Ame Damnee Cathedral of Eden

Rythe, Cathedral of Eden

Snapping his head around towards the rising dead, his concentration dissipated in an instant as his instinct took the reins. Hearing Ratchel's shouts, he began a mild dash towards the horde, navigating through the crowds with some difficulty as the citizens panicked. Drawing his sword with a simple tug from its magnetic holster, the blade seemingly carried him towards the undead. Protect them. The Eclipse glided through the first body as he attempted to slaughter as many as possible before significant damage could be done. The nagging thought in the back of his mind evaded him as he mindlessly swiped at the bodies before him. I'm being surrounded. I'm dooming myself when there is still work to be done... Slash. Stab. Kill them all. I will.
To an onlooker, the Ethereal had just charged into the horde, disappearing into the undead, with the only indication of his life, being the sounds of slashes emanating from behind them.

The dead has risen. The crowd is panicking. Despite being very much disturbed, Renee wore a courageous expression, her hand tightening on the grip of her sword. I am a warrior. She looked behind her on the trembling crowd, seeing women and children alike, the people of her city, the ones that, at this moment, she knew she had to protect. She had to fight. Glancing at the little boy Michael, she ushered him to one of the women beside her. "Please take care of the boy. I have to go." she said. The wardens are already making a protective line around everyone. As long as the threats are taken care of as soon as possible, they will be safe.

Once that was settled, she took a deep breath. Facing the crowd, she shouted. "Everyone! Stay calm! Stay behind the wardens!" her father's training resounding in her head, one would think she is a warden herself. She braced her feet firmly on the ground, a pair of beautiful white-gold wings sprouting from her back, as she jumped and flew up. It only took a second, but as soon as she was at her high point, she suddenly positioned her sword and free falled down, slashing an undead from the skull down and placing her at the heart of the horde of living corpses. Not wasting any time, she raised her sword and made a big arc, slashing two by their abdomen. It didn't stop them though. They truly are undead, as they tried to continue crawling to attack her even while they are severed by their midsection. This is pure horror... she couldn't help but think as she slashed their heads off. The next few minutes, Renee didn't know anything but to stab, pierce, slash, behead, kill--- she was a machine, trying to kill as many undead as she could. Trying to protect as many people...

The doctor blinked once, then twice, at the scene unfolding around her. She barely had time to react before she was clawed by the yellowing, splintering nails of an animated corpse. Its eyes were sunken back into its head, the body itself close to being a skeleton--rotting tissue clinging onto the bone like loose threads. She withdrew her knife from its sheath at her waist, aiming at the fragile joints to dismantle the body's frame. She was successful in doing so, the body now laying in jigsaw pieces at her feet, but the lacerations on her face and arms stung. She narrowly missed another attack as she diverted her attention away from battle to assess her injuries. She would have to clean and dress them as soon as possible, she knew, for there was a high risk for infection, and she would have to tend to others as well.

Stonecypher began making her way through the chaos, dodging nails, teeth, and weapons until she felt something dig into her ankle and bring her back into the mess. Her world rocked and she was suddenly on the floor, hitting her head on the gory, dusty paneling in the process. She flipped over onto her back to see her attacker. It was a wounded corpse, still with some sentience left, one hand squeezing her ankle, the other brandishing a shard of glass. The girl struggled against the undead's hold on her, but its grip just held onto her tighter, nails starting to seep into flesh. She had lost her hunting knife somewhere in this process, she realized when her left hand was empty. She reached behind her, under the skirt of her dress, not caring who saw her indecent.

The doctor withdrew the dagger she had hidden for situations like these, and quickly flicked the blade down the forehead of the monster's face to stun it, and then severing the hand that held her. She struggled to get up, her adrenaline ebbing away and being replaced with exhaustion. She could not fall asleep, not until she knew if she was concussed from hitting her head. She could only crawl because of the intense pain in her ankle and she hid underneath a pew, away from the fighting and yet in the center of it. The sounds of war were heard all around her--yelling, thumping of bodies hitting the ground, the sound of weapons meeting flesh.

