"So what are we waiting for?" Mika asked the group. "Let's get a move on!" Racing down the hill the group found themselves moving along a flat grass land. Compared to jungle this place seemed awfully calm with not much action, until! Something was rustling inside the grass and soon leaped out to face them!

Don-chan proceeds to bang drumsticks on his head in delight in an attempt to befriend the friendly-looking slime, dancing to his own beat as he approached the blue beast.

His song was a song of happiness and merry.

Kirby

Kirby would produce a heart and try to throw it at the thing. Maybe the slime wanted to be his friend and he was sure that Don's gift of song would help in the befriending process.

If the banging of the drums of merriment hadn't done it Kirby shoving a heart at the creature seemed to do the trick as it skipped around happily.

Slime friend achieved! "Aww! It's actually kind of cute...in a weird sort of way."

Kirby

Kirby was really happy that he had made a friend with the slime creature. " Friend," Kirby would put his sword down for a minute and would walk over and place his green cap on the slime's head. " Know it friend and not enemy." Kirby would repack up his sword.

The Slime still had its smile and the thousand yard stare that made it hard to figure out what it was actually thinking. Or if it was thinking at all. With what could have been assumed to have had the potential of being a threat the path seemed open again for the group to head towards that mountain before them.

Aw, cute. Too cute. So cute that is was incredibly stupid. Goroh stared at the pink and blue blobs interact, utterly dumbfounded, but ultimately just grunted and pressed on. "We can dance and play AFTER we take back those emeralds," he said. "We can even wish ourselves up a huge dance party! Ha ha ha!"

...okay that actually did sound kind of cool.

Chapter 2 - Echoes from Spiral Mountain

”If you wish.” Shelke turned to the pink blob that was speaking to them before she addressed the rest of the group. “Thank you, I know you didn’t have to do this, but the jungle will be much safer now.”

King Hippo clapped his boxing gloves together while Donkey Kong proceeded to give hearty slaps and thumbs up for the entire group followed by Mika who seemed to be running victory laps. “YEAH! YEAH! We did it! We’re awesome!”

Shelke seemingly ignoring the wrestlers rambunctious nature turned towards Ayane. “Where are you heading?”

The beeping on the kunoichi’s arm indicated that they weren’t far off and after a short trek into a desolate area devoid of both flora and fauna they could spot the familiar green pipe in the distance. “Right in the middle of the Deviljho’s lair…” Shelke mused aloud as they made their way closer to the pipe. “This is where our paths diverge,” The young woman replied to the group. “I wish you luck in your mission.”

“Well…” Mika looked around the group. “You could come with us. We’d be happy to have you!”

“I appreciate the offer,” Shelke replied curtly. Realizing she had sounded rude she continued. “But right now I am here where I need to be. The animals of the forest as well as the humans now calling it home needs my help.”

Mika didn’t decide to push it and instead just gave her a nod and a grin before she went to the pipe. “This time I’m going to do this right.” Feet first she quickly vanished into the pipe and once again the heard was thinned before the only one left at the Deviljho’s lair was Shelke, DK and King Hippo.

The familiar darkness surrounded you as you sped through the pipe before long the light came in your face and you emerged outside. The group seemed to find themselves on a grassy hill overlooking the area in front of them. Two of their travelling companions would be intimately familiar with their current location.

Joanna walked out from the pipe, having gotten knocked unconcious in the previous world. Now that she had been back with her allies, she loaded her Falcon 2's and moved forwards, scanning the area for any hostile enemies.

"Sorry for getting lost, you guys. I'm back now. Let's see what this place has in store for us."

"Dance party?!" Mika thought about that for awhile before nodding. "That would be pretty cool actually!"

Don-chan picked the recently-capped slime up and placed it on his head.

"Do you like it da~ don~? Well, we're moving forward to adventure da~ don!"

@Jeremi @Lucky @Yun Lee

Again the Slime didn't seem to react one way or another and continued bopping up and down on Don-chan's head.

As the group continued travelling they saw more trees and yellow flowerbeds as well as farm land with vegetables growing on some patches. That would imply that there was people leaving here, or at least beings capable of planting vegetables.

Coming closer to the moat housing the massive mountain in the center of it. They found a path leading upwards but at the other side of the mountain they saw something else as well.

