We're All Mad Here Chaos Sphere's Madmen

Chaos Sphere

Blinking and Breathing Manually.
[(Character 1 - Frederick Feller)]

Name - Frederick Feller
Appearance - A fair-skinned man with a completely average build. He always wears a black business suit that he complements with a grey shirt and a red necktie, which matches with his dark-blue formal slacks and brown leather shoes. His most recognizable feature is a completely non-suspicious white box of pure opacity that cages his entire head, with a blood-red 'F' surrounded by an equally red circle at where the face should be.

Passive Ability(s) -
+ Immortal Physique - He has extremely high durability, endurance, and regeneration rate. He also cannot be killed, but he can still be restrained or knocked out. He cannot feel pain but he reacts to it as if he does not possess this ability.
+ Broken Psyche - his messed up psychology makes mind-targeting attacks to be completely useless and makes him an unpredictable opponent. This also makes him a terrible person to have a serious conversation with.
+ X-Ray Vision - An ability that allows him to see through a single object, and that single object covers his entire head.
+ Seal of the Author - A seal granted by an entity known as the Author. This also gives the Author ownership over him

Active Ability(s) -
+ Faulty Object Creation - He can easily create any object he wants, granted that it will not work as intended. He still thinks that such objects are perfectly functional, and thus he also perceives them as market-worthy to the mafia. After all, he never uses them correctly too.
+ "I AM A PROFESSIONAL!" - By conjuring the powers of handmade name tags, he can temporarily gain an ability based on the profession mentioned (ex. Healing magic for 'Doctor', Electrokinesis for 'Electrician'). No one knows why he decided to use a stupid-looking system to gain powers.

Cheeseburger - "I make my cheeseburgers dairy-free! Trust me, no cows were harmed in the making of our products! (We only use the meat of already dead animals)."

Equipment -
+ Box Head - That extremely durable and stain-proof box that cages his entire head. It is theorized that not only does it protect his head, it also prevents him from thinking properly, that he may never tap into the potential that is locked up within the rest of his mind.
+ F-Squad - A name that he has given to any of his equally bizarre followers, often used for wage-free manual labor. They share the same amounts of durability and endurance as Frederick, but they are completely mortal. No one knows how he is able to obtain the loyalty of these people. "F" can literally stand for any letter he wants to use, though "Fun Squad", "Fancy Squad", and "Finance Squad" are typical selections.

Personality - Despite the threat posed by his abilities, he is more of a cowardly cheater than an active force of evil, using them for petty reasons like earning income through selling exploding toasters and stealing peoples' kidneys to "donate" to hospitals.

An absolute lunatic at heart, he will often confuse people with twisted logic, half-truths, and senseless abuse of power. He believes in the delusion that everything he does is perfectly normal; and that he, too, is just a perfectly normal (albeit very successful) human.

Favorite color - "Black, because it looks like money after you burn it."

Bio -
In his world, Frederick Feller was a man who attempted to scientifically achieve nigh-omnipotence as a last resort in attempting to raise the society that is already collapsing before him. Despite how noble his intentions are, people found out about it and demonized him, resulting in years of trying to hunt him down. Exhausted from his continuous fleeing and afraid of being put in a situation worse than the already unreachable death, he created a device to crush his head to make him forget his true potential. From then on, he began a new life of a "powerful idiot", devoid of all the well-meaning that he used to have.

And now.... a new story begins with an instance of him finding out that he has been tossed into a different dimension against his own will. Will he retain his usual garbage-minded self, or will something else happen?

Comment from The Author: "If an entity's appointed goal is to fail and it manages to carry out such goal, is it considered a failure or a success? The answer may differ, but the oxymoron remains the same." Current Status: Alive

Name - The Author
Appearance - The Author appears as a hexahedron of varying sizes whose sides are illuminated in ever-changing colors, usually in bright neon hues. The Author can change its size and shape at will.