The crypts below were full of the corpses of former Grandmasters, and that didn’t even include the cemetery nearby where everyone else was normally buried nor the caskets they had just finished carrying into the cathedral. With the lids flying open, the undead climbed out of their coffins, and to make matters worse, Grandmaster Anwil’s fingers slowly twitched. Eyes snapping open, Ceolen Anwil hovered into the air, finding his feet as he quickly turned to face Raakshdos. Unsheathing the ornamental sword that hung at his side, he pointed it at Grandmaster Raakshdos and did something rather unexpected. “Miss me?” It spoke!

“From one Grandmaster to another…” Grandmaster Anwil said before lunging forward. At the same time, the entire cathedral seemed to be surrounded, swarmed by the endless hordes that had amassed. Was there no savior in sight?

Ratchel
Cathedral of Eden

Ratchels mind had nothing else on it but saving her son, slashing down Undead that stood in her way with either her spear or using the edges of her shield though it became clear that she was better off using her spear as when hit with anything that had light infused with it made these bastards stop moving. Shit shit shit shit!! Micheal don't worry mommies coming to make everything better for yo- that was than she heard the voice of Rene, the passion and authority that she had in that second was on the level of a king... or a Ethereal. Ratchel's now trusting that were ever her boy was he was safe and seeing Rene fly into the heart of the horde made Ratchel feel a sense of honor and pride in being a Warden that she had never felt before... though she saw that the undead Rene was fighting were more stubborn than what she had faced, Ratchel cursed that her wings couldn't fly but they could do this! Her eyes glowing and so was her body as she focused all the light she's absorbed through the sun into a beam of light that cut down some of the horde that was surrounding Rene and even managed to clear a path to her. Ratchel couldn't let her fight alone, so she rushed in the middle Impaling a undead that somehow found it's way behind Rene. "Sorry if i'm intruding but i couldn't let you take all the fun!" she said in her usual cocky but well meaning voice, she tried to keep out the huffs but using that attack always drains her in some way. And forget about her secret technique that she was working on.

Renee slashed a couple more undead before giving Ratchel a nod for her help. "Thank you. I appreciate your help." she said confidently. She beheaded a couple more, her body moving swifty. At one point, she took down an undead that was about to strike Ratchel from behind. "Don't let your guard down!" she warned. It was then that she saw it, a group of children in the wrong spot of the cathedral, trapped by the wall and a horde of the moving corpses, with nobody to protect them. She gasped. "No you don't!" and with that she braced her feet on the ground once more and flew horizontally, towards the direction of the children, slashing down the enemies in her way. When she reached them she lashed out a kick, taking down the first one. She placed herself between the children and the horde. "I'll protect you! Stay behind me!" She said as she lashed out her sword, slashing, stabbing, killing. The children were crying. The horde was closing down, but its thinning, and soon enough Renee could feel the exhaustion seeping through her bones. No! Not yet! Not until I get the kids to safety---

A scream tore down her concentration. She looked behind her, in the direction where the scream was, and there she saw one of the kids being lifted by the throat. The kid screamed and kicked to no avail. An undead managed to get past her? Her senses had been keen! Impossible--

She froze. The undead turned towards her. Familiar scarlet eyes bore through her soul, the same shade she had inherited. No... no, no, please...! It was a nightmare. A sick, twisted nightmare.

"Rene... il... yah..." the undead muttered.

The bravery she felt moments ago dissipated. With the tears brimming in her eyes once again, she was suddenly at a loss, uncertain of what to do. Nothing made sense anymore. She poised her sword towards him, but her hands were shaking.

"Father?"

Ratchel
Cathedral of Eden

Was still cutting down undead hordes with her spear she looked so powerful and skilled doing so... But in truth she was slowing down and near exhaustion. Damn it! i didn't think i used that much power already.... maybe it's another effect of this. Damned fog! Keep the mask on she thought to herself, don't show them that your tiring or weaking especially not Micheal he needs to keep hope seeing that his mother can come back from anything, that she's the best damned Warden in this Cathedral who can take on the world if needed!....

