|Shortly after the Combat Exam for Team Solaris|

Artoria didn't get much time to spend with Viktoriya after the combat exam had ended. After helping Xena escort her to the medical ward, Artoria would go to leave the room, only to promptly pass out due to blood loss. It turns out that she had forgotten about her back injury that was bleeding profusely the entire time after it was opened until now.

An unknown amount of time later, Artoria woke up with clothing and armor removed, and she was clad in a hospital gown. She was laying face down on a soft white pillow, feeling a numbed pain on her back. It seemed that her gash had been mostly healed up, though the Princess' head felt like it was filled with bricks. With what movement she could muster, she glanced around to the nearby beds for any familiar faces. Vikki was nowhere to be found. Then Artoria recalled Mago was in really bad shape too, and had been teleported out the moment the exam ended. Perhaps he was nearby?

Masego was indeed in the room with Artoria. But was still unconscious, both arms being pumped full of healing spells. He seemed to be having a nightmare his face contorting with pained anguish.

Xena:

The Secretary had brought Viktoriya to where Artoria was in the medical wing on a wheelchair. The president looked completely different from any form the students had previously seen her in. Long curved horns sprouting from her head, red demonic looking eyes, skin as pale as a ghost, with demon-like long claws. Some would see her as a monster, but Xena handled her with care, wheeling the girl right up to Artoria's bedside. "Look who's awake again. Vikki wouldn't stop pestering me to take her to see you." She said with an amused smile on her face.

Vikki tried her best to look as happy as possible. She was glad that Artoria was alright, and that Xena had been so good at overseeing her recovery. She smiled towards Artoria in her hospital gown and laying on the bed with other students who tried their best to look away from Vikki and Xena.

"I am sorry you had to see me this way Ahren... After a few years of Bio Morph, my real form has suffered a couple of after-effects..." She smiled lightly while tapping at her left horn, which was curved like a mountain goat. Her clawed finger and the contact with the horn produced a metallic tapping noise. "I have to prepare a ritual once every week to maintain my humanity. But it's still me, Vikki..." She smiled nervously towards Artoria, hopefully, her little sister wouldn't be too repulsed by her. Viktoriya's glowing eyes had a murderous red to them.

"I was told by the nurses not to use my regeneration, while my body is recovering mana."

"Ugh.. what happened?" Artoria's vision was barely in focus, and it took a moment for her to tell that the horned figure was her sister. "V-Vikki..?" She clenched her eyes shut, then opened them again, unsure if she was seeing things in her current state, or if that truly was Vikki. "Horns... you look really cool with those, you know that? And those eyes.. scary." It would be unclear if it were the anesthetics that was making the girl delirious, or if she truly thought that. She smiled, and reached out to the President with her left hand.

Seemingly out of nowhere, she would ask "Is Mago gonna be okay? He didn't look too good earlier."

Vikki was dumbfounded, she didn't quite understand Artoria, but then realized, she didn't have to put much thought into it, no matter how they look, they are still sisters. As for Mago, Viktoriya only nodded quietly. "Both his arms are shattered, we'll get him alright before the opening ceremony. As for his mental health, that is up to him. In any case, if he cannot pull through, he will have no place here."

The President, however, lighten up, before she gently held on to Artoria's petite hand. "Ahren... I think it is the time I introduce you to my partner and better-half. Xena Saihara." She smiled softly before reaching out for Xena with her left hand, gently, Vikki brushed her hand against Xena's arm, urging to introduce her better to her little sister.

"She may be a little rough on the outside... But I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend." She smiled back towards Artoria, at this point, she just wanted the two to get along.

Xena scratched the back of her head, face tinged a bit pink from embarrassment as Viktoriya introduced her. Leaning down and planting a little kiss on Vikki's pale cheek, she whispered in her ear. "Flatterer." Xena then looked to the young girl with the gash on her back, extending a hand in greeting. "Hello, I'm Xena Saihara, daughter of Yasuhiro Saihara and heir to the 7th Imperial family of PACT. It's nice to meet you, if you're Vikki's little sister, then you're my little sister." She said with a smile. Those who knew of her reputation within the school would be absolutely shocked at this behavior, the lone wolf acting so kind and courteous was nearly unheard of.

