" That may be undoubtly true unless they are designed to only activate after a certain number of people or times the steps are climbed onto or if they can be dodged or activate ahead but aim for a lower level."
he replied, listing how traps could be sprung. "How much would you charge him?" He asked, hid tone making it impossible to tell if he was joking or not while he continued to climb up if he could.

Hela climbed up after the group, hoping to help them anyway she could... damn that Sinestro... silently to herself, she prayed he would be okay... why she felt the need she didn't know.

The combined efforts of the group, as well as the added help from the rebar and tools, was just enough to stop the mine cart. The scaffolding held strong despite all of the ruckus. Lucy was panting by the end of the little minecart scruffle. She was acrobatic and fast, sure, but she didn't have much body strength as compensation. Her arms were kind of burning, she must have pulled something. Whatever, she's gotten much worse injuries.

Now that the minecart stopped, the less physical loafers should be able to go over with no trouble. She saw a couple back there who were still down there. Now that the five or so had gone to the trouble to stop it, they better get a move on. If the loafers didn't by the time mostly everyone got to the room over there, then Lucy was honestly going to kick the minecart to start moving and hopefully run them over.

"I'm fine. Let's go."
Lucy said before beginning the long trek up the spiral.

The ladder miraculously revealed no traps.

At the top of the ladder was a small space and industrial elevator doors. Once the first person climbed up the ladder, the doors opened to reveal a large space that could fit everyone and then some.

"There's no other way to go it seems!" said Kokichi. He stepped happily inside.

Will was relieved that there were no traps though.

Will looked over and around the small space and wondered why it was so small and then noticed the elevator doors and looked around to see if there was anything else to do in the immediate small area first.

"It does seem that that there is no other way to go," he said, looking to see if the elevator seemed safe.

"Come on before the elevator leaves without you!" Kokichi said, touching buttons indiscriminately on a panel inside the elevator. The elevator began to close its doors, forcing everyone to go in quickly. Once the doors were closed, the elevator went up.

The elevator doors opened, revealing a large space that appeared to be the lobby of some kind of important building. To the left of the elevator was a long desk with an office chair and a computer that wasn’t working. There were rows of seats beyond the desk, looking blue and probably once comfy, but most were missing and ripped apart now.

Directly across the lobby from the elevator was an entrance (or an exit, one could say) made up of tall, glass doors, but it was impossible to see beyond the glass for two reasons. The first was that a layer of dirt on the glass made it hard to see through, though it at least seemed to be daylight outside by the orange glow that permeated the grime. The second reason one could not see beyond the glass was that wooden spike structures had been built up around the doors, obscuring the glass. The spikes were built in a way that one would have to smash through to get through the doors. They looked intimidating covered in graffiti of skulls and vulgarity.

Large panes of glass went up in an arc around the room, though they were similarly covered in dirt and graffiti. The glass went right up to the ceiling above and were angled inward in a circle around the room, giving the impression that the group was inside a tower. There were solid metal walls around the base of the room making it so jumping up to the glass and escaping through it by force impossible by normal means.

Judging by the arc of the walls, the building was circular, though only half of the circle was available to see. Machines that some might recognize as once having been vending machines were thrown about the lobby, most broken and missing half its parts. Large staircases to the left and right of the elevator went up and around the room, leading up to doors. The elevator itself was a large pillar that went straight up. A large number one was on the pillar, indicating that the group was on the first floor.

Laying on the lobby floor was a robed man with red skin. He was starting to awake and had a bracelet of his own. He would find his belongings missing and his powers cut off.

"Where the fuck are we?" Cole asked, stepping out of the elevator.

Isa ran over to the robed man. "Sir, are you all right?"

From the bracelets came the Overseer's voice. "You have found your final ally. You may proceed from this point."

Hela stepped out of the elevator to see the man. The Overseer said they could proceed... they could? To where? 'This is beginning to get bothersome...' Hela thought.

The happenings that occurred after the boring minecart debacle passed in stride for Izuru. He emerged from the elevator behind everyone else, blinking once after giving the room a single, disinterested look-over. A remarkable mental blueprint of the room's inferred structure instantly printed itself behind the impenetrable exterior of his scarlet eyes. A strange, curious room it was for the time being, given the unexpected emergence of the red-skinned man and some other... irregularities... but it would eventually become boring much like everything else in this pitiful game.

He approached the barricaded entrance opposite of the elevator, running a pale hand along the wooden spikes, glancing through the cracks and minuscule rays of supposed sunlight peeking beyond the dirt-masked glass, as well as the objectively unreachable glass panes fastened overhead.