Suddenly a scream could be heard behind her, she whirred around so fast that you could actually hear the wind whip.Their were children far from the line she hadn't noticed due to the battle and one of them was in the hands of ..... "Dear god." one of the children was caught by one of the many horrors that have risen.

Rene'ilyah was standing between the children and this reanimated horror. Ratchel not wanting to let those children despair used her magic to construct a bridge connecting to 3 feet to were the child where cowering and the end of the bridge was a slide that went directly back into the crowd of people, normally this kind of construction wouldn't be a problem however having to also create a omnidirectional Crystal barrier around her to keep from getting mauled by undead, using her solar reservers to fire a laser, and this damned fog that seemed to be weaking her magic. Made it so hard on her that blood was starting to drip down her mouth. "H-hurry." she said weakly but loud enough for the children to hear. Each taking turns to walk across the bridge and slide into the crowd.

Ratchel felt weak but she needed to last for just a little longer! Please Aditi just a littler longer until those kids are safe!

Ariel looked around seeing all the chaos and the panic half of her was analyzing the situation so she could help out but the other side of her was dying to join in the madness. As she looked around she dodged all the attacks coming her way which wasn't hard since the zombies were very slow compared to what she usually had to face as opponents. The first priority was to save as many citizens as possible. Her threads began to come out of her finger tips beginning to weave and wrap around each other creating a shield that was as tall as her. She began to charge knocking zombies left and right making sure not to kill any yet. This was due to the fact that she knew the second she killed one her second personality would kick in and she would go on a killing spree not caring about her Warden duties. With one hand she scooped up citizens and the other she used her shield to clear out the crowds. She finally cleared the area of all she thought was worth living and put them in an area she thought where they could survive maybe if they were lucky. She would make better decisions but she could feel her blood lust was creeping up on her.

She began to run away from the survivors not wanting them to get in the way. She could feel her hands were twitching wanting to grab the hilt of her swords to start slashing away. Though she was responsible enough to know that she should at least to attract the crowd towards her and keep a safe distance from the non-zombos. Once she felt like she was in the clear she finally pulled out her katana, Black Dove, to help aid her in the massacre. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again her deep blue eyes were switched with blood red ones as a crooked smile began to form on her face "Oh sweet chaos my mistress I've come to embrace you again" She said with a menacing laughter. Without hesitation she began to swing her sword going out of her way to get close to the zombies so she can kill them. Blood began to spill everywhere beginning to paint everything from the floor to the walls especially all over Ariel. It looked as if somebody had came in and got a hose to douse everything in red. She didn't care that she was in a holy place neither did she care about she was killing.......again. All she cared about was that she go to kill.

She then heard a scream snapping her out of her second personality. She looked around trying to keep herself distanced from the undead and she spotted Ratchel. To the normal eye she seemed to be doing fine but Ariel was a professional and she could tell that she was beginning to exhaust herself. She created her shield again making her way to Ratchel making sure again not to kill anything. When she was ten meters from Ratchel she yelled "Don't worry help is here" She finally reached Ratchel she touched her arm and sent her healing magic into her. Ratchel suddenly felt all the exhausten wash away from her and energy beginning to overflow within. "You're powered up hun. Get in there."

The child was choking. No time to lose, no time to hesitate. It's just another corpse. Just another undead. Just another...

She positioned her stance and charged. First things first, save the child! She slashed her sword up, severing the undead's right hand, the one he used to pull up the boy. The boy fell to the ground coughing. Renee did not even have time to check if he was alright, her father--- no, the corpse--- unsheathed his own sword from his scabbard and attacked. Steel clashed against steel, with Renee trying to push him back through brute force--- but he was just too strong. She remembered the countless times she would spar with her father, the countless times she had lost against him. Unfortunately, this... thing... seemed to have all her father's abilities. The thought was proven correct when he suddenly shifted. Renee's eyes widened. She knew what he was going to do and managed to step back, but his fist still hit her with such great force and sent her flying towards the far wall, and then eventually falling to the ground. She groaned in pain. It felt like one of her wings sustained damage. The undead seemed to have lost interest in the children. On the contrary, he was staring straight at her, his scarlet eyes bloodshot as he held that frighteningly blank expression. "Rene... il... yah..." he murmured. "Rene'il... yah... Rene'ilyah. Rene'ilyah! RENE'ILYAH!"

