Akashic Arcana A Perfect Blend

The sound of coffee-machines smashing and grinding the delicate coffeebeans, along with the ‘plinging’ of the checkout-area and the elegant introductions- and questions made and asked by the cashier, could be heard echoing throughout the beautiful coffeeshop Christian had decided to visit. Seated on one of the shop’s many elegant couches, he played with the straw between his thick lips. His lithe hand and perfectly clean fingernails held on to the - rather long -, icecoffee-filled glass as he slowly but steadily sipped it; enjoying the structure of crushed icecubes and perfectly branded coffee.

Letting out a satisfied sigh, he looked around. His eyes just went over the numerous heads of those visiting the shop without really seeing them, before concentrating on his icecoffee again. The feelings he had before; disappointment, sadness and anger had almost dissipated and seemed to have made place for loneliness; for none of the students had really tried to befriend him during his time as the Disciplinary Division Commander. Christian had found himself alone and afraid; these feelings so overwhelmingly strong he had retreated to the coffeeshop he had always wanted to visit, but hadn’t had the time to actually go to as Commander. Now, finally there, he had no idea what else he could do. The realization that he still had to try and find his new student dorms, was trying to crawl into his mind in order to cause him to get to work. Yet, after lots of struggles and internal conflict, he managed to put his lips back around the straw; sipping the icecoffee contently.

The late evening’s light shone through the large windows and lit his face up with a slightly warming, enhancing bloom; bringing forward his features just a little more.

After having sipped the majority of the icecoffee, he began to slurp the rest of the icecoffee; a rather un-royal, un-elegant thing to do as a prince and heir to a throne.

He only realized that he was, in fact, slurping after a couple of seconds; causing his eyes to widen tremendously, only to avert down towards the floor soon after; a twinkle in those blue star-like pools. His warm blood had rushed towards his cheeks; coloring them the colour of shame as he felt exactly that; shame.

Lobelia had found herself mindlessly wandering around the shopping district. She wasn't there for a reason in particular but regardless she walked in and out of various stores before finally sticking to window shopping. Her slender frame dressed in a rosegold summer dress, making her ever golden hair appear like strands of gold silk draping down her back as she came to a sudden stop outside of a rather modern looking coffee shop. The mute colors seemed to dim behind the large glass windows that decorated the walls almost inviting her to walk in.

A small ding from the door chimed as she walked in, the sweet aroma of fresh coffee beans embracing her as her heels clicked softly against the white floors, making her way to the counter where she would be greeted by a smile from the young woman working the evening shift.

"What can I get you?" she would say in a cheery customer-service voice.

"I'll just get a hot chocolate if that's okay, hon," Lobelia promptly replied without taking a second look at the menu, almost entirely hoping that they did in fact serve hot chocolate. The exchange was smooth, quick even. Sending her on her way as she waited for the girl to get the drink mixed.

As Lobelia waited she looked around the place, in taking every inch of the place with those big blue eyes of hers. The look on her face closely resembling a child in the middle of an aquarium.

"Your chocolate is ready," the girl behind the counter exclaimed as she motioned towards Lobelia, a smile across her caramel coloured lips as she put the cup down and walked back to the register.

The cup felt warm in Love's warm and carefully manicured hands, her sense of direction taking her to a lonely table near a window, her eyes locked on the cup as she ensured to not drop it, she was very clumsy after all...
