A horrible, foreboding yet magical marsh that constantly reeks of death and decay. When the Knights of Old came to Rolm, they would bury their thousands of dead and that of their enemies in the swamp, as the body would decay quickly. However if they had known earlier they would’ve rather left their dead for the wildlife, as marsh would cause the bodies to twist, molding them to hairless, pale creatures, running around on all fours, becoming the unwilling and undying protectors of the Marsh.

-Undying Pawn: A common, easily dispatched creature. While they are unable to do much on their own, swarm all invaders on sight by the dozen, using long rending claws that can even tear apart Void Born armor. Some Pawns made from the of Knights of Old from centuries ago, the Armored Pawns are too crazed and violent to make use of their years of skills, but they retain their armor.

-Spectral Void Born: Centuries ago, the Emerald Knight led a force of Void Born into Drakenvulf Marsh to cleanse the Marsh of the Undying Pawns but failed, losing dozens of Void Born. Those Void Born who fell in Drakenvulf Marsh were affected by the Marsh’s magic trapping the souls and forcing it bind with the land itself, turning the Void Born into a specter. The Spectral Void Born has the ethereal appearance of their previous lives, and carry the spectral weapons they have used before their bondage. Unlike the Pawns they take with them the skills they’ve spent decades refining.