A strong gust of wind emerged from him as he practically roared her name, twitching like a madman. Renee felt like crying. This wasn't how she wanted to remember her last look on her father. But she must not cry. I am a warrior. she thought, like a chant for bravery. Aditi, guide my path.

As she stood up, she tried to lock eyes with Ratchel, trying to send out a plea, a favor to protect the children, because now she will be too occupied to do so. She has... to kill her father.

She poised herself, despite being beaten up by the blow and exhausted, she stood up with pride and confidence. The pride and confidence her own father had instilled upon her very being. "Forgive me, father..." she murmured under her breath and smiled sadly. "It turns out I will always be... your rebellious daughter to the end."

Ratchel
Cathedral of Eden

Was close to passing out so much so that the shield she erected around herself was falling apart and her bridge was close to join. Ratchel thought this would be here final day. But than she heard a voice and saw a hazy vision of someone coming towards her, the vision grabbed her arm and for a second Ratchel thought she would have to use one of the shards that fell from her shield to jab into an undeads neck.

Luckily that didn't happen almost instantly after her arm was touched Ratchel felt all the energy that she had lost suddenly erupt in her core like the best adrenaline rush she had ever gotten her vision returned to normal and she felt so damn good she might try to fight all the undead in this cathedral bared handed. Ratchel instantly shot up from were she had collapsed her shield forming around her and Ariel along with parts of the bridge that were falling apart soon were fixed. Just in time for the last child in that group to make it across Ratchel turned her gaze to the boy that was dropped who was being surrounded by Zombies Ratchel lifted her spear with new energy flooding her body and yelled out at the boy. "LITTLE BOY DUCK!" She said seeing that he was confused but complied she aimed glory's tip at the end of the line of zombies and almost instantly the spear head grew almost 30 feet long, Ratchel cutting through the ranks of undead surrounding the boy like butter. With a spin she also killed most of the zombies surrounding them, Ratchel turning to Ariel "Thanks for what ever you did by the way. like a really kick ass drink.... Could you grab the boy for me ? I need to help a friend." She said looking at Rene.

The doctor quickly checked her injuries in a hunched posture under the cherry wood bench, still grasping her pitiful dagger. Her ankle was covered in angry red splotches, which she predicted would turn a deep purple in the next few minutes. Her arms were showing signs of infection, but the bleeding had stopped. She cursed herself for being so weak, having to cower and lick her wounds while people died around her. Stonecypher began to notice the number of undead was dwindling, partly because of the two warrior-like women who seemed to be fighting harder than anyone else. The girl felt a twinge of jealousy for their skills, but she cleared her mind of those thoughts. No point in thinking about it now, she had more urgent matters to attend to. Like finding her knife. From her position, she could see mostly carnage, stone, glass, and blood, but also a glint about 10 yards away. A blade--certainly bigger than her measly dagger, but probably not her knife. Still better than the pin needle that was her 'backup' weapon, she reasoned. Gritting her teeth, she slowly half-limped, half-crawled her way towards the weapon, an open and easy target.

Like clockwork, she was almost immediately assaulted by a redead, with barely enough strength to slice its neck. As she got closer, she almost giggled from excitement, exhaustion, and delirium when it had, in fact, been her most prized possession. Just holding it even seemed to restore her strength--which she knew was logically impossible--she was more frail than ever, but mentally she felt as if she could take on an entire army of the bastards still mindlessly terrorizing the cathedral.

