The Evrensel Conflict Fire Emblem

Mr. Wade & Watch

Cult of Personality
From my buddy Fal:

General Summary:
The Fire Emblem canon features a bunch of different continents across all of its many, many games, and while some are explicitly connected, most other connections are simply fan theories. However, there is one connection we'll be taking advantage of for the sake of this multiverse forum- the Outrealms. Much like how the Amala Network has been co-opted as a highway between the various 'verses of SMT, the Outrealms will connect the various 'verses of Fire Emblem within its own multiverse. Assume there are portals (think Awakening's Outrealm Gate) to be found in all of the available continents.
Also, a few key things to note:
1. Heroes and Warriors aren't a part of the canon, either officially or at Evrensel, so those exclusive characters and locales will not be included. I figured as much would be obvious considering the nature of those games, but might as well be explicit.
2. Jugdral, Archanea/Valentia, and Ylisse/Valm are all part of the same world, just different points along the timeline. They're still going to be treated as separate locations, so to travel to each will still require use of the Outrealm gates.
3. The Outrealms can serve as a means to jump between the different parts of the FE world, but they themselves can't be explored. Outrealms too jank tbh

1. Archanea/Valentia (FE1/2/3/11/12/15):

Since there have been canon claims from this part of the FE 'verse, assume that the canon thusly matches up- it's after the War of Heroes has concluded, so post-FE12/FE15.

There's a ton of lore behind Archanea and thusly Valentia as well (in part because of the tie-in with Jugdral), so bear with me.

Archanea:
Many millennia ago, the dragons were the dominant species on Archanea, but their ruler, Naga of the Divine Dragon Clan, understood/foretold/figured out that the species would soon fall to madness if they didn't do something about it. The solution Naga found was to seal their powers away within dragonstones and take humanoid forms, only able to release their true draconic nature through the use of these stones, becoming Manaketes. Most dragons accepted this solution. Many others did not- including all of the Earth Dragon clan but Medeus, the clan's prince. Those who refused became feral and a war began between the Divine Dragons and the Earth Dragons; the former clan were the victors, and Naga created a seal to keep the defeated Earth Dragons within the Dragon's Table. This seal took the form of the Binding Shield, forged from one of Naga's fangs, and five orbs- the Lightsphere, Lifesphere, Geosphere, Darksphere, and Starsphere. Naga also created a sword blessed with her power, the Falchion, from one of her fangs so the humans could fight back against the mighty dragons should they ever need to. The feral dragons of the other weaker tribes go to isolated areas, e.g. a desert, a volcano (the Flame Barrel), and the icy mountains around the Ice Dragon Shrine, where they all wait to die.

It's at around this point- before the conclusion of the Earth Dragon war- that a Jugdrali human stumbles across an Earth Dragon named Loptyr, who possesses him and drives him to madness, but more on this in the Jugdral section.

Anyways, Naga enshrines the Binding Shield and the Falchion in the Fane of Raman (and also abandons her daughter Tiki at the Ice Dragon Shrine but that's unimportant), and soon after dies, leaving her few remaining fellows and Medeus to watch over the world. A couple centuries afterwards, a thief, Adrah, breaks into the Fane of Raman and pilfers the Binding Shield and three weapons- Gradivus, Parthia, and Mercurius, the three Regalia. Adrah, in his ignorance, breaks off the orbs from the shield in order to sell them, thereby weakening the seal and making the Earth Dragons' return inevitable. Adrah then gets a smart idea and takes his funds and his stupidly powerful weapons and amasses an army before conquering the whole of the continent.

He founds the Holy Kingdom of Archanea and renames the broken Binding Shield as the Fire Emblem. The kingdom's fine and dandy for a while, but Medeus has been stewing at the Dragon's Table and is quite rightly pissed at how the humans have taken to treating both the Manaketes and the feral dragons. He makes his own empire in Dolhr- an empire for Manaketes- and eventually decides that vengeance against the humans is a good idea. Dolhr invades Archanea and their capital falls to the Manaketes; all of the royal family but Princess Artemis are wiped out. Artemis escapes to Altea and meets Anri, where she is defended against pursuant forces by the Alteans. Anri is chosen by Gotoh, the Divine Dragon watching over the Ice Dragon Shrine, to be the wielder of the Falchion, and as such is guided in that direction by Gotoh.

