OZ Forest of Gugu

A large boom echoed out into the clearing as the trunk of a tree is sent careening out of the shadows of the forest, crashing into and crushing any demons in its path as it rolls to a stop merely a metre from Este. Emerging from the forest Tom and Aurelius appear, the former seemingly split into three, with each copy acting as a whirlwind of fury, slowly pushing forward as the latter flicks blood off of his blade, quickly turning to reduce a duo of demons that had been trying to get the drop on them to mincemeat.

Internally, Tom was pretty disgruntled. He didn't like this, nor did he know why he even came back. Pretty sure that those two could handle this by themselves. Maybe he was worried about the new girl, she seemed pretty low level and that fancy trick of hers most likely didn't affect more than one opponent at a time. Having been able to technically 'fall asleep' (Read: Drug himself into oblivion then instantly have Aurelius wake him up) he had been able to regain enough mana to activate Multiply, which had greatly aided their speed in returning. Noticing the new chick and those two all three versions of him call out, their voices overlapping. "We need a plan! There doesn't seem to be any sort of end!"

Aurelius cut through the thick shrubbery with grace, a sharp line through the forest that could only be achieved by a sharp weapon master. The animated marks and hits made by the sword only appearing for a fraction of a second before disappearing and re-appearing in a different position. Their attacks didn't do much damage, but it was enough to keep the demons at bay.

Their pace quickened, as they spotted the two high-level PCs from before and the gambler girl. Flipping above the group, Aurelius quickly sweeped the surrounding area of monsters; pushing them towards the dense foliage that crowded them.

Sheathing their sword, they opened their inventory and grabbed a healing potion. Drinking it with haste, they stared at the others.

Forming words out of thin air, they looked towards where the mysterious hologram had been.

"He only said to survive. This could be many things; a test of stamina, which will mean that after a certain period of time the monsters will disappear; a test of power, which will mean that there's a limited amount of monsters; a test of direction, which means we have to get out of this area or a test of efficiency, which means we'll have to kill a set number of monsters under a period of time."

They then turned towards the group, a nonchalant look placed on their face.

"However, I doubt any of you know of a way to test that."

Rolling their eyes at the announcement, they sighed.

"What horrible player acknowledgement. They don't even tell us the specifics of any of this."

Eloise - Forest of Gugu

"Well, since we're gonna be here for a while, shouldn't we just enjoy the moment?" she asked good naturedly, with an awkward smile, as she swung her naginata to decapitate a nearby monster. Enjoy. It was probably a foreign concept for people who hated being trapped here, but that was how she managed to get by in these kinds of situation. After all, Oz is a game. The developers seem to have created this world in that mindset.

Eloise ran, moving swiftly from monster to monster like a true weapons master, shifting between weapons over on over, sometimes even in the most unconventional moments. There were even times when she shifted herself into a cat to evade an attack. However, she also had her limits. She could feel her breath getting labored already. Climbing up the nearest tree, she looked over at how big the horde still is and paled just a little bit, laughing nervously. "Hey, hey, you've got to be kidding me." she muttered, as she opened a potion and drank.

Este chucked as she continued to chop down enemies, listening to Aurelis' words. "Come now, you know as well as I do it's none of those things you mentioned. If you still see it as a test then see it as a test for your life. That's what he meant by survive. " Este seemed to grow angrier as she spoke, even though her voice remained calm. Turning from the others, she shot a large fireball at the demons; setting some of the trees around on fire. "So yeah, forest fire is happening. Smoke em out, more players will probably see them and help out with fighting if they aren't little bitches."

The Steel Lion - Forest of Gugu

The addition of the two players they'd met previously was welcome, as his form had soaked in quite a bit of damage by charging into the horde. Though many of the monsters lay dead at his feet, he found himself downing a health potion so that he could keep going at maximum efficiency. He moved back to serve as a shield to protect Este and the others. "Smoke them out, yes. But also retreat to nearest city. That'll increase chances of players seeing and helping us. Tom, Help me tank while the others attack from distance. We'll retreat while doing as much damage as we can."