Raakshdos, as played by Meliodas

Cathedral of Eden

“Léigear!” No sooner than the words had been spoken was Ryuna consumed in blue flames before being replaced by Raakshdos’s sword - which seemed to appear out of nowhere, hovering beside him just long enough for him to snatch it out of the air. Wielding the blade with both hands, he shoved it in front of him, blocking Grandmaster Anwil’s strike which had cataclysmic results. A shockwave was sent through the room, yet again forcing Raakshdos back against the wall which cracked underneath him. Grandmaster Anwil didn’t seem fazed as he took a few steps back, eyes rolling into the back of his skull as he muttered something under his breath in a language that would have been foreign to anyone who heard it. The entire room seemed to go silent as the undead stopped in their tracks, their heads snapping to the side as they all begun to rush Raakshdos at once.

The sword in his hands appeared to glow brightly before being engulfed in flames, and without hesitating, Raakshdos slammed the sword into the granite below, sending a wave of fire in every direction. Oddly enough, the flames were harmless to anyone they came into contact with, outside of the undead who were burnt to a crisp – their bodies disintegrating almost instantly into ash. Grandmaster Anwil, on the other hand, escaped unscathed, headed for the marketplace…

“If you still have an ounce of fight left in you, rally to me! They will not take this city, not as long as there is still a breath in my body!” Raakshdos proclaimed to everyone who still had the strength to hear him. With the cathedral in disarray, the undead had been cleared from the room, so Raakshdos wasted no time in tracking down the former Grandmaster.

Was shocked at the amount of power that Raakshdos had. he cleared the entire room. Making a mental note not to piss him off. "Well that was.... wow." However she noticed that Anwil had somehow escaped the attack and was heading towards the market place, their were still people in the market and if one Grandmaster can do that than. She quickly followed Raakshdos however almost randomly she thought about her son. "Micheal.... You'll have to be strong for a little while longer."

The boy was cower with a woman holding onto him he was crying and wanting his mommy to hug him and tell him everything would be ok... But she left the cathedral to chase after some monster.... Its ok! He understood, she was the best warden here and the only one that could take down those mean monsters..... Yet she never had time for him.

Ryuna, Cathedral of Eden, District of Avalon

Ryuna didn’t take any chances as she attacked the first undead that got close to her. The growls that erupted from her chest made it clear she wasn’t in the mood for playing around. She was determined to do the one thing she was created for. Protect her master. Her blue eyes took in everything even the cries of her beloved little human children couldn’t persuade her to leave Raakshdos’ side.

She had just swatted a zombie away just as she felt more than heard the undeniable call. Her control over herself was snatched away as if she had just been struck down. The flames that engulfed her never hurt her but they made their power and warmth known to the kitsune. They were her own but as many times before she felt oddly that they weren’t ever really hers.

The warmth faded as she found herself staring out at the world around her not from her own eyes but from the eyes of Raakshdos. This was how her master saw the world. Her power no longer her own she could do little more than expand her field of vision by pulling herself from his mind. Only he could hear her words. She felt the strike of the enemy's blade, “Raa, that isn’t the Grandmaster in there.”

Ariel nodded jumping high in the air and landing right next to the boy. Without hesitation she wrapped her arms around him and put him in her arms holding him like a princess. She was about to jump again to get him to safety with the other children but there was a problem. Right when she was about to jump again her knee wouldn't bend. It had seemed as if her knee had locked in as soon as she landed. "Shit." She said remembering that she didn't stretch before she decided to fight. She looked around seeing the undead slowly making their way to her and the boy. She would begin to kill them but at the same time she would risk her second personality to come out and that wasn't safe for the little boy. She began to think of solutions trying to find away to protect the and not kill any zombies. Finally like lightning an idea popped in her head. Threads began to come out of all her fingertips wrapping themselves tightly around her and the boy till they were in cocoon like state. This was the best solution due to the fact that her threads were tougher than diamonds and there was no way the zombies could go through it.