Meanwhile, Duke Cartas and General Ordwin of Archanea lead a revolution effort against the Dolhrians; Iote the slave learns to tame wyverns and leads a slave rebellion against, well, also the Dolhrians; and Anri eventually returns with the Falchion in hand to slay Medeus. Cartas marries Artemis and becomes the new king of Archanea. Following this, most of the modern kingdoms of Archanea are founded- Macedon by Iote, Grust by Ordwin, Altea by Anri, and Aurelis by Cartas, who gave it to his younger brother. The kingdom of Archanea is suzerain to all of these countries.

King Anri dies without an heir and is succeeded by his younger brother, Marcelus. Some nobles disagree with the succession and split from Altea to form the nation of Gra. Around the same time, Gotoh decides it'd be a great idea to teach the humans magic and so establishes a magic academy in the deserts of Khadein. Several decades later, the kingdom of Talys is formed when Mostyn unites its various tribes under his banner; it is still a young nation by the time the War of Shadows rolls around.

Speaking of! About a century after Dolhr's first invasion, Medeus is revived by a former pupil of Gotoh's gone evil, Gharnef, and he goes about doing what he did the first time. This leads to the events of FE1/11 (Shadow Dragon), which are followed by the events of FE3/12 (New Mystery), which can be summarized as such: Marth goes to war twice, retrieves Falchion twice, and kills Medeus twice. Gharnef also dies- twice- along the way at the hands of X mage with Starlight. This summary is already too damn long so that's all I'm giving.

Valentia:
Two members of the Divine Dragon Clan- Mila and Duma, also of the Divine Dragon Clan- moved to Valentia, with Duma bearing a second Falchion for the humans to use when he and his sister inevitably fell to the dragons' madness. Their might leads to them being worshipped as gods, but as the two could not agree on how to rule and guide their charges, they split the continent into two nations- Duma's nation of Rigel in the north, and Mila's nation of Zofia in the south. They make a pact to never interfere with each other. At first, things went swimmingly, but eventually Rigel became power hungry, interested only in strength, and Zofia fell to softness and debauchery.
Eventually, things come to head when General Desaix of Zofia breaks the gods' pact by allying with Rigel and betraying the royal family. Two of the royal children- Anthiese and Conrad- manage to escape. Mila goes missing at some point and the crops of Zofia begin to fail, plus drought and all that good fun.
Again, can't really be assed to summarize the events of the game outside of Alm helps overthrow Desaix, Celica investigates Mila's disappearance, Alm invades Rigel, Celica takes the idiot ball and goes to the Duma Faithful to try and get Mila back, and eventually they meet up and seal Duma away. Mila already sealed herself away because stuff.
Alm and Celica also get married and unite the kingdoms again but I reckon that part was something everyone already knew.

Continent of Archanea:
Map of Archanea: https: //serenesforest.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/fe12-world-map.jpg
Akaneia = Archanea, Medon = Macedon, Doluna = Dolhr
Assume all of the countries have their fair share of villages and smaller unnamed cities. I'll only be listing named locations.

Archanea: the largest nation and the central one. Has a couple of named cities free for visiting, these being Pales, the capital, and Knorda, the country's resident hive of scum and villainy. Illegal gladiator rings, child slaves, kidnapping, thievery, the whole shebang- it's all in Knorda and its infamous market. It also runs the gamut of landscapes, featuring plains, forests, and mountains; notably, a ring of mountains with a single pass surrounds the Knorda area.

Aurelis: a plains kingdom famed for its wild horses and its horsemen. As in riders, not centaurs. Just to be clear.

Altea: Altea itself is an island with the only named city as the capital, Anri, and one named village, Sera. Described as having lush farmland and forests, it's beautiful country.

Gra: island country directly neighboring Altea. Similar landscape as Altea.

Talys: very small island country with no significant military of its own and semi-frequent pirate incursions. Considering this is Caeda's home kingdom, these have likely died off due to help from Altea's military. Marth's gotta protect his father-in-law.

Pyrathi: isolationist island kingdom; formerly ruled by a Manakete, who is now dead as shit.

Grust: militant kingdom on a large island; known for its Sable Order of knights.

Macedon- neighbors Dolhr, known for its dense forests and the military's mighty Dragoons. The capital is also constructed on a plateau for defensive purposes.

Dolhr: home of the Manaketes, though their numbers have been greatly reduced by the two recent wars. It's mostly just wild wyverns now. Similar landscape to Macedon.

Anri's Way: that's the big chunk of unnamed territory in the northwest section of the map. It goes Desert of Death, Flame Barrel (volcanic), icebound mountains and Ice Dragon Shrine.

