Lucas Lacroix was born to Bernard and Margaux Lacroix, along with his two younger brothers Jaime and Aubert. As the oldest, it was always his responsibility to try to protect his siblings, even though they hardly needed it. Jaime, as the second son of the three, promptly joined the Monastery.
He eventually met his wife Karine, and had three kids with her: Raphael, Camille and Lucille. Raphael grew up to be much too arrogant and dim-witted to be a good heir, and Lucille aloped with a foreign boy (he forgives her, but still wishes she would at least write home), so that left Camille. Camille gladly sent him to the Monastery academy, thanks to their superior academics and decent swordsmanship training. He believed the Lacroix fencing academy was far superior, however, so he still trained the boy himself.
When Camille was about 10 years old, Lucas' kind demeanor for the church was completely overturned. Jaime, a paladin for the church now, was sent on a bust, illegal magic and necromancy. Jaime and his fellow paladins were not warned of the kind of threat they were getting in to, and were almost immediately overwhelmed by the raw magical strength of their foes. The deaths were rather preventable, but Jaime was ordered to what turned out to be a suicide mission, intentionally or not.
Lucas was inconsolably furious at the church for killing his brother, as he believed that this was intentional neglect and that the superior knew full well what was going to happen. He immediately tried to get Camille to drop out, to come home, but Camille refused, as he wasn't told the details of Jaime's death and assumed he died a martyr. Camille insisted to stay and at least finish the training. To Lucas, the church took his brother from him, and he thought his beloved son was travelling down the same path.
His hatred for the church has been at a boil for the past 8 years, ready to blow at any further wronging (perceived or real) from the church.
Lucas is serious, stern and prideful when around anybody outside the family. He is kind, loving, playful and youthful with his family and closest friends, however, leaving one to wonder which half of his psyche is the real Lucas, if not both. When truly angry he is vengeful and persistent, he will make things 'right', even at great cost to himself. He is very wealthy, after all.

She has fair skin (but not as pale as her son), and her eyes are an emerald green. Her skin has started to wrinkle slightly, but she has not yet lost the beauty from her youth.

Karine and Lucas were in the same class at the Lacroix Fencing Academy, and that was how they met. A playful rivalry gradually evolved into a romantic pairing, and they've been together ever since.
Personality
Karine is caring and optimistic, and always strives to see the best of everyone. This provides an excellent foil to Lucas' stern and sometimes vengeful tendencies.
Hobbies and Talents
Karine is quite the skilled fencer, but she still pales in comparison to her husband. Additionally, while her skills and knowledge are refined, Karine is past her prime and is losing the youthful vigor she previously had. She still duels with friends and guests for entertainment and sport, but she could not duel to wound or kill someone as effectively as other members of the family.
She dabbles in tailoring, and her beloved son Camille is often willing to act as a model for his mother's designs. Karine has become somewhat good at it thanks to persistent practice and receiving lessons from other tailors. She is not the next legendary brand-name, but her work is quite nice.

Lucille Lacroix closely resembles her mother Karine, with the same pale complexion, dark navy-blue hair soft jawline and thin build. Curiously, she seems to be more attractive than her mother was at that age (Karine insists that this is true, whether Lucille believes her or not is a different matter).
History
Lucille was the second child to Lucas Francis Lacroix and Karine Ginette Lacroix, two wealthy Lutetian nobility. When she was 5, her baby brother Camille was born. Little Camille adored her big sister, and she quickly became a role model for the boy. Whatever Lucille did, Camille wanted to help, and she didn't mind having her #1 fan following her around all the time. When she eventually became old enough to go to the Monastery, Camille begged and begged his parents to go with her. She embraced the idea, and the inseparable siblings spent much of their time together. Lucille's friends thought her little brother was adorable and brought him along everywhere. Only hanging out with a bunch of older girls eventually led Camille to be subject to ridicule from his peers, which is when Lucille had to put her foot down. Several incidents sprung up over time, and word got around quickly. Upon questioning after one particularly rough encounter, one of the boys mentioned that she would "finish the job" if she ever saw them near his brother again.
Lucille was expelled almost immediately, but the bullying largely stopped for her little brother. The Lacroix family, after greasing a palm or two, eventually were able to send her to a local public school so she would at least be educated. Rumors about the incident in the monastery followed her there, ranging anywhere from "she yelled at them" to "she killed someone" based on who was telling the story. A few more incidents here and there followed at the school, but nothing nearly as serious as when someone tried to hurt her brother.
Right after she graduated from a Lutetia City public school, she started seeing a foreign boy. She was infatuated with his boldness and strength, someone that could actually handle the fiery Lucille. She eventually moved out with her new boyfriend to where he was from, a small island named Isla dela Fortunae.
When she arrived, she was surprised to find out what he really was. When they arrived at the harbor, there were armed guards and a limousine that drove the two of them to his villa. Lucille knew he was wealthy, but only now did he put it together: he was a drug kingpin. She had reservations at first with the idea, but she eventually embraced the idea. Her fearlessness was fitting: she was no trophy wife, she quickly made a name for herself on Fortunae, as someone who never backs down from a fight.
After a ‘freak accident’ that left her husband Pablo with a bullet in the brain, Luci has taken over the cartel, rebranded them, and brought them back to her home country.