She could feel the hands on her body trying to rip off the thread but it didn't budge at all. She was not scared of the surviving the situation since she knew how much they could. The only problem was that she trapped herself cause as soon as she retracted the threads there was nowhere to go. Suddenly she felt an extremely powerful amount of magic in the air followed by the hands stopping. She took a few seconds and unwrapped herself and the boy seeing all the zombies dead "How?" she asked and then heard the call from Raa. "That's a grandmaster for ya." She smiled putting down the boy who ran off to join other living people.

She looked down at her knee and bent it a seeing it unlocked "Good I got more work to do." She started off with finding any survivors in the rubble. She did this by closing her eyes and feel the life force around her. Using her thread she created a giant hand that grabbed debris lifting it off of citizens and placing it somewhere safe. Within the half hour she found everyone in the cathedral bring them outside to have local doctors to help. Once she was done she began to help out too starting off with the more critical patients. She used her healing touch to restore the cuts and bruises on patients giving them supporting words and a comforting smile she was in her element. After an hour she was done healing people sending them off to their families. For those who couldn't find their families she brought to the proper authorities. Finally she helped out restoring the cathedral using her threads to move large objects. She was leaving the cathedral when a little girl holding a flower comes up to Ariel handing it to her "Thank you miss" Ariel smiled back and took the flower. "No problem kid it's just my job" She put the flower in her hair and went to go find an inn to rest. It was a very long week for her.
As she walked she noticed one kid was alone, (Michael), she walked up to him extending his hand to him "Excuse young man but do you not have anywhere to go?" Truthfully on the inside she was exhausted using magic for all these battles and just wanted to sleep but she wasn't going to rest until she knew that everyone was content one way or another.

The sudden eruption of flames had caught Renee by surprise. She closed her eyes, thinking she'll be burned, but it simply passed through her skin like a warm air. When she opened her eyes, the Cathedral was almost unrecognizable. All the undead became ashes at their feet. Her eyes widened, looking around. Perhaps, her father too...?

No such luck. The window beside her was broken, along with a trail of blood. His severed hand... it must be. She looked around, seeing that the civilians are already being tended to by an unfamiliar woman. They should be fine. Feeling sick to her stomach, she stood up, gave the woman a small nod and then ran out of the Cathedral. Her father must have escaped. He should still be out there, somewhere. And there's no way in hell that she will let that morbid moving corpse taint her father's memory any longer. She has to end it. She has to end this nightmare.

Rythe, Cathedral of Eden

Moments after Raakshdos' shockwave had cleared the room, Rythe emerged from underneath the corpses laying on the floor. His breath was slightly labored and he muttered a few words, glancing at his slightly dulled blade. Sheathing it, his eyes wandered to find the undead Grandmaster fleeing with the living other in pursuit. His body quickly rose from the bodies around him, covered in decayed entrails which were quickly brushed off in slight disgust. Engaging in the battle between the two Grandmasters could prove to be troublesome, especially when Rythe had never truly fought alongside the one on his side. His pupils surveyed the area leading towards the marketplace, tracking the two while searching for a suitable location to set up.

Finding a suitable location, he quickly glanced back to ensure there weren't any stragglers left undealt with before continuing to the sloped street which allowed an easy view of the majority of the marketplace. Drawing the bloodied blade, he held it in front of him as if it were a spear, in one hand, aimed towards the marketplace. Once chaos broke out in the marketplace, a well-placed shot could give the Grandmaster a ripe advantage over the other. While the shot would be staggering and painful, he doubted that the elite armor they were adorned with, would be pierced in a single shot.

To the onlooker, Rythe simply stood amongst the dead bodies, standing with his blade held out towards the marketplace, keenly observing the battle rather than engaging.
If Anwil escapes, I doubt any of us will catch him in time for whatever deed he'll commit.

Micheal
Cathedral of Eden

He wasn't even trying to hide that he was looking sad sniffling and wiping his noise but after that he responded to the lady holding her hand out. "Mommy ran off to fight the monster. And that red haired lady left me." Micheal felt like he was abandoned in a way, even though he knew his mother had good reasons. Though he started to wonder were mr'Uriel was and why wasn't he their to help ? Micheal seemed millions of miles away as he was trying to process what happened, his possible mother issues, being left in the hands of someone he didn't know only to be switched with someone else he didn't know. And now being alone in this dark depressing fog knowing that even if his mother comes back.... she'll be gone again off to one of those stupid meeting.