Thabes: it's an old terrifying place that's currently full of Terrors and specters. Was once used as Gharnef's
hideout; hides a lot of powerful, dangerous things, in its tower and in its depths. Like Grima! Oh yeah,

Grima's actually just a hideous abomination created by the alchemist Forneus from thanatophages (spooky beetles) and the blood of a divine dragon.
Continent of Valentia:
Map: https: //serenesforest.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/echoes-world-map-2-e.jpg
The locations are so nicely delineated on that map that I'm not gonna bother describing them.
However, worth noting that the country of Rigel is more mountainous and barren, though not replete of forests, and has poisonous swamps around Duma's Tower; Zofia is pretty lush, with decent farmland and forests.
Fan-made map of the continents side by side, 'cuz it's neat: https: //img00.deviantart.net/4f0c/i/2017/252/e/f/map_of_archanea_and_valentia_by_chainosaur-dbmxqxj.jpg

2. Jugdral (FE4/5):

A couple millennia after the dragons formed their civilization on the continent of Archanea, humans on a separate continent form the Grann Kingdom, which eventually becomes the Grann Republic. A wandering bishop, Galle, stumbles upon Archanea around the time of the Divine-Earth Dragon war and forms a pact with the Earth Dragon Loptyr, who possesses Galle via blood bond. Galle returns and forms the Loptyrian cult around the dragon's power, leading to his reputation as a dark god, and he creates the Deadlords to serve him- 12 mighty undead warriors. With his cult, deadlords, and dragon-given power, Galle conquers the Grann Republic and forms the Loptyrian Empire. Galle is its first emperor, and all subsequent emperors were also possessed by Loptyr.

The empire sticks around for about two centuries, killing loads of people- the Great Purge wiped out 100,000, children are sacrificed to Loptyr in droves in the Sorrow of Miletos, and tens of thousands are killed at the Massacre of Edda- and one of the current emperor's brothers, Maera, is cast into exile for daring to suggest they be somewhat less of giant assholes.
This is important because he survives and carries the Loptyr bloodline past the empire's fall, which leads to fuckery in the future.

Warriors from across Jugdral band together to revolt against the Loptyrians. They're crushed and driven to a single stronghold in Darna, but luckily for them Naga and some of her dragon bros have caught wind of the holy shit-ness going on and have decided they should probably fix this mess. Naga and 11 of her bros, including Forseti and Salamand, descend upon Darna and choose twelve worthy warriors, performing blood bonds with them and granting them powerful holy weapons and magic with which they can stand against the empire and Loptyr himself. These 12 become known as the 12 Crusaders, the dragons are revered as gods, and the event is called the Miracle of Darna.

The Crusaders defeat and overthrow the emperor and the empire, and subsequently found their own nations. Noba and Dain founded Thracia; Hezul founded Agustria; Od founded Isaach; Ced founded Silesses; and Heim and the others founded Grannvale and its duchies.

Baldr the Duchy of Chalphy, Neir the Duchy of Dozel, Ulir the Duchy of Jungby, Blagi the Duchy of Edda, Fjalar the Duchy of Velthomer, and Thrud the Duchy of Friege. Heim was the king of the nation of Grannvale.

The nations of Verdane and Miletos were also founded, though not by any of the Crusaders.
Following these foundings, the nations prospered for a century or so, but trouble's a-brewing again as Grannvale and Isaach go to war over the former assuming the latter desecrated the holy site of Darna. Following an invasion of Jungby by Verdane, Sigurd and his friends have gone on a wild adventure of invasions and political scheming screwing them over and the whole continent's tense as shit. Pretty much every nation has been invaded by somebody at this point, and Sigurd is poised to march on his own country's capital to prove his innocence and reveal the machinations of the Dukes of Friege and Dozel.
And that's where the canon's at.

Grandbell = Grannvale, Silesia = Silesse, Isaac = Isaach, that sorta thing

Grannvale: kingdom at the center of the continent. Consists of six duchies serving the royal family found at Valhalla; has a nice landscape, decent mix of plains and trees with few mountains, though it is bordered by the Yied Desert around Velthomer/Valhalla.

Agustria: similarly to Grannvale, Agustria consists of several houses serving the royal family. Interestingly, the royal family does not carry its founding Crusader's holy blood- House Nordion does. Borders Grannvale's eastern side and has a similar landscape to Grannvale, albeit with some seascape.

