyways), and she immediately took to the halls with her heart of gold racing. "Man, I don't even see Kit-Kat," she muttered to herself with a mild frown, following up by biting her lower lip. Where the bloody hell were they, anyways? Rio may have been sociable, but Samael was hardly the sort to hang around crowds. So if he wasn't in the Great Hall, surely he had to be camped out in some remote hall or room somewhere. She just hoped he hadn't gone too far or shut himself anywhere too nasty.