Delphi
Cathedral of Eden

When the smoke in the room clear, only a few figures were left standing, not including herself. It seemed like everyone else--all of the risen dead--had either been killed or evacuated. Stonecypher leaned against the closest wall, not far from where someone was tending to injuries. Her eyesight wasn't too clear at the moment--she couldn't tell if it was male or female. However, to her right, she heard a person groan, and she began digging through the wreckage despite her arms protesting. She uncovered a large, rough hand, and then a wrist, which she checked for a pulse. Still alive and strong. She pushed past more stone and ash, removing the debri on top of his chest and head. No major external injuries--and no bruising from what she could see. She cut away his shirt, and it appeared he had broken a rib or two, from a hard blow.

She reached into the small pouch on her belt and pulled out a vial of pale green ointment, which she dipped her fingers in and began to smear a light layer of it over the man's rib cage and her own injuries. The edema in her arms almost immediately disappeared, though they still ached, and she was able to put weight on her ankle. She felt the bone underneath the warrior's skin start to repair itself, and his eyelids start to flicker. There wasn't much else she could do without access to stronger medicine, but the herbal ointment had done plenty. The doctor picked herself up and made her way towards the person, who seemed to be a healer or at least someone who knew what they were doing. As her head cleared, Stonecypher could see that they were female, and were accompanied by a small boy.

"Excuse me," she rasped, her voice rough with disuse and exhaustion, but she cleared her throat and spoke again, in a stronger tone. "I can tend to the people here, I'm a doctor. You should try to find that boy's parents." She gave the boy a curious look, memorizing the features of his face in case she found anyone who shared them. Without truly waiting for an answer, she turned to walk back to where she had been resting, clearing away ashes and brimstone to get to the man she found trapped underneath. He had woken up, and was making incoherent sounds, but he appeared to be aware of his surroundings and responsive to her hand on his forehead. Stonecypher helped him sit up and told him to follow her finger with his eyes. He had a concussion but it wasn't too serious. The doctor stood up and dusted herself off, examining her weapon. The blade of her hunting knife was chipped, but she could easily have it replaced or just get a new one. She began sweeping through more of the ruined cathedral, but found no more survivors. The woman had done a very good job of taking care of almost everyone, the girl thought. She would have to express her gratitude to her later.

Ariel saw the woman and nodded seeing that she had her own drive. 'I will have to talk to her later and tend to her wounds' she told herself and went back to facing Michael. "I know how ya feel kid." Ariel said scooping up the kid and putting him on her shoulders. She then began to walk around the cathedral figuring his mother would want to come back to retrieve him. "It's tough being a kid of a warden. I should know my father was one." She shook her head and chuckled "If we weren't training he would be off doing a mission for the sake of Alditi. At some point it didn't even feel like he was my father instead he felt like some guy that I met once in a while. It became so lonely. Ya know what I mean?" She looked up at him giving him a empathetic smile showing have genuinely knew his pain "They always tell you that it's important and you don't want to be selfish so you don't say anything but on the inside you're so frustrated and depressed that they can't be there all the time." She finally stopped feeling her knee beginning to lock a little and sat down on a bench Michael still on her shoulders. "So you got two options young man. Give into those feelings and let it attach to you till one day it all turns into hate towards your mother or you rise above and learn independence. Show her you're fine without her and become your own man with aspirations and goals. Then on the days you do spend time with her you cherish every single moment. That way if anything every happened to her you won't be filled with regret. I mean look at me, I used all my free studying medicine and practicing healing spells and now I'm a doctor. I get to help people on a daily basis and do what I love all because I hot rid of the hate and used it as motivation instead. My father is dead now and I know when he's looking at me from wherever he's proud." She finally took Michael off her shoulders and sat him next to her on the bench "So whaddya say kid?"