Verdane: one of the two countries not founded by a crusader. It's a heavily forested ring of land around a central lake and has a reputation as a barbarian kingdom due to frequent incursions into other countries' territory.

Miletos: the other country not founded by a crusader, Miletos is a peninsula and a bustling hub of commerce. It's one of if not the wealthiest nations in Jugdral.

Isaach: "The northeasternmost nation of Jugdral founded by the Crusader Od, Isaach is renowned for its unique and talented warrior culture, centered around the art of swordplay." Separated from Grannvale by the Yied Desert, and has more of that desert spilling over into its climate.

Thracian Peninsula: originally a unified nation, it has since divided into two, Manster and Thracia, due to a schism. The Manster District is to the north, is a coalition of four small kingdoms and some small free cities, and is full of lush and fertile farmland. Thracia, on the southern part of the peninsula, is dominated by mountains and little available area for farmland. It's known for its dragon knights and has made frequent attempts to encroach upon Manster territory.

Silesse: The northernmost part of Jugdral, Silesse is mountainous and blanketed in snow for most of the year, making it difficult to invade even without considering its fleets of pegasus riders and talented mage knights. It tries to be Jugdral's Switzerland, though this doesn't always work out.

3. Elibe (FE6/FE7):

Iirc Lyn has been claimed as being post-FE7, so the canon is that- post-FE7.

It was at this point that I stopped trying to prove something to myself and started copy-pasting from the wiki.

"In ancient times, Elibe hosted a dragon population which coexisted peacefully with humanity. This changed with the start of the Scouring, a war waged by humans to take Elibe as wholly their own and to purge dragons from it entirely. Despite their immense power, the dragons were hindered by their lower population and far slower birth rate compared to humans, prompting the creation of a demon dragon intended to artificially bolster the number of dragons fighting in the war. In retaliation, humans forged the eight legendary weapons, extremely powerful weapons forged solely to fight dragons. As with their Archanean counterparts, the dragons of Elibe were also forced to become Manaketes as a result of the Ending Winter, a distortion of the laws of nature caused by the power of the divine weapons which resulted in dragons no longer being able to exist in their present forms. In the Scouring's aftermath, the vast majority of surviving dragons fled Elibe through the Dragon's Gate on Valor; most of those who remained took up residence in Arcadia, while one more - Jahn - hid in the Dragon Temple for the following centuries to heal wounds sustained in the Scouring." The Eight Heroes also found Idenn, who attacked them in demon dragon form, but Hartmut failed to kill her and instead the Heroes sealed her away using the Binding Blade and the Fire Emblem.
The Eight Heroes then went on to found nations- are you sensing a pattern here- as follows: Hartmut founded Bern; Saint Elimine founded Etruria; Barigan founded Ilia; Durban founded the Western Isles; Roland founded the Lycian League; and Hanon… maybe founded Sacae?
Archsage Athos founded the city of Arcadia in the Nabata Desert, which is the one place humans and dragons coexist.

Not gonna paraphrase the plot of FE7, and certainly not FE6 since it's in the future!

Map: https: //fireemblemwiki.org/w/images/5/5d/FERK_Elibe.jpg

Bern: "Founded by Hartmut the Hero, leader of the Eight Legends of Elibe, the monarchy of Bern is one of the most powerful military nations, having a large military force. Wyverns are native to this country. It is also the resting place for the Fire Emblem, which serves as Bern's national treasure, and it is also where the Shrine of Seals is located. Hartmut's Divine Weapon, the Royal Blade Eckesachs, as well as the almighty Binding Blade, reside here."

Etruria: "Founded by St. Elimine, one of the Eight Legends, Etruria is one of the largest nations in Elibe and the most advanced civilization, rumored to rival Bern in military strength. The St. Elimine Church is based in this country, the source of the religion mostly popular in Etruria and Bern. Like Bern, it is also ruled by a monarch. The largest city and capital is Aquleia. St. Elimine's Divine Weapon, Aureola the "Pinnacle of Light" and the Saint's Staff reside here."

Lycia: "Founded by Roland the Champion, one of the Eight Legends, Lycia is geographically located in the center of Elibe and is home to every playable lord in both games. It is made up of a federation of numerous territories, each ruled by a powerful Marquess, and those leaders form a council which governs the country. The most powerful territory is Ostia, which leads the council as the ruling territory. Roland's Divine Weapon, Durandal the "Blazing Sword", resides here."

