Chronicles of The Omniverse Archived The Core Systems: Ostra - Wielden Colony

Mizumi looked at the images and smiled as she saw familiar forms of the giant things. Nodding the fox girl said. "Yep just one is enough to keep me going for a month...couldnt store more or it would all go bad." as for killing one it was rather simple. just had to hit it head on with a magnabeam....the very same attack annie no doubt witnessed Mizumi use to slow down that yamato class ship.

"Bullshit, how'd you kill them??" Annie demanded, rather upset that ANY lone human could kill such a vast creature. Their threat rating was decidedly low considering their size, but that was still an absurd feat...

"Remember that pink beam? im pretty sure you saw it...you'd have to be blind to not spot it. just let the thing come at you head on and fry its brains with the magnabeam." She explained like it was the simplest thing to do. it took guts to even attract the attention of one much less to stand your ground and let it come at you.

Annie bapped Mizumi on the head once again like she did when the girl was asleep. "You Hyadn piss me off, y'know that??" She grumbled, picking up both bowls and skulking away to return them to the vendor.

"Hey to be honest im pretty sure you would be able to pull off the magna repeater." Mizumi said as she rubbed the spot she got hit on her head again.

Annie suddenly reappeared at the table from a different angle from where she left, having covered quite a lot of ground to do so in a very short time. "Gimme that gauntlet and let's see then." She half-seriously suggested.

"You dont need yhe gauntlet to use that spell silly." Mizumi said but summoned platinum shift nonetheless. If Annie tried to pull it off she'd find that the gauntlet was pretty much fused with her arm and would be impossible to remove. Yet once the thing is gone it leaves no marks of itself behind.

"I still doubt I could pull it off. I don't have a lot of mana, really." Annie replied casually. Clearly she'd made peace with it a while ago. "So that gauntlet, I'm betting it has something to do with you, hm?" Annie asked, now directing her attention to Titania.

Titania looked at Annie as she projected an arcane circle. a much smaller version that Mizumi had used a while ago. "Magna repeater originally was found as an enchantment on the ships weapons. it is surprisingly mana efficient for what it does at any scale." The automaton explained then made the circle disappear once again when she asked if she had anything to do with the gauntlet. "Unfortunately i cannot divulge information about this without masters permission."

Mizumi tilted her head at Titania. "Go on ahead... im curious too."

"Alright... I was designed to hard counter which ever mage came in contact with the platinum shift in case they went rogue or lost control over the weapon." Titania explained. and now her being heavy made sense... she was made impossible to lift for anybody but the most strongest physically which gave her the added bonus of being practically immovable as a mountain in close range combat.

"..." Annie lifted up her Opaline to her body, holding it up close to herself. Through the window in the middle a brief summary of Annie's physical and mental attributes was shown, including a numerical value of the mana contained within her body as well as the maximum amount she could hold. Both numbers were quite low, below 100, though it seemed she was near full on mana. "I'm one of those guys who have barely any of mana." She told the other two, before holding up the opaline to Mizumi's chest. "And when you see here.." She tapped on the window, making a clinking noise. "Yeah, you're like 70 of me." She hummed, heavily considering holding it up to Titania as well.

She didn't, though. She did lean in closer to the Magius Engine, looking up at her face. "A built counter to your own master, interesting.." Her tone was pretty disingenuous, making it clear she wasn't actually taking any of this very seriously. Still, she did look pretty serious, so it was clear this little Sli'f had some good acting skills.

"That would be all or nothing for you then." Titania said calmly as she looked at Annies mana output in her own way. She could 'see' a red glow around her while around mizumi that glow was like a fire. Looking over at her own statistics Titania found that she was running quite low on Mana herself. "A counter for platinum shift specifically." She corrected

Mizumi meanwhile had a bit of a hard tome swallowing this but hearing if she went berserk there's at least a chance to not kill everybody around her she let out an internal sigh of relief.

"Pretty much all or nothing, yeah. Unless I got a nice big, fatass chunk of Solt.." Annie held out two tentacles as if she was imagining holding it in her hands. "But anyone can do wonderful things with that kinda dickload of Solt." She would have shrugged if she had shoulders. "A counter to the gauntlet." This confirmed that it's use may have mental side effects as well as physical, that would be useful to know later.

"Hear that? Step outta line and your own robot's gonna drop ya."

Mizumi shrugged. "Hey that good news. at least i wont kill you if you happen to be too close." she said half jokingly only to receive a bap on the head from Titania.

"Bad..." The Automaton seemed to have picked up something from Annie that probed effective against Mizumi so was utilizing it herself now. Looking back at Annie. "Hmm solt...i wonder if any was left in the surprise i plan for you."

"So long as I'm not your first target." Annie leaned forward. "And I'd be pissed if I was." She added, staring intently at Mizumi.

"Hm, what's bad?" Annie asked curiously, now turning to focus on Titania. "I like surprises, let's go get it." Annie suggested hopefully, starting to shiver in excitement.

"No guarantees there." Was all that mizumi said as she stood up while rubbing her forehead. "What was that for Titania?"

"You were getting naughty thoughts master." She replied before turning her attention to Annie. "Access to the disconnected bridge is required."Titania informed Annie and was already prepared to move whenever the Slif was ready.

Annie looked at the two of them. "Naughty thoughts, oh you make me blush." Annie replied in a deadpan tone. "Alright, to the magitech shop." Annie said calmly. "Gonna take liike aa year, you're so sloooww.." Annie grumbled - already impatient despite about five seconds of walking.

"Oh shush or you aint getting it" Titania said, bringing up a sensitive matter for Annie. "Im being slow on purpose i dont want to srush somebody on accident." She said while helping Mizumi get on her back once again where she could take a lil nap.

Annie laughed. "Touchy subject? Oop, wording." She laughed again, she was on a roll! "Aren't you supposed to have spells that help you navigate through asteroid fields? How's a crowd even a bother?" Still, the Sli'f continued at a walking pace.

"walking is far different than flying an Yamato class ship. People have unpredictable movement patterns no gravity fields to read..." she said and already had to dodge aside while somebody else crashed into her side and bounced off.

Annie hummed. "You...are so...old~" She teased playfully, easily weaving between the crowd without hitting anyone, despite coming quite close on more than a few occasions.