Izuru shifted his eyes to the side, in the direction of Megatron and Akande.

"Besides me, the two of you are the only ones with the natural strength to do any significant damage to this barricade."

Izuru turned his body to face the two larger specimens fully now.

"I ask that you attempt to do so."

Pyke took a few quick glances around the room, noting the strangely different architecture and elevator. He definitely wasn't in Bilgewater anymore. What kind of room was this anyway?

His eyes focused on the man on the ground. Suddenly remembering the incident with Cole and Kokichi earlier, he walked over with clenched fists. He pointed at Taral with his left arm and asked demandingly, "You ain't a spy too, are ya? Better answer fast."

Well, well, well. Didn't this look familiar.

Numbani-Airport-1024x576.jpg

Ah, Numbani. Perfect, utopian Numbani. They had never seen him coming, and that was what made his return all the more triumphant. From what he had last heard, one of those OR-14 units he had crushed with ease was being remade into something that could completely counter him? And by that little inventor girl who had gone missing for months. Now THAT was what he liked to hear! Little Miss Efi Oladele...here was hoping he would get to meet her invention in person.

But before he could...he had to get out of here first. And here appeared to be...some sort of tower? Ha! A pretty little business facility once upon a time, with dark secrets down below. What lay out there, beyond these walls? Was the town completely deserted, left to the mercy of time and the occasional teenage hooligans? Or was there actual civilization out there? There was only one way to find out, and that was by continuing on with this little game.

Curious as to what could possibly be found around here, Akande started sifting through the remains of the vending machines, before Izuru made his request. "You might be better suited for this, Megatron," the Talon operative said. "I'd rather not risk the splinters."

@Atomic Knight @CrunchyCHEEZIT @Crow @Lucky @Jeremi

"If that is the agreement, then very well," Megatron then unleashes the large broken ladder pieces from earlier that were improvised as tonfas, using their ends alongside his strength to break the wood that barricaded the place. He then decided to observe the glass first before considering the choice of breaking it.

"Hmmm... I believe we should fully investigate this area before we consider leaving. What is there to find is such a vague place, and where did those who caused this chaos flee to?"

'Damn fool... I've already got a spike that will send that cart squirming a little... I've got a plan I think will be able to save anyone riding that cart foolishly... It's going to take a lot of energy though...' Hela thought to herself as the cart neared the spike. Hopefully the rebar thrown down by Will and Cinder did the trick.

@Lucky @York @Sark
Count Dagran? Now that was amusing. Thaal's words were enticing-if one was willing to let the sound of money fill their ears quicker than common sense that is. Dagran had no clue what Thaal would want from a mercenary like him other than perhaps some form of protection in their current predicament, or just simply one more to add to their alliance.

Dagran wasted no time jumping over the cart once it came barreling at the group, and kept going, whether he was successful or not, he'd keep moving.

@Atomic Knight @Ottonomous Ghost @Sark @Yun Lee @Lucky @Space_Candy @Others
A minecart. Of all things that could have been dangerous, it was a hollow piece of wood rushing at God-knows-how-many-metres/a minute that threatened the safety of people. To be honest, anyone who got hit was on them, for backtracking and taking too long to come around. Heck, if they died, then it was some deadweight off the their backs.

Wait, she was also in the group loafing about on lower grounds. Great. Walking backwards so she wasn't so close to the minecart and positioning herself for running start, like what Ashe said, she took a deep breath, and ran.

Usually, her vectors gave acrobatic skills a boost, but surely, she would be able to jump over it, right?
If she had made it over, and not been trampled by the cart, then she had planned to run for it. But after running to where the minecart was nearly out of view, Lucy would then turn around, go back and help Candi, Wesker and Ashe stop the minecart.

What would have compelled her to do that, she had no idea.
@Atomic Knight @Crimson Spartan @will30358 @ShadowCoyote0

"...Huh, that was real brave of her," Sera commented as Candi flew down to try to help the others, idly continuing to eat the chocolate the girl had given her. "Though why's everyone trying to stop the cart anyway? If they just move past it they won't have to worry about it anymore. Weird."

With a slight shrug as if to say she didn't feel like spending any more time thinking about it, Sera turned around to face the door before her instead. Seemingly ignoring the others struggling with the mine cart, she instead tried to open the door.

@Atomic Knight
"Uh..."

Sera ending up wasting more time with the introduction of this bickering duo, staring blankly at them for a moment as they argued back and forth. She wasn't sure what Dhaos meant about wasting time in the first place, but perhaps he just really did hold annoyance and grumpiness towards everything. Or something. That wasn't really any of her business. At the very least, they seemed to have settled down for now. With that, Sera eventually turned her focus back to the door.