Ilia: "Founded by Barigan the Holy Knight, one of the Eight Legends, Ilia is the northern-most nation in Elibe and is described as a snowy wasteland which cannot support farming very well. Most people become mercenaries to survive while there are some who become scholars. The largest city and capital is Edessa. Pegasi are native to this country. Barigan's Divine Weapon, Maltet the "Lance of Ice", resides here."
Sacae: "Founded by Hanon the Divine Trooper, one of Eight Legends, Sacae is a vast, open plain country of nomads. There are three main tribes of nomads in Sacae; the Kutolah, the Djute, and the Lorca tribe, although most of the Lorca were killed off before the events of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. The largest city and capital is Bulgar. Nomads and Myrmidons hail from this country. Hanon's Divine Weapon, Murgleis the "Gale Bow", resides here."

Western Isles: "Settled by the barbarian clans under Durban the Berserker, one of the Eight Legends, the Western Isles are an archipelago of 3 major islands off the coast of Etruria, mainly colonized by the Etrurians. The largest city and capital is Jutes. It is rich in minerals and resources, although piracy and banditry often occurs in the country. Durban's Divine Weapon, Armads the "Thunder Axe", resides here."
Nabata Desert: "The Nabata desert is located on Missur, a desert peninsula at the southwestern corner of Elibe. It is a desert wasteland, but it is rumoured that a secret village in the desert called Arcadia shelters a coexistence of dragons and humans. Athos the Archsage, one of the Eight Legends, took refuge in the desert after the events of the Scouring. It was here that he met Nergal and discovered Arcadia. His Divine Weapon, Forblaze the "Infernal Element", resides here."

Valor: "Also known as the Dread Isle, Valor is located to the south of Lycia and is home to many mysterious ruins, including the Dragon's Gate. It was here that another of the Eight Legends, Bramimond the Enigma, sacrificed its humanity in order to gain the power of Apocalypse, the "Silencing Darkness," and best Dragons. This was the original location of Bramimond's Divine Weapon before it was hidden under the Shrine of Seals in Bern with its creator."

4. Magvel (FE8):

Assume canon is the beginning of Sacred Stones until someone claims a canon stating otherwise.

"Magvel's current calendar starts at the original defeat of the Demon King exactly 803 years ago.
Little is known of the time before the current calendar, only that monsters were on their way to domination, and humanity was nearing the brink of extinction. In humanity's desperation it prayed to the heavens and was granted the five Sacred Stones. The Sacred Stones possessed the power to combat the hordes of monsters and the Demon King himself. The Demon King was defeated by the five heroes and sealed within the Sacred Stone that would eventually belong to Grado. Morva and the orphaned Myrrh were both present for this, with Morva himself aiding humanity. After the Demon King's defeat relative peace settled into the continent for the next 800 years.

Some time around the early 800s Lyon began his experiments with Grado's Sacred Stone. His experiments were for the betterment of humanity, however, they were also what would set Magvel awash in blood once again. In the year 802 Lyon's father, Vigarde had died. Lyon was mentally unable to cope with this, and pushed his experiments further, in hopes of reviving his father. This only made things worse, as Lyon's experiments allowed the Demon King to possess him. And, in the year 803, set Grado to war with every other country on the continent."

Since canon is the beginning of SS, this is the world state. Undead and monsters are coming back (in pretty much the same flavor as Valentia's Terrors because FE8 is pretty much Gaiden Lite but on GBA), Grado at war with people, Orson with a corpse in his bed, etc.

I really love the fact that this series has so many available maps: https: //fireemblemwiki.org/w/images/f/f7/FESS_Magvel.png
More detailed look (though without names): https: //fireemblemwiki.org/w/images/d/d9/Ss_fe08_world_map_ingame_annotated.png

Renais: The kingdom of Renais is ruled by Fado, the peerless Warrior King. It is the home of the twin lords Ephraim and Eirika.

Frelia: The kingdom of Frelia is ruled by Hayden, the venerable Sage King and the father of the pegasus knight Tana and the sniper Innes. Frelia is also home to pegasi which are trained for military purposes.

Jehanna: The kingdom of Jehanna is ruled by Ismaire, the Queen of the White Dunes. Her son is Joshua, the myrmidon. Since the nation exists mostly out of desert, there seem to be a heavy focus on being a mercenary in order to earn your daily bread.