Passive Abilities:
  • Levitation - The Author is capable of levitation, capable enough to enter and exit planets at any speed without any damage.
  • Nigh-Imperviousness - The Author is completely immune to physical damage and is extremely resistant to elemental, magical damage; with such kinds of damage usually bouncing off such attacks that make contact with it regardless of its strength. It had apparently declared that it is the mirror that reflects everything that is a product of laws, which includes the laws of physics and the principles of all magic.
  • Inorganic Being - The Author, as a completely inorganic being, is immune to all things that exclusively affect living beings, such as poisons and necrotic curses. It does take generally resisted damage from certain psionic-based attacks, with the demonstrated resistance depending on how strong such attacks are. The Author also lacks a soul, thus is immune to all soul-based magic.

Active Ability(s) -
  • Seal of the Author - A seal applied to the Author's 'creations' (which in fact are individuals whose fate are manipulated into who they currently are, usually by using his abilities to subtly force them to do things to avoid a terrible fate).
  • Logic Manipulation - The Author is capable of manipulating and utilizing logic in various ways, including the manipulation of concepts like truth & morality and the use of logic conjuration/manipulation of objects.
++ Thought Experiments - A specific sub-ability under the Author's Logic Manipulation which involves conjuring objects and applying theory-grounded altered logic to weaponize them in its own favor.
  • Logic Weapon: Braitenberg Vehicle - An autonomous projectile attack named after a kind of machine that moves by its sensors. The Author releases a large three-dimensional shape made of hardened light and purely destructive meta-information which is given a specific set of instructions that alter its behavior, creating a seemingly intelligent projectile that carries out a specific role.
  • Logic Weapon: Brownian Ratchet - A mechanical projectile attack based on a theoretical perpetual motion machine of the same name, which is said to violate the second law of thermodynamics should it ever successfully exist. The Author fires off a rocket-like projectile that is powered by an enlarged Brownian ratchet, whose head is tipped by a drill. The projectile releases extreme amounts of heat and will never stop moving forward unless unsummoned or destroyed.
  • Logic Weapon: Dyson Sphere - A circular contraption named after a theoretical megastructure designed to harness the energy of entire stars. The Author summons a circular structure that traps the opponent until destroyed or until it wears off. There exist three variations of this: A ring variant which consists of multiple blades aggressively circling an opponent and tracking their movements, thus limiting and possibly punishing excessive movement, a bubble variant which consists of multiple drones surrounding an opponent and tracking their movements while emitting electromagnetic pulses to limit movement while slowly dealing damage, and a shell variant which involves an opaque circular barrier that forms around the target and completely trapping them for a limited time or until destroyed. Should the opponent decide to destroy a Dyson Sphere formation, the formation would harness energy from the damage received and transfer all harnessed energy to the Author, who would use the received energies to fire a destructive energy beam.
  • Logic Weapon: Feynman Sprinkler - A gravity-based attack named after Feynman's concept of a theoretical "reverse sprinkler" which was initially hypothesized to spin while sucking up water. The Author places a high-density mass, similar to a black hole, that attracts all particles and objects around it, spinning and getting stronger as more particles and objects stick to it.
  • Logic Weapon: Schrödinger's Cat - A variable attack based on a popular thought experiment. The Author conjures a mechanical box & a voodoo doll in the likeness of the target before placing the doll in the box to be processed. Should the box be permitted to fully process the doll, the Author opens it up to observe the results of the process and declares whether it is 'alive' or not. If it is declared to be 'alive', it effectively becomes a weaker duplicate of the target and fights for its creator. If it is declared to be 'dead', the Author automatically casts a crippling affliction on the target for a set period of time.
  • Logic Weapon: Artificial Brain - An attack involving conjuring artificial minds with bodies. The Author creates a puppet based on a single entity of choice that has received the Seal of the Author or is a direct subordinate of them. These replicate puppets possess 75% of the power of the original entity, though a puppet could receive one buff from the Author itself. A maximum of four puppets can be active and attempting to conjure a fifth puppet would result in the most damaged puppet exploding with the force of a grenade.
  • Logic Weapon: The Beetle in the Box - A restrictive skill based on a thought experiment made concerning the private language argument. The Author spawns a box with a label that will always refer to an inanimate object within the box. The Author would then open a box to reveal the object within it, which comes along with various labels that state the minimum requirements of similar objects to be defined as the kind of object within the box or else will temporarily be completely undefinable as such and thus rendered unusable in the standard sense (ex. If the object within the box is labeled as a white gun, all guns in a 1km radius have to be white or else they would be rendered completely non-functional for the duration of the skill). The effect ends when the box is destroyed, despawned, or replaced.
  • Logic Weapon: Trolley Problem - A skill based on a popular thought experiment on decision-making. The Author conjures a large turret that would charge up a highly destructive attack of its choice. While the turret can be destroyed before it finishes charging, doing so would trigger its explosive suicide mechanism, which has the power of multiple grenades.
