The Covenant Army wield different weapons to that of the UNSC. While they rely on bullets, the Covenant employ Plasma type weapons and energy based projectiles in their weapons. While the UNSC weaponry reload, the Covenant one's however are energy based and overheat after prolonged use. Once a Covenant Weapon runs out of energy, it must be recharged at a weapon station in any Covenant Base.

Type-25 Plasma Pistol

One of their many one-hand held weapons, the Plasma Pistol serves as a weaker counterpart to the UNSC Magnum's, firing one shot per second. What the Plasma Pistol is known for however, is it's ability to draw energy from it's storage and charge up a strong EMP shot which will overheat the weapon for a period of time. This weapon is efficient in close range, but longer ranges are not recommended.

The Plasma Rifle is a standard issue weapon for the Covenant, which rapidly fires Plasma shots at the target. It performs well at close to medium range, but is not as effective at long range combat. It is expected that every Covenant race above the Grunts and Jackals carry one at all times.

Type-51 Carbine

The Carbine is a standard issue ranged weapon which serves as the Covenant Counterpart to the Designated Marksman Rifle aka the DMR of the UNSC. Unlike most of the Covenant Weapons, this weapon does contain reload-able clips. It's best used at Medium to Long Range, but can also be used up close.

Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher aka the Needler

The Needler is another favourite of the Covenant, it's capable of launching up to 14 homing needles at the target; one at a time to impale them. After a few seconds, a needle will explode and cause minor damage. However, if enough are impaled into the target, they all combine and explode at once, causing very significant damage.

The Plasma Repeater is an upgraded version of the Plasma Rifle, which functions similar to the UNSC Assault Rifle in that it is a fully auto Plasma Rifle but with a wider cone. It is less accurate than it's smaller version but is used more in the front-lines.

Type-50 Sniper Rifle System aka the Beam Rifle.

The Beam Rifle serves as the Covenant Variant of the Sniper Rifle, shooting out a precise energy projectile at long ranges with high impact. It is frequently used by the Jackal Race and sometimes seen in the hands of an Elite Ranger.

Type-33 Light Anti-Armor Weapon aka the Fuel Rod Cannon.

The Fuel Rod Cannon is designed to deal with groups of enemies as well as the Covenant's Infantry Response to vehicles. Containing five powerful Fuel Rods as it's magazine, this weapon packs a punch to groups of enemies and deadly against vehicles.

Type-50 Directed Energy Rifle/Heavy aka the Concussion Rifle.

The Concussion Rifle is another variant of the Directed Energy Rifle class as it is designed to deal small damage but with high knock-back. While it doesn't deal as much damage as it's other weapons do, it is used to knock enemies back and send vehicles and various objects flying.

The Energy Sword is one of the most deadly weapons the Covenant has created. Serving primarily as a melee weapon, the Energy Sword is a extremely deadly weapon with the ability to lunge it's wielder closer to the enemy to deal a large plasma-based strike.

Type-1 Antipersonnel Grenade aka the Plasma Grenade aka the Sticky Grenade.

The Plasma Grenade is the Covenant's Grenade variant in that it is a thrown-based energy weapon designed to explode after touching a surface for a period of time. The main difference to the UNSC grenade, however; is that this grenade can stick to Vehicles and People, making it a deadly weapon in the hands of a good thrower.

The Plasma Launcher is a large shoulder-held weapon in that it fires Plasma Grenades towards a target. The main difference is that the Plasma Grenades fired from this weapon can lock onto a target after the wielder has aimed at them for a period of time, making it a deadly weapon.​