Rausten: The theocracy of Rausten is ruled by Mansel, the Divine Emperor, where in he claims to be a descendant of the saintly Latona. His heir is his niece L'Arachel, the troubadour. It was founded by the saintly Latona, one of the Five Heroes.

Grado: The Grado Empire is ruled by Vigarde, the Silent Emperor. His son, the necromancer Lyon, is a good friend of Ephraim and Eirika, who are appalled and confused by Grado's sudden betrayal. Grado is the largest country of Magvel and its eponymous founder, Grado, was the leader of the Five Heroes who stood against the Demon King. It is the main antagonistic country in the game.

Carcino: The emerging mercantile republic of Carcino is governed by a council of elders, and, unlike the other nations of Magvel, is more of a democratic-republic nation than a monarchy or theocracy. It was established more recently than the other nations and is the only nation not founded by one of the Five Heroes."

5. Tellius (FE9/FE10):

Creation: "According to the creation myths of Tellius, Ashunera emerged from an endless and barren ocean and created the first landmasses, plant and animal life. Despite her initial excitement at what she had created, she soon grew lonely as none of her creations were anything like her, but after a millennium of this loneliness, the creatures of this primitive world evolved into the Zunanma and began to grow close to her.
The Zunanma took to worshipping Ashunera as their goddess, dubbing her the "Goddess of Dawn", but as their evolution continued and diverged, conflict and war constantly erupted among them. Ashunera made many attempts to stop the fighting, including separating them into the distinct laguz and beorc species, but none of these worked." Because they're all racist assholes, but mostly the beorc because they're plain ol' humans.

"Her outrage, grief and desperation to stop the war led to her losing control of her immense powers and unleashing the Great Flood on the world, killing countless people and submerging, as far as anybody knows, every landmass in the world except Tellius itself. On the advice of Lehran and others (though they would later regret it), Ashunera cast away her emotions entirely out of a desire to prevent such a thing from ever happening again; she turned into the order goddess Ashera, while her emotions became the chaos goddess Yune.

Consenting to her counsel's request to spare Yune, Ashera agreed to a covenent with the people of Tellius, where she and Yune would sleep for a thousand years and, should the people of Tellius conduct themselves without a war for that time, they would reunite into Ashunera.

In the years since the goddesses' descent into sleep, Ashunera herself faded from Tellius mythology while her Ashera form effectively replaced her in myths as the creator and guardian goddess of Tellius. Similarly, her Yune half was branded a "dark god" and credited solely with causing the Great Flood, thanks to the efforts of Dheginsea deliberately twisting the legends in order to convince people to not engage in war. Both laguz and beorc societies ended up developing completely different versions of the creation myths of Tellius, all of which obscured elements of its truth.

The covenant with Ashera lasted only 780 years before the goddesses were awakened." This is because King Ashnard of Daein orchestrated a shit ton of violence in order to achieve this end, and this violence continued after his death. There was also the Serenes Massacre, where the heron laguz were all but wiped out by Begnion, but this happened before Ashnard's rise to power.
"Ashera proceeded to cast her judgement upon Tellius and petrify all of its people, but was stopped by beorc and laguz heroes led by Ike and Micaiah under Yune's guidance.

Around 1200 years after her split, Ashera and Yune reunited to form Ashunera once more. When she returned to Tellius she was greeted by Lehran, who warned her of the collapse of the peace built after Ashera's defeat, but Ashunera was resolved to protect the world and its people where she had failed last time."

Again, note the two races- beorc and laguz. Beorc are typical humans; laguz are humanoids with bestial features who can turn into full beast forms. Laguz come in lion, tiger, cat, wolf, hawk, raven (?), heron, and dragon flavors. All very tasty and Goldoa will not move.

Crimea: A beorc kingdom that is home to the Greil Mercenaries. At the start of the game, it is invaded by Daein. It was ruled by King Ramon until his death at the hands of King Ashnard. He is succeeded by his daughter, Elincia.

Daein: A beorc kingdom that had become antagonistic ever since King Ashnard ascended the throne.

Begnion: A beorc theocracy worshiping the goddess Ashera. Its figurehead is Apostle Sanaki.

Gallia: Home to the beast laguz, it recently improved relations with Crimea. Its ruler is King Caineghis.

Phoenicis: Home to the hawk laguz, its ruler is King Tibarn.

Kilvas: Home to the raven laguz, who are considered more cunning and dishonorable than the Hawks. Foreigners are not welcome unless they pay well. Its ruler is King Naesala.

