Biography: The Desrochers family was always amongst those of the Chicago Bunker. It was there when it was initially built into what it is today and it is said that they would never leave the place. It was their home and none could take that away from them, even the raiders that attacked their walls. They have always been involved with the machine shops, since they are known to be very good in the handling, understand and repairs of helicopters. It says they were a family that liked to tinker before these times, and it remains so to this day. Not very reserved; they were typically open for folks to come along and ask for help or equipment for the purpose of defending their community, most notably the Old Guard.

Amongst this family was a member of the second youngest generation; Gabriel. He was a rather smart boy at his time, having been put tools in his hands from a young age. His father and mother, along with other family members, had taught him everything he knows to this day, safe for the bit of computer hacking skills he’s acquired as a side to his skills. He became, with the years, a very skilled helicopter pilot and the co-developer of a new A.I. system capable of recognizing and targeting individuals without the aid of a gunner and with an automated shooting system for guns on vehicles. It was, to this day, one of their greatest accomplishments and they are still further improving the system.

However, even if they held a certain praise by the people, Gabriel wasn’t well liked by a few individuals, simply because of an incident that happened about two years ago regarding a party going against raiders. Though the details have not been spread to the populace; something cost the lives of some members of the party, and it was said it was Gabriel who took them. The man has defended himself in saying it was necessary, while others who were there that day said there were other options. Though, this did not hinder the fact that he was a capable fighter in a helicopter.

    Mutagens in DNA?: No

    Mutagens Active?: No

    Technical

    Grunt: 2
    • The Desrochers’ Flight Armor (1 point): This armor was especially designed for the Desrochers family members when they went off to either fight or just take a Helicopter out for training or anything the likes. New patterns and materials are used to help not only against gunshots, but also against the shockwave of a blast and shrapnel. (Better protection vs Blasts and Shrapnel)
    • Close Quarter Gunfight (1 point): Sometimes, you’ll be caught outside of your helicopter; it’s a fact. So, the Desrocher are trained to use weapons in a closer, tighter space as, like their own cockpit, simply to give them time to find cover or get out. (Better reaction time and ease in tighter combat spaces with firearms)

    Grunt Equipment
    • Primary Weapon: Bullpup assault rifle with 30 round magazine of 5.56mm bullets. Equipped with a simple iron sight.
    • Secondary Weapon: Semi-automatic .45 ACP handgun with a 12 round magazine.
    • Personal Armour: Gabriel is outfitted with a unique Medium Class Armour made from his own family’s hard work. While it offers the same bullet resistant material as a medium armor would do, the design and materials used to making this armor almost help absorb and spread the shockwave of a blast and the high-speed projectiles of large or small size shrapnel.
    • Additional Gear: None

    Instinct
    • N/A

    Listener: 0

    Pilot: 10
    • It Runs in the Family (1 point): This is the basis of the Desrochers family. All family members associated with the Desrochers Workshop are taught the basis of helicopter mechanics, how to fly them, repair them and keep well maintained. (Common knowledge of repairs, maintenance and piloting of Helicopters)
    • Evasive Maneuvers (2 points): Gabriel has spent a lot of time being the pilot of helicopters. Since the weaponry in typically ran by itself with their own sophisticated AI System, Gabriel has put some time and effort in maneuvers to evade incoming missiles and fire. He relies on his AI system to do the firing and relies on his own skill and systems to aid him avoid what he can. (Improved maneuvering/piloting of helicopters to evade or outmaneuver incoming attacks)
    • Hacker – Saboteur Style (1 point): Since being in a helicopter is not always possible, Gabriel has studied into the art of hacking. Specifically, he more or so sought out to learn how to mess with Radios/AI at a short distance. Most of the time, it is only short duration interruptions or alterations to the Radio signals or AIs. (Capable of short range disruptions of computerized items or radios.)
    • Primary Weapon Upgrade – 30mm Armor Piercing (2 point): The Desrochers family have been slowly working to building a potent armor penetrating round. They are at a more simple stage in AP ammo, but they are slowly evolving it. (Advanced Armor Piercing Ammo for the 2A42 Autocannon)
    • Additional Primary Weapons – 2 M134 Miniguns (1 point): As an added destructive power to the helicopter Gabriel rides around with. These two miniguns are used as suppressive fire and anti-infantry weaponry. (Adds 2 M134 Miniguns to the Helicopter)
    • Missile Pod Upgrade – Bunker Busters (1 point): These missiles are a specially designed explosives which the Desrochers hold dearly to their name. They are capable of piercing concrete and armor plating with ease, which adds to the destructive nature of a Desrochers Rapid Support Helicopters. (Bunker Buster missiles can replace standard missiles)
    • Advanced Targeting System – ATS-2C (2 points): The ATS-2C has been a long-going project of Gabriel, his father and one of his uncles. They have worked to install a more sophisticated system that allows a better recognition system, an even a more independent firing system and an ammunition changer for the weapons it was under. (Upgrades recognition system, “Hostile” mode, which is an automatic fire mode against non-registered individuals, and an ammo changer, which allows the Auto-cannon to switch between Armor Piercing and High Explosives on the fly.)

Vehicle (Only relevant if you have spent three or more points on Pilot Skills to earn a vehicle.)
    • Vehicle Type: Helicopter
    • Armour Type: Medium
    • Primary Weapon: 2A42 30mm Autocannon + 2 M203 Miniguns
    • Secondary Armament: 2 pods of 8 Bunker Buster Missiles
    • AI Package: The ATS-2C (Works as a normal AI System, except for the following: The facial, body and vehicle recognition software and hardware is upgraded, “Hostile” mode is installed and an ammo changer is installed and works with the recognition software to change its ammo depending on the target it has to hit.)
    • Unique Modifications: None that weren’t listed above.

Distrusted. ("You could not possibly understand the glory that we bring, Child of Sodom.")

Requisitions (Requisitions are based on your relationships with NPC's in various factions. It's what a faction proverbially "owes" you for your services. New characters start with nothing in this regard and can thus ignore this. Old Characters can use these relationships with factions at any point in the story to ask for information or aid. How much the NPC interacting with you likes or dislikes you, or how much a faction trusts you, helps to determine how likely a requisition request is to succeed. This can range from learning faction secrets, to obtaining new traits for your character, to asking for help in a mission. Be warned: If you abuse the help from a relationship too much, it will evaporate away from you.)
    • (Brovo will assign these to you based on your previous interactions.)
