Distance Heritage, Attempt 2

Leon looked at the home-made bomb from Silvan being created, it looked like a mess. But what do you expect from a bomb that is made in a short time? it matters the most that it works after all. Leon then followed the others when they started to move to the priest's office, keeping his guard up as the police tried to slam into the door

As Viola heard the sounds coming from the door she stood there as she waited, ready to throw the phones of explosive nature. She waited as the banging got louder and louder. Once the door was kicked in and broken she threw the phones at the door. She quickly turned around to ignore the mess that is bound to happen as she starts running in the opposite direction of the door from which the police came, with a loud bang heard behind her. There were some screaming heard coming from the carnage site, as many of the cops did not have time to react to the small ''phones''.

Mateo ran somewhat in the middle but, positioned himself so that no one was standing directly behind or infrot of him. Or atleast he did an attempt. As he heard the explosions from behind he sped up his pace."Come come, quick," Mateo called as he glanced over his shoulder to make sure no one of the group got hurt by the explosions.

Maria nodded at the priest and ran towards the bookshelf. "Come help," she called as she tried to push the bookshelve aside. With the explosions stopping the police, t was no longer necesary for Lyanne to make walls and the girl in in the drection of her aunt. Togheter they managed to move it and a whole in wall apeared.

As it opened they entered the pitch black tunnel behind it, only getting lit by the dimlight of the church. "Come hurry up," Mateo said as he too walked into the tunel bringing him and the unconseus grl in his arm to safety.

"Once everyone's in, we should collapse the entrance," Riley said while she helped move the bookshelf. "Young young ones first," she instructed.

Creepy tunnels with spides about, the perfect place to hide during hid and seek. Violet remained asleep for a little longer but eventually, she managed to regain a little consciousness. She opened her eyes, still feeling very drowsy, a lot like having a really bad hangover. "My head hurts," she commented while holding unto Mateo, "Wait, am I dead? Is that the gateway to the underworld?" she asked, her sight got better eventually.

"No, this is life," Silvan replied to his awakening sister. He then turned to the tunnel. It's dark, very dark. Silvan took a deep breath and proceeded to rush inside the tunnels first.

Leon into the tunnels in time as well and he almost directly noticed the tunnels were extremely dark "Well.. Im rather here in these dark tunnels than in the hands of the cops.. We just got to watch out and let our eyes get used to the dark." Leon added as it would take a couple of minutes before everyone's eyes would get fully used to the dark.

Viola rushed in and followed others into the dark room. ''Does anyone got a flashlight or an electronic that can changed into a flashlight by these two fancy mechanic demigods?'' She asked as she walked, holding a close touch with the walls to know where she is going.

Lyanne turned on the flashlight of her cellphone brighten up the hall and closed the door behind her.

"Lyanne can take care of that no need for more explosions," Maria said.

Lyanne pointed shortly in the direction of the door and wall blocked off the entrance. Leaving the group locked off from the church in a hallway only lit up by the light of a mobile phone.

Mateo glanced over at the girl, "great you are awake. Can you stand?" he asked as he put the girl back on her feet making sure to support her incase she would fall. "Now the only thing we need to do is find that person who suppose to lead us to the other side,"

Mathew had been laying across the cold stone floor of the tunnels dozing when he felt dust rain down on his face from the ceiling. The dust was normal from time to time so he didn't think much of it until the moment he felt the weak vibrations and muffled shouts coming from above, which were highly unusual. Immediately he jumped up and rushed down the tunnel toward the entrance that he jokingly called the "hidey hole", which he thought was a highly suitable name for the makeshift entry. He heard voices at the end of the tunnel as he approached it and instinctually he laid his hand on the pistol on his hip. As he rounded the corner to potentially get rid of whoever interrupted his well-deserved nap, he switched on a miniature flashlight with his left hand and with the other pulled the pistol out of its holster to point at the trespassers. "Hands up!... Who let you in?" Mathew never did trust uninvited guests.

Violet stood up for a second, she had spaghetti legs but she managed to get her balance after a few short seconds. The girl managed to smile a little, chuckling lightly. "I think I'm doing much better," she replied, taking a very deep breath. Though this place is rather dark, even with the phone light on. She proceeded to walk right beside her brother who was in the middle of the group. She looked up ahead.