Goldoa: Home of the dragon laguz, it isolates itself from the rest of Tellius. Its ruler is Dheginsea.

Serenes Forest: A forest located in northwestern Begnion, home to the heron laguz. However, it was burnt down 20 years before the events of Path of Radiance and the herons were wiped out, save for its king Lorazieh, Prince Reyson and Rafiel, Princess Leanne and Lillia."

7. Ylisse/Valm (FE13):

Ylisse and Valm's ancient lore is shared with Archanea and Valentia respectively.

Following that: "An unspecified time after Marth's reign, the United Kingdom broke up again into several smaller nations. Roughly a thousand years after the War of Heroes, a hero descended from Marth put a stop to the rise of the Fell Dragon Grima (never forgetti that Grima is bug and blood spaghetti) using Falchion and the Binding Shield (now again called the Fire Emblem), he founded a successor nation known as Ylisse. Afterward, in an unknown event dubbed the Schism, the Fire Emblem was broken for a second time, and four of its gemstones were lost and spread among the nations of both Archanea and neighboring Valm."
"Following Alm's death, his successor renamed Valentia to "Valm", in honor of Alm's legacy. At some point the kingdom collapsed and the continent split once again into multiple nations, with the Valmese Empire itself now comprising a miniscule and forgettable nation, but it was reformed back into a continent-spanning powerhouse millennia later by Walhart the Conqueror."

Left is Valm, right's Ylisse, just like you'd expect from Valentia and Archanea.
Continent of Ylisse-

Ylisse: "Ylisse is led by its ruler, the Exalt. The first Exalt defeated the Fell Dragon thanks to the aid of the Holy Dragon, Naga. All Exalts since then have been descendants of this man and bear the Brand of the Exalt (also called the Mark of Naga) on their bodies, a symbol of the pact between Naga and the first Exalt. The citizens of Ylisse worship Naga as their god, and because of their disdain for fighting, only a minimal amount of soldiers defend the country. However, Ylisse does have an army of its own, mostly comprising Cavaliers, Mages, Clerics, Priests, and Pegasus Knights. The knighthood in particular consists of highborn males." Capital is Ylisstol.

"The descendant of the United Kingdom of Archanea formed by King Marth, Ylisse is made up of the territories belonging to the former countries of Archanea, Talys, and Pyrathi."

Plegia: A nation to the west of Ylisse. "Plegia is ruled by their king, Gangrel, but his power affects only some of the nation. The other portion is ruled by a religious sect, the Grimleal, a cult that worships the Fell Dragon. Despite being a theocracy, only a minority of citizens worship Grima, although everyone, even the rulers such as Gangrel, are forced to pay lip service to the Grimleal. Despite its desert landscape, Plegia has a bountiful navy and a large treasury, which Chrom borrowed from after the defeat of Gangrel. The Plegian army is mostly comprised of Barbarians, Dark Mages, Wyvern Riders, Myrmidons and Thieves.
Plegia controls the territory held by these former countries: Dolhr, Macedon, Altea, Gra, and Grust."
Regna Ferox: "Located north of the Halidom of Ylisse. Unlike the peace-loving Ylisse, Ferox is a militant nation that values strength over all things although they are still firm allies of Ylisse. Unlike Ferox's religious neighboring countries, Ferox does not worship any sort of deity. Ferox tends to look down on formalities and diplomacy, valuing physical strength and skill above all else. To Ferox, physical prowess speaks louder than words.

Founded by barbarians and relatively poor agriculturally, it is ruled by two Khans, though only one Khan has true power at any given time. "Ferox's army comprises of mostly physical units. Generally these are Mercenaries, Fighters, Barbarians, and Knights. Some of Ferox's territory encompasses the former Akaneia nations: Aurelis and Khadein."

Continent of Valm-

Chon'sin: "Chon'sin was a small nation in Valm ruled by a dynast, Yen'fay, prior to being conquered. The Chon'sinese army was then wholly integrated into the larger Valmese Imperial Army, with Yen'fay as the head of his "division"."

Rosanne: "Rosanne was a small dukedom in Valm headed by House Virion. It was among the first to fall to Walhart and fell quickly. As a result, its citizens were conscripted into Walhart's army."

Valm: "Valm was a very small country that was remembered only because the continent shared the name. Its ruler became Walhart, the Conqueror, who then unified the continent for the purpose of destroying Grima. Most of its citizens worship the Divine Dragons and revere Tiki as "The Voice of the Divine Dragon". There also appear to be criminals who worship Grima and commit violent acts such as the ritual sacrifice of innocent people in the name of their god."

