Hand of Power

Bartholomew

Searchers after horror haunt strange, far places.
A mysterious stranger walks up to you and hands you three cards. Each of these cards has a different symbol: shield, eye and hand. The stranger proceeds to explain the symbols on the cards resemble a different power you will be granted. The shield will grant you invulnerability to any physical damage whether it be a leap from a tall tower or a rocket to the face; the eye is the ability to see into the future no matter how far and the hand will allow you to heal any wound no matter how fatal.

With that being said, there comes a price from choosing one of these cards. The shield will grant you invulnerability, yes, but you will be stricken with a fatal cancer no one can cure. There's no telling when it will kill you, only that when it does, you will die a painful and agonizing death. The eye will force you to go blind and you will eventually only be able to see others die, rather than if Timothy gets that dream job or not. The hand gives you the almighty power to heal, but for every wound you heal the more life you shave off from yourself. The healing power is your essence and the more you use, the less of a life you will have to live. To top it all off, you cannot heal someone else who has taken a card. For example: if one chooses a shield and their tike has come to suffer their fate, you would be unable to save them and those who chose the eye would be unable to see when the shield wielders would die.

Now the stranger tells you "you can only pick one, but you must pick one. You do not have the option to decline. Either you pick one or you die here and now." Which one would you choose?
