TAKE A BREATH
The night seemed to be a long one and the morning seemed to have arrived too fast for Amanda, she rolled around in her bed and huffed and puffed in frustration, her caramel hair sprawled all over the pillows. He rested her right forearm on her forehead and took a deep breath to try to calm down her heart. The early morning rays woke her up by creeping through the curtains of her bedroom and she needed a second to properly wake up before taking a glance at the digital alarm clock that seemed to be high tech from the 90's. 6:32 the blend grayish numbers read on the plastic device, Amanda then sat up on her bed and looked at her now almost empty room, she had everything packed on the day before because she's heading to college now. University of California was her next destination.
After a rushed morning that had her quickly slid into a simple shirt from her future college and a denim overalls and white sneakers, and a quick but hearty breakfast that her mother made to her, all her family got inside a big truck and headed to the highway so they could drive her to UC. Her heart was thumping in excitement and eagerness against her rib-cage. When her whole family finally parked at the parking lot of the University, a lot of hugs were exchanged and Amanda's older brother helped her carry her belongings to the dorm she was going to live in. She hugged her brother Ryan and found herself alone in the dorm, she took a deep breath and decided to start to set her things in place as she waited to meet her roommate, she wondered if it was going to be a male or a female and if they would get along well.