8. Fates-land (FE14):

Lore? What lore? Fates doesn't know what worldbuilding is.

I kid, mostly.

"Thousands of years ago, a great war between the First Dragons took place, causing great destruction. One dragon, Anankos, decided to involve humans into the war by forging legendary weapons to end the war. While successful, this unfortunately introduced war to the humans.

Anankos was formerly a kind dragon who gave wisdom to humanity, but his growing power and inability to ascend to the spirit realm with the world's other dragons began corrupting him. After he killed Valla's king in an uncontrolled fit of bestial rage, he finally went mad: his remaining sanity and kindness took temporary shelter in a human form and fathered Corrin before dying, while his dragon self began an insane crusade to destroy humanity.

In the present, Fates is primarily set on an unnamed continent in the territories of the kingdoms of Hoshido and Nohr. Their royalty share a similar line of descent from ancient dragons, but each kingdom worships different dragon deities, the Dawn Dragon and Dusk Dragon respectively. A third central location is the hidden kingdom of Valla, a place only accessible through the Bottomless Canyon which separates Hoshido and Nohr. Once ruled by humans, it is now ruled by the dragon Anankos, who has usurped the throne of Valla and is intentionally provoking war between the two kingdoms."

Places to go:

The world map of Fates is ass so I'll just list the available kingdoms.

Nohr: "The Kingdom of Nohr was founded by the humans loyal to the Dusk Dragon, who granted them land and its blood so they could harness the Dragon's Vein and land to build their country. Its capital is the city of Windmire, with the royal residence of Castle Krakenburg at its heart. Nohr is located west of Hoshido and the Bottomless Canyon, and north of Nestra. At least two tribes, the Ice Tribe and the Wolfskin, make their homes within Nohrian territory. Wyverns can only be found in Nohr.

In contrast to the lush, sunny lands of Hoshido, Nohr suffers from unusually poor weather conditions. Contrary to popular belief, the sun does occasionally shine over Nohr, but most of the time the skies are deeply overcast and stormy. The lack of sunlight fosters a tundra-like climate where only the hardiest plants can grow, resulting in continually poor crop yields and frequent food shortages. Law and order have also steadily eroded over the years despite the iron grip of the glory-seeking Nohrian monarchs. Consequently, most Nohrians remain indoors or underground."

Hoshido: "The Kingdom of Hoshido was founded by humans loyal to the Dawn Dragon, who granted them land and its blood so they could harness the Dragon's Vein. The Hoshidan capital encircles Castle Shirasagi, home of the royal family. Hoshido is located east of Nohr and the Bottomless Canyon, and north of Izumo and Mokushu. At least two tribes, the Wind Tribe and the Kitsune, make their homes within Hoshidan territory. Pegasi and Kinshi can only be found in Hoshido.

In contrast to the barren, blighted lands of Nohr, Hoshido benefits from fair, sunny weather, resulting in plentiful food supplies, to the point where there is more than enough to feed the the combined populations of both Hoshido and Nohr. This bounty means almost no one in Hoshido wants for anything, and crime is rare. The Hoshidan monarchs rule fairly and justly, and are loved by their people."

Cheve: "A country south of Nohr, a short distance northwest of the country of Nestra. It is famed for its highly-skilled knights, and its people uniquely hold the belief that their dead become new stars in the sky."
Valla (by way of Bottomless Canyon)- "a nation hidden beneath the Bottomless Canyon, when it was founded by the Silent Dragon Anankos and the first Vallite King Cadros, completely undisturbed and with little interaction with the world with only the royal families, specifically the kings and queens of Hoshido and Nohr, knowing of its existence. The pathway to Valla beneath the Bottomless Canyon opens and closes every few decades, coinciding with the skies changing above Nohr and Hoshido. The royal castle of Valla is called Gyges.

The kingdom boasts strange geography, as the land and sky itself seems to be rend in pieces, and floats about seemingly at random. It is unknown if the kingdom was like this prior or after Anankos took over Valla. Anankos also placed a powerful curse upon the kingdom, causing anyone who attempted to reveal the existence of Valla outside of its borders to dissolve into water and disappear. As a result, its existence is known only to a small handful of people. The age of this curse is unspecified, but there seems to be no written or historical knowledge of the kingdom outside of it, so presumably the curse created after Anankos' destruction of Valla and that the curse was broken upon Anankos's death."