She looked over to Masego, who seemed to now be sweating from whatever nightmare he was currently in. "He looks like he's having a fever dream right now. Let him fight through it, he'll feel better once he wakes up." She said.

Summoning up what little strength she had, Artoria propped herself up into a sitting position on her bed. The open back of the hospital gown would show the Princess' large new scar, a diagonal white jagged line across her back, from her right hip to her left shoulder. Once turned to face the two women, Artoria smiled and took Xena's hand into a friendly greet. "Artoria Pendragon, daughter of King Amhar Pendragon." She paused to remember what titles she had, since they were being formal about it. "Uh.. heir to the throne of Brittania." Another pause. "... and heir to Excalibur, the Sword of Miracles." It was evident she wasn't very good at this.

"A-Anyway, that's really lovely to hear that you found your special someone, big sis." Her attention turned back to Xena "Wait, does that make you big sis, too?" Her smile widened into one of pure joy when Xena confirmed so by calling her 'little sister'. Though it would lessen somewhat as she looked over to Mago. "I hope he didn't hurt himself too badly.. that last attack looked brutal, especially with an already broken arm." Then something seemed to light up in her mind. "Ah." She quickly turned back to Vikki "Y-You have such cool powers! You can transform and stuff! That super regeneration, the.. the spidery thingies from your back, and that strength! You... You broke my visor." Her face turned into somewhat of a pout with that last statement. Then she slowly added "And that incredible barrier you created.. you saved all those first years."

Artoria's attention returned to Xena in a snap. "Ah, you were cool, too. I could barely see it, but you moved so fast!" It was a wonder how the little knight had so much energy after losing at least 2 pints of blood from that one laceration in her back. Perhaps it was the power of youth, as Masego would call it.

Vikki couldn't help but let out a joyous laugh at this whole scene. Everything was so abnormal. The tough delinquent girl who shows great compassion towards herself and her little sister who she just met. The fond memories of the little girl, now grown up to be a fine woman who can take care of herself. However, Viktoriya moved both of her fingers to poke at Artoria's forehead. "Do not think flattery will make me forget your test results..." Vikki voice suddenly became more befitting for her demonic appearance, it was hollow and overall filled with comedic fury.

"I'll have it arranged that you show up to every single after-school classes in all the subjects you failed to answer."

She can be a scary sister when it came to it, even handling out threats to end Artoria's social life if it meant for her to get into a better class.

There were two things Viola did the moment she got out of that combat exercise: She drank about a gallon of water and took one of the greatest baths of all times. She had a lot of sand and sweat to wash off, so it happened to also be one of her dirtiest baths ever. She really hated sand now.

So as she walked into the medical center, looking to meet the people she had fought alongside of earlier, Viola smelled of flowers and happiness and she had a large grin spreading across her lips. She hummed along to a fast pace song.

When she entered the room where both of her teammates were resting, she raised her hand up into the air and greeted the room. "Hey! I'm Viola Facett. That last exam sure got intense didn't it? I kind've felt like a little kid surrounded by all of you and your crazy strong magic."

Xena:

She let her smile grow wider as Artoria showed off her excitement. She was actually really adorable, and she could see why Vikki would love her enough to be her big sis. The way Vikki turned her mannerisms to try and scare the poor girl was also too hilarious for Xena to take. The blonde burst into laughter on the spot.

Then she noticed that the flying girl, introducing herself as Viola Facett, entered the room. Xena had wanted to find her after the exam, but the injured took top priority, so this was a fortunate turn of events. "Crazy strong magic is nothing compared to a well developed strategy. You proved that by placing me in an inescapable position twice. If I was your only proctor, you would've won easily. So Viola, congratulations, I'm giving you top marks for your combat exam." She said with a nod of respect to the girl.

Masego:

Masego began to toss and turn, the others hadn't noticed, but he'd been mumbling in his sleep and it only got louder as his thrashing increased. "No, please... don't make me kill them. I'll do anything just don't let them die!!!"

He awoke with a loud gasp, shooting into an upright sitting position, then groaning in anguish as pain shot through his injured arms. Falling back in his bed, he looked over and found his two teammates and their exam proctors by Artoria's bed. He couldn't meet the gaze of any of the girls, looking down in shame. "I'm so sorry. I nearly killed everyone." He said, tears starting to form in his eyes.