"I don't know if I need a key, but it hasn't opened just yet," she said, fiddling with the door some more. "But a demon king and a machine huh? That's really cool, it's like a party from a manga or something~"

The key fit perfectly. Beyond the door was a small hallway. The way forward was blocked by a ton of metal debris, but there was a metal ladder that went up to a floor above. The ladder was very sturdy.

"Strange. We went all the way up - only to go down? Does this imply a change in supposed goals?"

Megatron approaches the cloaked, red man and looks down upon him.

Hela stepped out of the elevator to see the man. The Overseer said they could proceed... they could? To where? 'This is beginning to get bothersome...' Hela thought.

@Atomic Knight @Everyone

Nathan walked out of the elevator, face full of disinterest. He stared blankly as the "Overseer" spoke.

He moved over towards Kokichi not having spoken to him yet.

Pyke
@Donder172 @anyone

Cinder, after seeing that Nishiki actually stepped out of the minecart narrowed her eyes as her gaze returned to where the mine cart had originated from.

xfLksDn.png

"It wasn't a coincidence. Someone made that cart move..." She said, suddenly seeming more cautious than she was before.

Nonetheless, she followed the others as they began to head through the door atop the spiral path... Now open, thanks to a key found earlier.

Once there, the rest of the journey seemed straight forward; up a ladder, and into an elevator.

From there, she wasn't entirely sure where to go. Whoever the robed man was, their last 'ally' as the Overseer called him, she didn't have much interest in checking on him, seeing as someone else was already ahead of her.

And considering that someone else was already sifting through the Vending machines, Cinder instead chose to inspect the wooden spikes sealing the doors. In her mind, they were the only things keeping her from escaping, therefore... She figured she would see if she could find any weaknesses she could exploit.

The pieces of rebar she had left could work as makeshift crowbars, but she doubted she could slice her way through just with that alone if she couldn't find a good way to simply pry apart these spike structures.

If escape from this building was as easy as it looked, she would take it... But yet, she couldn't help but feel cautious either way; aside from this being another part of whatever test they might be undergoing... There must be a reason why the doors were blocked off in such a way, especially after all this time this building must have just sat here, unattended, considering all that grime covering the glass by now.

Chapter One
"Tower"

Much like Isa, Dhaos as well made his way towards the downed robed man. "Get up." Instead of a friendly wake up however the man would be met by a shove from Dhaos' boot. Not waiting to see if that startled the individual back to life, Dhaos went on to inspect the windows among the others. He didn't attempt to break through the wood or anything, that would be up to the rest of the rabble if they decided to get their hands dirty. "A thorough sweep of the area would be beneficial." From the windows Dhaos made his way to the to the left staircase and ascended to see what he could find at the top.

@Atomic Knight @Everyone

Lucy walked pass the robed man with no acknowledgement, and straight to the wooden spikes. Taking a quick look around her, she didn't show it, but Lucy was utterly baffled. So uh...they came out of prison? And now there're on a massive tower? The overseer wasn't rehabilitating them no, it's a game between her and them bad people. Except she's cheating with the bracelets. Unfortunately, despite the tower likely being surrounded by glass, escape was possible. And according to some people she knew, apparently, these kind of rooms were often on high towers.

"Cinne-Cinder? Is it possible for you or that...Cole man to burn these spikes?"
She was sure she got the names correct, right? Oh well, they know who they are.

Lucy had a feeling it was a bad idea or it wouldn't work though. She turned and walked to the broken vending machines before examining them.Perhaps there would be a broken-off piece of sharp material that she would use? Or perhaps a few weren't broken, and had something in it? She wanted to find out.

Hela, understanding her objective, began to search the area, maybe she would find something interesting.

Taral slowly regained concious. The first thing he tried was getting his bearings. He heard several voices, none of them were recognizable to him. They were all from strangers. He opened his eyes and looked at the people standing nearby. He slowly stood up as he looked at them quietly, observing, even focussed. Then it came to him, as he tried to reach out through the Force and towards the others, he felt nothing. There was nothing, he couldn't feel the Force anymore. His hand moved to his belt, he then noticed his lightsaber was missing. He already did not feel the weight of it, but this confirmed that it was indeed missing.

Taral looked towards Pyke. He stared right into his eyes. While weakened, his face showed no signs of fear. "I am not a spy. I am a Sith." Taral replied, unfortunately, he couldn't prove that now that he didn't have his powers.