  • Logic Weapon: Gabriel's Horn - A skill that involves the conjuration of a conceptual object of the same name. The Author conjures a trumpet-like hollow shape with an infinite surface area but a finite volume then uses it to unleash a powerful aimed sonic attack.
  • Logic Scheme: The Lady or The Tiger? - A duplicitous attack based on a story with the same name. The Author summons two smaller pentahedrons that will slowly approach their target. One is made of durable glass-like material that contains an orb of explosive radiation, while the other is a decoy made of plasma and radiation. Should the real deal gets hit, it will blow up and the decoy dissipates. Should the decoy get hit, it will release a stunning burst of energy, and the real deal will attempt to tackle the target before blowing up.
  • Logic Scheme: The Bucket Argument - An attack named after an argument of Isaac Newton that intends to demonstrate the concept of absolute rotation. The Author instantly conjures a large bucket-like contraption filled with thick clouds of energy around the target and causes it to rotate at high speeds. Should the target be unable to escape, they would eventually be trapped in a dangerous energy vortex for a prolonged amount of time.
  • Logic Scheme: Heisenberg's Microscope - A simple but highly disorienting skill based on a thought experiment proposed by Werner Heisenberg. The Author manipulates the logic behind the principle of uncertainty and uses this manipulated logic on any object, usually itself and/or anything it summons, making their visually perceived position and actual physical position completely different.
  • Logic Scheme: Laplace's Demon - A precognitive technique named after a theoretical high-intellect entity of the same name. The Author narrows the behavior of everything around it into simple formulae, allowing it to nigh-effortlessly predict actions ahead of time and act in response to them for a certain period of time.
  • Logic Scheme: Maxwell's Demon - A complex attack only usable within closed areas, mimicking a popular thought experiment. The attack begins with the Author summoning an extremely durable wall (with a small but equally durable gate) to divide the room into two sections, or if an adjacent room exists, the Author teleports into that room and assigns the properties of the said barrier to the wall separating the two rooms and the walls surrounding the room the Author resides in. The Author's room would then be filled with two kinds of explosive elemental spheres, fast-moving red spheres which are composed of heat and encapsulated chlorine trifluoride, and slow-paced blue spheres composed of ice and encapsulated liquid nitrogen. Once the room is filled, the Author would periodically open and close the door at high speeds, allowing a single red sphere to enter the other room for each interval. Once all red spheres are relocated to the other room this way, the Author simultaneously detonates all of the spheres.
  • Logic Scheme: Quantum Suicide - A desperation skill that abuses the concept of multiple worlds. Should the Author be put into grave danger of being destroyed by any means, it tracks the split-universe self which successfully survives said threat and rapidly superimposes that self upon receiving that hit, effectively replacing its old self while retaining all of its memories. Can only be used when the Author's life or existence is at high risk. Alternatively, the Author can use it to save a comrade or anything that is under him.
  • Logic Scheme: If a Tree Falls in a Forest... - A skill that is the existential bane of those who rely on concealing themselves, based on an infamous existential question. If the Author is aware of the presence of a specific entity in a 1km radius but is unable to see them, the Author sets a 1-minute timer on that being which can only be stopped by being able to physically witness its presence (by sight, touch, or sound). Should the entity fail to show up and make its presence known within the timer, it will be assaulted by explosive spheres of pure void summoned in its exact coordinates. If it were to be killed/destroyed/knocked out by this and only this skill, it will cease to exist.
  • Logic Scheme: Roko's Basilisk - A malicious conjuration skill based on a thought experiment that is notorious for being regarded as a dangerous infohazard. The Author conjures 2-4 hostile machines which are a component of a bigger machine. The opponent has to safely disable these machines and have them fused to obtain a minor buff. If the opponent is unable to perform this task or destroys one of them, the Author would assemble them and use it to create an opponent with the combined power of all involved components before sending it out to hunt down the enemy for a set period of time.
  • Logic Scheme: Ship of Theseus - A control-seizing skill that mirrors a well-known thought experiment about identity. The Author would target an object in an opponent's possession and gradually improve it by spontaneously and temporarily replacing its parts with better ones one by one in set intervals of time. When all parts have been replaced by better parts, the Author declares that the item is no longer the one that belongs to the owner who has it in possession but is the one that now belongs to the Author for he provided the parts. This temporarily allows him to telekinetically seize control of the item and use it until its effect wears off.
  • Logic Scheme: Teleport - A simplistic skill that involves the transfer of material through quantal means. The Author merely selects an object eligible for teleportation (typically a normally moveable or wieldable object, including itself) and teleports it to an area within a 1km radius.
  • Logic Scheme: Utility Monster - A damage-altering skill that is based on a thought experiment that criticizes utilitarianism. The Author automatically applies a status effect on a target for a set amount of time. This effect could either greatly increase the damage the target receives or greatly reduce the amount of damage the target receives. Other entities caught within a 5ft radius of the target when the effect is applied receives the opposite version of the effect at a milder but more extended rate.