While Lucille looks like her mother, she is a polar opposite in many aspects of her personality. Where Karine is calm, inviting and and friendly to all, Lucille is hot-headed, combatant, and fierce. She isn't inherently rude to others, but she has zero tolerance for even the slightest of grievances. Camille learned much of his ferocity from his big sister, who stood up to his bullies with him.

Jasmin is just under 6 feet tall, with brilliant golden-orange hair that stays at chin level except for two longer locks that fall just beyond his collarbone. He has a narrow and pale face, with heterochromic eyes (the left one is green, the right one blue). His figure is ever so slightly feminine, a lithe frame with very gentle curves.
He tends to wear a tailored beige coat, whose tail is cut into thin strips. Various belts and straps can be fastened, tightened or undone depending on how tight he wants it to be, as well as buttons down the middle. He wears either form-fitting jeans or black slacks to go with the coat, and black boots underneath them. He also wears fingerless gloves with intricate white embroidery on the backs of the hands.
History
When Jasmin Lambert was born in the hospital, he was assumed female from the lack of male genitalia, hence his original birth name was "Jasmine". Several health complications later, it was quickly discovered that their baby girl was, in fact, the opposite sex. His name was officially changed to "Jasmin"-the masculine form of his former name- and was subsequently raised as a boy.
Of course, once rumors spread about the already unusual-looking Jasmin, he was subject to bullying by his male peers. Yet, instead of holding him down, this ridicule drove him to work harder and succeed more than his bullies ever would. As he became a teenager he showed interest in law enforcement, to help right the wrongs of the world.
Then, one day, his older sister Diane was kidnapped. Stricken by grief but plagued with the reality that he can still do something to save her, he pushed himself even harder to join the police academy immediately after high school, to fulfill his career dream and to get his sister back. As he got older, especially upon joining the force, the ridicule faded and eventually disappeared. No longer was he a freak or a mutant or a loser, he was an LPD officer. Over the next ten years, Jasmin rose through the ranks until becoming a detective for the Lutetian Police. While still young, his ten years of experience has brought him a moderate level of respect from his peers and superiors.
Personality
Jasmin takes his work seriously, but is no stranger to compassion. He was a bit of a societal reject when he was younger, so he empathizes with those that aren't deemed "perfect" by the world. Due to his goals and the incident with his sister, he takes a very harsh stance on corruption and kidnappers respectively.
Arsenal and Combat
His more notable possessions include:
- An extendable steel baton, used as a nightstick
- A few pairs of handcuffs
- Multiple notepads and pens
- A radio
- A standard issue 9mm pistol given by the LPD, and several clips of ammunition
- An extremely powerful (and rather heavy) .50 caliber revolver, it fires 5 12.7mm bullets before needing to be reloaded.
- Brass Knuckles
- An extra badge, the one he actually will show people. The other one is kept at home in case his is stolen.
- A camera
- A basic forensic kit, including plastic bags, tweezers, bindles, gloves and liquid collection vials
- A custom flute. A curio he picked up during an old case, as it was built to be held backwards compared to a more regular instrument. He taught himself to play it, but mostly values it due to its oddity.
He was trained in basic martial arts, enough so to defend himself against nearly any combatant isn't very highly trained or of supernatural ability.