It seemed to be a house, but it had clearly seen better days. Despite how it looked you could've sworn that there was movement inside of the little hut. The group could go and inspect it or decide to continue up along the path where the device seemed to be leading them.

Joanna aimed one of her Falcons at the house, eyeing the moving shadows inside. the house was clearly abandoned. Whatever was running around inside probably wasn't friendly.

"This would make for a nice resting area. Shall we see if anyone's home?"

"Likely to be infested with something troublesome," Makoto muttered before looking to Mika, Hector, Goroh, and Ayane with her arms crossed, "What do you guys think? Think we've got time to rest, even if it might lead into a fight?"

"Ever heard of the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears? Let's not get too rash here," Akihiko simply said at the prospect of resting at someone else's home. At least, the young man figured someone lived here, judging from the word on the door; Banjo. Whether it was someone's name or simply a word to indicate something, either way it could only mean that it was in use from someone, and they were definitely home judging from the movement that Akihiko could see from the window.

"Dunno how many of us this little place can even fit, but if someone does live around here regardless, it'd be good if we got some pointers if nothing else," he said. Seeing that the others seemed unsure of what to do, Akihiko decided to make the move on his own, stepping forward and knocking on the door to see if anyone would answer.

Goroh had already mosied on up to the door. "Well, Goldilocks got a hot and a cot outta the bears' house, so who knows? Maybe we'll get somethin' good too!" After that monster they fought, he was more than open to the idea of a break. He didn't expect much from a rundown shack like this, but hey. Beggars can't be choosers.

Mika nodded. "Yeah why not? We haven't eaten anything in awhile maybe there's some grub inside?" With confident steps Mika and the others headed towards the little house. At first she just tried to open the door but despite looking as desolate it was firmly locked. Instead Mika turned to knocking quite heavily on the door. "Hi! Anyone home?"

The group could hear some rustling and something falling to the ground on the other side of the door. "N-No one's home!" Boomed a distinctively male voice from the other side of the door. "Better luck next time!"

Mika just turned to the group behind her with a 'can you believe this guy?' motion at the door. "We know someone's in there! Come on! Open up! We're not going to hurt you!"

Person on the other side having perhaps realized his blunder would not reply. "Seriously?" The door despite the lock looked flimsy enough just to break open unless someone wanted to try some diplomacy.

Makoto couldn't help but groan as Mika stomped her way up to the door, wincing at the bad first impression she made for their entire group. Why would he open up simply because they demanded such and only promised to not harm him afterwards? That was not the way of the intelligent, and while whoever was within was dumb to reveal he was there, it seemed he had the good sense to not open up right away.

Though of course, that put them in a bad spot, one that would be difficult to overcome without proof of their intentions.

"Let me try," She piped up while stepping up to the door next to Mika, taking a moment to collect her breath before knocking upon the door. Better to say her piece in one go, rather than stop and go between her ideas. "Apologies for troubling you, but there is no need to fear us, stranger. I am Makoto Kato, master of Rindo-kan Karate and its dojo as my father before me, and my companions and I are travelers upon the path to our ultimate destination, one that happened to bring us by your home. We only ask that we be allowed to rest here before leaving you in peace, and if need be, we will accept a reasonable request of yours to prove our honorable intentions."

With her words said, the tomboy leaned slightly to the side, eyes attempting to peak through the window panes that weren't fully boarded up. Perhaps the man might speak more if he saw they were humans, rather than the monsters that troubled the land?

Makoto saw a rather large silhouette through the window that quickly vanished from view when they heard the voice again. "Like I said! There's no one home! Really bad luck fellas, yeah." Mika gave a look at Makoto.

"Can I just like...bash the door down now?"

"Yes, because breaking and entering will make them all the more willing to let us in."

If the sarcastic tone that Makoto used didn't make clear her feelings on that matter, maybe the blonde would understand them better through the deadpanning expression the martial artist shot her way.

"Yeah, yeah." Clearly Mika understood her meaning but it didn't make her any less frustrated. "But the guy's clearly not opening the door and if we break the door he doesn't have to let us in because we'll already be in. Besides we have that other mission too remember? If we want in we got to get in now." A sound argument if there ever was one, at least in Mika's mind. Even the Slime on top of Don-chan dance in agreement, or maybe it was a Slime and it just did that from time to time.