++ Paradoxes - A sub-ability under the Author's Logic Manipulation which involves the forced application of self-contradictory logic, usually causing debilitating afflictions.
  • Binding Anomaly: Barbershop Paradox - [TBA]
  • Orientation Anomaly: Buttered Cat Paradox - A simple skill named after a humorous paradox of the same name. The Author assigns two properties to an object that is either unattached to something or is able to be detached, namely the landing property of a cat and the landing property of face-up buttered bread. By doing this, assuming that the object is now in midair, the object will levitate while rotating at very high speeds until the effect wears off.
  • Oppressive Anomaly: Catch-22 - [TBA]
  • Halving Anomaly: Dichotomy Paradox - A velocity-reducing skill based on the general theme of Zeno's paradoxes. The Author conjures a circular reality field that greatly doubles the time to reach its center the closer an object is to the center, making it impossible to actually touch the center itself through conventional means. The field could either be static and placed like a mat or mobile and able to be moved around under an appointed central anchor.

++ Biases - A sub-ability under the Author's Logic Manipulation which involves the affirmation and application of biases on itself, on an ally/object/area to provide to take advantage of their effects.
TBA

Cheeseburger - "The ideal cheeseburger consists of two bread buns sandwiching a burger patty and at least one slice of cheese flavored with an even spread of a compatible kind of sauce. Other toppings are optional, but the exclusion of pineapples and other fruits is strictly mandatory."

Equipment - n/a

Personality - The Author possesses little raw emotion, preferring to make decisions based on logic and rationality, though occasionally demonstrating some form of spitefulness. When in conversation, the Author may demonstrate an odd and occasionally twisted sense of humor and possesses the tendency to go philosophical in the middle of discussions. It sees its so-called 'Creations' as tools for its own goals but sees their value as indispensable. While the Author is generally untrustworthy due to its abilities allowing it to easily manipulate others, it may decide to be cooperative to those who prove themselves as worthy of its assistance. The Author is loyal to The Man and it views most of the fellow rulers as equals. It is said that opponents of the Author and its rule and those who threaten its own creations, and probably the prized creations of the other fellow rulers are destined to suffer from its cold and calculating machinations.

Favorite color - "The concept of a favorite color is clearly subjective. Due to this, I can freely alter my favorite color at any given moment."

Bio - Little is known about the Author other than the fact that it decided to show up and proposed itself to the council to be appointed to the seat of Logic, claiming that doing so would make good use of its powers.

Comment from the Author: "I am known as the Author because I write and edit the Logic around me, as well a creating the stories of several entities." Current Status: Physical Form Existent

Note: Powers are WIP
