Thrankaur rolled his eyes at the drama of it all, a peculiar motion he had gleaned from the minds of the children, seemingly signifying exasperation or disbelief. It wasn't as comfortable as a left flick of his tail and second eyelid flap, but he could appreciate the increased obviousness.
As he watched Jaso mourn the soldier, he was struck with a thought. These children were so... emotional. They had never met before, yet the young one cradled the body as if it were a brood-mate. Tears, a symbol of great sadness, had formed in the eyes of the child. Behind Jaso, Ella had collapsed in horror.
Weak, the both of them. And the Taxis around them were little better, staring at Ziton without acting. He would not make such a mistake. Reaching forward with his hand towards Ziton as the man introduced himself as something or other, palm open, he feels himself grasp the air around the duo. It was somewhat far for this form, but he could still reach.
As he grasped the air around, Thrankaur was already sure this would not work. He was not aware of exactly how the child had managed to warp himself like that, but if he could do it in the heat of a fight Thrankaur was sure he would have ample time to avoid. Yet he had to try. He would not let himself be ridiculed by some... upstart.
His fist clenched with stone breaking force as all the heat in the air around Ziton once again immediately evacuated the vicinity, ice forming near instantly as Thrankaur narrows his eyes, watching every movement. Even if it didn't work, he would want to see just what happened.