Vikki bringing up the written test, that Artoria had failed absolutely terribly at, alarmed the small girl. "Urk.." Crap. I completely flunked in just about everything. Am I even gonna have time for all those classes? "N-now, hold on! Isn't that a little extreme? Cut me some slack, big sis.." She looked almost pleadingly at Xena, as though she was begging the Secretary to help her out.

Masego suddenly shouting caused Artoria to jump, and consequently her back got wracked with pain from the jerky movement. "Ow.." She tries to rub her back, with little success. She turned toward him when he finally woke up. "Mago, you're awake!" Her smile slowly disappeared as the poor guy seemed to be ridden with guilt. Her eyes flicked to Viktoriya then back to Mago, and plainly stated "But you didn't."

Masego's awakening made Viktoriya focus on something else than her sister's education for just a moment. Softly, however, after listening to the boy's pleas, Vikki just merely looked up towards Xena. "Help me up for a moment will you?"

Viktoriya, with the aid of Xena, was slowly hoisted up from her wheelchair. It wasn't that she could no longer walk, she just felt incredible pain when she did. Her legs steadied however as she sighed out faintly before, walking upright towards Masego in a powerful stride. When standing up, Viktoriya was really tall, and yet, even in her demonized form, she had an air of reliability. Viktoriya slowly approached Mago before reached out with her hand towards his face. Instead of a gentle touch, Vikki instead flicked his forehead with a strong strike from her middle-finger to wake him up from this state.

"If I had not stopped you, you could have potentially killed, if not, severely wounded many students. Yet, a man who is reigned by his powers is nothing but a slave. You are a slave to your own strength."

Her words were like venom as she narrowed her eyes towards Mago. "Yet, that is why you are here. I promise you, after three years, you'll know more than enough, what it means to be a Master. So, smile, shout and regain your resolve. Even when in your darkest moment, smile."

Vikki, after reprimanding Masego would pull the boy in for a short embrace, hugging him tightly once before she felt herself getting a little exhausted. She looked back towards Xena, only to fall back into her wheelchair. The Student Council President sighed deeply. "Once my Mana has been restored, I need to get back to the office and assign your classes. Team Solaris doesn't sound too bad for a team, does it?"

She looked towards Viola, Artoria, and Masego. Wondering what the future has in store for each of them.

Viola wanted to shout in celebration when Xena mentioned that she was going to be getting top marks for her performance in the exam. It was exactly the kind of news that she'd want to hear right about then, as her prospects for getting into a few good classes seemed to be getting higher by the second.

Then, Masego woke up and expressed his guilt for how overboard he'd gone in the battle. It wasn't something she had been able to determine in the fight, as she'd been too focused on her own battle at the time to see what kind of danger everyone had been in. She still wanted to cheer him up though, but was proven to be not needed when Viktoriya decided to show a strict but compassionate side of herself.

The scene that unfolded was both funny and heart-warming. Viola smiled, trying to break the ice a little. "On the plus side, I think it's fair to see we've all been fully accepted then."

Masego:

"Gah!" Mago cried out in pain when he got smacked in the forehead. He wanted to reach up and start rubbing it, but the pain he felt in his arms told him that they weren't finished healing yet, so he was left with a throbbing forehead, and a hug from the Student Council President. "I've said that to myself a thousand times by now. It's the reason I came to Arcadia in the first place. So that it doesn't overwhelm me completely."

At Viola's question, his face brightened a little. "We made it didn't we? Amazing." He said before having to lie himself down. He felt drained, and his arms were still screaming in agony.

Xena:

After watching the entire scene unfold, complete with Mago and Vikki collapsing in their respective resting places, she decided to step in. "Alright, you three take this time to get to know each other. I need to make sure a certain somebody gets recovered as fast as possible. We'll catch up with you all again once your class assignments have been made." She said before turning Vikki around and beginning to roll her out of the medical wing.

"Vikki, aren't you being a little harsh? I'm sure he didn't mean to..." Artoria tried to speak up in defense of Mago, but it became apparent that perhaps that wasn't needed. Her words turned from venom to honey in the span of seconds. She couldn't help but smile at how encouraging her big sis was, and spoke up in agreement. "The fact that your actions bothered you so much shows how kind you are. And you're pretty incredible, I'm sure you can control your powers in no time. What was that thing you said on the train? Uh.. oh yeah!" She pumped her fist up into the air. "Power of youth!" However, doing so tweaked her back again, and she let out a few sounds of pain, rubbing her back while slowly lowering her fist "Why does that keep hurting?"