Without warning, a flashlight went into her eyes.
"Are you the guardian on the tunnels, shouldn't you speak in riddles or something like that?" Violet asked immediately.
"Maybe he did say a riddle," Silvan suggested.

"Quiet kids," Riley said immediately, she brought the twins behind Mateo.

Viola walked along with the demigods in their diaspora until they were stopped by someone that appeared like they lived in the tunnel. ''The priest upstairs let us in! The cops are in the church upstairs and we need to flee the city!'' She shouted at Mathew, her voice echoing through the moist and dank tunnel.

Leon followed the group, he was more to the side near the walls until he got stopped by the unknown person who shined the flashlight at the group as Leon immediately stood more ready in the case the group would get attacked, as he then heard the voices of the other demigods, he decided to stay silent as the essentials were explained already.

Mateo walked upfront placing himself between the unknown person and the group. "The government has found us. The priest had told us you could bring us to safety is that, correct?" he said.

Lyanne did a step back standing near the others, waiting at what the man would do.

Mathew hadn't expected all the intruders to be mainly children, but by the way the small group spoke and interacted with each other they were much more mature than they appeared. Keeping his pistol trained on them all he waited until all of their questions were asked and statements made then proceeded to answer them one at a time. He addressed Violet first, "I protect all of the underground passageways, I think speaking in riddles is a little beyond my mental compacity so I don't speak in riddles."

He thought for a moment about how he would respond to the other two of the group that had spoken before he found a reasonable response. Addressing Mateo and Viola he spoke again, "If the priest let you in then it must be important because he would never let anyone down here he couldn't trust. I guess if the government has found you then you'll need to get out of the city right?" He lowered his pistol partially and dimmed the flashlight until it was nearly turned off. A light breeze whipped around Mathew's body and in the blink of an eye, the only thing left where he had been standing was a thin white smoke and down the tunnel a few feet away, the smoke appeared again where Mathew reappeared just as fast he had disappeared. Mathew smiled mischievously at the group and spoke to them all "Looks like I might finally get a chance to change the world."

"Sounds great," Riley responded, "How long do you think we'll take to cross these tunnels?" The lady asked immediately. She made sure to keep the twins very close though. The constant light from the flashlight did hurt her eyes a little, so she was very appreciative when the flashlight was turned off a little. She looked back again, despite the fact that much of the noise was muffled and echoed the faint sound of police searching the churches was heard.

Well, there's no point in standing around here doing nothing. Silvan proceeded to walk up ahead immediately, followed by her sister of course. The tunnels, for the most part, seemed to be one straight line, dark moist and a couple of rats here and there. The typical underground tunnel. Good thing this isn't a horror story.

Viola nods at the discussion. ''Don't you guys worry about the fact that the cops may... find out the entrance to this tunnel? They could possibly come after us anytime soon.'' She said, soon looking at Lyanne. ''Stonegirl! Can you form a wall behind us so that, in case the cops start coming down here, they will have one wall blocking their path.'' She said.

"the entrance was already hidden fairly well and not the most easy to open, but its the best idea to make that wall anyway" Leon said as he then started to follow the others

Lyanne glanced angrily at Viola for a moment but, it wasn't worth it to get mad at it now. No need to waste her energy at it now. She simply put her hand up to cover up the tunnel with a massive wall. It did make the necessary noise.

Mateo nodded at the boy. "Come hurry," he said as he gestured the others to walk in front of him.

Mathew watched from where he stood away from the group, admiring the way that the group worked together like a well-oiled machine. He responded to Riley's question after the stone wall had gone up, even from a distance the tunnel amplified his voice and created echos. "It shouldn't take more than an hour to get out of these tunnels. However, that depends on how far you want to go without being caught." When he finished talking he slung a small pouch that was on his back to his front to dig for spare flashlights the rest of the group could use.

"An hour's good time," Riley said, she made sure all of the younger demigods were caught up, and within the group before finally walking again. She continued to look around for a little bit. There seemed to be a few leaky pipes here and there, giving a rather damp feeling in the area. "Are there any dangers up ahead? Maybe underground gangs or giants rats?" She then asked.

"Or giant rat gangs," Violet added immediately.

"Evil spirits would be cool," Silvan added.