She turned to Viola, and smiled at her. "I remember that awesome trick you did with the sand." She extended her hand out, once again feeling the strain in her new scar "Ow.." Wincing, she'd introduce herself. "Artoria Pendragon. We didn't exactly get time to really meet each other earlier."

As Xena started to cart Vikki away, Artoria would wave them goodbye "Get better quickly, sis." Then she remembered something "Ah, wait. You mentioned grades, how did I do?"

"They are your only redeeming quality!" She shouted back towards Artoria before grinning with Xena pushing her down the hallway. At least Vikki should be able to get a good night's rest, and she is ready for duty the first thing tomorrow.

Viola took a nearby seat after Atoria was too injured to give out a proper greetings. Also, the chair in the room happened to look pretty comfortable. As she sat down, she sighed out of happiness. They really did pass, it was hard to believe. Not they could relax and wait for their grades and classes to get published.

"Oh, I just got lucky is all. All the sand just happened to work real well with my Air Poof. I mean, it's a pretty versatile spell to begin with, but the battlefield was a pretty nice advantage for me." Viola laughed, waving off her accomplishment. All of these compliments were starting to get to her head.

To Masego, he words of encouragement were simple: "Yeah, and like, you can grow wings! Do you know how cool that is!? I wish I could grow wings.... but I think it would be too much drag and lower my overall speed. Man, I bet I could make such awesome wings too."

Xena:

As she started carting Vikki away, she noticed all the pain that Artoria was in, and scowled, thinking about how bad a job the nurses had done at healing these poor kids. She looked back and said, "Don't worry, Arty. You did good enough." As the two disappeared around a corner, the kids could hear Xena's voice shouting. "CAN WE GET SOME HEALERS TO DO THEIR FUCKING JOBS AND HEAL THOSE KIDS ALREADY?!"

Masego:

Masego grinned at all the compliments he was getting, grateful for the positive reinforcement. He couldn't help but snicker as he heard Xena's yells and Viola's endearing ramblings about wings. He blushed and waved off the compliments. "You're right about the drag. In combat they tend to drag me down in combat." He said with a cheeky wink. "But seriously, their max speed isn't impressive, making them more of a utility power."

He looked back to Artoria, feeling bad about the huge scar she had on her back. "I think I proved that much with how long it took me to reach the height I did. If I'd been faster, or started falling from a lower height like a sane person, you might not have gotten such a bad injury. I'm sorry for that." His face fell briefly again, it was hard to stop blaming himself after such a devastating result.

"Only redeeming quality..?" Artoria didn't know what to make of that, but it didn't sound good, even with it being an obvious tease. "W-Wait, what do-" Then Xena chimed in. "Good enough? Wha.." Then they were gone, leaving the poor girl to think that her final grade for the entrance exam would be rather awful. That instantly put her into a dour mood, though she would jump at Xena's sudden shouting for competent healers. "Goodness, she's got quite a set of lungs.. even Uncle Lancelot could learn a thing or two from her." Then she immediately thought of him possibly watching her duel with Vikki. She looked utterly depressed now, muttering in a low monotone voice. "He's going to analyze every single mistake I did, lecture me to death over my injury, and then subject me to endless drilling. Someone please kill me now."

She'd snap out of her dreary mood enough to respond to Mago's comment on her injury. "No.. it's not your fault. I got outplayed in the heat of battle. It's my fault for not being more careful around someone more experienced." She glanced around the room, then added "It'll heal up anyway... and..." She lowered her voice slightly, kinda embarrassed at what she was gonna say. "It's not a bad first scar to have..."

Viola shrugged at Masego's downplaying of his wings, her response was one that she really didn't have to think about. "Yeah, but at least you can still fly. Even getting up into the air is a great achievement by itself. Not many people can do it, after all." And not many could have cool wings too.

"That's a good way to look at it, Artoria." Viola shot the girl a grin, shifting in her seat to get a little more comfortable. "Think of all the cool conversations you can start with a scar like that. "Hey young lady, where did you get that scar?" "Oh, this? I got it in a totally intense sword fight. You should've seen it."" Viola added her own unique twist to each voice, even if her Artoria sounded nothing like her.
